Chapter 73: Trial and Glory.
(Washington D.C.)
Tons of news crews are there and are all talking about the biggest battle trial in the history of America. A trial between the producers of the show ARGGH! As they go up against a 16 year old mother, her 12 year old son and their ghostly great grandmother, and the whole thing will be live on TV for everyone to see this.
Tons of troops, cops and FutureTech forces gather and keep the area secure for any conmen who wish to stop this trial so they can continue with their illegal tourist operations.
Then a large aircraft arrives, a Brotherhood of NoD transport and it lands and coming out is the Sith Lord Hollow and with him is Luna, Lincoln, Michelle Lewis and Great Grandma Harriet and a raven flies down and morphs into Gyro. 'Well, looks like this is it. Time to end a show once and for all.'
Hollow then goes over to some troops and they report in some people they arrested who tried to come to the place with guns, which means some conmen tried to come and stop this.
Lincoln looks to the crowd of people who all wanna ask him some questions, but then Luna looks to all of them in anger and all the news crews stop with what they're doing and leave the boy be. Lincoln still has some bandages on him from yesterday, it's not bleeding anymore, but is still sore.
They then head to the front of the courthouse and see Gyro waiting for them. "Glad you could all make it, we are now locked and loaded to commence the trial and put an end to those who made this madness begin."
"Thank you Gyro, for helping us" replied Luna. "Also, someone wants to talk to you." Lincoln and Luna back off and Great Grandma Harriet goes towards Gyro.
Gyro knows where this is going. "This has something to do with that nightmare I gave Luna doesn't it?"
Harriet is upset from that incident. "Why did you let her have that nightmare? I wanna know the reason."
Gyro sighs. "I told you that when we met that night I gave her the nightmare, another reason is to see how she would react to the presence of being in the original timeline where the whole NSL thing is nothing more than a changed piece of reality, but to the fact she was used to Lincoln being her son did not do well and so it turned into something that hurt her and I am deeply sorry for what I did."
Harriet then looks to Luna and lets her speak. "I guess I can forgive you. Harriet told us all about you and what you can do and it kinda shocks us that there's magic and not the parlor tricks kind."
Gyro smirks. "Yeah, that kind of magic is nice and all, but not for combat. I think. I hope there isn't anything against us after I let you go through that parallel plain."
Luna smiles. "No need, that was a sign of what happens if things aren't the life we have now and it gives me an even stronger look onto keeping my kid safe and this small family together. So, nothing else wrong dude."
Gyro smirks. "Very well then." He then looks to the ghost. "And what about you?"
Great Grandma Harriet smiles. "If Luna is willing to forgive you, then I can as well." But then he smiles is gone. "Do not ever let that happen again. Understood?"
"Noted" replied Gyro. He then looks to Lincoln who is nervous. "Is he alright?"
Michelle answers that. "He's been silent and very clingy since he woke up and I think he might be saving his voice for when the whole thing begins and surely we aren't gonna let those people win after what happened."
Just then they spot some black cars arrive and coming out are the crew and the host of the show ARGGH! And the news crews than asks them questions like. "How does it feel to be an inspiration to all amateur ghost hunters who don't respect people privacy?"
Hunter Specter had no clue how to answer to all of that, he never knew his actions and ghost hunting dream would make so much madness and hurt a kid who once looked up to him. He knows they're gonna lose and he's okay with it. He can see that everything he's done has done nothing than make trouble and also anger a mother and scare her son and literally bring a near war to the people of Royal Woods.
Then there is a black van and coming out are peacekeeper soldiers with the man who was once the agent of the show.
Archie Ron Vengerman – Blonde short hair, though he looks like he got hurt a lot. How come? Answer: When the cops came to bring him to court, he tried to bail and the results: He landed onto someone's car and got beaten up by the owner and who was the owner of this car? WWE Superstar Braun Strowman, looks like Archie got those hands!
Seeing the man was making Lincoln angry and he wants to attack him, but Luna holds back her son and Great Grandma Harriet wants to make him suffer even more for what he said and what he did. Michelle Lewis knows this is going to be a very interesting trial.
