This is from after the last chapter and they're gonna have some unwelcome company, some former company that dare come back to the home they once lived in. Enjoy reading this guys.

Family of Two.

Chapter 58: Unwelcome Pet Company.

(The Loud House.)

Lincoln awakens to the sound of the birds chirping, he then gets up and panics when he realizes something. "Oh jeez! School!" He then gets out of bed, well falls out of bed and this gets the attention of someone.

The door opens and Luna comes in. "Lincoln?!" She then goes over and helps him up. "Kiddo, what the heck are you doing tumbling out of bed? Are you okay? Anything hurt in the body little dude?"

"Sorry and I'm alright, nothing hurt, but my alarm didn't go off and I'll be late for school, which means you'll also be late for school because you have to bring me to school, and chances we'll both be in deep trouble!" replied Lincoln with panic.

Luna chuckles and she ruffles his hair. "Linc, there's no classes for the both of us, remember?"

Lincoln then realizes this, from what happened yesterday. The incident with this ravenous termite attack at the school and with the High School a water issue that led to some flooding. "Oh, right. Wow. That was….. Well, that was embarrassing, sorry about that mom."

Luna then pulls him into a hug and strokes his white hair with her fingers. "Hey now. It's alright, we all have those moments that can be awkward in the morning and sometimes we forget what we were supposed to be doing and going to school seems to be the habit we're both used to, so don't push it too hard onto yourself. Also, now that you're awake, you wanna get something to eat?"

They then depart from the hug and Lincoln smiles. "Yeah, I'd like some breakfast." Luna helps Lincoln up and both of them head out of the room, but unknown to them, something small, brown and furry from the shadows underneath the tree see the house and heads to the nearest vent or opening at the porch.

Lincoln and Luna then make it to the kitchen and they see the food set up, Lincoln takes in the smell of the good food that was cooked. "Wow. Those are some good looking waffles, Great Grandma Harriet has been busy today."

"Wrong kiddo, this was made by me" replied Luna. "Great Grandma Harriet said she's headed someplace to search for something she may have misplaced, no clue what it is, but she said she'll be back later in the day. Which means the rest of today's chores will be us doing them."

"Okay, afterwards I have to get back to practicing with my song" replied Lincoln. They both go over and eat some waffles. "Wow. These are really good."

"Thanks, and I have been meaning to tell you Linc, I found someplace for you to practice you're song for the talent show. It's a good place I know and we can use it tomorrow and I know the person who runs the joint and would let us use it whenever we want" replied Luna.

Lincoln smiles hearing this. "Wow. Thanks mom, but I don't wanna take this from you, you've done a lot for me like asking the school to give me a chance to audition for the talent show. I don't want you to go through into making me happy. I'm okay with practicing on my own terms."

Luna smiles at how nice he is at not taking too much. "Linc, from what I have learned and still do with music, the best way to practice music is to enjoy the sound of your voice and I want you to listen to the sound of yours so you can be able to know how well the song is gonna be. Please, let me do this, for you kiddo."

Lincoln thinks about it and he knows he can't get away from this opportunity and he also doesn't wanna waste what his mom did for him. "Alright, alright. I'll do it mom, and thank you."

Luna kisses his forehead and she wipes away some syrup from his face. "Anytime kiddo and I do this to help see that happy face of yours. Also, is Jordan coming over to hang out?"

"No, she said she's gonna take advantage of this week and go to the mall with her friends. They're gonna go and look for some costumes for Halloween. Whether it be for Trick or Treating or for the Halloween costume party" replied Lincoln. "Which means we have the day to ourselves and the house of course."

Luna chuckles. "Well, someone else is coming here later and she wants to spend some time with us as well."

Lincoln knows who it's Sam, it's obvious his second mom figure would be coming to spend time with the two louds. "Is her little brother coming over?"

"Nope, Sam said Simon is headed to his friend's house to play some games and be part of his little gamer's club. So she'll be coming here to spend time with us and when she's headed home, she'll pickup her little bro from his friends place" replied Luna. "Now, let's eat up. Sam will be here soon and we have lots of things to do."

And just as they are about to finish eating they hear a knock on the door. "Huh, Sam's early" replied Luna. She goes over to the front door and she sees her girlfriend. "Hi Sam, what the heck are you doing here early?"

