Family of Two.
Chapter 82: First of November.
(The Loud House.)
Lincoln opens his eyes and he looks around, he then sees he's back in his room and he's still in his costume and he just shrugs this off and continues to lay his head onto this soft blue colored pillow.
Lincoln then opens his eyes again and he realizes something. 'Wait. I don't have a blue pillow, my pillow is white.' Lincoln then looks to his pillow and goes wide eyed and at what he was laying down and he also sees who he is laying on.
Luna, his mom is sleeping on the beanbag chair and still in her Killer Frost costume and she has Lincoln sitting on her lap and that's how he got to this whole thing.
Lincoln is a bit freaked out that he was laying on his mom's chest, but then he recalls what had happened and how they got here.
Recall.
They had dealt with the three teenagers who tried to attack Luna and Sam and also attack the kids.
The police arrive and arrest the teenage boys and they get information on who they are and where they come from, all thanks to the FutureTech base outside of town.
They were called the Carson Brothers: Roderick, Jerry and Chester and they were there to be for their sisters Halloween party at Fairway, but they got bored and bailed out and went to Royal Woods.
They called the parents who were at the party with their daughter Angel and they're son Edison who didn't wanna be part of the party and wanted to go with his brothers
Jessica got pissed off by her brothers, and Luna and Lincoln recall her from Dairyland and they know she had nothing to do with this, she seems too nice and reminds them of Lori. They apologize to Luna and the others for what they did.
Luna, Sam, Lincoln and the other kids decide to let this be. Just as long as those boys get punished for what they did, but technically the boys tried to commit assault and this means juvie, that or they will have to take in community service for the next 8 months.
Lincoln recalls that one of those brothers woke up and tried to go after them as revenge, but this resulted in Luna beating the living shit out of him. Now Chester Carson will be sent to juvie back at his home of Tuscola.
They then head back home, but Jessica does give them her number if they wanna talk about some stuff and also put this whole thing behind them and if there's anything she can do to make up for what had happened. The parents did wanna pay them for what they're boys have done, but like Lincoln and Luna and the others say, they just want those boys to be sent away far from Royal Woods for a long, long time.
One of the boys, Edison Carson had a scornful look towards Lincoln before he left, and this made Lincoln worried that things might not go well and that he might encounter this boy again.
End Recall.
Lincoln recalls and sighs. 'That night was dangerous and we almost got hut, at least we held our own and stopped them.' Then he recalls when one of those boys tackled his mom and had a sick and twisted smile.
Lincoln was filled with so much rage when that happened. 'No one touches my mom! No one but Sam and me when I need a hug!'
Just then he can feel his mom stir in her sleep and then she opens her eyes and looks to her son and smiles. "Morning kiddo, looks like you slept well." Luna then looks to herself. "Huh, and we're still in our costumes too. Well, I'm gonna need some time to clean up."
Lincoln smiles. "Let me help you mom. I'm comfortable helping you clean this up, and we can start with your hair which was dyed blue."
Luna smirks and she kisses his cheek. "Ever the best at tryin' to help out. Alright kiddo, let's get changed and started for the day, also Happy November little buddy."
Lincoln hugs Luna. "And the same to you, good morning mom."
(Later.)
Lincoln and Luna are now in the living room and are eating breakfast alongside Michelle Lewis and they're all watching something on TV, and then the show they're watching is being interrupted by some breaking news.
"We're live here in Beaverton, where conman Flip has escaped from police custody as he was being transported to a new prison outside of Michigan and he has commandeered the prison bus, alongside ten other convicts and police are hot on they're tail."
"We believe that the suspect might be making his way to Royal Woods along with these criminals who happen to be conmen who were all sentenced to prison after many failed fake tourist attempts. But they do not know what lies in store for them as they head into Royal Woods."
Everyone in town is watching the news, on their phones or on the TV and they all witness as the former owner of Flip's continues to maneuver past the Beaverton cops to get to Royal Woods. But what are his intentions?
They soon see Flip has left the county line of Beaverton and is now making his way down the long road towards Royal Woods, but as he nears the town, the trees nearby break out of stealth and fire spectrum blasts onto the prison bus and the engine explodes and the bus crashes onto a large tank with dual guns.
The men try to make a run for it, but Attack Dogs go in and take them down, Flip knocks away one of the dogs, but then he gets tackled and bitten by a War Bear. Oh god!
