Chapter 94: Think to Rock.
(Bangers n' Mosh.)
Lincoln and Luna arrive to the restaurant and they see the sign outside saying that there is a private birthday party going on. "Sure is the best place for Sammy to have her B-Day" said Luna. She then looks to her son with concern. "Are you sure you can handle being here kiddo?"
Lincoln comes out with his gift ready. "I'm sure I can handle it, just as long as I don't go to the backstage and freak out if I see the same spot where it… It all happened."
Great Grandma Harriet phases through the door. "I'll be around to make sure nothing bad happens, we cannot take any risks of going someplace and think we'll be safe. Chances someone will come for any of you two and I will not let that happen again, also the Guardian Gyro said he's busy with something important, so we won't be able to see him around for quite a while."
"I'm sure we can handle things with the man gone" replied Michelle. She comes out of her car with her gift in hand, and she also has Luna's gift as well. "But if something does go wrong, then we'll make sure that we can handle it ourselves, or we might contact him when the whole thing becomes critical."
They all make their way inside, but Harriet can feel something is wrong and that someone is watching them and so she remains vigilant and waits for the assailant to come out, later.
She's not wrong, a black car is watching them and inside is a very familiar man who hates them for what has happened to his life. 'Just you wait. All of you will pay for ruining my life and career, especially you Michelle!'
(Inside.)
They all go in and see tons of teens that Luna knows (from the episode Friendzy.) Even Sully, Mazzy and Chunk are there and there are tons of food and the large dark chocolate cake made in the shape of a skyscraper with an electric guitar that looks like Sam's axe on top.
"Wow. So I guess Sam's cake is a symbol of how she has always wanted to be on top of the grandest stage of them all" replied Lincoln.
Michelle looks to the cake. "Kinda looks like the Empire States Building."
"That's because it is." Simon goes over and he hugs Lincoln. "Glad you guys came, Sam's inbound as well."
They then see Sam Sharp go to them, and her attire is different too. A light blue leather jacket with some black lightning streaks and a white skull on the back, knee ripped velvet jeans with a white belt that has a skull belt buckle, purple heeled boots and fingerless gloves and guitar pick earrings.
"Wow Sammy, now you look locked and loaded for a rockin' concert" replied Luna, she then gives Sam a quick kiss on the lips and a hug.
Sam blushes. "Thank you Lunes and so good to see you little kiddo." Sam hugs Lincoln and she kisses his forehead, which makes Lincoln laugh a bit and blush.
"Thanks Sam, we have gifts for you."
Sam takes the gifts. "Thanks guys and help yourselves to this rockin' 16th birthday of mine and I made sure that the volume won't go too far as to trigger Luna to her old self. I know it's not an easy thing to get over when rock n' roll is around, but this is the birthday party my parents wanted to make for me."
"We understand Sam and I'm gonna try everything I can to make sure the old Luna does not come out and feel that crazy sensation again" replied Luna. "Well, I'll give it my all to stop my urges."
"I fit does happen, then I'll be there to make sure both of us don't lose our cool" replied Lincoln as he holds his mom's hand.
Luna holds her son's hand and she kisses his forehead. This makes Sam a bit concerned, but she trusts that Lincoln and Luna will hold their own and won't end up like last time they were there at Bangers n' Mosh.
Michelle goes over and she interacts with Reginald and Amy Sharp, and Harriet hides somewhere so she can have a good view of the whole place to make sure nothing bad happens.
Meanwhile, Lincoln and Luna enjoy some of the cocktail shrimp in the area and Luna even sees some shepherd's pie as well. But Luna doesn't go for that, or even the bangers and mash. Then both louds see Sully and Mazzy go towards them.
"Hey Luna and Linc, glad you guys came, but we also are kinda worried about you guys being here" replied Mazzy.
"Guys, it's cool. I'll hold my own and I won't get the vibe of doing the whole rock n' roll thing again" replied Luna. "Just as long as my kid is with me, then every little thing is gonna be alright."
Sully rubs his arm nervously. "Yeah, well Mazzy and I are gonna be on stage to perform our version of the songs: The Game, King of King's, Thunderstruck and Highway to Hell. Which are all….. Rock n' Roll songs."
Luna is shocked, but she takes a deep breath and calms down. "Guys, I can handle this and I won't turn into the old Luna Loud and sure as hell I am not gonna make the same horrible mistake as last time. So you guys do what you guys want, I'll be with Lincoln and Sam."
Sully and Mazzy were still worried about this, but they trust that Luna can hold her own. "Okay Lunes." They then head off to the back of the stage to check on their gear.
Lincoln looks to his mom who is looking at everyone. He then holds her hand. "Mom, everything is gonna be fine."
Luna smiles at her son. "I know Lincoln, I know." They both then eat the food they got and talk to some old friends of Luna, some friends she knew who were in the whole rock n' roll thing.
