Let's see how they're handling with the aftermath of encountering Luan, and also might get some talk time with two men who want to make amends with them for what had happened last month.
Family of Two.
Chapter 108: Getting over some pasts.
(The Loud House.)
Lincoln is in the living room and he goes through all the channels and then he stops and turns it off, he sighs and looks to the time on the clock, and it's almost past midday.
Then someone sits next to him, his mom Luna. "Hey there Linc, h-how're you feeling?"
Lincoln sighs. "I don't know any more mom. After what had happened yesterday, everything isn't as good as things used to be and I'm still kinda shaken. Also, I wanna apologize for freaking out last night."
Luna pulls her son close to her. "Linc, do not be sorry about that. You had a nightmare last night, and that's normal and I know what was you're nightmare about, because I kinda had the same thing too."
Lincoln looks to his mom and asks. "What did, Luan do to you?"
Luna sighs. "She stopped me, before the whole thing of my plan to save you and then she stuffed me into a squirrel suit, and then…. Then Luan killed you, and then sh-she killed me." Luna wipes away a tear and Lincoln hugs her.
Luna hugs him back and both of them shed some tears. "Linc, don't tell me yours. I know it'll hurt and I don't wanna feel hurt after hearing what you have to say, and I don't want you breaking down too."
"Seems like we're already doing just that mom." Lincoln continues to hug her and cry into her shirt. Both of them staying like this and trying their best to comfort each other after what they had both been through.
They don't know that Harriet is watching this and is not pleased, same with Michelle Lewis. They both go to the kitchen to talk about this. "So, now what the heck do we do? That crazed girl is still there in that mental hospital and she said she'd come after them and that scares me" replied Michelle.
"Do not worry Michelle. Luan will not be able to do such thing, not while a friend of mine is there to keep an eye on her. Truth be told that friend of mine is the friend of the Guardian Gyro, and she is based off of an actual person who died horribly" replied Harriet.
"You never told me, who is this friend of yours?" asked Michelle.
Harriet didn't seem to have a choice and so she tells her the story of Sally Smithson, also known as, The Nurse.
Back with the mother and son; the duo remain like this for a few minutes and soon short after they stop crying and look to each other. Luna wipes away his tears and she kisses his forehead. Lincoln does the same and kisses her cheek.
"Mom, what do we do if she does come back and come for us? She said she would and she might" said Lincoln.
Luna then hugs him once again. "That won't happen, and if it does, then she'll have to go through me first. Because sure as heck, I ain't gonna let Luan get to you and hurt you. She's not gonna hurt you, and that's a promise."
Lincoln didn't like hearing those words. Promises are not easy to keep and they end up backfiring into that person who proposed the promise. "M-Mom, should we tell Lori and Leni about her?"
Luna sighs. "Yeah, we should. They won't like it though, it'll hurt them to know that Luan has lost it and might also anger Lori into trying to stop her at what she might do. But as long as we stick together and keep cool, then chances the whole thing with Luan coming won't happen."
She then has an idea. "Hey, how about we go to the park? Maybe some fresh air and some good times could do good for the both of us and we can grab some lunch on the way too. How about, Burpin' Burger?"
Lincoln wipes away a tear and he smiles. "Y-Yeah, that does sound like a good idea. Let's do it mom." They both get up and begin to grab what they need.
Luna checks and she has her wallet and phone and then she grabs her jacket and she hands Lincoln his jacket and they both look for Michele and Great Grandma Harriet.
"Michelle, Harriet. We're gonna go out. You guys here?" asked Luna.
"We're in the kitchen, go on ahead and be safe and have fun" replied Michelle.
"Keep a close eye on Lincoln! Make sure you have your gun and taser and make sure to keep a close eye on everything around you!" replied Great Grandma Harriet.
Lincoln and Luna smile. "We're gonna be just fine guys" said Luna. She then looks to Lincoln. "Come on kiddo, let's head on out now." They then walk out the door and make their way to the purple Ferrari and drive off to the park, but first they have to go and get some lunch at the Burpin' Burger.
With them gone, Michelle looks to Harriet. "Alright, so tell me more about this Nurse. What world is she from? And, is she dangerous to anyone else who are friends of ours or from this Gyro person?"
Harriet had a lot to tell her, she knows things are gonna get spooky for her.
(Burpin' Burger drive-thru.)
Luna speaks to the guy whose manning the drive-thru and that guy is none other than Grant and she places down an order for two Big Belchers and some curly fries and drinks.
While this goes on, Lincoln notices a flier on the electric post and he reads what it says.
"This December 2, come and see Royal Woods very own racecar driver; Bobbie Fletcher as she announces a big promo for those who love the Burpin' Burger."