"Well, I finished dropping off Simon and I took the bus to get here and I was wondering what I can do to help out" replied Sam.

"Well, Linc and I were about to finish up breakfast, but I guess you can come in." Luna let Sam through and they go to the kitchen.

They see Lincoln put his plate into the sink. "Hey Sam, there's waffles on the table. Mom made a lot."

"Thanks, but no thanks. I already ate and I just came here to help and hang out replied Sam. "I know you two have chores to make and Luna texted me that the resident ghost isn't here right now, so I wanna help you guys get the chores done faster. Let's do this thing. Let me handle the dishes"

Luna goes to Lincoln. "Go get showered and dressed and then we can have this day done to hang out." Lincoln nods and he heads back upstairs.

Sam and Luna smile watching him head up to the room. "Times like this makes me feel like I did raise the little dude into my own kid. You know what I mean babe?"

Sam chuckles. "Yeah, I did have this weird dream though, that we're both adults and raising this white-haired kid in bed and he was….. He was like Lincoln when he was born and…. and it felt so real!"

Luna is shocked to hear this. "Huh, so I wasn't the only one who had the dream. It kinda felt like some kind of What If thing from the whole…. From the bad luck incident." Luna looks down and sighs and her hands turn into fists, still recalling what the old family did and what it almost cost them.

Sam then places a hand onto Luna's shoulder. "Lunes, calm down. That has passed and it's not coming back. I can promise you that." Luna then hugs Sam and she hugs her back and then Lincoln joins in the hug, he overheard them.

"I had the same dream as you guys did, but I was the one in the middle of the bed and looking to the two mom's I had" replied Lincoln. Luna and Sam feel touched by this and hug him as well.

But while the three of them are hugging they fail to notice a yellow flying creature looking for a way in and find son through the once room of Lincoln, through the slightly opened circle window.

(Later.)

Lincoln carries the light black bag of trash and he brings it outside of the house, he then sees the lawn has been trimmed. 'Sam must've finished the front yard, she must be in the backyard now.'

Lincoln heads for the trash cans and then he hears a very familiar bark and he looks around in panic and fear. 'What? What? Where did? That bark, that bark sounded…. Where did it come from?'

Lincoln looks around the block and the streets and sees nothing, but he swore he heard a very familiar barking and this kinda makes him scared and he backs up slowly, but first he places the bag into the trash can and then makes his way back into the house.

'Snap out of it Linc, you're hearing things. There is no way the old pets are here, they're at the pet shelter.' But he does not know, that the trash can he placed the garbage in moves a bit and falls over and something on four legs and white runs to the house, but sees no doggy door and goes to another part of the house.

(Backyard.)

Sam finishes with mowing the lawn and she turns off the lawn mower. "And done, now this is one nice backyard." Sam then pushes the lawn mower back to the shed, then she stops and looks to the tree and has an idea.

'Hmm, I could ask Luna that we should make Lincoln a Tree House. He could use it to hang out with his pals and also use it for when he needs some alone time.' But then she thinks about this again. 'But then again, Linc is still unstable and slightly sensitive with this new life change and he would rather seek comfort with Luna and me and Jordan more, I should discuss this with her next time.'

Sam then looks back to the tree and sees something lazing on the tree branch and meowing. "Wait what?"

She rubs her eyes and looks again and sees that the figure is gone. 'Weird, I thought I saw….. No, it can't be. They send Cliff away days ago.' Sam then pushes the lawn mower back into the shed and she heads back inside, but she looks back to the tree and is getting suspicious.

What she fails to see, that something comes out from behind the tree and sees the house. The black furry creature goes to the door but sees no doggy door and then meets up with the white furry one from the front yard and both bark and meow about what's been happening and look for another way in.

(Basement.)

Luna begins to grab the clothes from the washing machine and she places them into the dryer and she starts it. She then puts the basket down and she grabs a magazine on mother's monthly and checks the gazette and she sees she's sort of on the front page news.

'Dang. And I thought they'd be done with the news about me and Linc, looks like it's still going on for some reason.' Then Luna stops when she hears some squeaking. "What in the?"

Luna looks around the basement for the source of the sound, because she knows it wasn't the dryer, that thing was replaced last month. 'Is there a mouse in here?'

