Family of Two.
Chapter 87: No stalling here.
(Nighttime. The Loud House.)
Lincoln and Luna come down from the stairs and are dressed for the night, they then see Michelle and Harriet along with Lucy and also Haiku, and they're watching the Twilight Saga with tons of popcorn. "Are you guys okay there?" asked Luna.
They don't look to them and just watch the film. "Yeah, yeah. We are" said Michelle.
"Do not forget to eat dinner after what you guys do at the school, and keep an eye out for trouble, and take care" replied Great Grandma Harriet as they all continue to watch the film.
Lincoln and Luna look to each other and then to the group watching and then they walk out of the house, a bit confused at what they just witnessed and heard from them.
"So, that happened right?" asked Lincoln.
"Yeah, let's not bother them with what they're watching and head onto the school" said Luna. "I wanna get there before I become the last one on the list to talk to Mrs. Johnson."
They both get into the car and they begin to drive off. Lincoln looks out the window to the street lights that are now on and then he asks Luna. "So, we're gonna go and see Leni tomorrow mom?"
Luna sighs. "Yup, and that's the sole reason why Lucy is at the house. Having a sleepover so she can be able to go and see Leni when the daylight comes and we have to go and see her."
"A shame Jackie and Mandee can't come with us to see her" replied Lincoln. "What the heck are they doing tomorrow anyway?"
Luna then recalls what she knows. "Well, from what they told me and Sam earlier at school. Jackie said she had to meet up with a relative who's staying here until the end of Thanksgiving, and Mandee is helping her cousin and uncle and auntie move out of town, they're planning to reside in Beaverton but her relatives will still have thanksgiving here in Royal Woods."
"Huh, I guess those are some good reasons and I'm sure Leni will understand. At least Fiona and Miguel are gonna come along and check on their once top customer of Reiningers and also see how she's doing" replied Lincoln.
Lincoln then asks. "You think Leni will wanna know what's going on with Lori?"
Luna then makes a turn. "Chances she will. Leni cares for the family, even though they are apart and not related anymore. She might even ask when we go and see Lori and Luan, we're gonna have to tell her and chances she might wanna see Lori as well. Which is something we have to figure out."
Lincoln also knows this, then he thinks about a way for Leni to take part and see Lori. Lincoln then looks to the TV store nearby and sees the commercial of FutureTech and through this, he has an idea.
(Royal Woods Grade School.)
The Purple Ferrari of the loud family has arrived and they park nearby. Luna and Lincoln come out and they even see some vehicles from other families, they see the rides from the Rosato's, the McBride's and from Liam, which is a horse.
"Okay kiddo, time to go and sign up got the meeting" said Luna. They both head into the school and they walk down the halls.
"Well, this place seems a bit different when classes are in the day" replied Lincoln. He then sees something. "There's the list to sign the names."
Luna goes over and she sees which number they are in, and she signs in her name. "There, looks like I'll be talking to Mrs. Johnson on the tenth turn."
They then go to the nearest hallway and they see 9 parents waiting for their turn. "Looks like we got some familiar faces here" said Lincoln. He goes over to his friends and greets them. "Hey guys, nervous about this?"
Some of them answer yes and some of them answer no. They know they might've passed some subjects and also failed the others and are not looking forward to what the teacher has to say to their parents.
Then Sheryl comes along and announce to all of them. "Welcome ya'll. Now you parents stay here and mingle while you all wait for Mrs. Johnson, and as for you kids." She then has this whistle used for train stations. "Follow this party train to the cafeteria." she then makes some train sounds and heads off with the kids following her.
Lincoln looks to Luna and waves to her and she waves back to him and watches as her kid walks off with his friends to the lunch room.
Luna then sits down and she realizes. 'Oh boy. I'm the only teen mom and youngest mom here amongst other. Well, this is gonna be super awkward.'
Then she sees the parents of Zach go to her. "Hello Luna, my name is Curtis and this is my wife Jean. Now, we know that this FutureTech helped make the new changes to the town and possibly the country, but we wanna know if you know anything about them."
Jean Gurdle also speaks to Luna. "Do they have anything to do with aliens?"
Luna is confused by this and she backs away a bit and then she sees the father or Rusty go towards her with a rack of clothes. "Oh, Luna Loud. I was wondering if you're looking interested in some clothing that could change your style, such as polyester."
Luna chuckles nervously. "No thanks dude, I got my own sense of style with me and not much a fan on whatever you have for me."
Luna then meets someone she has seen before. "Hey there Loud, I'm Liam's memaw and I am dang proud at what you did in kicking those dorks out of town and bringing peace. You're as tough as a horse kicking down a rattlesnake to the bucket!"
Luna is confused at everything she just said and then she sees something. "What's with the goat?"