Lincoln then thinks about this. 'Bobbie Fletcher? Bobbie Fletcher? Why does that name sound so familiar? Where have I heard her from and why do I feel like I've seen her before from somewhere, or from someone?'
They Luna drives forward and she gets their order and she pays up, they then continue to drive off to the Royal Woods, Ketcham Park.
(Ketcham Park.)
Luna and Lincoln are now walking down the pathway of the park and looking around the place and how everyone is happy with the fun the place has to offer. "So, you feeling chill and fine now kiddo?" asked Luna.
"Not quite sure, sorry mom. I'm just still shaken after our encounter with Luan and all of her words were so hurtful and…. and they felt like she meant it. All of it, like she didn't want me to even live and wanted me to suffer, like one of her horrible pranks" replied Lincoln as he looks down in sadness.
Luna sighs. "How about we go over and talk about this someplace else little dude?" They go to the benches and they begin to eat their lunch.
"So, how's the burger doing ya kiddo?" asked Luna.
Lincoln smiles as he eats. "It's really good mom, this is actually helping me. Thanks for the idea of this for lunch mom."
Luna smiles. "Anytime kiddo, I know how much you love it and heck I love it too. Also, did you see the flier today at the Burpin' Burger?"
"Yeah, why does Bobbie Fletcher sound so familiar?" asked Lincoln. "Almost like, I know her from somewhere and like we have heard about her from someone. But who?"
"No clue little dude." Luna drinks her soda. "But whoever she is, she must be one iconic racecar driver for the town and chances there's gonna be tons of fans there to meet and greet with her and whatever promotion she's doing for the Burpin' Burger."
They both continue to eat, and then they see some folks they did not expect to see them. "Mom, mom. We got company and not the good kind either, I think."
When Lincoln said that, she knew what that meant. "Hello Howard. Hello Harold, what do you guys want?" she's not even turning around to talk to them.
Howard and Harold are both with some sticks and brown bags, they were picking up trash from the park as they're community service as well. "Luna, Lincoln. Can we talk?" asked Harold.
Lincoln and Luna recall what Clyde told them, and they wanna hear what they have to say with after what had happened with the tourists, the conmen and everything that has transpired from last month and earlier in the month. "Fine."
Harold and Howard go towards them and sit down as well. "So, what's there to talk about?" asked Luna as she drinks her soda and her son eats his curly fries.
Harold speaks first. "We just wanna say, we're sorry. Sorry for what we did, and sorry for what has gone down. We now see that our actions have brought so much damage and anger within the town that we live in and we came to say that we shouldn't be meddling with your lives, you were right Luna, Clyde was right and so was everyone else."
"We thought we were doing the right thing, but then we saw how much it turned from bad to worse and was messing with everyone's lives in town and making you and your son miserable and become targets for bad things to come" replied Howard. "We should've stayed out of it, but we let our better judgment with what we know is right get in the way and make things worse."
"We did a lot of hard thinking and perhaps Dr. Lopez was right, we have to tone down with our actions and leave people be with their own business" replied Harold. "We already got tons of cold shoulders from everyone we know and love and even Clyde was silent towards us for some time after the whole court thing."
"Lincoln, Luna. We want to make amends for our actions and we wanna try and make things right again. We're so sorry for what you two had to go through. We wanted to make things better for the both of you, but instead we dragged in trouble and made things harder and harder for the both of you and this Family of Two you both have" said Howard.
They both speak in unison. "We're so sorry guys."
Lincoln and Luna both feel bad for them. But they also feel slight resentment for the two and what they started, when they called ARGGH! And made things escalate from bad to worse.
"Guys, what happened was the most downright stupidest thing to have ever happened to us and to the whole town" replied Lincoln. "You two started it with the call to the worst ghost show ever and then they started going after the ghost we call family, the ghost you all see as evil."
"She's not evil. She never was, she's just a caring ghost who will go to any lengths to keep her family safe and that family is us and you two have been nothing but an annoyance ever since my kid got sick" replied Luna.
"You guys have been doing the same things that you do with Clyde and he can handle that, but to spread it to those who don't need it is just stupid and also rude" said Lincoln. "People know how to handle their own issues, they don't always need help from others."
Harold and Howard can see just how deeply ticked off Lincoln and Luna are, and they see that they have done so much damage to them.
Lincoln and Luna wanna keep on talking about everything they had to go through and where it all came from and how it started, but both of them did not wanna relive the pain and torture they had to endure and had to witness.
"Forgiveness and trust is not an easy task. This community service won't cut the cake either" replied Luna. "I'm sorry, but I don't know if we'll ever forgive you both or trust you guys."
