Things are about to turn bad shit real fast with their visit to see the former clown of the evil Pranksmageddon. Let's see how this goes and hope they won't get too hurt when meeting with Luan, but after reading the previous chapter, things might not go too well and might end up into something far worse than the normal pranks she does. Chapter 107: The joker is insane.
(Somewhere in Marquette.)
Two cars drive through into the town and both vehicles are Ferrari's, one is red with Michelle Lewis driving and with her are Maggie and Lucy and the others is Luna driving with her son, Lincoln riding beside her, alongside Jordan Rosato as well. Why the heck is she with them?
"Alright, so by the time we get there, we have to be on the eye out for anything that could be trouble and try to avoid it, got it guys?" asked Luna.
"We know what to do Ms. Loud, and we'll try our best to stay out of trouble" replied Jordan. "That place where Luan is, has more insane and odd people, so this could be hard to do."
Lincoln then asks. "Do you think Lori and Leni are okay with this mom?"
Luna sighs. "No clue kiddo, but they both wanna know how Luan is doing as well, and as of right now, we're the only ones who could be able to see through this issue that might have befallen onto our former sister. I don't even know how she's doing. We haven't gotten a single call from the place."
They then hear Michelle's voice on the radio. "There has to be a reason as to why we weren't called about her condition, but the real question is why they didn't bother to inform you guys after the whole court thing from summer."
Maggie. "Whatever the case, we have to be careful. Knowing Luan, she's unstable and unrelenting and might be crazy at the moment."
"We don't know that for sure" replied Lincoln. "She might be hurt inside or angry at herself. She always was the kinda person to try and make others happy, she would never go crazy."
Luna sighs. "She might. She has always been feared with her ability to create dreaded pranks that could literally spell pain and a new kinda phobia, she's always had the habit of not stopping till all have been pranked and to make sure she's been entertained."
Lincoln knows she's not wrong. Then he asks. "Mom, did Lori tell you anything after she found out that Bobby and Carol are dating?"
"No, she hasn't. Chances she might wanna talk to us soon, alongside Carol the next time we come to visit her" replied Luna. "Let's hope she's not too angry with her. I mean, after the Thanksgiving, she seemed calm and okay, but I think deep down she's hurt and truly saddened by the news."
"She must understand the situation here" replied Jordan. "Bobby was more hurt knowing Lori had become someone he never thought would've become."
Lincoln feels bad that things have gotten out of hand again, and now he fears for Carol the next time they go to see Lori, but right now they have to look forward to seeing the former comedian of the old family. 'Let's hope Luan is in a greater and less than demented mood than anyone.'
(Crotus Penn Mental Hospital, Marquette.)
They arrive to the asylum and look around the place. "Can you guys tell us again why Harriet couldn't join?" asked Jordan.
"She said she sent someone to come and keep us safe, someone she knows in the asylum and chances that someone or something could be a ghost" replied Lucy. "But we're not sure."
They all get out of the vehicles and they look to the large building and see the cross and image of Christ by the side of the building at the sign that says. "Crotus Penn Mental Hospital"
"So, you all ready for this?" asked Luna. They all felt unsure on how to reply to that. "Me neither dudes."
They all walk up the stairs and they open the doors to see the lobby is empty and there are some staff going around and talking about some of their patients, then some staff members come out of the elevator with someone who has been cleared of his issues and he signs the papers and thanks them and he walks out of the place as a new man, a man with no more mental issues.
"Well, seems welcoming enough" said Lincoln.
They then walk to the receptionists table. "Excuse me ma'am, we'd like to see Luan" said Luna.
The woman goes through the names, but someone else speaks. "I'll handle this Bertha." They all see the man in the lab coat and Luna recalls that one man is trying to handle the thoughts of the former sister. "Hello there everyone, my name is Dr. Reginald Himmler. I am the doctor in charge of Luan and her unstable condition."
He walks towards them. "I recalled the letter that you are planning to come and see her, but I did not expect this many folks to even dare to see the most demented and unstable person we have here in the asylum."
"It's a pleasure to meet you sir, we came here to see how Luan is doing and also hear from her words to know how she's been handling" replied Luna. "We know you're the doctor and all, but we wanna hear from Luan herself, please."
"Very well, follow me." They all follow the man and hop into one of the elevators and head to the fifth floor.
"So, how has Luan been doing?" asked Lucy.
"Well, from what I recall when she came here to the asylum. She has been mentally unstable and lost herself so many times. She's been keeping herself occupied by making small models of the old family, mostly Lincoln and Luna and has been asking for forgiveness and then laughing uncontrollably and beating the pillow and models with her bare fists, at times she has been trying to cut herself, but that only lasted in less than two days."
"After that she seemed calm and close for recovery, then she lost it again and became unstable. She began attacking some of the psychiatrists and therapists who have been trying to help them, heck even one of the therapists quitted and is planning to get a new job."
"This new and insane side of her is a part of her that has remain hidden and has been waiting to come out, a side of her we're calling the demented joker side and it is one side that is far worse than any kind of personality disorder that we have ever seen."
