Chapter 102: After a crisis.
(Royal Woods Allied Outpost.)
The whole of Michigan is now being patrolled by a massive spacecraft known as: The Aegis Battlecruiser. Along with tons of military and air force, as they commence the hunt for any remaining thugs and conmen who worked alongside Flip.
The outpost is on high alert and are making sure everything has been deployed and lots of people and news crews are outside the outpost and asking to come in and see Lincoln, but the ones guarding make sure they don't come in.
"Wow! Look at this crowd, damn!" said Sergei.
"This shit turned bad real fast when that kid got beaten up" replied Leon. "That live video of what Flip did was the most heinous act anyone has ever seen."
They both look to the medical sector of the base and feel bad for the kid who took a beating of pain from the assault yesterday.
Lincoln and Luna sit together in the medical room of the building and she looks to all the injuries her son has sustained. Lincoln is awake and he's hurt pretty bad and he looks to his hands. Both hands have been bandaged up, which means he won't be able to do much with them.
He still has the black eye, the swollen part of his cheek is gone and all of his cuts have either been bandaged up or stitched up. But his right arm on the other hand, that one is in a cast since he was shot there.
The one who patched him up is Victor and Penny Polendina. "Well, you're gonna live, that's for sure. You took one heck of a beating. You need to try and take it easy on yourself, but you'll be up and back to your normal self before the 25 of November" replied Victor.
"The Vibranium-Adamantium alloy in the cast should help heal the arm faster, just don't use it too much and get some help when you need something, you're fingers and hands will be back in good condition too" replied Penny.
Lincoln doesn't respond, he just sighs and looks down with sadness and pain. Luna then looks to the two FutureTech associates. "Thank you, I'll make sure he gets some help after all of this and I'll keep an eye on him. You have my word."
Victor and Penny nod and they walk out of the room. Luna then looks to her son. "Lincoln, i….. I just." She then hugs her son, Lincoln is not shocked or stunned, but instead he does his best to hug her back and also shed some tears from this pain.
Lincoln can only do is cry his heart out. He was taken away, he was tortured by so much pain, he nearly lost Luna again and worst of all he nearly got killed by the conmen who wanted them dead.
Luna does her best to calm down her son, but she too sheds tears as well. She feels as if she failed to keep him safe, that she failed to make sure that no trouble would come to them and she failed to be the mother he needed the most. How can she keep her son safe, when she can't even take down some thugs who wanted them dead, or worse?
"Shh, it's okay now kiddo. We're fine now, no one will hurt us here. We're safe. I'm here for you, always." Both of them shed tears and stay in this embrace for as long as they need it.
"M-Mom, i….. Don't make m-me put it….. Put it on again!"
Luna is shocked at what he said, everything that happened, the pain and suffering he went through. It now comes together. 'The suit, the luck. Everything.' She sheds some tears, because she recalls the moment she nearly lost him months ago, on that horrible summer night at Bangers n' Mosh.
Luna begins to cry alongside her son. They are both hurt and they are both in need of comfort from the hell they went through.
But they don't know that they're being watched by the window and the ones seeing them are their friends, family and the heroes who helped them.
"So, this is the world we were told about and the louds who are what's left of the once proud and big glorious family huh?" asked Boomer.
Peter Sharp looks to him annoyed. "You don't shut up do ya?"
Sam Sharp looks to them. "So, we keep an eye on Lincoln and make sure he's fine, safe and that he's given comfort if he breaks down?"
"True" replied Commander Freezer Burn. "I've seen this and god damn it, I have faced this so many times. He's gonna have mental flashbacks that will give him tons of horrible mental breakdowns that'll truly mean he needs comfort from the one person who did her best to save him."
Luna Frost also sees this and feels bad for them. "Losing her kid, is horrible and she needs to comfort him as he needs to comfort her. He fears for his life to be taken away again and she fears in losing him again. We've been down that road and we know how to get through it."
"It's not an easy task, but they can manage if they stay in each other's comfort and do what they can to reassure each other that they're safe once again" said Leni Ivy.
"But, what about Therapy? Won't that work?" asked Albert.
"Sadly no, a situation like that is truly scarring and therapy won't do much but bring back a truck load, or train load of unwanted memories which could lead to some mental breakdowns and some dark tendencies" replied Martin McKenzie.
"The best answer for them is each other, the mother and son and to show the other that every little thing is gonna be alright" replied Sam Livewire.
"And with so much hell coming in soon, we gotta fortify this world and make sure this does not happen again!" said Neil. "Otherwise things will get worse than just simple conmen."
