Chapter 65: Lincoln's Nightmare.
(Morning in the Loud House.)
Luna is awake and she begins to help Great Grandma Harriet with the cooking, even with her arm still in the cast she can still help out. Luna handles the pancakes, while Harriet cooks the bacon and eggs.
Then someone else comes into the kitchen, Michelle Lewis and she is still sleepy. "Morning guys, where the heck is Lincoln?" She goes over and makes some coffee.
"Still snoozing, the little dude did have a wicked sleepwalk last night and I think he needs some more sleep, just let him sleep a bit and then I'll go and wake him up when breakfast is ready" replied Luna.
"Kinda shocks me he would sleepwalk, what did he even dream last night?" Great Grandma Harriet then places the plate of bacon onto the table.
Luna then tries to recall. "No clue, but I think it could be in par with my dream? No clue, but whatever he was dreaming must've made him feel better and probably will give him lots of energy to get his cast and my cast off."
Michelle then takes a pancake and she sandwiches Bacon and an Egg in between. "So, what time do you guys have to go to the hospital to get the casts off?"
"Later, probably an hour after school begins. Jesse Rosato is gonna come and escort us to the hospital, since no one else can drive the car for us today" replied Luna.
Great Grandma Harriet then helps Luna with the pancakes. "Luna's not wrong. I have a few more of my old hideouts to look for, some of them in the woods and might take me a day to find. So, I could be home later."
"Well, I wish I could escort you guys, but I have to get to work today. Gotta help with the October week sale" replied Michelle. "Will you two be headed to school later afterwards?"
"No, once we get the casts off, we're both coming back home to rest up our arms from the casts and enjoy each other's company and also tell the little dude about what he did" replied Luna. "Once again our friends are gonna be the ones to bring the school work to us. Plus, got word from Sam that the schools will be having a seminar someplace so they're won't be school starting tomorrow till Friday."
They then continue to talk about some stuff about what they plan to do and then Luna let's Michelle in on their plan for Halloween and where they're going and this is a shock to Michelle Lewis. Huntington oaks? The rich place is where they're going.
Luna then sees a message from Jordan. 'Turns out, no classes today and same goes with Sam. We're coming to you guys to visit and also help you out of the casts at the hospital. Tell Lincoln his lover says hi.'
Luna smiles seeing this. 'Looks like we got a major change of plans for today.'
(Lincoln and Luna's room.)
Lincoln is sleeping peacefully as he hugs his plush Polar Bear and he smiles at his dream, and still has the cast to his left arm. But then he tosses and turns and he feels like something is wrong and the calm smile on his face is now gone, then all of a sudden he opens his eyes and has pure fear.
(Lincoln's Mind.)
Lincoln looks around, he then sees he's in a room, a room with no things. It was empty and it looked like the place was familiar, almost too familiar.
What was odd, was that he can see everything through some eye holes, like he's wearing something. Lincoln then feels his face, but all he can feel is this foam like fur and then he looks to his hands and sees brown furred gloves, mascot gloves!
"No. No. No, no, no, no, no!" He then realizes, Lincoln is back in the dreaded Squirrel suit, fear and panic are now within him and he bangs onto the door. "Luna! Luna! Mom! Momma! Anyone! Help me!"
He then cries in the suit, he then realizes he's back in his old room, the Linen closet that has been devoid of all his things and now he's back to the life of bad luck. He then thinks about what happened. 'W-Was….. Was that life, the family of two? Was that all a….. A dream?!'
But then he hears banging on the door. "Huh?" He then backs up in fear as he hears this angered banging onto his own door and he feels like something was coming for him, something he knows.
The door is then kicked open and he cowers in fear, he then looks to the doorway and he sees this white light and a black silhouette comes closer towards him, this makes him cry and cower in fear at what it was and what it wants.
Then he feels it hugging him. "Shh, it's okay. I'm here now, I'm here kiddo." He knows that voice, that calm and soothing voice of the one person who has been trying to keep him alive and well, his mom, Luna.
He then sees it is Luna and she has a worried look. "Mom? Mom, is that you?"
Luna then smiles and nods. "It is me, and don't worry I am going to get you out of here. Sam and Jordan are here as well and are also helping us, we got your back and we're getting out of this hell hole we once called home. Don't worry kiddo, I got you. We got you."
Lincoln feels happy that he's saved, he then tries to get the head off and Luna helps him. "Hang on Linc, we're getting you ou…!" Luna then goes wide eyed and looks to her kid in shock.
Lincoln is confused and asks her. "M-Mom? What's wrong?"
Luna then has blood coming from her mouth and then a knife is pierced through her chest. This makes Lincoln scream in horror. "Mom! Luna! No!"
Luna then looks to Lincoln with fear and concern. "R-Run, run…. Run….. Son." She then falls to her side and then dragged away from Lincoln.
"No! Momma!" Lincoln tries to grab her, but then he sees who dragged her away. "N-No!" It was the rest of the family: Lola and Lana drag Luna to the hallway and they're with their parents, Rita and Lynn Sr.