This did not sound well to them, and now Luna is fearing for the safety of the others. But she has something for that just in case.
"Anything else we should know doc?" asked Michelle.
"She has been given chances to interact and be nice to the patients, but she ended up hurting them and trying to setup pranks on them with whatever she can find. She can be able to improves and use whatever is around her as a weapon, but not for self-defense, more like prank related"
"Many of her deranged pranks have taken the lives of some staff members and patients, we had to place her into one of our solitary confinement chambers and we even came up with the idea of locking her inside of a room and rewatch all she has done harm to her family and to your son as well."
"But that may not have worked out as we thought and could have unleashed some form of demonic spirit lying within her. No clue what the hell is truly going on in her mind and the sedatives don't seem to be working much, she seems to wake up after ten minutes of deep sleep and lose herself once again."
"When this does happen, she switches her emotions and her personality to that of a scared teenage girl who's looking for her family, then back to the crazed prankster who craves nothing more than to hurt people with her pranks and laugh at their misery, at times she even yells the name of Lincoln and Luna and curses at the names."
Hearing those words were not making things feel better anymore and Lincoln holds his mom's hand and he scooches close to her, Luna notices this and she holds his hand and pulls him close.
Dr. Himmler sees this. "Sorry for informing you all about this, but I had to tell you about my patient and she seems to be my top priority, that I had to turn down two other patients and hand them over to some other doctors to handle them. Luan is a rare case and whatever happens, I will not stop till I sort out what the hell is wrong with her."
"Does she know about what has happened to Lincoln and Luna?" asked Maggie. "Has she seen and heard about what happened?"
Dr. Himmler sighs. "Sadly, yes and the results were not so pretty when she heard about the issues you two have been facing, she would rather laugh and mock as she hears it all. But then she breaks down crying and begs for the two of you to be safe. Her personality disorder is still in motion, but we need to find a way to make sure one takes over and that one should be the teenager who needs help and not the crazed lunatic."
They all feel bad for her, but also fear her. Luna is glad she brought something with her, just in case.
The elevator then makes it to the floor. "Are you all ready for this?" They all nod. "Good. I have to inform the staff about your arrival and the main room of the floor has been cleared of all patients."
The doors open and they walk out and see the main room where the patients all go around, interact and watch some TV. There's no one there, but they do see some heavily armored Peacekeepers, which means FutureTech is in this as well.
"Does FutureTech help maintain the place now doc?" asked Luna.
"Not fully, but then have given us some equipment and technology to help in the progress of the mentally unstable and insane and they have been doing quite well and for the past two weeks, we have cured more than 50, the one today is 53 and we're gonna have four more who will be ready to rejoin society" replied D. Himmler.
He then uses his walkie-talkie. "Bring out the joker, and be careful gentlemen."
"Excuse me?"
"And ladies, sorry."
They then see eight peacekeeper guards and they come down the halls and then more come and more. "We have to do this, to make sure she doesn't lash out and do something she'll regret. Yesterday, she almost got everyone with boiling hot water and I only had one way to stop her, to show her the letter that you two were coming."
This shocks Lincoln and Luna. "Hang on there, doc. You didn't tell her we were gonna come and visit?" asked Luna.
"I needed to be certain she wouldn't get worse" replied Dr. Himmler. "If I did tell her, then chances she would've lost her mind again and do more harsh things and more damage to herself, but I had to tell her yesterday do stop her from her hot water prank to everyone."
"And what happened after she saw the letter?" asked Lincoln.
"She lost it, yelling your names, crying and laughing. My theory was confirmed, she did lose herself when she read the letter" replied Dr. Himmler. "Here she comes."
They all see four guards and in the middle of them is Luan, cuffed and walking with a muzzle on her face to avoid her from doing things, such as biting. She's blind folded as she's walking but then she grins as she knows what's going on.
Some more guards place down a table and some chairs. They all take their seats and then Luan arrives and they place her on a chair at the other side of the table.
They all look to the condition Luan is in. Besides the handcuffs and the muzzle, she's wearing a white short sleeved shirt, long light blue pajama pants and yellow slippers and her hair is no longer in a ponytail and looks as messed up as Lola when she wakes up in the morning.
They then chain the handcuffs to the table and they remove her blindfold and she smiles as she looks to the two former siblings she knew and loved and she also sees Lucy, this woman she has no clue about along with the girl known as Girl Jordan and one of her friends in High School, the emo teen, Maggie.
"Hello everyone, you all look good today. Anything you all ate this morning? Pancakes? Waffles? Eggs and Bacon? Coffee?"
They all remain silent, Luna didn't like her tone and neither did Maggie and Michelle. Then Lincoln speaks up. "Hello Luan, are you feeling okay?"
Luna looks to Lincoln, she blinks and she sees different now. "Linc, I it's good to see you. I know things have been hard and it's gotten harder for me and I….. Am just so happy that you came! How about you and I have a laugh and watch as other people laugh it out too!" She then chuckles at her words.
They didn't like this and everyone is getting ready for whatever she plans to do.
Lucy speaks next. "Luan, we know it's been hard for you here and we're sorry that you have to go through this pain and not have anyone there to support you."
