Family of Two.
Chapter 66: My son, Lincoln's Birthday.
(October 15, the Loud House.)
The sound of the birds chirping outside of the window are not enough to wake the sleeping kid in the bed, with his cast now off and snuggling onto his Polar Bear Plush, the now 12 year old Lincoln Loud is enjoying this nice moment of peace. He had a rough time when he had the nightmare last time and now he can sleep peacefully.
But then the door to his room opens and someone comes in with a tray of food. Luna Loud, the mother to Lincoln walks in and smiles seeing her child still asleep. She then places the tray of food onto the table and she goes over to Lincoln's side.
"Linky, time to wake up little dude. Time to get up and get ready for the day my child of mine."
Lincoln opens his eyes slightly and sees his mom and smiles, he then yawns. "Morning mom." He then turns over. "There's no school today, five more minutes." He's not wrong, there is a school seminar for all classes until Monday.
Luna chuckles. "Come on kiddo, we got a big day ahead of us and lots of fun to enjoy."
But Lincoln still won't budge and only has one thing to respond. "No. Never. Let me sleep forever. I don't wanna get up, let me sleep momma."
Luna should be annoyed, but this was cute of him to do, even though he's now 12 he's still as adorable as he was when she first held him and for Luna, he still is. She then picks up Lincoln, and he doesn't seem to mind.
She then lets him rest on her lap and chest as she sits onto the beanbag chair, she then slowly strokes his hair and kisses his forehead and she hums a soothing tune. 'Looks like the plan is not goin as I thought.' She then sees Michelle Lewis and Great Grandma Harriet peeking through the door and smiling. Luna gives them the thumbs up and both of them head out of the room and down the stairs and Harriet makes some calls on the phone, while Michelle heads to the neighboring houses to give them the confirmation that it's go time!
Luna continues to rock her son back and forth, and then he opens his eyes and smiles seeing his mom looking down to him, it reminded them of when he was very little and she would cradle him to help him calm down or sleep.
Luna then kisses his nose and whispers. "Tell me Lincoln, what day is it today?"
Lincoln then looks to the calendar and see his name is marked. "October….. 15. Huh, that sounds kinda familiar."
Luna chuckles. "It does doesn't it? Try and figure it out and take your time my child. Take your time."
Lincoln then thinks about this, and then his eyes go wide and he sits up. "It's my birthday!"
Luna chuckles and she hugs Lincoln tightly. "Happy Birthday Lincoln! Happy 12th birthday my child! Oh, you're growing up!" She then tickles her son making him laugh.
"Stop it mom. Stop it!" The white haired boy enjoys this assault from his mother and both of them then rest on the beanbag chair and look to the window. "My first birthday, and it's just us as the family without the others huh? Sure is kinda weird."
"Well, we celebrated the first one when it was my birthday and clearly this ain't gonna be any different kiddo" replied Luna. "Now come here." She then pulls Lincoln to her and she kisses his forehead, and then his cheek and nose. She continues to show her motherly affection towards him and Lincoln doesn't mind, he knows she cares for him and is happy the day has come, when he turns 12.
Luna then stops and Lincoln hugs her. "Thanks for being my mom, Luna. I don't know what would've happened if you had never come and saved me."
Luna smiles and she hugs her child and strokes his white hair. "Same here, I am greatful for you being my child and happy birthday kiddo, happy birthday Lincoln."
They soon break the hug and Luna gives him his breakfast. Which are bacon and a scrambled egg, sandwiched between two small pancakes and with some warm chocolate milk.
Luna smiles and watches as her son enjoys this. 'Today is gonna be an awesome day for ya little dude.'
(Later.)
Merris and Michelle come out of the Detectives house and both of them are carrying the large gift out of the house. "Easy. Easy! Easy does it!" said Merris.
"Where the heck is your friend anyway? I thought he was coming to help out" asked Michelle as she backs up.
"Danny said he was going to rally the others to come over and help out, we're gonna need all the help we can get and he said he's gonna be bringing some guests from Great Lake City and someone from Bay City" replied Merris. "The issue is, Lucy won't come because she's scared of the house itself."
"Well, this sucks and the guests haven't even come and the other friends to help out." replied Michelle. They then make it to the front yard and are ready to cross the road.
But then Michelle sees the front door of the loud house open and she spots Luna. "Shit! Back up to the house! Go back now! Move it!" She lifts the whole box with Merris still holding it and she brings it to the back of Merris' house.
Lincoln and Luna come out of the house and are dressed for the occasion.
Lincoln: An orange polo, sleeveless red, blue and purple hoodie, blue jeans and white belt and white and red sneakers. He also has a red bracelet with the name of Team Pentakill.
Luna: White and black striped top, purple long sleeve jacket, black knee torn jeans with a white belt and purple boots with white and black straps and she has the necklace Lincoln made for her from last month.
"Alright, we're all dressed and ready to go" said Luna. She then sees her son checking his phone at all the birthday texts from his pals. "Come on kiddo, we should get going now."
