This is it, it is time for Lincoln and Luna to go and see how Lynn Sr and Rita have been doing and see how they feel about everything that they have done, but they won't be alone to go and see them. Will there be trouble? Obviously. I would like to thank "The Amazing Ghost Magician" for the idea and small concept. Enjoy folks.
Family of Two.
Chapter 115: To the former parents.
(State Michigan Correctional Facility, Lansing City. Lansing.)
At the large correctional facility; Lynn Sr along with Rita are walking down the halls, they had finished they're parent classes and are now being escorted by some guards and Lynn's cellmate, Gerald Langston.
They are confused as to where the heck are they going and what the heck was even going on. "So, where are we going again?" asked Rita.
Gerald is about to say something. "I have…. No idea. Sorry guys, but all we got word is that we have to get to the meeting place. The location where inmates meet up with folks from the outside."
Rita thinks about this. "Could be my dad, but I haven't seen him since….. Since the day after I was sent here." She looks down with guilt and sadness, she recalls how disappointed her father was when she made this act of child abandonment and did nothing to save Lincoln from his near demise and torment.
Lynn Sr remains silent and doesn't say anything. He knows Rita has some plans and those plans might be divorce once they both have finished they're time in jail. Lynn Sr prays it doesn't happen and that Rita might change her mind and they might remain married.
Gerald sees this and he also feels saddened by how the relationship between Rita and Lynn Sr is slowly breaking. It reminded him of the issues he had with his wife, but he knows his wife is still wanting to see him, he gets letters from her and his kids and he hopes he can rehabilitate and go back to them.
But as of now, he sees that the one thing he has to do is help Lynn Sr and Rita and see if he can help mend their damage to their marriage.
They continue to walk down the halls and they meet with the warden; Scott Dawkins Tertran. A man in his late 30's and has brown that is in a military buzz cut and is wearing a black jacket and black pants and black shoes. This guy likes the color black, like a lot and he is half-American, half-German.
He also knows the Dr. who tends to Luan at the Asylum.
"Lynn Sr and Rita, are you ready?"
The two former louds nod, but they're both confused. Rita then asks. "Warden, why are we going to the inmates to folks meeting place? Are we expecting some guests?"
The warden nods. "Yes, a small group of folks who wish to see you and speak on how you two have been doing here and we have doubled all form of security to ensure nothing goes wrong."
Then Gerald asks. "And what of Jeremy and Emanuel? Where the heck are those monsters?"
The warden looks to his tablet. "Alright, so Jeremy J.K Trump and Emanuel C. Chavez Del Santos are currently getting ready to be transported into the dropships to be sent to another prison and far from here. I have requested them to be sent to a prison somewhere in New Mexico, and they're going to go through some tough and painful rehabilitation for their actions on Lynnard and Rita."
Gerald smirks. "Serves them right, as long as their outta here, then everything will be alright. Right Lynn?"
But Lynn does not respond. This upsets Gerald, for he knows that he's worried about what Rita would still do when they get out.
They then arrive to the meeting place, where there are tons of tables and chairs and guards securing the place from the balconies nearby.
Rita, Lynn Sr and Gerald walk in and are shocked at who they see, waiting by a bunch of chairs and one large table, are the very folks they did not expect to see them.
Luna, Lincoln, Sam, Lucy and Michelle Lewis. Rita and Lynn Sr are shocked out of their minds, they didn't think they would be here and see them, and they don't even know what they want or why they bothered to show up.
Rita feels like running towards them, but she knows she can't and she might invoke Luna into anger. So, Rita walks towards them with some guards, Lynn Sr slowly follows her and the group spot them and get up from their seats.
Luna looks to them sternly, Lincoln and Lucy are nervous, Michelle and Sam do not seem amused and don't like the two former parents.
Gerald decides to stay by the doorway that leads back to the prison cells. "You guys got this." Was the last thing he told them before he waits by the door, he hopes they can be able to make things right with Lincoln and Luna.
Rita and Lynn Sr wanna say something, but they don't know what to say. "Well, I think we should all take our seats now" said Luna. They all do so and look to the former parents.
There is an ominous silence and also they're the only ones there with the guards on lookout for any signs of trouble. The crew from Royal Woods wait for anything that Lynn Sr and Rita have to say.
The former parents don't even know how to even respond to why they were there. They heard so much from what Lincoln and Luna have been through, and they felt bad that it all happened to them. This madness and pandemonium of chaos started when they didn't have the spines to be responsible to their own kids.
Michelle speaks. "So, how have you two been doing here while Lincoln and Luna have been doing their part living together in a house, with me as a housemate and aunt?"