Archie sees Lincoln and Luna and are angered by their presence and this summons, but he has fear when he sees their ghostly great grandmother. Then another van opens and they reveal the two producers of the show.
They see just how messed up this is all going to be and they know it's going to end badly if they lose and the family of the louds wins. They wanna make this right, but to that they need to talk to the Family who were violated by their show. The two producers of the show see Lincoln and Luna and they go towards them.
Jason J. McMilligan – jet black hair with glasses, a grey suit and white shirt with a red tie and black shoes.
Leonard H. Wallows – brown hair that reaches his shoulder but is tied into a ponytail, lightly shaved beard. Wearing a navy blue suit and pants with a white shirt and blue tie and black shoes.
These two are the men who produced the series known as ARGGH! And are the very same ones who plan to remake the show but for something else, for actual ghost searches and no hunting, but they never got to begin production or even air it yet.
"Miss Loud, can we have a moment to talk to you?" asked Leonard.
Luna makes sure Lincoln stays behind her as she lets these men speak. "What the heck do you guys want?"
"We wanna apologize for what Archie did and for the show to be responsible for all of this, we don't want this to come to be and we'll do whatever we can to make things right" said Leonard.
"Drop the charges please, we haven't even made the new season of a better show. We will provide whatever you two need, we just don't want the show to be shut down. We're trying to make it right and not do fake stuff" replied Jason.
They back up when Great Grandma Harriet stands next to Lincoln and Luna. Luna looks to them sternly. "There is nothing you can do to make things right. Can you two stop those idiot tourists from going after us? Can you stop those asshole ghost hunters from coming for us? Can you stop those conmen from trying to break my family?! Can you?!"
Everyone else hears this and then Lincoln snaps. "I hate your show! It's nothing more than trouble! Leave us alone and just lose already!" He then breaks down and cries and Luna comforts him, he doesn't wanna get hurt and he doesn't wanna lost his mom.
An airship in the sky shows on its big screen the footage of what happened at the park yesterday when Lincoln was being overcrowded and Luna being taken away by the two conmen and everyone gasps seeing this and they all look angrily at the people who made this happen, who brought they're show to the family and made it all go down south and too far.
The two producers and they're camera crew decided to go inside the court house, escorted by police. They knew that they're show screwed up, but they have the former agent who made this happen and the two men who called them.
Speaking of the two men, another transport comes and it opens to show Clyde and his two dad's, Howard and Harold McBride, the two men who called ARGGH! And brought this madness to their town and to everyone.
The news crews then ask them question for being heartless and not just leaving the family be. Howard and Harold don't know what to say, they thought they were doing the right thing. Clyde ignores everyone and just walks to the court house with a serious look.
They then see Lincoln crying and being comforted and they see the angered look from Harriet, she wants to kill them so badly.
Howard and Harold wants to hold Clyde's hand to comfort him, but he refuses and continues to go into the court house. Clyde doesn't need they're comfort, it's them who needs comfort but they won't get any.
(In the Supreme Court of Justice.)
Everyone gets to their seats. Luna, Lincoln and Great Grandma Harriet are seated next to each other with Michelle Lewis as their attorney and with lots of people on their side and the other area has the producers Jason and Leonard and with them is the rest of the crew of ARGGH! And the former Agent of the show Archie.
Troops keep an eye on things to make sure nothing else goes wrong.
Clyde and his dads were worried about this, well Clyde isn't because he knows this was his dad's fault for calling the show. Howard and Harold were scared to what happens when they get called up to speak.
The two producers know this is a fight that won't end well, the cameras are live and everyone in America and some parts of the world are seeing this.
At Royal Woods, Jordan and everyone else is watching this and seeing how it'll all end up, the rest of the louds all over the country are seeing this and have tears seeing Lincoln like this, they didn't want him to go through this kinda of assault of privacy and now the former sisters can see just how far invading someone's privacy can go and they're all rooting for Lincoln and Luna to win, though they are scared to see Great Grandma Harriet there.
The jury then comes and then the man who will make this all end with one gabble. The judge has arrived, Judge F.D Frederickson. A man in his late 50's, white hair and mustache and has glasses.
