Chapter 127: Trial and punishment.
(Royal Woods Court House.)
The courthouse is lively with tons of news crews and everyone is looking forward to one hell of a court, though not everyone will be in there to hear all of it. The snow storm has passed last night and the snow is all over the ground and everyone is in their winter gear, but though the land is not cold.
The whole town is there and all of them are waiting for those who have come for this epic court, they haven't seen this kind of court issue in their town since the Bad Luck fiasco.
Then they see something, a police car arrives and coming out is someone they did not see coming. Lori – Wearing a light blue shirt and jeans, slip on shoes and white long sleeve jacket. She then walks to the court house with the Warden.
They are all shocked to see her, but they understand what she's here for and she sees her former friends cheering her on. She was back in action, but they have no clue that the cameras are live and they even reach Great Lakes City, which could mean that the Casagrandes are seeing this too.
Then comes in some more vehicles. One with Lucy, and her family, another with Albert and Myrtle, next was Clyde and his dad's, tons of students and staff who have known Chandler and his ways including Ms. Dimartino and some folks around town who have also seen the mean ways of Chandler, especially his pals Dennis and Patrick who are ready to speak what they know about him.
Then a dropship arrives and when it lands, someone walks out and is wearing her prison attire still, straight from the juvenile hall at Traverse City, Annabelle C. McCann and the sight of her shocks everyone. They heard of her, but never thought she'd be here and have heard rumors that she is against her former cousin.
Then Katherine Mulligan arrives on the scene to report this, but then StoneHeart escorts her and her camera man into the court house, since they are both witnesses and victims to the assault and they both are willing to help Lincoln after what he's been through.
Then came the familiar purple Ferrari, and as it arrives everyone remains silent and asks no questions and coming out are the louds themselves. Luna, Lincoln on his hovering wheel chair, Michelle Lewis and the one that every trusts and yet fears, Harriet Willard.
They all watch as they walk towards the court house, Jordan and her family are waiting for them along with Sandra Merris and they all walk into the court house to begin preparations.
"We have all the evidence we need to assure that we will win, but I don't think Chandler can even win without a lawyer on his side" said Merris.
"Good, that snot nosed brat is about to get into a world of hurt when we're through with him" said Luna. Jordan walks close by to Lincoln and holds his hand to keep him comforted.
Then a racecar arrives and parks nearby, and coming out is none other than Bobbie Fletcher and she is ready to bring this kid and her former pit crew member to justice, then the Burpin' Burger tour bus arrives and coming out are the rest of the pit crew and they all have a lot to say about the former new guy of the team.
As soon as she and her pit crew went into the court house, that's when a squad car shows up and coming out is the very same guy who was part of this, the one who made the call to Chandler about Luna and her band and son at the race track at Atlanta Georgia.
Horace Alvenerwear – 20 year's old, wearing a white shirt, red jacket with the logo of Burpin' Burger and blue jeans with green and black sneakers. He has dark brown hair that reaches his neck and he has a small mustache and freckles on his cheeks and he looks scared as heck.
The news crews then start questioning him about his involvement to the whole assault and this makes him nervous and brisk walk to the court house to avoid speaking to anyone.
As soon as he was out of sight, then came in the FutureTech forces and they come down as a squad of Banshees and Viking fighters and each one is armed and ready for what is to come, and what comes next is an armored car and it's being escorted by Russian Sickle walkers and Allied Multi-Gunner IFV's.
The armored car stops and troops come out from the back, and then they have someone in chains and wearing a light blue prison uniform and he's sporting a black eye and some bruises and a smile. Chandler (not McCann.)
As soon as he walks out, the people all glare at him and the folks have signs that all wish for him to perish and never come back, but to Chandler he just smirks.
"Thank you, thank you. I swear to all of you that today will not be the last time you all see me. I shall return and I shall fix this place and everyone will see how awesome I am. Thank you, all of you. I know I'm a bitch and I don't give a fuck about all of you."
He's then being pushed by the troops. "Move it dirt bag McStupid." He then walks to the court house, Chandler had no fear, just anger and a grin on his face, thinking he's gonna win this.