Lincoln and Luna sigh in relief from seeing this. "Way too close."
Michelle on the other hand is confused. "I don't get it, do you guys know him?"
(Midday.)
Michelle Lewis has left for work and Great Grandma Harriet is in the living room going through a book she's reading called. "Twilight" she wishes she could cry, but she can't feel like cryin and just reads and then thinks. 'Lucy and the Young Morticians Club have to know about this.'
Upstairs, Lincoln is playing Overwatch. He soon stops playing after the third win and he sends a message saying "Good game" to his teammates: Artie, Lance, Trent, Clyde and Zach.
Lincoln then turns off his computer and he goes over to his phone and sees a notification from someone. "Huh, it's Carol. What's this one about?"
Lincoln then sees that Carol has posted a selfie. The selfie is Carol lying on her couch and she's winking to the camera and the words posted are. "First Selfie!"
Lincoln chuckles. "Boy, if Lori were still here she might turn this into some kind of competition, maybe I should ask Carol if she wants to come and visit Lori too. We're gonna need a date for when we do go and see Lori."
Lincoln then walks out of the bedroom and he goes over to the bathroom to do his business.
(Minutes later.)
Lincoln comes back out and he then sees on his phone a message from Clyde. "Lincoln, check out the news now! You might like what it's all about."
Lincoln then checks on the local news of Royal Woods. Which is the news blog of Katherine Mulligan for her workplace and it's also shared by her niece Jenny.
"Breaking news: Tall Timbers Creek was scheduled to be bulldozed for construction of the new mustard factory, but it has been canceled due to the lake having an endangered species of fish known as, Lake Sturgeon and who do we have to thank for this? Lisa Helmandollar who happened to be at the place with her family. Royal Woods now has a rare and endangered wildlife and an animal expert is coming to see this, and all the way from Great Lake City."
Lincoln smirks. "Well, looks like Sid Chang might be inbound." Lincoln then checks the other news.
"Hank and Hawk, the two boys from Hazeltucky have been found nearly killing themselves and saying that they still see the stranger who attacked them from Halloween night. The authorities have no choice, but to send these two demented hooligans to the nearest mental hospital. Though, it is still unknown to who was responsible for bringing harm to the former football players who almost brought ruin to our town. We may feel like thanking whoever it was, but we're also now cautious."
Lincoln recalls that news. "So, Hank and Hawk were planning on coming to ruin everyone's Halloween, but instead we met some horrible teenagers." He then checks the last news, and this one is from Jenny "Brownie" Mulligan.
"To the fans of Ace Savvy be prepared! On November 21, the Ace Savvy convention comes to our town. Grab whatever gear and fan material you guys have on Ace Savvy and get ready to deal some justice!"
Lincoln smiles seeing this. "So, that's what Clyde wanted to for me to know." Lincoln then heads down the stairs and he sees Great Grandma Harriet. "Hey Great Grandma Harriet, I'm gonna be in the backyard."
"I'll be here." She continues to read the book and feel touched by the moments of romance and also the many things about the characters.
This confused Lincoln and he heads to the backyard. He sees that the hammock is still there and so he sits down and then lays down, he watches as the leaves on the trees are now orange, yellow and red.
Lincoln then recalls things that they could do for this month. 'Let's see, Jordan's birthday is coming up and I have to go and get her a gift that would truly show how much we've come this far in the last few months with the relationship.'
'There's the Big Ace Savvy convention and this one is gonna be big, and chances Bill Buck is gonna be there to talk to me about the comic that's been released.' Lincoln looks to the comic in his hand and he smiles at what has now been published two weeks ago.
In his hand is the comic. "Ace Savvy and the Night Club" Lincoln smirks, and then he goes back to thinking of what to do for the month.
'We have to go and visit Leni and this time we're bringing Lucy along, same with Jackie and Mandee. If they don't have any plans, and possibly Fiona and Miguel since they are Leni's old friends, unless Mrs. Carmichael gives them a day off.'
'Then we go and visit Lori, as usual and again we bring along Lucy and then I have to ask Carol if she wants to go and see her and try and fix the issues that could be some false rivalry they have.'