Everyone rises and then goes back to their seats. "Alright, so we are all here from the summons of Luna Loud, the mother of Lincoln Loud and appointed mother by the U.S Congress and Child Services."
Archie scoffs at this. The judge then goes through the notes. "We are here to go against the former agent of the show and the crew who were part of the show known as ARGGH! I actually know the show and heck my son gave up on it after the whole incident with the family."
Luna smiles. This is gonna be a win for them, the produces are scared, they're going to lose and possibly never get the chance to ask for forgiveness ever again.
They then begin the case and it starts with the host who then tells them all he knows about they're show and confesses it is all fake and he informs them of how his former agent wants to stick to their schedule and doesn't care about the signs that say private property.
The next one to speak was the agent himself and he says that he did what the job was supposed to do and that job was to stay on schedule and make sure they get good rating and he says he doesn't understand why they're all here in this trial and listening to this teen mom and weak kid. What he just said makes everyone gasp and look to him in anger, then he tries to sneak from this by telling them the two men who called them, the McBride's: Howard and Harold.
The camera crews were next to confess and they're words match Hunter's words and they all see that they all don't seem to like what happens with the fake stuff and all thought they were going to do some real ghost stuff.
Luna and Michelle can see that these people are just workers who thought they were doing something exciting, but in truth they were lied too.
Then comes the two producers and each one says that it was all true. That they have this special thing where they accept calls and go to locations to see the haunting which was for a new season but they didn't do any background checks and that Archie didn't do the same, well he did but he seemed to change the rules they made for the show and all he cared about was making sure the show sticks to the schedule and ratings and no need to ask permission or even think about how the residents feel with them putting on their show there.
This also raises some words that their show has an irresponsible man who made this happen, so the crew, Hunter and the two producers are not the wrong ones, they try to do their jobs and stick to the rules. It was ARGGH! Agent Archie who broke the rules and had no heart and was nothing more than a greedy Hollywood man.
Luna and Lincoln then understand this, and next are the McBride's who then tell them why they called them, to get rid of the ghost which makes everyone unhappy. They had no respect for the dead and everyone was against they're words and of course Clyde says that they wanna do this to pester and meddle with Lincoln and Luna, which makes people question some families in Royal Woods, some are horrid and have no sense of morale and some can be trusted.
With their word being said, the next ones are Lincoln, Luna and Great Grandma Harriet. Michelle Lewis is able to have footage to show everyone the truth of what happened throughout the whole ARGGH! Run in and the aftermath of it all.
Luna. "We were just trying to stay as the family we were meant to be, but then came some idiots who didn't know what they were doing, and after what they did all hell broke loose and we're facing obnoxious tourists and stupid fake ghost hunters who won't leave us alone and I could've been taken away from my son from those conmen! And all thanks to that stupid show that made it happen, we've become nothing more than attractions and outsiders don't see us as humans, they're all heartless and don't know how painful it is to be overwhelmed like that."
Great Grandma Harriet. "I do what I can to keep the family together. Sure I am a ghost and I can be dangerous, but I only use what I have to scare off those who dare to violate or harm my family. I know tons of other spirits who would do the same thing. We may be gone from the world of the living, but we still have our purposes after our demise and mine is to make sure that Lincoln and Luna are safe from anyone who would dare bring harm to us, I care and I love. What about those people? Do they care at all?"
Lincoln. "I just wanted to spend some time with my mom, my friends. That's all I want and I can't even get any privacy with them without being stalked by some creepy tourists and ghost hunting amateurs. It feels kinda like when….. When I had to go through that summer being surrounded by people who would beat me up just for….. For wearing that stupid suit!"
Lincoln begins to cry and Luna goes over to bring him back to the seat and comfort him, everyone feels bad for him and those on the wrong side can see just how much they're show and the people who saw they're show have brought back the memories of the summer that made them the family they are, though Archie cares little for this and just wants to get out of there innocent.
The judge can see just how far this has gone and feels bad for Lincoln and Luna. "Alright, we will all have a 15 minute break and then we can see what the verdict is."
(Outside the courthouse.)