"We got tons of outposts all throughout the state of Michigan and we're soon inbound to send more throughout the world to make sure that FutureTech will keep the peace and put an end to whatever chaos and madness comes next" replied Jack Cyber.
Simon then looks to all of them. "I don't know what else to say, thank you for helping save Lincoln and Luna. Thanks for helping us get him back."
Seeing this kid, the 9 yer old Simon Sharp, makes Peter pass out on the chair. "Is something wrong with him?" asked Lucy.
"Yeah, the little guy reminds him of his kid" replied Gwen. "Because his last name is Sharp and he's the dad of Sam and Simon and it's complicated with the whole Simon issue."
"What do you mean?" asked Sam.
"Yeah, and we wanna know more about the stuff you guys had been through to get to becoming heroes" said Jordan Rosato. "I mean, my hero version is so cool and has a freaking dinosaur!"
Sam Livewire then explains to them what she and her dad has been through, then Lori Volcana and Luan Quinn tell Lucy and the others what happened to them and how they became heroes and the outcome of the No Such Luck for them.
But while they all talk, the two heroes look to the crying mother and son. Seeing this, was hurting Freezer Burn and Luna Frost and so they go into the room. Which gets everyone's attention.
"Leave them be, they need to talk to them and we need to give them some privacy." Jurr-Arctic Aurora uses her mask to close the windows so they won't see or hear what they're doing. "Now, where were we?"
Inside the room: Luna and Lincoln break away from the hug and they see the two people in the room as well. Luna Frost reverts back to her normal self as Luna A. Spellman and Freezer Burn turns off his mask and his jacket comes off and he's back to being Lincoln A. Spellman.
Seeing this shocks Lincoln, Luna then holds his hand to calm him down. "Easy kiddo, they're here to help. They won't hurt us, they helped me save you."
Lincoln looks towards them and the two heroes sit on the bed side. "Hey there other version of me, my name is Lincoln A. Spellman and I'm 13, and this is my sister Luna A. Spellman who is 17 and we were told about this world and what you guys have been through. But, to make things less confusing, call me Linx."
"You guys can either call me Frost or Lunes."
They agreed to this. "H-Hi, I'm Lincoln Loud, I'm 12 and this is my mom, Luna and she's 16."
Lunes smiles. "Nice to meet ya kid, and truth be told I kinda admire the life you guys have. It seems nice to have the baby bro you swore to keep safe, now the kid you thought he truly was."
"Yeah, did you ever have that thought or dream?" asked Luna.
Lunes chuckles. "From time to time. I mean, we both have the same thoughts. We both know each other well dude."
"Yeah." Then Luna asks. "Did you guys go through the whole….. Bad luck thing?" Hearing that was making Lincoln feel uneasy.
Linx then nods. "Yeah, we did and let's just say I had some help and a choice to a better life and now here I am, Commander Freezer Burn and my big sister/guardian, Luna Frost."
"Do you have any p-powers?" asked Lincoln.
"Well, sorta. I mean they're not full powers" replied Lincoln. "Lunes and I share the same blood after I was almost killed and now our blood is altered and no longer related to the old family, known as the louds."
Lunes then speaks. "My blood is of demon and ice DNA from the powers I got and he curse I turned into a gift and now it is a part of my baby bro's DNA and gave him what I got, and he has a long way to fully master these powers."
"Now, I know you may have heard of Star Wars and Lunes and I are kinda good using the force, since we have a master who teaches us. I have my own ranged weapon which is a blaster that can become pistils and then clawed gauntlets and then there's a hammer from Norse mythology that I can throw and cast lightning" replied Linx.
Lincoln and Luna were amazed by this. "Can you tell us more?" asked Lincoln.
Linx and Lunes were more welcome to tell them more about what they have been through and all the crazy adventures and near death and conflicts they had throughout their life together and then came the conclusion when they're DNA is no longer sibling related, but instead it seems to be mother and son related. Something Lincoln and Luna have also though should be within them as well.
"So, that's all of it" replied Lunes. "We went through bad times, became heroes, redeemed old friends and family and are now related with the blood we have, but not as siblings anymore."
"And that same thing is in you as well kid" replied Linx.
Lincoln is confused. "What do you mean?"
Luna looks to her son. "Lincoln, you lost a lot of blood and when they finished patching you up, you needed more in your system to keep you alive and when they found out your blood type, there were no others who have what you have."
"What is my b-blood type mom?" asked Lincoln.