Lincoln then realizes something else. 'Luan….. Mom and I have agreed to go and see her, but….. When do we go and see Luan? Should we bring Lucy with us? Maggie does wanna go too, and I don't know what will happen when we do go and see her, will she still be the same mentally prank minded Luan, or has she changed?'
Then he recalls another thing. 'Thanksgiving? Oh god. How could I forget? This is gonna be our first ever Thanksgiving and not as a big family anymore.' Lincoln thinks about how this could work for himself and his mom. 'How do I make this work? What do I tell mom?'
Just then the backyard door opens and coming out is Luna and she's on her phone. "No, I am not available for tonight. Well, I'm sorry Mr. and Mrs. Fox, but I am a mom now and sure as heck I am not gonna be babysitting those quintuplets you got and I am not gonna have them come to my home." She then hangs up and she lays onto the hammock next to her son and she looks a bit stressed.
"Mom, everything okay? How was practice with Sam?" asked Lincoln.
Luna sighs. "The whole gig is gonna be this week around Friday and we got it all wrapped up, I'm just kinda stressed out by the calls from the folks I used to babysit. I mean, I'm a mom now and I don't have time to go over and watch over they're kids, when I have a kid of my own to take care of."
"Also, I am not gonna be babysitting those monsters known as "The Fox Quintuplets" those kids are monsters and surely bad to the bone."
Luna then pulls her kid close to her. "Well, at least I can calm down now that I dealt with all those calls."
Lincoln then snuggles close and he tells her something. "The Ace Savvy convention is coming up."
"I know" replied Luna. "A notification from a gal pal of ours, Becky. She said that it's gonna be big and might showcase the comic book issue that everyone loves, the one you made."
Lincoln chuckles. "Yeah. I never knew it would go this far and Clyde said that there's gonna be something big and special at this convention and I don't know what it is. Chances it could be Bill Buck."
Luna smirks. "November 21, yeah we can go to the convention and I'm gonna come with ya as the sister of the detective."
Lincoln sits up and looks to his mom. "What? Really? Are you sure?"
Luna also sits up. "Of course I'm sure. There is no way I'm letting you and Clyde go there and get mobbed, you need me and I wanna keep you safe, and to do that I'm gonna need to play the role of the big sis of the Savviest Detective alive."
Lincoln then hugs Luna. "Thanks mom." Luna smiles and she hugs him back, then they lay back down and relax. Lincoln feels like he should tell her something else, but he decides not to. He doesn't wanna ruin this moment they're in.
Just then Michelle Lewis comes out of the house and she sits by the tree next to them. She looks kinda exhausted. "Dang. What a day!"
Luna and Lincoln are confused. "Michelle? Dude, why are you home early?" asked Luna.
Michelle sighs. "Well, Mrs. Carmichael along with Miguel and Fiona and myself were trying to figure out why the heck are all the scarves going missing and we kept a close eye on everything and we thought that it was one of Lincoln's classmates, then we thought it was Scoots, then we thought it was the guy who works at Burpin Burger and then we thought it was Jackie and Mandee, but those scarves they wore were made by their grandparents and they looked so fabulous…."
"Michelle, focus" said Lincoln.
"Right, right. Anyway, we were close to giving up on finding the scarves, but then I saw a scarf go missing and so I followed the sound of small footsteps and then I called the others and we went to the back of the store and we found our culprit, Mrs. Carmichael's son, Tucker. She brought her son with her and then he started playing superhero and used the scarves as capes for his secret lair and so the case was solved."
"Then it got worse when the mall had to be closed when the pet store animals broke free and the cops did their best to calm everyone down. I had to help out and it worked. My day has been difficult. Also, this restaurant called "Something Fishy" just got sold and now a new pizza place is gonna open there."
Lincoln and Luna had no clue what to say about what she just said. So they all relax and enjoy this mid-day moment.
Lincoln snuggles close to Luna and he closes his eyes and takes in the peaceful ambience. Luna smiles and she hugs her son and she too closes her eyes to enjoy this soothing and calm moment.
Then Michelle asks. "So, when do we visit Leni, Lori and Luan?"
They have a lot to talk about.

Another chapter on how each of the louds are handling they're lives far from Royal Woods.
Flip might come back to take revenge along with the conmen who were part of the fake tourism agencies.
Carson brothers coming back, maybe one comes to take revenge.
Thanksgiving.