Lincoln nods and they both head to the car and they drive off, to wherever Luna has planned.
Meanwhile, Michelle checks and sees they're gone. "Okay, the coast is clear and we are ready to go back now." She then sees Merris holding onto the gift and shocked. "What the heck is wrong with you?"
Sandra Merris looks to Michelle Lewis. "Where did that strength even came from?!"
Then they carry the box back to the Loud House, and just in time for multiple vehicles to arrive, the assistance is here and they are ready to get this birthday party started in motion and fast before Lincoln and Luna come back.
(Somewhere on the outskirts of Royal Woods.)
The Purple Ferrari drives through the road with great speed and Lincoln looks through the passenger's window at the passing trees. "So, where are we going mom?"
Luna smiles. "There it is kiddo." Lincoln is shocked to see what it was: Dairyland Amoosement Park, and it is packed with people who are all enjoying the place.
Lincoln is amazed. "Wow! Looks like you did come up with everything. This is gonna be awesome!"
The purple Ferrari parks and they both head out and go towards the place, Luna was able to get Lincoln a pass so he can be able to go onto all the rides and play some games. "Go on kiddo, today is you're day and I wanna see how much fun you can really have" replied Luna.
Lincoln smiles, and he races off, but then he goes back and hugs his mom. "Thank you mom!" He then grabs her hand and she follows him onto the first thing they ride.
They ride the Dairyland Roller-coaster, they then head for the Milk Shaker and then then Abductor and then they keep it going through more rides across the Amoosement Park, they then play some of the fun games they have.
Lincoln then sees a knock the bottles off game and he sees the many prizes being held there and he sees one that is interesting. "Awesome!" He then hands the pass and the man sees it.
"Alright kid, let's see what you can do." Lincoln and Luna can see that this man kinda looks familiar, but where? The man has this grey goatee that kinda looks fake and he's wearing a blind man's shades and a black top hat and his outfit is painted on to look like he's an employee of the place.
Lincoln and Luna can also recognize his voice, like they've heard it every day back when they were still siblings. It was then Lincoln and Luna knew who this man was and they both look to each other and nod. "Go ahead and win this kiddo."
The man chuckles. "I doubt it rocker mom."
Luna then looks to Lincoln. "To beat a game that might not be what it seems, think of a goal you wanna gun for and then make the hit, and it'll come clear and crystal that the win is set, but whether you win or lose, the bad guy loses."
Lincoln smirks, "And the good guy wins it." The man is confused by what they just said.
Lincoln takes in a deep breath and he uses his man-with-the-plan skills as well as his dodge ball skills and he tosses the ball upwards, it then comes back down and it bounces off the table and knocks past the bottles and then punches off the wall and then hits the wall of the nearby rides and then bounces off multiple rides and it comes back at full speed and the bottles are knocked off with ease and the glue attaching them together is shattered and the ball hits the other three placed up and glued up bottles.
The man is jaws dropped and his glasses fall off. "Holy nachos! What the heck?!"
"Sir." the man looks to Luna who looks to him sternly. "My kid won, so the prize please."
The man grumbles and Lincoln points to the top prize and he gives it to Lincoln, the prize? A really large purple and orange bear that also acts as a bean bag chair for two.
Luna is shocked he would get this, but she knows why and that thing is definitely legit, because the tag says so. "You got a good arm, but glad it's just you" said the man.
"Oh, it's not over yet" replied Luna, she then pulls out her phone which sent a message earlier and then the guards of the place arrive and look to the man in anger. Then an employee comes with the manager. "I came prepared and asked for the security number of the place if we saw something odd and out of place."
The manager goes to the man. "We have been using rigged games to con the good people of their money and here in Dairyland we do not do that, and we know only one man who does this and has been banned many times here for many of his cheating schemes."
The guards then keep the man from running and Lincoln does the honor and removes the man's disguise. "Flip! Looks like someone bailed himself out and got caught by the law."
"Dang it! I could've gotten away with my new business, if it weren't for you meddling louds and this family of yours!" Flip is then being escorted and the cops are on their way to get this guy back in jail, for breaking his parole!
The manager then thanks Lincoln and Luna and they even let them onto some of the rides for free and the food they buy will be half-off. They'll accept this, just as long as Flip is locked up for good and he will be.
(Later in the day.)
Luna walks out of the Amoosement Park, with her son asleep in her arms and she's also dragging a wagon of some of the things Lincoln got. Which is just one, the large bear bean bag chair.
Luna then opens the door, but someone else does. "Here, let me help you." This woman has blonde hair up to her back and she looks like in her 20's. "You look like you have a lot of things at hand, and you needed some help."
Luna smiles. "Thank you ma'am." She then places Lincoln at the passenger's seat and buckles on his seatbelt. She then grabs the large bear and places it in the backseats. "Thanks for the help miss."