Then Luan comes up the stairs with the corpses of Sam and Jordan and Lisa has a device in her hand and then behind her is a mind controlled Lucy and Leni and also a cyborg made Lily who is giggling creepily.
Lincoln is horrified by this, the old family is back and they killed the people the people he loves. "No! No, no! Stop it!"
The family all have sick and sadistic grins and blood shot eyes with demonic horns and sharp teeth.
"Hi kiddo, what do you think you're doing? You can't escape from us, we need you. You're family needs you and we need to be together, forever and ever" said Lynn Sr.
"I'm you're momma, I'll always be here and right now we need you. We need your luck to make us feel happy, don't you want us to be happy son?" said Rita as she goes to Lincoln.
"I have a pageant coming up and you're going to help me win!" said Lola.
"I wanna get bit by a gator so I can be one and you're luck will help me big brother!" said Lana.
"We needed to make sure that these two stayed in line and did not interfere with our plans, a shame we had to remove their brains, but at least they are obedient" replied Lisa as she controls Lucy, Leni and Lily. "Oh, and Lily was just a pathetic cry baby. So, we had to make some changes and now she's the perfect next generation loud and also a powerful body guard."
Then Luan goes closer. "Sorry Linc, but we can't have this little bitch help you out. She's causing trouble with what we want and what we want is you to make us happy and all the luck in the world."
"Yeah brother." Lori comes out from the ceiling. "Bobby and I have a date and soon, you will marry Ronnie Anne and will have so many kids, and they will bring us bad luck too. We can have the wedding now and keep the luck going."
Lincoln sheds tears and he sees Luna looking at her with lifeless eyes. "No, no! Luna! Mom!" Then someone stomps on his foot. He then looks up to see who it was holding the bat. "No."
"Hello bro. Glad to be back together again huh?" It was the sports jock who made this happen, Lynn Loud Jr and she is looking more deadly and demonic than Lincoln could ever imagine.
Lynn then sees Luna, she goes over and rips her head off, this makes Lincoln cry and he looks away. But then he turns around and sees Luna's head in front of him on the ground and he feels like vomiting. "No!"
"See bro, we got together again and Luna can be with you too, like a trophy for ya and we'll never deal with other people again" replied Lynn with a demonic voice. "We can use the luck to do whatever we want and win it all, take all and rule all!"
The other louds agree. "But to do that, we need you to stay in the suit and never, ever take it off!" said Lori. "Lisa, now."
Lisa nods and she goes towards Lincoln, she then controls Leni and Lucy to hold Lincoln down. "No! No! Let me go! No! Luna! Momma!"
"Please cease you're resistance and let me do my work" replied Lisa. She then pulls out a collar that is high tech and has sparks on it. "This collar, once it is attached to you, then it will clamp down and then begin to lock the suit onto your body and you will never be able to take it off. The suit will be your new home, you're personal prison, and you're new life."
The other louds laugh evilly. Lincoln freaks out and tries to break free. "No! No! No! No, stop!"
Lynn then has the same collar and plans to put it to his arms, the twins also have some for his feet and Luan has one for his body.
"Please! Stop it! Stay away from me! Leave me alone! Noooooo! Luna! Mom!"
(Back to reality.)
Lincoln opens his eyes and screams in horror and he falls off the bed in a major panic with his blanket around him. "No! No! Get it off of me! Get it off of me now!"
The door is opened and coming in is Luna, Michelle, Great Grandma Harriet, Sam and Jordan. "Lincoln!"
They all go towards him and get him out of the blanket. He then cries and thrashes to break free, and he nearly hits them. "Whoa! Lincoln, calm down!" said Sam.
Luna then grabs her kid and she hugs him, Lincoln continues to thrash around, but then he stops and realizes something. "What? What the? I'm….. I'm home?"
Luna then strokes his hair. "Yes, yes your home. It's over now kiddo, it's over now Lincoln."
The very sound of his mom saying those words, makes him go wide eyed. Lincoln departs from the hug and he looks to Luna, he then sees Sam, Jordan and Michelle Lewis and he also sees Great Grandma Harriet by the doorway. "Lincoln, it's alright, it's over now."
Lincoln then looks around the room, and then he looks back to Luna. "M-Mom?" He then moves his hand towards her.
Luna takes his hand and lets it touch her face. "Linc, I'm real. We're all real, the nightmare is over. You're here now, it's okay."
Lincoln then sheds tears and he hugs Luna. "Mom! Mom! You're here, you're alive! You're here momma!" Lincoln cries into his shirt, and even with the cast on his left arm, he didn't care and neither did Luna, also because they're arms are probably healed by now.
Luna hugs her son and strokes his hair. "Yes, yes I'm here. I'm here kiddo, and I'm not going anywhere Lincoln. Not now, not ever my child." She then kisses his head and does her best to sooth her crying boy.