Then she sees some movement race by some tool boxes and then she hears the squeaking again. "Can't let some mouse go through what we got." She then rolls up the magazine and gets ready to hit this creature.

She then gets startled when something races past her legs. "Whoa what?!" The creature then takes refuge behind the washing machine. Luna then calms down and then she realizes. 'Wait, was that mouse brown and also kinda large? Like hamster large?!'

Luna shakes the thought of it and she goes closer to the washing machine. She uses her phone's flashlight and she shines it behind the washing machine and what she sees shocks her. "Geo?!"

It is Geo, the former Hamster of the louds. The hamster is dirty and has some mud on his body and then races out from the back of the washing machine as Luna tries to grab him. The hamster then climbs up her legs and is now in her clothes.

"Hey! Get out of there!" Luna scrambles around trying to get rid of the hamster, but he's small and fast and evades her. Luna continues to struggle around and get rid of the hamster, which she manages to get rid of him, but she slips and hits the side of the dryer and falls unconscious.

The hamster races out of the basement, leaving Luna unconscious on the floor.

(Upstairs.)

Lincoln walks up the stairs and tries to calm down. 'Easy Linc that was all in your head. It must've been the barking from another dog. Yeah, that's it. Another dog that seems to sound like Charles…. So, there's no way Charles would be back, just…. Just don't think of him and his…. His angry and mean… Face when he….' Lincoln then snaps out of it, he was not looking forward to recalling the incident when the pets attacked him while in the squirrel suit.

Lincoln sighs and he looks to the linen closet. "Maybe sweeping the hallways will calm me down."

Lincoln opens the closet, and something yellow flies by him and he turns around and see what it was. "Walt's?!"

It was the canary and it flies around him, but Lincoln freaks out and he grabs the nearest broom and uses it to chase off the bird. "No! Get away from me!"

Walt's evades Lincoln's attacks in which he's literally missing. Walt's then sees Cliff crawl out of the vents with Charles and they bark and meow which makes Lincoln stop and he slowly turns around and sees them.

He then sees Geo come up from the stairs. "No, no. No. No!" Lincoln backs up as the pets go near him, they all wanna know what was wrong with him.

But all Lincoln could see were the four pets he once loved, and they're angry and animal instinct faces attacking him. He recalls the many times he begged them to stop attacking him, he begs them to stop biting, scratching and pooping on him.

He recalls Charles biting and trying to tip off the leg, Cliff with his claws trying to sink its way into the head of the suit and his sharp claws reaching into the eye holes and scratching his face, Geo making him trip constantly and then trying to gnaw at the suits legs and Walt's pecking barrage all over him and also trying to scratch all over. He then recalls that when they finish their attack, they would pee or poop on his motionless and crying form, almost like they're showing their dominance and all he could do, is cry.

Lincoln continues to back up and he was now in the line closet and as he backs up, the mop next to him falls and hits the shelf and causes the cleaning materials to fall on his head hard and he falls unconscious with the pets surrounding him.

(Kitchen.)

Sam is in the area and she sorts out the food Lincoln and Luna are missing. Then she stops and looks to the time. "Huh, Luna doesn't take long for washing clothes, also they don't have much to wash."

Sam then goes to the basement and she heads downstairs. "Luna, you done down there?" She then sees the dryer is done and she's shocked to see Luna on the floor and unconscious. "Oh my God! Luna!"

Sam goes over and checks if she's okay. "Luna? Luna wake up!"

Luna slowly opens her eyes and looks around. "Sam? Sammy?" She then slowly gets up. "Ow. My head."

Sam helps her up. "Easy Lunes, easy. What the heck happened to you?"

Luna then tries to recall and then it hit her. "Oh no! Geo, he was here and he…. Lincoln!" She then races out of the basement and so does Sam, she knows that either his is serious or Luna was seeing things.

Luna and Sam make it to the living room. "Lincoln? Lincoln?!" they then hear some animal sounds coming from upstairs and they head up there, but Sam also grabs a black trash bag in the process.

They make it upstairs and what they see shocks them, Lincoln is in the linen closet and is unconscious with all the cleaning supplies on the ground but not spilled and surrounding him are all the pets. Charles, Cliff, Geo and Walt's and they all look to Luna and Sam and are confused.

