Chapter 103: New changes and more to heal.
(The Loud House.)
The Purple Ferrari, well newly repaired custom made Purple Ferrari Italiano has arrived back to the house and the one driving of course, is the Auntie of Lincoln and Luna. Michelle Lewis. She opens the door for Lincoln and Luna.
"Welcome home guys." Michelle then let's them see the newly repaired home and they see, it kinda looks the same. "Now, I know what you guys are thinking. But in truth, so much has changed!"
Luna can see some new kind of surveillance. Next to the usual cameras they have, she can also see some robotic dragonflies at some locations of the house, from the windows to the front door. She recalls seein these things at the FutureTech outpost and what they do.
"Well, that does look convenient. What else is new?" asked Lincoln.
The door opens and Great Grandma Harriet comes out. "Tons of stuff are new, welcome back Lincoln and Luna." The spirit goes towards them and hugs them both. "Everyone is happy you're back, they would usually set up some party to celebrate you're return, but they decided not to and give you both the space you guys need."
"But Harriet here took the privilege of making some food for you guys" replied Michelle.
"She's not wrong, now come on. We cannot let the food go to waste." They all head into the house and see that some of the things in the house seem new, they see the same robotic dragonflies now in the house and at some doorways.
They see that the TV looks brand new and then they smell the sweet aroma of food and they both see the food that Great Grandma Harriet made.
Tamales, spaghetti and a chocolate cake with chocolate chips sprinkled. "Woah. You went all out on this and it seems enough for all of us" replied Luna.
"Indeed, this is our celebration, our small family celebration for the return of the mother and son of the house, who stood tall against the tides of trouble and chaos" replied Great Grandma Harriet.
They all go to the table and enjoy the food. Lincoln does notice something in their aquarium. "What the heck? When did we get new fish?" They see some new freshwater fish and some of them are colorful.
"Yeah, the hero counterparts took the privilege of getting some more fish to make the tank seem colorful. They did their best and found some fish to make things feel a bit better" replied Michelle.
They could see some of the fish are orange, and most are purple and this makes Lincoln and Luna happy. It made them feel like they're home got a bit bigger with some new and not so troublesome pets. Lincoln then asks Michelle. "So, are you going to work later?"
"Yeah, I have to" replied Michelle. "The last few days before they close Reiningers on Thursday, so I'm not gonna be working when thanksgiving begins and probably on Friday too."
"Okay, and we know we won't be going to school for a long while, probably next week that is" replied Luna. She then helps feed her son a Tamale. "Come on kiddo."
Lincoln feels a bit awkward about this. "Mom, I can feed myself." He's about to grab a tamale with his still good arm, but Luna stops him.
"No. I told the guys at FutureTech that I'd help you with some things you need, until you're all patched up and no longer need any assistance. Your hands won't be back to aid until tomorrow. So for today, I am gonna be helping feed ya and helping with whatever needs grabbing" replied Luna.
Lincoln knows he can't get out of this and she does this because she loves him, and he knows it might still hurt if he uses his hands and fingers. "Okay, okay. But I don't want you to keep doing things for me mom, I can handle some stuff all by myself."
Luna nods. "I know kiddo, I know." She then kisses his forehead and she helps feed him the food and then helps him with his drink. But instead she adds a straw for him to use.
"If you don't want Luna to feed you, we could blend the food into a drink" replied Great Grandma Harriet.
They all look to her confused, but Lincoln chuckles. "Great joke Great Grandma Harriet, very funny."
Harriet looks to her great grandson. "What joke? I was being serious. If you don't like to have your mom help feed you, we can blend your food into a smoothie so you can drink it."
They all stop what they're doing and the whole place is now silent. "Well, this just got awkward real fast" said Michelle Lewis. They all go back to enjoying the good food.
(Hours later.)
The house is now silent and feeling peaceful once more. Michelle Lewis has left for work and is planning on checking on any last minute sales that Mrs. Carmichael has come up with and an issue with the register, it's been acting up and they may need a new one.
Harriet has finished all the chores and now she's handling in folding the clothes. She then hears someone at the door. "Could that be Albert and Myrtle?"
She goes over to the door and she opens it to see not Albert and Myrtle, but someone else, someone she has no clue who.
A lady with tan skin and possibly around her late 30's. Wearing yellow earrings, white shirt, and blue coat, black shorts with buttons, stockings and gray boots.
The lady is shocked to see the spirit in front of her. "Well, hello. You must be the resident ghost of the house. My name is Katie Crest and I am here to see Luna Loud, is she home?"
"Great Grandma, who's at the….? You gotta be kidding me?" said Luna. She just came back from upstairs and with her is Lincoln and they both see the lady and Luna is pissed to see her.
