Tis the most, eventful time, of the ye….. Yeah, you all get the idea. It's December and we are closing to the biggest and merriest of all Holiday events of the year and so, let's see where this goes for Lincoln and Luna. Enjoy reading guys.
Family of Two.
Chapter 110: 1st of the merriest month.
(The Loud House.)
Lincoln puts on his winter clothing and so does his mom, Luna and both of them look to the backyard and see just how snowy the ground is becoming. Well, not that snowy yet. But the snowflakes have passed and there is some snow on the ground.
"Wow. This is it, the month we've all been waiting for mom" said Lincoln.
Luna chuckles. "Darn right it is kiddo, the month everyone's been waiting for and the same with us. Now, the snow hasn't hit yet, so this gives us the chance to last through the snow that might come soon. We should get to school now."
They both grab their bags and both of them head out of the room and out of the house. They go outside and they spot Michelle going to her car. "Hey guys, see you all later. I have a big plan for Reiningers and I know Mrs. Carmichael is gonna love it!" She then goes into her car and drives off.
Luna and Lincoln wave goodbye to her and then Great Grandma Harriet appears in front of them and this startles them. "Oh jeez!"
She then hands them some thermoses. "Hot Chocolate, the winter is going to come soon. I saw on the newspaper and on the TV from that Drizzle person saying a massive snow storm will be inbound, soon."
"Oh, thanks and thanks for the info too. See you after school Great Grandma Harriet!" said Lincoln. He and his mom go into her car and drive off.
Harriet waves goodbye and she looks to the sky. "That snow storm is coming soon, we have to be ready for it." She then sees Mr. Grouse and he's beginning to shovel some of the snow on his driveway. "Bud Grouse, I don't think you told me about your thanksgiving. How did it go?"
"Well, it went nearly wrong when the turkey almost blew up. Almost" replied Mr. Grouse, they then talk about what happened on their thanksgiving, but it seems Grouse had it nearly worse.
With Lincoln and Luna; Lincoln looks out the window and he sees some folks in snow clothing and they drive by the school bus which picks up Zach, Artie and Lance.
Then Lincoln realizes something. "Hey mom."
"Yeah kiddo?" asked Luna. She makes a turn to the right.
"If this snow hits and same with the upcoming snow storm, how the heck are you and the others gonna be able to make the gig?" asked Lincoln.
Luna goes wide eyes and is shocked. "Whoa. That one I did not see coming, but not to worry kiddo. When I get to the school, I'll have a talk with the band."
Lincoln nods. "Okay, can you also inform me on what plan you guys have. Maybe I can add some assistance to that plan and make it even better."
Luna smiles. "You got it kiddo." They then continue their drive to the school.
(Royal Woods Elementary School.)
Lincoln walks down the halls and he removes his hat and he waves to some of the students there and he also sees Coach Pokawski with a cast on his foot. 'What the heck happened to Coach?' then he sees his friends.
"Hey guys, happy December and does anyone have any clue what the heck is up with Coach?"
They all look to Jenny. "Well, from what I know, the coach got hurt the other day when he came back to his home. Something about him slipping on the docks and then some fisherman dropped his large barrel of fish, so that about sums it up."
"Chances there might not even be a gym class for Thursday" replied Cristina.
To Jordan's thoughts. 'Dang it!'
Lincoln is shocked to hear this. "Oh, wow. Well, that does sound bad. Well, have you guys heard of the incoming snow storm to hit the town?"
"We did, but it is unknown on when it will come, but I am putting all of my bets for tomorrow" replied Trent.
"You sure you wanna bet on it man?" asked Stella. "Sounds like a tall and bad order to lose to someone who might guess it otherwise."
"We're already placing bets, we just gotta wait for Zach and the others to come here and then we can make it official, also Clyde made the announcement that classes are not gonna be available till next week. No clue why" said Rusty.
This was making all of Trent's bets all the more predictable. Then they see Lucy go towards Lincoln. "Hey Luce, so how's the new Writers club going on?"
Lucy smiles. "Going as good as we planned, my mom is a good writer and she does have her own book which shocks for me to know, she may be retired, but she's been such an awesome writer to the books she published. So, like what me, Haiku and Maggie talked about, she is the one to lead our own writer's club and it is outside of the school's own laws and rules and other stuff."
"Huh, didn't know Mrs. Shapiro was an author, what books did she publish?" asked Jordan.
Haiku comes out of nowhere and startles them. "A past of the remembered and it has three sequels. The past is yet to return and the past is the future of our lives and my mom and myself read them and they are very beautiful."
"Never heard of the book though" replied Lincoln. "Also, I'm kinda shocked your mom made those books."
"She said it was during her early college years, she made them in her emo times" replied Lucy.
Hearing this makes things very much obvious on where Maggie got her emo teen side.
"Well, that explains a lot" said Tabby. She then sees someone walking towards them. "Look alive peeps. He come the authority."
They all see that Principal Huggins is going towards them. "Lucy Shapiro, I would like to know why you along with Haiku, Sasha and Amir have left the Writer's Club. I heard from Sheryl that all of you have left and have informed your parents and are okay with this. Care to explain why this happened?"
Lucy is about to speak, but Haiku does so. "Because we don't like the way you teach it and through that we were starting to hate the ways of being good writers and we also gave the heads up to others as well, such as those from the Young Morticians Club."
"Oh, so that's what Persephone asked me to post, well it's still on and trending" said Jenny.