But as she speaks to all of them, each one is okay and happy with the choice Luna has made to take a break from rock n' roll. But some of them ask when she'll be coming back. Some of them even ask if the Luna-Tics will be reunited to rock on once more, some of them miss her hard core musical ways and want to know if she needs some more members to join the band, but Luna ignored those questions and made sure that her son is not getting hurt in the middle of this party.
Luna can see more than a few 15 to 16 year old rocker kids who are wearing a few sharp clothing and Sam is also aware of this and also keeps a close eye on her guests and so does Harriet and the parents. They make sure Simon is not caught in this, but it seems too late for Simon.
Some of the gals find him adorable and ask him some questions on what are the things he likes, and they just find him chubby and cute. Something, Sam and Lincoln know. Simon really is Sam's chubby little baby bro.
(Later.)
Luna goes over and sits onto the booths nearby and she sighs, Lincoln and Sam follow her and sit on either side of Luna. "Mom, are you feeling alright?" asked Lincoln.
Luna sighs. "Yeah, just kinda rough and hard for me to handle with every single rocker teen here who wants to know when the band is coming back. I'm ignoring al they have to ask of me, and I am trying to make sure that they're convincing words of rocking and rolling doesn't make me feel the old vibes of Luna Loud. I swear some of these guys aren't respective of the choices I made."
Sam places a hand on her back to reassure her. "Luna, calm down. Maybe they just don't know what they're saying. You know how teens like them are, and it usually doesn't end well when they're words are in the wrong kinda ways. Just avoid them and enjoy the party, because there is no way to heck am I letting you or Lincoln lose your cool."
Luna smiles. "Thanks Sam." Just then the lights go out and the stage lights go on and they see Sully and Mazzy on stage and performing the songs form AC/DC. This makes everyone cheer and dance to the beat of the performance and Sam also enjoys it, but not too much.
Luna taps her foot and snaps her fingers, but she doesn't go around and enjoy the whole thing.
Lincoln can see just how hard and how well his mom is trying not to be the old Luna, he feels bad she isn't into the whole rock n' roll thing, but he knows it could make things worse for both of them and could drive his mom into one thing he fears the most: Teenage Rocker Rebellion.
Lincoln recalls back when they were one big family, Luna would sneak off to concerts and then come back late and at times she acts kinda rough into saying she went to the concert for a good reason and that results in her getting grounded.
Lincoln fears that if she does go back to this old way again, she might end up doing something she'll regret for the rest of her life, something that would mark as a huge mistake. But deep down, he knows his mom knows better and thinks before she even acts. She's grown up and she's not gonna be the same Luna Loud.
They make mistakes, but they can learn to avoid them in the future.
Luna notices her son's expressions. "Lincoln, are you okay there buddy?" This also gets Sam's attention and Michelle Lewis who was about to come over to them with some ice cream.
Lincoln sighs. "Sorry mom. But, I think you should get the band back together."
This shocks Sam and Luna. "What?"
"Mom, I know you and I know you can control whatever urges you have from being the old Luna who is rebellious and at times irresponsible. You know better and I know you can tackle and dodge the old ways. You're 16 now mom, and I know you can avoid the mistakes from what happened here months ago."
"I wanna watch you be happy, to be the Luna you loved to be, but a different kind of Luna" replied Lincoln.
Luna and Sam are shocked to hear him say this. Luna then places a hand onto her son's shoulder. "Linc, I made the choice. This choice was mines and I need time to think about it, and don't blame yourself. The band breaking apart was never ever your fault. Let me think about this whole thing, okay bud?"
Lincoln nods and he wipes away a tear and hugs her. "Okay mom, okay." Luna hugs her son and this makes Sam also join in the hug.
Great Grandma Harriet sees this and she smiles. 'Looks like things are going back to an old way, but with a whole new perspective.'
Luna, Lincoln and Sam depart from the hug and then Lincoln gets up and he holds Luna and Sam's hands and leads them to the front of the crowd and they rock on to the performance of Sully and Mazzy: The Two Teen band!
Luna and Sam dance to the beat of the songs and Lincoln also joins in and through this Lincoln brings his mom and Sam on stage and they all three of them perform a triple stage dive and crowd surf through everyone.
The feeling of this was making Luna happy, but deep down she is not the same Luna anymore. She now sees that her son is right, she can be the rockstar she knows and loves, without making any more mistakes.
Luna even sees how happy Sam and Lincoln are through this and this makes Luna think. 'Bring the band back together? Now that sounds like a mighty fine idea, thank you so much Lincoln.' She then jumps off the crowd surf along with Sam and Lincoln and they dance again to the beat of the whole rocking party.
Sully and Mazzy see this, and so does Chunk. They know this only means one thing, the Luna-Tics will soon be back and they know that things will still be different, but just as long as they get their band leader back in action and rock on with no issues on the way.
Sully and Mazzy learned that lesson months ago and sure as heck they don't wanna do it again.