Linx answers it. "O-negative, just like Lunes and I. You're mom had to give you a pint of her blood last night to keep you alive. The others who have your blood type is either Leni or Lily."
Lincoln is shocked to hear this, his mom gave him her blood, a pint of her blood so he can remain alive. "B-But, does that mean…. I mean related to Luna?"
"Well, yes and no" replied Linx.
"Yes because you two are louds and have been relates since, but her blood may indicate true blood bonded relations within each other and no, because….. Well, you get the idea" replied Lunes.
Lincoln looks to his mom and he hugs her and he sheds tears of joy. "Thank you. Thank you so, so much mom! Thank you!"
Luna smiles and she strokes his hair. "You're welcome son, I'd do anything to make sure you're alive, well and safe."
Lunes and Linx smile seeing this, it truly reminded them of themselves when they needed each other's comfort and when her blood was in his blood as well. The day Lune Frost saved her brother from blood lost, with her blood.
They then break from the hug and look towards the heroes. "So, what happens now?" asked Lincoln.
"You're gonna be cleared from the place soon, and we also did you a favor and got you your car back" replied Lunes. "FutureTech is gonna add some cool stuff to make it look better and more strong for when something tries to bring harm to the both of ya."
"We're also gonna send in forces to help reinforce you're house to make sure that place is well protected as well" replied Linx. "The whole of Royal Woods is gonna be on one hell of a change, after what happened."
"We understand, it's the right thing and we don't want our home to be ruined as well" replied Lincoln. "Thanks guys, this means a lot."
Then Luna looks to her hero version. "So, when do you guys have the big meeting to make the whole mother and son thing official?"
Lunes and Linx feel nervous about this, but then Linx has the courage to speak. "Tonight, when we go back to our world. We have to tell the others that we have made our choice and we have to speak to the rest of CPS and the State of law of the Country about this and maybe we can sort something out."
Lincoln smiles and he shakes hands with his hero version. "We know you guys can do it, heck that's how mom and I became a Family of Two, all it took was some talking, and some proof and reason why she should be my mom."
Luna chuckles. "It' true, oh it's damn true. I had to ask the two detectives if I wanted it to happen and so it did, and now here we are, but we know that things are gonna be hard and it seems this is one of them."
Lunes then places a hand onto her shoulder. "Keeping him safe is not an easy task, there will be tough challenges along the way and more bad things will come to make things worse. But just know this, you guys can fight on through and show them that you're strong and cannot be beaten so easily."
Linx speaks next. "And should you ever need help." He hands them a box, and inside are two FutureTech made Cellphones and a magnum pistol for Luna. "You'll know what to do."
Luna smiles and she looks to the two heroes. "Thank you. Thank you for helping us, thank you for coming to help me get my son back. Thank you so much."
Linx and Lunes smile. "No problem, it's what we do." Lunes then looks to her watch. "We should get going now."
This makes Lincoln confused. "You guys are leaving now? Really?"
"We have to, we have our job to do and we also need to talk to the others about the meeting we have to make happen and how we can handle this" replied Linx.
The two louds smile. "We understand, you guys have some obligations to manage and of course, we have ours. We hope you guys can make the whole mom and son thing happen" replied Luna.
"Yeah, and we know we'll meet again" replied Lincoln,
Lunes smiles. "Thanks and maybe one day, we can come back to this world and we can all hang out."
"Now that sounds like one rockin' idea dude" replied Luna. They then say they're goodbyes and the two louds watch as the hero versions of themselves take their leave.
"Wow. Those two were kinda cool and were pretty close too" replied Lincoln.
"Yeah, they are and I do hope they do become a mom and son, like us. So they can see where they're future holds and how they can deal with the issues of the life ahead of them" replied Luna.
"Just like us" replied Lincoln.
Luna smiles. "Yeah, just like us."
They then hug each other once more, then the rest of their friends and family come in to see how they're doing. They were all glad they were alive and well once more and Jordan told them Clyde is doing fine and Michelle Lewis tells them all of Royal Woods wants to know how they're doing.
Lincoln and Luna only know one thing of what that means, they're gonna be one heck of a talk to the whole town. But that doesn't matter, what matters right now is that they're okay and back together.
And that one day, they will see their hero versions again and perhaps they can try and learn some things from them, for whatever next trouble will come their way, to destroy their Family of Two.
A/N: They have to heal after what they went through and they will have to make sure that nothing else bad happens again, but that won't be possible and soon, one day they will meet the heroes again. Leave a review and tell me what you all think.