Jordan and Sam also place their hand onto Lincoln's back to show him this is real and so does Michelle. They can feel the boy trembling and still sobbing and trying to speak.
"F-Family… F-Family they….. They come and… And kill us. M-Mom, I don't….. I don't wanna l-lose you!"
It was then Luna realizes what his nightmare was. 'He dreamt of the family, coming back and killing me and taking him back to the…. To the squirrel suit. God damn it!'
Sam and Jordan also understood and so does Great Grandma Harriet, though Michelle is a bit confused by this. Luna then continues to hug her son and keep him comforted.
"Lincoln, you're nightmare. That was not real, and it's not gonna be real, I assure you that it's not gonna happen again and we're all gonna be together. Alive and well kiddo." She then rocks her son back and forth.
"The nightmare is over and the old family is not gonna come back and hurt us, I will not let anyone hurt you. I promise you my child, as long as I live, no one will hurt you."
Lincoln cries still and then he kisses his moms' cheek. "I love you mom, I love you momma! I love you so, so much momma!" He then cries into her chest and hugs her tightly.
"Momma loves you to son." Luna sheds her own tears, her son is in fear and pain and this will truly affect him greatly. She cannot let this happen, she has to help him. She then looks to Sam. "Call Doc Kendrick and ask if he does house calls."
Sam nods, she knows what she means. If they can't leave the house to get their casts off, then they're have to bring the doctor to the house to do the job instead.
Luna stays like this and hugs her son, to keep him from breaking down. "Easy Linc, I'm here. Momma's here, momma's got ya. I love you so much kiddo, always and always Lincoln."
Jordan feels bad for whatever Lincoln saw and she joins in the hug and also cries, then Michelle feels the emotions and she hugs them as well.
Great Grandma Harriet sighs. 'Looks like Lincoln has not gotten over his fear of the past, the past of the summer of the day the luck ran out. I hope this doesn't affect their monthly visit to Leni, and they're attempt to go and see Luan.'
(Afternoon.)
Great Grandma Harriet is now off to look for her hideouts and Michelle Lewis is off to work at Reiningers and now we see Lincoln laying on the hammock with his mom, Luna, and he snuggles close, but they're not alone.
On Luna's left is Sam and on Lincoln's right is Jordan and they too snuggles close to their lovers and hold their hands to Lincoln, to show him they're there and also real and not going to leave him.
Lincoln and Luna got the casts off thanks to Dr. Kendrick who does make house calls. Luna tells him why and he fears that Lincoln might still be scarred and it will be a long time before he faces those fears and sends them away from his thoughts, in the meantime he needs all the comfort he can get. This is something a therapist might not be able to fix, or it could get worse.
Luna looks to her son, Lincoln also looks to her and he touches her face to make sure she was real, this makes him sad and shed some tears and he hugs her again. Luna hugs him as well, and so does Jordan and Sam.
They know he's still hurt and traumatized from this. They needed to speak some comforting words for him.
Jordan: Everything is real Lincoln, everything you have been through especially the love we both have shared since we first met that day is truly real. All the memories are with us and are not fake at all. This is the world we live in and it's not going away from us.
Sam: That nightmare was nothing more than an illusion of your fear kiddo. None of it is ever gonna happen again. We're gonna help you through this, we're all friends, lovers and family and I am not going to let you go through this hell alone and neither will Jordan or anyone of the people we know and love.
Luna: The family of old is not coming back and I won't push you into telling me what you had in your nightmare. I know it'll be too painful to speak and I don't wanna see my kid hurt from the tormenting nightmare you encountered. As long as we're together and live, then everything will be okay and this family of two that we have, is gonna keep on living.
Luna then kisses his forehead and pulls him close. "I promise you kiddo."
All of them speak in unison and they hug the weeping boy. "We love you Lincoln, always and always."
Hearing them all say that, it puts tears to his eyes, tears of joy that everything is real and that what he saw is never going to happen. "I love you all, I love you all so, so much!"
They all stay like this, not separating and with tears in their eyes. They are not going to let him face this evil illusion alone and sure as heck they will show him how much he means to them and that everything he has been through, the adventure that started on that very court win, was all real.
Lincoln then looks to Luna and kisses her cheek. "I love you mom, I love you so much momma."
Luna smiles and she kisses his forehead and wipes away his tears. "Momma loves you too Linky, always."
As they all stay like this, they then notice Lincoln has his eyes closed and has drifted off to sleep and not letting go. They all smile, seeing that he has now been helped and that the nightmare is now over.
But then they all worry about something. 'Tomorrow's his birthday, we can't let him go through torment or his special day will turn into a total disaster.' They needed a plan, a plan to help Lincoln out of his torment and show him an awesome day, a day to be happy about and not reflect on the history of hell he faced.
Luna has a new mission, one she will not fail. 'Tomorrow Linc, tomorrow it'll be just you and me, and then we can celebrate and you're going to have the best birthday, ever!'