Luan looks to Lucy. "Yeah, it hasn't been so easy for me, I mean I have to go through some tests and school is not even an issue here because of my current state and I just….. Really love it when I get to do whatever the hell I want! This has been one heck of a doozy and I was hoping that one day I'd see the Duchess of darkness and I wondered, how does the vampire sing?"
The way she spoke was scaring Lucy and Maggie makes sure she's safe from Luan. "Luan, stop it. You're not making this any easier for us to talk to you."
"Oh, sorry" replied Luan. "It's just…. Nothing has been right with me lately, and I don't know how to even fix the issue I have inside my soul, heart and mind. The only I can do is… See the smile in myself and see how I can make all the better with my time here! You guys should've seen one of the patients, he was crying storm when I showed her a shadow puppet!" She then laughs at her own memory.
They can all see, that the doctor was right. "See what I mean? Personality disorder."
Michelle sternly asks. "Do you have any idea what's been happening to Lincoln and Luna lately? Any regrets and guilt after what they have been through?"
Luan then looks down and she recalls what she saw on TV and heard on the radio. "Yeah, I did hear about it. All of it." She then sheds some tears. "Guys, I'm sorry that I wasn't there to stop any of it, or even put an end to the pain Lincoln went through from summer."
"I deeply regret….. Not being the one who did all of it!" She then laughs manically. "Man! Whatever hell you guys went through would've been downright awesome to see! The con artists, the enemies coming at ya, the fake ghost hunters and everything else in between! I wanted to be part of it and heck I've been dreaming that I was the one who did it all!"
"I even heard about how Lori and Linc almost came close together in the hands of those inmates, I guess if I 'incest', then things would've been a whole lot more than just a family of two!" She then laughs at the thought of her own sick joke.
Lincoln covers his ears and closes his eyes. Luna comforts him and looks to Luan in anger.
"Boy, if I were to go back in time, then maybe I should prank Luna and keep Lincoln in the suit. He would've gone nuts and lost his acorns if he lingered longer and surely I'd let the girl in the braided ponytail be nutty with Lincoln as well. Two squirrels together, makes more good luck in the end, am I right?"
Lincoln covers his ears and sheds some tears. "Make it stop."
Luan sees this and smiles. "Stop? Stop?! It's never gonna stop Linc! The fun has just begun and this party is just getting started!" She then struggles from her cuffs and they all go over to stop her, but soon she breaks free and tries to go after Lincoln.
Luna is about to pull out her gun and same with Michelle. But then Luan is struck in the head by a chair and the one who did it, is Jordan Rosato who is seething with rage. "Freak!" She then goes on top of Luan and starts to repeatedly punch her.
"Do not talk that way to Lincoln and everyone else! Do you hear me?!" But every time she punches Luan, she just laughs and laughs. Almost like she has become DC comics Joker getting beaten up by the Batman.
Luna and Lincoln see this and they go over and pull Jordan away, then the guard's taze Luan and they take her away. Luan laughs as she's being taken back to her room. "You think this is over? This has just begun and then you'll both have to wait and see, because soon I'll be out of here and then I'll come for the both of you and everyone you've known and loved!"
The only thing left is the distant laughter of the crazed prankster, which us now gone.
Dr. Himmler goes to them. "Is everyone alright?"
Lincoln then let's go of Jordan and he begins to sob. Luna and Jordan and Lucy go over and comfort him. "Sh-She's gone…. Luan….. She's g-gone." They all feel bad for what Lincoln had to see and hear.
Luna then looks to the Doctor. "No chance she can be cured?"
Dr. Himmler sighs. "We're doing all we can to see what's wrong with Luan. But every time we do something she seems to get worse and worse. But this isn't our doing. She seems to be doing this to herself, we believe there might be a reason inside of her for doing this, but we don't know what."
Luna sighs and she looks to the others. "Come on guys, let's go home." Luna then watches as Jordan holds Lincoln's hand and they walk away with Michelle, Maggie and Lucy. Luna then looks to the doctor. "Keep me informed of Luan's progress, I wanna help fix this problem she has."
Dr. Himmler nods. "Of course. Perhaps the best way to know her issue, is to have a family member try and help solve this as well."
Luna nods and she walks towards the elevator with the others and they head back down to the lobby and back to their vehicles.
Dr. Himmler takes off his glasses and he cleans them. "Well, time to get back to work." He puts his glasses back on and he walks back to see how Luan is doing, but he fails to see that something ir watching them.
This something is not seen on the camera and is dressed as a nurse and has some sort of white cloth covering her whole face and is holding a bone saw in her right hand, what seems odd about her, is that she is hovering above the ground and she doesn't seem like she's even human.
Her name: Sally Smithson a.k.a The Nurse.
A close friend of Harriet and also an ally to the Guardian, Gyro.
The Nurse then disappears and follows the doctor, to check on the patient and see what she can do, to help her.
A/N: Luan has lost it and that was too close for comfort, and it seems that maybe this new being could help fix her issue, or scar her for what she has done. Who knows when they'll come back and see her again. Leave a review and tell me what you all think.