"Carson, Jessica Carson and I know who you are Luna Loud and you're kid Lincoln, the story of you and you're family is known through Michigan and chances the rest of the world and I hope you and Linc have a safe trip home."
Luna then gets back into her car and they drive off. Jessica waves and sighs. 'What a nice family, I hope they can manage even if it's just the two of them.'
"Hey sis! Time to go!" yelled her brothers. Jessica sighs in annoyance. 'Had to ruin the moment.' She then goes over to her family who are all getting into the family van.
Then her 16 year old brother asks. "What the heck were you doing sis and who was the teen chick babe you were helping? Friend of yours?"
Jessica sighs. "None of your business Chester, now leave it be!" They get into the family van and they drive back to Tuscola.
(The Loud House.)
The purple Ferrari arrives and Luna sees the decorations have been set at the front and she smiles she then sees her son starting to stir. "What? What happened to the cotton candy king of deep fudge mountain land?"
Luna snickers at her son and the whacky dream he had. 'Gotta keep him away from the cotton candy.' She then helps him out of his seat belt. "Come on kiddo, there's a surprise for you in the back."
Lincoln yawns and is still drowsy, he had a major sugar crash after ten cotton candy. "Woohoo… a surprise." He then feels like going back to sleep, then Michelle Lewis sees them and goes to them, and she opens the door.
"Glad you guys….. What the heck happened to Lincoln?" Michelle then sees the giant bear in the back. "And what the heck is that?!"
Luna chuckles and she opens the door and she goes over and picks up her son. "Let's just say, he won something big, we took down an old enemy and he got himself into way too much cotton candy."
Michelle then grabs the large bear and carries. "Oh, well everyone is at the backyard and the hot issue is we made cotton candy and it's in rainbow."
Lincoln opens his eyes but he's still sleepy. "Yay, more…. more cotton…. Cotton candy." He then drifts off to sleep on his mother's shoulder.
Luna and Michelle realize something. "This is bad." But they wanna see if he can wake up when he sees the party, so they head to the back and Michelle is carrying the oversized bear. "Where the heck did you guys get this beast from? A fairy tale story?"
They head to the back and everyone cheers. "Happy Birthday Lincoln!"
Luna smiles and then shows them Lincoln and they are all shocked, he's asleep!
Clyde and Jordan come over. "What the heck happened?"
Luna chuckles. "Lots of Cotton Candy." She then sees Bernie and Seymour with the Cotton Candy machine, and they decide to move it to the side of the shed so he doesn't see it.
Then someone blonde and a year above Luna comes over and this shocks Luna. "Here, let me see what I can do Lunes." Luna nods and lets her carry Lincoln.
The teenager rocks Lincoln back and forth and rubs his back. "Wake up Linky, time for your birthday. You wouldn't want everyone to just watch you be a sleepy little Linky now would you?"
Lincoln chuckles as he knows that voice. "No, no I don't… wanna wake up Leni. I….. I wanna sleep some…." Lincoln then departs from the cradling hug and sees who is carrying him. "Leni?"
It is Leni! Leni Lauren, wearing a lime dress with sparkles, teal skirt and black leggings, white slippers with a teal bow on each and her hair tied into a ponytail. "Happy birthday Lincoln."
Lincoln sheds some tears and he hugs her. "Leni! You're here! You came! You're really here! Oh my god!"
Leni hugs Lincoln tightly. "Yes, yes. I'm here Linky, I came and all this for your special day." She then sees Luna with tears. "Come on in this Luna."
Luna then comes over with tears and hugs them both, Leni sheds tears as she hugs both the mother and son of the loud house. She felt like this was old times, like when they were the ones who always gave comfort to each other and to Lincoln.
Great Grandma Harriet stays out of this and juts smiles from the shadows, she can't show herself otherwise Leni will freak out. She still recalls the house being haunted when the day came before the court.
They then depart from the hug and Leni kisses his cheek and she puts him down to the ground. "Happy birthday Lincoln, 12 year's old and still the cute little brother I knew and still love."
Lincoln sheds some tears and hugs Leni again. "Thank you for being here, thank you so much Leni."
Lincoln then departs from the hug and he sees all the guests who are there. All of his friends, neighbors, his girlfriend, Pop-pop, Gran-gran and he sees that Ronnie Anne, Sid, Bobby and Maria showed up, and everyone has a gift for Lincoln. He even sees the large gift from his mom, the computer.
Lincoln smiled seeing this, he then looks to Luna and he has tears of joy. Luna smiles and she opens her arms out. "Come here baby."
Lincoln runs to his mom and embraces her. "Thank you mom, thank you for this day! I love you so, so much mom!"
Luna rubs his back and then strokes his white hair and then kisses his forehead. "You're welcome my darling child of mine, mom loves you too and a happy birthday son, and for more to come for our family of two." She then kisses his forehead and cheeks and they continue they're hug.
Everyone else claps and cheers for this moment and take some pics, this is a birthday Lincoln will never ever forget.