"We don't hate the relationship you two share, we respect it since my mom has a love for another girl. The one thing that we hate from the two of you, is the constant meddling of rules, and safety stuff that are just annoying" replied Lincoln. "It….. It reminds us of…. Of them."
Howard and Harold gasp. They know what the two of them mean, the old and chaotic life and ways of the louds that they once called family. They can see they are right, and they do recall how chaotic it can be when it comes to Lincoln's sisters and those memories still haunt them.
"Lincoln, Luna. We're sorry that's what you think of us and we promise we won't meddle with your lives and leave you be. We can see that you both can handle things on your own and will ask for help when it's needed the most" said Harold.
"We understand that you two are not willing to forgive us yet and we'll take it as a punishment. We're just happy we could talk to you guys about this, and we'll do whatever we can to try and earn back the forgiveness and trust, of you let us" said Howard.
"If we let you" replied Luna. "For now, I think the both of you should think about everything you've done and see to it that this does not happen again and there's one person you haven't talked to, to say sorry, and chances she's not in the mood to see the both of you."
Harold and Howard know who she means and both of them are afraid to even go near that said person, or ghost. "We know, and we'll steer clear of your home the next time we close in on it" said Howard.
"Well, we should go back to our community service now. Enjoy your lunch kids and don't leave the trash here on the bench, it will attract raccoons and those things haven't begun hibernation for some reason" replied Harold.
"Yeah, we've noticed." Lincoln and the others spot some raccoons going through some trash cans, the McBride's' see this and they charge in with they're sticks to scare them off.
But then they run away when the raccoons take their sticks and chase them instead. Oh dear god!
"Well, at least they talked to us. Are we gonna give them a chance to make amends with us mom?" asked Lincoln.
Luna sighs. "Like I said Linc, it's not gonna be an easy thing for them to do. They can't undo what has been done, the damage is here within us and we went through it all and is probably etched into us with more to come."
Lincoln sighs. "I really hope no trouble comes to us, we've been through so much and it hurts to just face the odds like that. Even, when it comes to seeing the old family."
Luna knows his pain. "Me too Linc, me too." They then continue to eat their lunch and watch as everyone enjoys their fun at the park and then animal control comes in to handle the raccoons chasing Howard and Harold.
Seriously, someone stop those critters!
Why are the raccoons acting ling this though? Answer: Where's Lana?
(The Loud House, nighttime.)
Lincoln and Luna are both in their sleepwear and both of them are ready for bed, it's gonna be a school day tomorrow for them after all. The last school day of the month.
Lincoln checks his school bag and he puts it away and he sees his mom also putting her bag away. "You ready for tomorrow kiddo?"
Lincoln nods. "I am, and I know the others will wanna know about what happened when we….. When we went to see, her. But I'll just tell them not to ask me or not to push it. I know they'll understand, or Jordan and Lucy will beat me to the talk and they'll back off."
Luna smiles. "Good to know and maybe we can have a hang out at Great Lakes City soon, how about after our gig on Friday, like Sunday."
Lincoln smiles. "I'd like that mom. We should bring Jordan with us, just to be safe."
"That does sound like a cool idea and I was thinking of bringing Lucy and Sam along for the ride too" replied Luna. "How does that sound kiddo?"
"That sounds like a nice idea too mom, they'd like to hang out with us. Though, I'm not sure what Lucy would wanna do when she tags along, what about Michelle Lewis though?" asked Lincoln.
"We're gonna have to ask her for that one. Her choice, not ours" said Luna. "Now come on, it's getting late and we need some sleep, we got a big day tomorrow and education is important."
Luna then tucks her son into bed. "Comfy kiddo?"
Lincoln nods. "Yeah, I am." But he was thinking of something else and Luna knows what it is.
"Do you want me to spend the night with you in your bunk kiddo?"
Lincoln nods. "T-That would be nice, thanks mom."
Luna then scooches closer and gets under the covers with her son. She then pulls him close to her in a hug. "There, feeling better now Lincoln?"
Lincoln nods and he snuggles to his mom with his plush polar bear in between them. "I am now mom. Good night mom, I love you so much."
Luna smiles and she kisses his forehead as he snuggles to her. "Good night little dude, sleep tight my son and mom loves you too, always and always." She closes her eyes as well and tries to get some sleep.
A/N: Well, they spoke to Howard and Harold and things are gonna be a bit less conflicted between the Louds and McBride's, but perhaps one day they'll think about this and see to it they can be friends again. Lincoln and Clyde are still best friends, so that's good. Leave a review and tell me what you all think.