"Oh this little special lady? This here is Carol Anne, and she is due to having some babies, just as long as she doesn't eat anything spicy then we'll be in the clear. But if she starts eating something spicy, then we're gonna need to get ready for some birthing of some little kids!"
Luna is speechless and awkward out from this, then Rick and Jesse intervene. "Come on everyone. Let's leave her be and just go by our own business. She's here as we are and let's just leave that be" said Rick.
The parents stay silent and decide not to engage with Luna, this is her first time in doing this. Luna sighs in relief and she looks to the Rosato parents. "Thanks dudes, I thought I'd be getting way too many questions like those dang tourist dorks."
"We weren't gonna let you take all the heat. We're all friends and we all stick together" replied Jesse. "So, planning to go and see Leni and Lori this month?"
They then begin to talk to each other about things they have planned, including the upcoming Royal Woods Astonishing Quest.
They don't know Harold and Howard are looking to Luna, they feel bad for the turn of events that did involve the court and the ghost show and everything that has happened. They wanna talk to Luna and make amends for what they did, but both of them don't wanna get onto anymore trouble. Otherwise the consequences will be far worse than community service.
(Cafeteria.)
Lincoln sits next to Jordan and they speak with their friends. "So, what the heck happened yesterday after you were made junior administrator of the school?"
Clyde chuckles nervously. "Well, kinda a shocker and something I did not see coming, and I had some doubts about taking up this role. But there is no way I was gonna let this turn away from me. I decided to go for it and still be good at baking and through this, Chloe and I can be able to fix the lunches for recess."
"That part is an awesome thing for everyone and for Clyde and myself, but after Clyde was given the role from Principal Huggins. Clyde nearly had a panic attack" replied Chloe.
This confuses them and worries Lincoln. "What do you mean, what happened?"
"Clyde brought me to his house and then he showed me his journal that involves taking note of each thing he has done for a long time since he began in kindergarten and he has taken down so many notes. It's like a museum or history of what he has done for so long" replied Chloe.
"But then I noticed something in my journal, that I did miss out on class and that got me worried and I needed to make sure that Huggins knew what I did and so I told him and would accept resigning from my rank as the junior administrator of the school" replied Clyde.
"Wow! Talk about taking it with stride there McBride" said Polly.
"But…. Turns out Huggins and Sheryl shared to Clyde and me something he forgot to recall. There was no class on that date and everyone was sent home due to an incident in the boys restroom, so technically he didn't miss a day of school and is still dubbed as the well present and not tardy student in Royal Woods Grade School" replied Chloe.
"After Huggins and Sheryl told me, I fainted" replied Clyde. "And then Chloe woke me up and I went back to the basic stuff the usual Junior Administrator does best and continue with the morning announcements."
All of them are shocked to hear this, but it also makes them feel sorta relieved to know. "Good for you bud" said Lincoln.
Then Rusty asks him. "So, what are we gonna have for lunch on Monday?"
Clyde chuckles. "Nice try Spokes, but I am not spoiling what we're gonna have on Monday for recess."
Just then, they see Rusty's dad come in with a rack of clothes. "Alright Rusty, time to go and I want you to focus on your math subject since you seem to be failing on that one."
This makes Rusty chuckle nervously as all of his friends look to him. Them Rusty asks. "So, how did it go with Mrs. Johnson and the clothes you offered her?"
Rusty's dad sighs. "I talked to her and then she told me that she doesn't like polyester, Rust."
This shocks Rusty. "What?! Why wouldn't she want a timeless material that doesn't shrink or wrinkle?"
They then walk out of the school and talk about the clothing and issues that Agnes Johnson has. The rest are confused by this and then they hear some screaming. Liam knows what it is. "I gotta go! I'm coming Carol Anne!"
Lincoln and the others did not like this, they can tell something is about to happen.
(Moments later.)
Liam comes back and in his arms are twin kids. "Hey ya'll, we got ourselves some new family in the farm and sure enough this is gonna make one heck of a party for the others when we get back home!"
They all go over and awe at the cute little goat babies. "They're so darling Liam!" said Tabby.
"Good job and give my congratulations to the mother goat who had them, though I am confused how this happened here in school" said Clyde.
"Well, the goat's name is Carol Anne and she must've found my spicy sandwich in my desk and ate it and through that she got the energy to have these two little darlings" replied Liam.
Stella chuckles. "Wow. Never knew that would happen to goats and…. Mom?" She sees her mom arrive and looking worried. "Mom, what the heck are you doing here? Where's dad?"
"Stella we have to go now. Mrs. Johnson said that we can have the meeting next time, we have to go to the hospital now. Your father was kicked by a very angry momma goat."
"Oh my!" Stella and her mom walk out of the cafeteria and they all look to Liam, the goat kids also look to Liam as well.