This confuses Lynn Sr and Rita, so Luna speaks for them. "Michelle Lewis Loud, we decided to let her into the family name. She deserves it after she has no family or anyone to even call family friends and so she's our family close to home, along with Harriet also Harriet isn't here, she's back home keeping an eye on the house."
Hearing that name makes the former parents scared, they still recall the constant hauntings from the deceased family relative and how she tormented the louds before the court began.
Lynn Sr then asks. "W-Why is L-Lucy here?"
Lucy looks to the two former parents. "I was wondering when you two would sing that question. Okay, so Harriet and I are on good terms and she forgives me, which also shocks me. I am now adopted into another family, so call me Lucy Shapiro and that last name belongs to a loving family, where I have a big sister, a mom who's a retired book writer and a dad who's a soldier who has to go back to service next year."
Lynn Sr and Rita are wide eyed hearing this. The guards whistle at how impressive that sounds and one of them salutes as well, they know a man or woman on the frontlines should be shown some respect and this little Goth girl has been adopted into the family where the dad is a soldier.
Then Rita asks them. "How are things at home? Like, what's going on with Pop-pop?"
Luna sighs. "He's doing well, especially with his sweet heart Myrtle, or we call her Gran-Gran."
Rita is shocked hearing this. She didn't know her dad has found someone. Then Lincoln speaks. "We don't have to go and see Ruth anymore, she now has someone to keep an eye on her and her cats have been removed and now she only has a few. She's been given warnings and is now taking action to do the right thing with her life. Something you guys never bothered to fix."
Lynn Sr feels relieved to hear that and also questions. 'Wh-Why didn't we think of that?'
Lincoln continues to talk. "We've had issues with Clyde's dads, I now have a girlfriend who understands my pain and has been crushing over me since kindergarten, we have more than a million bucks to keep us supported, We went to check on Lori and Leni and we forgive them for their actions, my mom here has a big gig next year in summer to tour around the country and we had to fight through hell to keep this family together."
Rita feels like shedding tears. Knowing this is happening, and she's not there to see nor there to stop the madness and pain. It hurts her to hear that Lincoln is constantly calling Luna, his mom.
Luna rubs Lincoln's back, Lincoln then speaks. "Then…. Then some folks kidnapped me….. Hurt me, and wanted to hurt… My mom, I was scared and angry." He wipes away some tears and Sam goes over and hugs him to keep him calm and he returns the hug as well.
Lynn Sr and Rita can see just how much hurt Lincoln is now, he's been through so much hell since the end of the court, and Lincoln and Luna may be living in peace and in each other's company, but they are facing some hard trials of their own and are doing whatever they can to fight back.
Rita then speaks. "Lincoln….. Luna, I... I'm so sorry. I'm sorry this is happening to us… All of us."
Lynn Sr speaks next. "I should've done more….. I should've done more, but I didn't… I couldn't. I wanted this family, and I never knew how to fully….. Be a good and responsible father. I'm s-sorry." He sheds some tears, knowing his dream to a big family has caused this much damage to his former son.
Lincoln and Luna feel sorry for the two. Lincoln is about to speak. But then they hear something. "What the heck is that sound?" asked Sam.
Michelle listens closely. "Sounds like the engine of an armored car coming." Hearing her say that did not sound good to the warden, then they hear the radio of one of the guards.
"This is escort service! We need backup out here now! We got ten wounded guards and the inmates have taken the armored car! Incoming!"
This makes Luna go wide eyed and she grabs Lincoln, while Sam grabs Lucy and they all move out of the way and just in time too.
An armored car breaks through the wall and smashes onto the table they were on, Michelle managed to move out of the way and same with Lynn Sr and Rita and they take cover.
The dust clears and then Rita feels someone grab her hair and that someone is Emanuel. "I got her man!" He then drags the screaming Rita into the armored car. The guards see this and try to shoot, but Jeremy begins to shoot at them with the rifle he took from the guards.
"Get in here now!" He then shoots the guards who all take cover from this attack.
Then Luna comes out of cover and she shoots back with her pistol and she gets the attention of the men. "Hey man, it's the daughter! Let's get her too!" said Emanuel.
Jeremy focuses his shots on her and Luna takes cover. Luna then reloads and she looks around, she sees her son with Lucy taking cover at another table and he does what he can to comfort Lucy, while also trying to be brave as well, since this isn't the first time he was caught in a crossfire.
Luna sees Sam with Michelle taking cover behind some tables and Michelle looks around for something to use. Luna needs to wait for the right moment, but she can't due to the fact she's taking fire.
Jeremy then redirects his fire back to the guards, Luna comes out of cover to shoot, but her gun is knocked away and Emanuel hits her in the head and he drags her away. "I got the bitch! Let's get the hell outta here!"