But deep down, Luna is in pure heated anger. She grabs the broom that Lincoln used and she uses it to chase them off. "Get away from my kid you vermin!"

The pets scatter and try to avoid her, but then Geo is caught by Sam and put into the black trash bag and then Walt's is also caught. "Got them!"

Luna then hands Sam the broom and she uses it to keep the pets into one corner of the halls, while Luna goes over to get her kid out of the closet. "Lincoln? Linc can you hear me?"

Lincoln slowly opens his eyes. "Mom? Ow! My head, what the heck happened?" Lincoln then sees the tears in Luna's eyes and she has a bruise on her forehead. "Mom? What happened to you?" Then he feels a few bruises on his head. "Why does my head hurt?"

Then Luna hugs him. "You're okay, you're alright and that's all that matters." Luna cries as she's happy he's alright and still kicking.

Lincoln then is shocked and he sees Sam backing up all the pets away from them, he then recalls that they did come home and that scares him. Then, Geo and Walt's break free from the garbage bag and they race to Lincoln and Luna.

Lincoln whimpers seeing them come towards him, Luna doesn't need to turn around to know and so she grabs one of the fallen plastic containers with holes on it and she turns around and contains them within. The two pets try to get out, but they can't and all they see is the scared look from Lincoln and an angry look from Luna.

Charles and Cliff try to run off to Lincoln and Luna, but with quick instincts Lincoln grabs another plastic container with holes and he places it on top of the dog and cat and both pets try to bark and meow at what was happening.

Lincoln takes some deep breathes and Luna goes over to him and hugs him. "Easy Linc, take it easy. It's done, it's over now."

All Lincoln could do was look at the pets and then cry in his Luna's embrace. Sam is also at a loss for words and she drops the broom and goes over to join the hug and comfort Lincoln.

The pets are confused by this and now they see what Cliff meant when he broke them free from the animal shelter. Cliff has been going here many times and driven off by the ghost of the house and now that the ghost is gone, they think they're welcome back into the house. But they don't know why Lincoln is upset, why Luna is angry at them and where the heck the rest of the family are.

They don't even recall what they did to Lincoln, because they didn't know it was him in that squirrel suit they attacked.

(Later.)

Lincoln and Sam watch as Charles, Cliff, Geo and Walt's are being hauled into some pet carriers and into the back of the van from the animal shelter and Luna is talking to the woman who drives the vehicle.

Lincoln and Luna both have some bandages on their heads and deep down Lincoln feels bad, he feels bad that the pets had no clue what was going on and feels bad that he still feels fear from them.

Lincoln sees the sad eyes from the pets, but he looks way and hugs Sam and she hugs him back. The cute pets he once loved were still there, but he also saw the animals who attacked him and made him scared. The pets can only watch as the boy they looked to as they're master is no longer there for them, Charles wants to know why Lincoln is scared, but he can't.

Then Luna looks to the pets with a stern look. "Don't ever come back here again!" She then shuts the back of the van and the vehicle drives off.

Luna sighs and she goes over to Lincoln and Sam. "So, are they headed back to the animal shelter?" asked Sam.

"No, they're gonna be sent to another one. Not here in Royal Woods, Saginaw" replied Luna. "They're going to Cheboygan and they're gonna make sure they don't even find a way to escape, they're pretty crafty from the footage they got when the pets got out. They have to keep an eye on them so they don't bail out, again."

Lincoln departs from hugging Sam and he goes over and hugs Luna. Luna embraces her child and does her best to calm him down. "Shh, it's alright Lincoln. It's okay now. They're gone and this time, they're not coming back."

Lincoln continues to hug Luna and sheds a few tears, Sam also joins in. Luna and Sam can tell that Lincoln is now haunted by the nightmare of the past, of his torment in the hands of the animals they once knew and loved and pets. Luna was not going to let this happen again.

While they're hugging, Great Grandma Harriet is right there looking at them with tons of books in a wagon. "Okay. So maybe the next time I leave the house for a day, I am leaving a glyph to make sure things aren't messed up again. Also, what the heck happened while I was gone?"

A/N: I thought that it would be final to let the pets try and come back and then have them sent far as to not make things a bit troublesome for Lincoln and Luna and the life they have, to make up for the Future chapter from the "What if" scenario. Leave a review and tell me what you all think.