Great Grandma Harriet comes out of the shadows and she uses her phone and goes somewhere that the loud rock and roll music cannot get involved. "Hello Merris, this is Harriet, listen. I think it's time we opened up the storage locker and brought back some instruments."
Luna then grabs her son and lets him ride on her shoulders as he yells out. "Rock and Roll!" And this makes everyone cheer. The Luna Loud is coming back, but not the same old Luna everyone knows.
This is a whole different kind of rock n' roll Luna Loud.
(Nighttime, the Loud House.)
Lincoln and Luna arrive home and they both go upstairs, the time is now past 10 and they are both a bit exhausted and both of them rest onto the large teddy bear bean bag chair.
Luna sits first and then Lincoln sits next to her. "Well, that was one awesome party and I hope Sam appreciates the gifts we got for her" said Lincoln.
Luna pulls her son close to her. "She will Linc, she will. Also, when you told me about bringing back the band, it kinda got me thinking. I think you're right. I think I should bring back the Luna-Tics, but just to see if I won't be the same Luna Loud as before."
Lincoln can see where this is going. "You have a plan?"
Luna nods. "If we do bring the band back together, we need to make sure we perform someplace that isn't Bangers n' Mosh, because I don't want a repeat at that place and we're gonna need to talk to Sully and Mazzy about this, to lay down some rules so we won't have the same mishap all over again."
"The band will be reunited, but with some rules and a new look into stuff. I don't wanna go back to the old Luna and I know I'm grown up to know that the old Luna isn't coming back for a long, long time. I wanna see how this all works and to see if I can still be the mom you need and at the same time be a rockin' person I knew and loved, the crazy rock and roll dream."
Hearing this makes Lincoln smile and he hugs Luna. "I know you can still be a rockin' kinda gal and be an awesome mom at the same time. I believe in you mom."
Luna hugs her son and she kisses his forehead. "Thanks kiddo, thank you. I love you so, so much Lincoln." She hugs him tighter and rocks him back and forth.
Lincoln snuggles close to his mom. "I love you too mom, always."
Both of them stay like this, till the two of them fall asleep. They look forward to what the day has for them tomorrow, when they meet up with Sam, Sully, Mazzy and Chunk to reunite the shattered band and become the Luna-Tics once more.
Great Grandma Harriet sees this and she smiles. 'They'll thank me for bringing back the instruments from the storage place. I'm sure that with this whole thing been made whole again, they can all be happy and I won't have to be upset at Sully and Mazzy anymore.'
As the ghost goes down the stairs, she sees Michelle put her jacket on again and she grabs her car keys. "Michelle, where are you going?"
"Sorry Harriet, got a call that some stuff at Reiningers storage for the sale tomorrow has gone missing or stolen. I contacted Mrs. Carmichael about this, and I told her I can handle checking the place. I'll be back soon." Michelle walks out the door and to her car and she drives off.
Harriet watches as Michelle drives off and is concerned. 'I don't like this, something is wrong.'
(Hours later, Reiningers.)
Michelle enters the back storage room and she turns on the lights and she looks around. She checks on all the clothes that are gonna be on sale tomorrow.
"Huh, everything seems fine here. Nothing gone and nothing stolen." Michelle then looks to her phone. "Who in the heck called me to come and see if the inventory was missing something?"
"I did!" Michelle turns around and is struck in the back of the head by one of the mannequins. She then looks up and someone grabs her by her hair and tosses her to some boxes.
Michelle gets up and she gets slapped away and then hit in the back of the head again by the same mannequin and she goes to the ground and looks around. "What? Who in the heck?"
Then someone kicks her in the stomach and then grabs her by the back of her jacket and tosses her to the wall where she hits her back and groans in pain. Then someone pins her to the wall and she is shocked to see who it is.
"Doug?!"
Yup, it's her former partner, Doug Rockwell. Dressed in a black sweater and pants and black shoes and he does not look happy.
"Hello Michelle. Long time no see!" He then grabs her by her hair again and he tosses her to the ground. Michelle sees her phone and she goes towards it to call for help, but then Doug steps on her hand making her cry in pain.
"Not so fast Lewis. You have no idea how painful it is for me to lose my career and everything I have worked hard on and all because you don't know how to shut your fucking mouth!" He then kicks her in the head.
Michelle is now dizzy and she looks up at her former partner. "W-Why?"
Doug chuckles. "Why? This is about revenge, and also because my partner wants to make sure the Family of Two come right into my clutches so I can send them off to where my friend is and he can handle them, himself!"
He then kicks her phone away, which is now ringing with the call coming from Mrs. Carmichael. "Anyway, time to make sure the plan goes on. Lights out, bitch!" He kicks her in th face again and everything turns black.
A/N: They'll get a call soon, a call on the whereabouts of Michelle Lewis. Which means the whole reuniting the band thing will have to wait. Leave a review and tell me what you all think.