Lynn Sr sees this and is angered. "No!" He tries to go after Emanuel, and they both fight for the gun and he drops Luna who is unconscious on the ground with some blood from her forehead.
Jeremy sees this and he tries to shoot, but he can't. "Hey! Stop moving around man, I can't get a clear shot!"
Rita gets up and sees this, but she can't get free because her hands have been cuffed to the seats of the armored car.
Michelle then sees two rifles that fell off the car and she slowly sneaks towards them along with Sam.
Lincoln sees this and feels scared, then he sees something near him and he grabs it. Luna gets up and sees this happening. "Ow, my head. What the?"
She sees Lynn Sr fighting off one of the inmates for the gun, she gets up and she joins in fighting for the man's rifle, but he knocks Lynn Sr away and he hits Luna in the gut and he points his gun at her. "Might as well shoot those legs of yours bitch!"
But then a gunshot is heard and Emanuel screams in pain. They see Lincoln holding Luna's pistol and he shot Emanuel in the leg.
"Mother fucking punk!" Jeremy is about to shoot Lincoln, but then he's shot several times by Michelle Lewis and Sam who open fire and let led fly onto the man, he tries to grab a handgun but the guards see this and open fire as well.
Jeremy falls off the armored car and lands onto a broken pole from the tables, and it acts like a stalagmite and he's impaled through the heart.
Lincoln goes over to Luna. "Mom! Are you okay?" But then Emanuel grabs Lincoln by his hair.
"Nobody do shit or this fucker dies!" He points his rifle to Lincoln head. But then he's hit in the head by a table that Lynn Sr used, then Emanuel looks around and Lincoln kicks him in the head.
Luna grabs the rifle and hits the man in the face and then Sam and Michelle come in and they also hit him in the head with the rifles they have.
The prisoner is now unconscious and the guards come down the balconies, and they help them out. They tend to Rita and break her free from her cuffs.
They even take away the unconscious prisoner and some EMT's arrive to check on the wounded guards and the ones who were taken down outside.
Then they check on Luna and Lynn Sr who are hurt, Lincoln goes over to Luna and hugs her. "That was….. That was scary mom!"
Luna hugs him and kisses his forehead. "You're okay. We're okay, we're fine now. We're alright now." They both shed some tears and she does what she can to comfort her son. "That's my little trooper, you were brave out there kiddo."
Rita is saddened seeing this, Lincoln has been in a situation where he nearly got himself killed and yet he fought back and found comfort in Luna still, but she knew this was for the best and she goes over to Lynn. "Are you okay?"
Gerald helps tend to Lynn's bruise on his head. "Y-Yeah, I am. Thank god they're okay." They all look to Lincoln and Luna who are still hugging each other.
"I think we should just let them be the family they need, I know we both wanna become the good parents we should be, but that could be a long while and we're gonna need to figure it out" replied Rita.
Lynn Sr is confused and looks to Rita. "We?"
Rita smiles. "Yes, we. If we're gonna try and make up for the wrongs we've done, we'll have to work together to make things right, and we can start by trying to pass parent class, together."
Lynn Sr smiles, Rita is on the same page with him now. Seeing Lynn fight back to save their former kids has made her see that he can be trusted and be changed into someone who is not a coward anymore. Like how Luna has changed so much, to become better parents, probably like Luna is now.
Lucy goes over and she too hugs Lincoln and Luna.
Rita and Lynn Sr both have the same idea. 'If we do get out, should we regain custody to one of our children?'
Luna, Lincoln and Lucy continue the hug, then they hear someone nearly collapse. "Michelle!" Sam yells and she sees what has happened.
They all see Michelle Lewis Loud going down on her knees and they see she has a wound on the right side of her hip, she must've got hit from a stray bullet. She drops the rifle and looks to Luna, Lincoln and Lucy.
"Guys….. I don't feel….. So, good." She then collapses to the side of the armored car.
"Michelle!" Lincoln, Luna, Lucy and Sam go over and they help her. Then the paramedics come and they escort the wounded woman into an ambulance.
Lincoln and Luna look back to Lynn and Rita. "We'll be in touch." The parents nod and they watch as Luna and Lincoln go with the paramedics to check on their wounded family member.
Rita sighs. "I pray that they don't have to go through more trouble, its December and they don't need to be in pain anymore."
"I know Rita, I just hope they can stand up when trouble shows up again" replied Lynn Sr.
They both can only hope that the Family of two from Luna and Lincoln Loud can hold.
A/N: Well, that nearly went to shit real fast and Michelle will be fine, and the convict may be dead, but one still lives, so chances things might not be so easy for Lynn Sr and Rita next time. Leave a review and tell me what you all think.