"I think my memaw and I owe Stella and her family an apology for this." Liam then walks out of the cafeteria and goes to check on Carol Anne.
Lincoln and the others are shocked from what has happened. "Well, that happened" replied Zach.
"So, you guys wanna talk about the Royal Woods Astonishing Quest?" asked Trent.
(Mrs. Johnson's Classroom.)
Luna walks into the classroom and she sees the teacher of Lincoln. "Hello Ms. Loud, do come in and take a seat" replied Mrs. Johnson.
Luna takes her seat. "Hi Mrs. Johnson. So, this is happening right now."
Mrs. Johnson nods. "First time, yeah I have seen this from most parents who moved into town with their kids, or back when I taught for fifth graders. But I know things will be easy to handle. Now, I wish to tell you that Lincoln is not a troublesome kid as he was before everything."
"Lincoln is a good student and has good grades as well and he always knows what to do when it comes to quizzes and big tests. He's as smart as Clyde, Chloe, Penelope and Jordan. He may have some issues though."
This worries Luna. "And what might that be?"
"Well, after incidents with Chandler, Boy Jordan and Andrew. He's been quite cautious and looking around as if something was gonna come for him, but I know he does this to be aware of any trouble inbound. Ever since those dang annoying tourists and ghost hunters, and it doesn't seem like such of a big deal with him being cautious and you know that too."
Luna nods. "Yeah, we're both on edge and trying to keep an eye out for anyone who tries to mess with the family we have and our home. I was also planning on talking to FutureTech about adding some new kind of security to keep this place and others safe should there be trouble inbound."
Mrs. Johnson smiles. "I understand and I know it's the right choice as well. Also, I wanna say how sorry I am for not being such a good teacher for him during the fifth grading. I should've let him speak what he wanted to say through the whole outcome with the going green project and also not naming that Polar Bear Cub after me."
"And the same goes with the incident with the school business and I should've helped them in giving Lincoln and Clyde another chance instead of bad girl advice and the one thing I am ashamed of, was not stopping the viral video that outcasted Lincoln."
"I thought that fifth grading video contest would be such a good idea for all the kids, but then I saw it was just making the kids bullies to the ones who posted what they made and this is why my reputation has gotten a sharp stab and I don't think I have time to teach here anymore."
Luna is confused. "I don't get it. What do you mean?"
Mrs. Johnson then looks to a folder she has. "This folder is a copy of the files I have and after the word of what I have done to fail in helping the kids during the fifth grade. I only have till the next graduation moment till I'm told to leave the school and the same goes for Coach Pokawski, and I also intend to move out when it's over as well. But before I do go, I just wanna say I am sorry for not doing better as a teacher to Lincoln and to the others."
Luna feels a bit bad for her. "Forgiveness and trust is not an easy task anymore Agnes, you know that and especially gaining the same thing from me after what I was told and known."
"You and Coach have a lot to talk about, and a long way to gain trust and forgiveness. But maybe one day you can earn mine, because I know Lincoln has some forgiveness and trust in you and Coach Pokawski. Try and regain what was lost and maybe you two can forgive yourselves before things can get out of hand."
Mrs. Johnson nods. "We will and thank you for talking to me Luna, I needed this and I hope I can earn that trust and forgives from you, soon"
(Later.)
Luna walks out of the classroom and she sees Lincoln and Jordan going towards him. "So, how did it go mom?" asked Lincoln.
"Went well and I am dang proud of what you've been doing kiddo." Luna hugs her son and he hugs her back. "Also, I think we need to celebrate this thing. Rick and Jesse finished before me."
"We decided to wait for you guys to know what Lincoln's been doing in classes and we're glad to know the kid whose dating our little girl is as good as our daughter" replied Rick.
Lincoln and Luna then depart from the hug. "Then what the heck are we waiting for? Let's go and celebrate!" said Lincoln. "Because we can't go back and celebrate at home and disturbed what the others are doing with a vampire film."
They had no clue what to say about that, and so they make their way out of the school.
Howard and Harold watch them leave and feel like going over and talk to Luna and Lincoln, but they know they can't. But perhaps they can get the chance to make amends to Lincoln, Luna and Great Grandma Harriet. The thought of talking to the ghost makes them feel scared.
Then Mrs. Johnson comes out and she looks to the list in her hands. "Alright, so next is….. The McBride's." Everyone looks to them with some upset looks. Even Mrs. Johnson is not pleased.
Harold and Howard then get up and walk to the teacher's classroom but then Mrs. Johnson speaks to them. "We're just gonna talk about Clyde and his grades, talk about the safety of my classroom and I will kick you two out of my classroom faster than I can kick my mother out of my own house, understood?"
Harold and Howard nod and they walk into the classroom and begin the meeting. They have a lot of people to make amends to and not just to Lincoln and Luna, chances it's to the whole dang town of Royal Woods.