Luna hugs her son who is still upset. Michelle and Great Grandma Harriet also comfort the crying boy.
"Hey louds!" They all know its Archie calling to them and being cuffed by cops. "How about you end this trial before you make yourselves look like idiots?! This is pointless and you two are pointless, this is nothing more than another luck thing that proves that boy is nothing more than weak bad luck!"
Luna is ready to kill him and so does Great Grandma Harriet, but then Hunter Specter punches Archie in the face and then he attacks him to the ground and then the rest of the ARGGH Crew comes and beats the shit out of him.
Luna and everyone else ignore this, even the producers ignore this and let it be. Luna just comforts Lincoln and makes sure he doesn't see this. They know they're gonna win, they know it'll all be over soon.
(After recess.)
Everyone comes back after the recess and the news crews continue with the live feed for everyone to see what the results are, the judge and jury come back and he slams his gabble. "Alright then, has the jury come to a decision?"
Archie on the other hand is covered in so many bruises and some blood from his mouth as well, they beat him up good!
One of the members of the jury gets up. "We have your honor, we here of the jury find the Archie Ron Vengerman, guilty for crimes of inspiring illegal tourism and violating the privacy of the loud family."
Lincoln and Luna sigh and the judge then reads the punishments. "With that being said, here we go."
"Archie Ron Vengerman, because of your actions and we saw what you did outside the court room, we have all come to the decision that you are going to be sent to jail for two weeks then you will be sent to the electric chair, on November 6." He then slams his gabble.
This makes Archie's eyes shrink. "No, no, no, no! No!" The cops then take him away. "No! Stop! No! Don't do this to me! I didn't do anything wrong!" Lincoln then gets out of his seat, grabs his chair and he throws it to Archie who goes unconscious.
"You did do something wrong and I'm gonna be there to watch you die!" said Lincoln in anger. This scares everyone, especially the McBride's"
The judge then reads the next one. "Since we have heard all we needed, we are now issuing the show and crew from ARGGH! To delay they're show until the end of the year and to pay for all the damages caused from what has transpired, even though you have paid for the first incident with your former argent, there is still the damages caused by the false tourism and those fake ghost hunters."
The crew and two producers understand, they know that they're show is the one that sparked it all.
"And next, for being responsible for making the call. Harold and Howard McBride, you two are hereby placed under 365 days of Community Service, followed by a whole year of house arrest and are issued a new restraining order, you cannot go near or even interact or do anything else towards Lincoln, Luna or even to their home, if the restraining order is broken, then we will contact Child Services to remove Clyde from your custody."
Hearing this shocks the McBride couple, and Howard faints, Clyde however nods and is okay with this. He'll keep a close eye on his dad's.
"And finally, those people who have been responsible for being part of the tourism and the assaults in false paranormal hunting, they will also be issued to pay for what they have done. We have their faces and know they're names and FutureTech will handle in finding them all, furthermore the company known as FutureTech will be holding the line and providing plenty of resources to ensure this never happens again."
"The United States government will be having a meeting with the FutureTech leading man to build new laws and setup outposts to make sure no other acts of crime could even repeat in the far future, case dismissed!" The judge huts his gabble one last time and many of the people cheer for this.
Gyro and Hollow chuckle and high five each other, and everyone in Royal Woods cheers for the victory of Lincoln, Luna, and Harriet and to their town. This will end the false and corrupt tourism with a new system.
Lincoln looks to Luna and they both embrace. "Things are gonna be different now, right mom?"
Luna nods and she kisses his forehead. "Yeah, they will be and I promise it'll all be okay when tomorrow hits."
Everyone continues cheering, as a massive air force is now coming out of portals from the sky, and when I mean massive, I'm talking about more than 2,000 newly built aircraft and some of them look like they're born for space travel.
A man in a tech suit flies by, named Tech Sector, also known as the FutureTech CEO: Martin McKenzie!
A/N: The trial is done and justice has been served, a new company has arrived and is making itself known to make sure this madness does not happen again, and we're close to having a major meet up between Lincoln, Luna and they're heroic counterparts. Leave a review and tell me what you all think.