They all see on their phones from the Royal Woods Grade School News Site.
"Writer's Club deemed boring and too much on the rules and regulations, lacks good writing skills and experience. Do not go and join it, it's not worth it! I repeat, it is not worth it! Former club members have left for the reason and is issuing this warning to those who seek to be as good writers as novel writers of the past, present and possibly future."
This shocks Principal Huggins. "What? This is absurd! How can all of you just say that about the club?"
"Because it's all true and we are not gonna be part of it, not anymore and you can't just get us to join back in and also someone is behind you" said Lucy.
"Right, like I would fall for that malarchy" said Principal Huggins. "And what is this I heard about this other writer's club you and you're friends have made? And who is leading them?"
"The one leading them is a well-known and retired author, Wilber Huggins!" The Principal knows that voice and it makes him scared every time he hears it. He turns around and sees who it is.
"Superintendent Chen, what are you doing here?" asked Principal Huggins.
"I'm here to deal with the issue of not giving some of the kids here some fun and proper encouragement and from the words of the parents who have kids who quitted the so-called Writer's Club this school has. Honestly Huggins, how could you even stand the words coming out of your mouth?"
"Why do you think the rest of the School Board passed out when you started discussing about Floor Wax management and also, did you forget that there are High-Tech Cameras around the school that record everything and report back to the School Board?"
Huggins sees the Burst Drone cameras looking at him. "Oh, right. Well, I have a very good explanation for this…"
"Nope. You and I are going to have a serious talk about this, in your office, now!" said Superintendent Chen. The Principal has no choice, but to follow her. He is in for some serious talk with the lady.
Lincoln and the others watch this happen and Clyde arrives and sees this. "What the heck did I miss?"
"Quite a lot really" replied Lincoln. "So, any reasons why there's no school until Monday?"
"Oh right. Well, since it is unknown on when the snow storm is coming, we're taking precautions and orders from the School Board says, that all schools will be closed, starting from tomorrow all the way till Monday. Classes will resume on Tuesday instead" replied Clyde.
"Well, that's good to know" replied Trent. They all sigh in annoyance, they know he bets on this so stop gloating dude!
(Royal Woods High School.)
Luna walks down the halls and she sees Sam walk towards her. "Luna, did you hear that tomorrow someone well-known in town is coming to Royal Woods."
"Really? Who?" asked Luna.
Then Dana goes to them. "Obviously, the one woman who sponsors the Burpin; Burger, legendary racecar driver, Bobbie Fletcher and she's gonna be at the Burpin; Burger to show everyone the new kind of promo for all the Burpin; Burger and racing fans out there, and sure enough some teens here are gonna be lining up for the whole event."
"Huh, I think I recall a flier about it" replied Luna. "Linc and I are planning to go back to the Burpin' Burger, but I don't think we plan to stay there and eat, we might be going for takeout instead."
They then hear the bell ring, and Dana heads to her class. While Luna and Sam go to the music clubs room, since they have free time. Why? They spotted their first period teacher being hauled into an ambulance earlier.
"Dang. I hope the teach gets well soon, she should've seen that icy pathway" said Luna.
"The one to be blamed would be the janitor who didn't even handle the whole thing when he came here. Also, Oliver announced that there is not gonna be any school until Tuesday" replied Sam. "Due to the fact it is unknown on when the snow storm will hit the town. This applies to all schools."
"Well, looks like Linc and I have some free time for tomorrow, but we'll keep a weather eye out for the snow storm when it does hit" replied Luna. "You think the mall is gonna be affected?"
"Probably, let's hope the storm doesn't come while everyone is in the mall" said Sam.
"Yeah, I can't imagine Michelle Lewis stuck in the mall with….. So much food and….. Okay, I think she'll make it" said Luna. This makes them both laugh a bit.
They then make it into the music club room and see the rest of the band mates, Sully and Mazzy. "There she is, the band leader and second-command" chuckled Mazzy.
Sam snickers. "The way you say it makes it sound like we're going to war."
"Well, now that we're here. What are we talking about again? Is this about the gig we're gonna do this Friday night?" asked Sully.
Luna and Sam take their seats. "Yeah, it does and what worries me that if this storm does hit, chances it could be on the very same day we go to the gig and that worries me so much, Lincoln is coming with us to perform on stage with the song I made for me and him to perform."
"That sounds dang right sweet of you Lunes, but should there be a snow storm, then what the heck do we do?" asked Mazzy.
Luna smirks. "I have a plan, and it involves the FutureTech guys who can help us out, it's a tall order, but I think I can make it happen. But I need the rest of the band to be prepared for what we might need when the storm hits."
"But should the storm do come early, and then end before the gig begins, then there's no need for the plan. But chances we'll need the plan, because you never know when a second snow storm might come" said Sam,
"Then I guess we know what to do, and also we stick to the plans and keep ourselves and Lincoln safe and sound. We're gonna need to talk to Chunk about this later" said Sully.
"That part will be done soon, now come on guys." Luna gets up and grabs her axe. "We got spare time today, and classes won't begin for us till second period. Time for some practice before Friday sparks the Luna-Tics once more!"
They all smile and get to their instruments and they begin to practice. Luna then grabs her lyric notebooks and she sees the last song she made, the one that she will perform with Lincoln.
"Light of Christmas."
Luna smiles. 'This Friday is gonna be one Linc and I will truly cherish, from the music we both know and love to do.'