"Hello Luna, it's good to see you again. You remember me right? Of course you do, now I know you said no about being part of next year's summer musical tour across the country. But I am making some changes, how would you like to go onto a concert with Mick Swagger and also, have you're band be part of it as well?" said Katie Crest.
Hearing this shocks Lincoln, Luna and Harriet. Luna is wide eyed and she feels like stars are about to form from her eyes, but she snaps out of it. She tries to think of some way to avoid this, but then she feels her son nudge at her.
"Mom, I know you plan to bring the band back together and I know you wanna go back to the time of Rock n' Roll, but with the motherly control of the Luna I know now, so take this opportunity and make the dream a reality. Because I want you to be happy."
Luna smiles hearing this and she hugs her son. Then Katie Crest speaks. "Your kid is saying mighty wise words, best take his advice."
But Luna did not like what that lady is saying. She departs from the hug and looks to the woman sternly. "Let me talk to my band, once I get the band back together, then I have to talk to them and when we finish our meeting, then I'll call you on our decision and we're also gonna need the actual confirmation from Mich Swagger himself."
Katie nods. "Of course, I'll be sure to inform him soon. In the meantime, I'll be waiting for the call. See you soon Ms. Loud." She then walks back to her car and she drives off.
The others watch her drive away and even Mr. Grouse. "Heh, looks like the loud side of the house is coming back. Glad I won't be here for the next few days." Mr. Grouse then goes into the taxi he called and he packs all of his stuff inside and he drives off to go and meet with his family for Thanksgiving soon.
Luna closes the door and sighs. "Well, that's one obstacle to deal with." But then she sees the upset look from Lincoln. "What's wrong kiddo?" She places both of her hands on his shoulders and checks on him.
"Mom, you seemed really angry at what you told her. Did I make a mistake telling you to go on with the dream you wanted? Is this the same mistake I made the last time?" asked Lincoln. He wipes away some of his tears.
Harrier sees this and knows this is bad, and so she phases away from them to let them talk it out. Luna now sees he's getting bad vibes from old and painful memories. "No Lincoln, no. I was planning to reunite the bad after what we went through and this isn't a mistake."
"You wanted to make me happy and I wanna see where the future leads for the both of us and I want our future to be as exciting and also safe. I'm not mad at you kiddo, I just don't trust that lady and her words. I don't even know if she's telling the truth either, but I will have to speak about this with the rest of the band. Then everything can be sorted out."
Luna wipes away his tears and hugs him. "Don't go beating yourself kiddo, none of this is your fault. You just wanna make me happy and I understand and appreciate it." She then feels her son wrap his arms around her waist and hug her back, she then kisses his forehead and does her best to calm him down.
Lincoln silence only means the memories are back, and it all started with the bad luck all the way to where they are now. Luna then picks up Lincoln and they both stay in this embrace on the couch.
Luna can see that the heroes were right, scarring memories will always linger within the thoughts of people and that they are not easy to get over. They can remain hidden, but it takes something to trigger to get the whole person to feel pain and misery of what they experienced.
(Later.)
Lincoln and Luna are in the backyard and both of them are on the hammock and look to the sky. They both moved out here to get some fresh air and some good peace, they don't even know Grouse isn't even at the other house.
Lincoln then asks. "Mom, are we changing the plans to go see Luan?"
Luna strokes her son's hair. "Yeah, we're gonna go and see her on Sunday next week. We can't go anytime soon till we know we're ready for what happens next and what happens next is checking on your body's condition and then making our way to Thanksgiving."
Then Lincoln gets a notification from his friends. "Mom, it's from Jordan and Sam and some of my pals."
"Really? Let's see what they have to say." Luna and Lincoln look to the text messages.
Jordan – Lincoln, you got first place and tied with me and Clyde. Clyde isn't here yet and is still at home being tended to by his dads! You made the pass, you're grade is as good as the one I have and same with Clyde. Also, there wasn't much class today since everyone is worried about you and they didn't seem much interested in classes and wanted to know how you've been doing. I'll be at your place soon.
Sam – Congrats Lunes! You made the grade, well third place on the grade next to me, we're tied at third and Sully and Mazzy are fourth and as usual, Carol is at number one tied with some other smart kids. At least you got a better grade than last school year, I'll be there at the house to check on you and the little dude. Also, Carol crashed her car. She's fine, can't say much about the ride.
Clyde – Still at home and still not doing so well, my left leg is still in a cast and we might be having thanksgiving at my place, so there's gonna be lots of McBride's coming here, I also got word that the top one tied from the score of the test is me, you and Jordan. Congrats bud! Also, I'm sorry that we went through that during the Ace Savvy convention, I didn't think anything bad would happen and yet something did happen and you got hurt. I'm so, so sorry Lincoln.
Trent – Hey dude, my parents are now involved in this year's Royal Woods Ultimate Extreme Ninja challenge. Yeah, I was joking about it and for some stupid reason they're taking it seriously. This is so weird, also congrats on the score man and were all hoping you'd get well soon.
Jordan – This is a late message for you and you're mom. My mom has bought the restaurant known as "Something Fishy Restaurant" It opened today! She and dad were the ones who bought it and I didn't even know about it! This is so mind blowing and she's putting all of her cooking skills to good use, alongside some other ladies and guys who have good cooking skills! When you get healed up, you have got to come and see this place!
Lincoln and Luna have no clue what to make of some of this news. "Well, that happened. At least we both passed with good scores. Now we can relax and feel happy that we made the pass" said Luna.
"I feel bad for Clyde though, this wasn't his fault. We never saw this coming" replied Lincoln.
"When the time is right, then we can talk to Clyde and confirm to him that none of this was his fault" replied Luna. "We should just relax and wait here for Jordan and Sam to show up. Also, I have no clue what the heck is this Ninja contest thing."
Lincoln then recalls. "So, when are we gonna see the restaurant Jordan's mom owns?"
Luna thinks about it, then she has an idea. "Linc, I think I know what we're gonna do for Thanksgiving soon."
Lincoln goes wide eyed and looks to Luna. "No way! No freaking way!"
Harriet appears out of nowhere. "What is no way?" This startles them. "Sorry, but I needed to inform you two that this arrived for Luna." She hands her the box.
Lincoln and Luna sit up and they see the box and the logo of FutureTech. "What the heck is this?" Luna then opens it and she's shocked to what she sees. It's a pistol and a revolver. Two weapons.
She sees that instructions and the note:
"Dear Luna Loud, this is Martin McKenzie of FutureTech. Commander Freezer Burn has informed me to give you one of our new weapons to keep you and you're son safe. This is the FutureTech MFT2020-MK1 Stun shot magnum. This gun can do some serious damage to anyone with the might of the shock bullets and other variant bullets."
"It is also capable of becoming a melee weapon with one of the buttons at the side of the handle and it can have a scope mount to make shots feel more focused and the magazine can be able to hold up to 20 bullets and as for the bullets, each one is a different kind of round: Incendiary, Cryo, Armor Piercing, Concrete piercing, High explosive, sleep, shock, itching and time lapse. Warning: Use the Time lapse rounds for emergencies only!"
"The other weapon is something from another world that we had to ask permission for. The revolver is called; The Peacekeeper revolver, it can hold six rounds per clip and can be reloaded fast as a normal gun with a magazine and that gun is the one with deadly rounds. Use this for when you need a backup weapon, this thing also has an enhancement to the ones using it. The gun will provide a sort of boost in speed and combat evasion."
"We here at FutureTech wish that you both can be safe and use these weapons wisely. We wish we can give something for your kid to defend himself, but we don't think he's ready for a power housed weapon such as these. We'll be in touch and the Commander and first-Lieutenant will meet you guys soon."
Luna puts the note down and she looks to the two guns. "Woah mom. Those guns look so cool."
Luna looks to the revolver and she sees the ammo is in a revolver shaped magazine, which means she won't need to reload one bullet at a time. "Well, this looks wicked awesome."
Then she sees the FutureTech pistol. "What the heck is a cryo bullet?"
"I recall from what my friends heard on TV, Cryo is a form of flash freezing and almost as fast as Liquid nitrogen" replied Lincoln. "And I think it's the one you're hero counterpart has as powers."
Luna looks to all the bullets. "This is cool and I have to only use these when the time is needed."
Luna puts the guns back and keeps them safe and she even sees a license for carrying a firearms. "Convenient too." She folds it up and she keeps it in her wallet. "Will need to make a copy of this later." She then goes back to relaxing onto the hammock with her son.
Harriet picks up the box and she brings it back into the house and into the room of Lincoln and Luna.
"So, that happened" replied Lincoln. "Didn't think the day would come when we have to put the tasers away and stick to something more deadly. But it is meant to keep us safe and I know I'm not ready for something like that."
Luna smiles and she pulls her son close to her. "It's gonna be fine now Lincoln. No one is gonna make any harm and no one is gonna mess with our family. I promise you that." She kisses her son's forehead and both of them enjoy this calm and peaceful moment together.
But both of them have the same question. 'Will we meet those heroes again?'