(Inside.)
As everyone takes their seats, Luna is with her son and with them is Detective Merris as they're lawyer since Michelle Lewis was the victim of the attack, with her are Katherine Mulligan and her camera guy and Lori and Annabelle and they are not happy with the kid who arrived.
They all look to the new guy from Bobbie Fletcher's crew and the crew and Bobbie Fletcher are ticked off towards Horace and what he did. "Guys, please. I had no part in this, I didn't think he'd do this. Please."
They all paid no attention towards him and then they see the doors open and he has arrived. "Hello court house. Chandler is here and I am ready to win it."
He walks to his seat, which is where he sees no one is seating on the chairs behind him, except for the guy who he knows. "What's up man? Thanks again for helping me with the info for the race last week."
Horace is shocked he said that. "What the heck is wrong with you?! We're in court and we're going to jail!"
Chandler smirks. "What's wrong with me? What's wrong with me? Dude, I'm not scared of this at all, I just wanna make a good impression and there's no way we can lose this. We're gonna win, well I am. So relax."
Chandler then looks to the other area and sees lots of folks on Lincoln and Luna's side. "Heh, big deal. I'll just pretend they're on my side and helping me win. Besides, when this is over, Larry and I have a score to settle and when I'm done, he'll wish he were never ever born!"
Luna is this close to shooting him, but Lincoln calms her down. "Mom, he's not worth it. Leave him be, it's what he wants."
Chandler chuckles and laughs seeing this, but then he sees his cousin and is wide eyed. "A-Annabelle? What the heck are you doing here?"
Annabelle smirks. "Well, well. The smug look is gone, what's wrong? Fearing of losing because I'm here? Well, you should, because I'm gonna tell everyone here all I know about what you did and I'll have the pleasure to watching you get locked away, for a long, long time."
Chandler then shakes off the fear. "No, I'm not scared. Whether you're here or not, that doesn't change. I'm gonna win!" He then walks to his seat, but he has fear in him since he knows Annabelle has so much dirt on him, but then he sees Lincoln and Luna and that sparks his resolve.
"Better give up now! No point trying to fight back, when this is all over, I am so going to finish what I started and then I'll be a hero! I will show everyone I have one and you and that teenage mom will be nothing more than forgotten, along with the rest of the former louds and then I'll clean them all up, forever!"
Lincoln and Luna pay no attention towards him and they discuss the evidence with Merris, this angers Chandler, he wants them to retaliate, to get angry at him and to talk back. "This is not going to make you win, and you won't ignore me! This is my town! With or without those spineless parents, I will win this!"
Horace sighs and looks down in fear. "This is not gonna go so well for me." He begins to shed tears at what he has gotten himself into.
Michelle scoffs. 'That kid thinks he's winning? What is he Trump? Sure as heck he didn't win the elections last year, and thank god we have Biden as president, I don't know what would've happened to this country if Trump one.'
Then the jury arrives and all of them are other folks who were part of the Summer No Such Luck case and also some have known Chandler and have also seen what he has done when he once lived in town.
The bailiff then makes the announcement as the judge has arrived. "All rise, for the honorable judge James .M McBuild."
That was a name the whole court knows and they all know him too well, especially Lincoln and Luna. Lori seemed nervous, especially Lucy. They really do know him, many, many months ago.
Luna smirks. "Good to see you again dude."
The judge smirks. "And a pleasure to be back for this one." He then looks to Chandler. "And the little punk who thought he could get what he wants, well since you have no lawyer. There might not be any point to you defending yourself."
"Ha! I don't need a lawyer, heck I'll speak when I feel like it" said Chandler as he relaxes onto his seat and waits for this to end.
Judge McBuild scoffs at this kid and his winning ego. "This is not gonna fair well for you. This court is now in session." The judge slams his gabble and the trial has begun.
Merris begins with her statement, the statement on the actions and crimes of Chandler when he once lived in town and how much damage he's done to so many. But Chandler scoffs and thinks nothing of this, he does end up speaking that what he did was for the greater good, his greater good and this angers everyone.
They then call up witnesses, the witnesses were mostly kids and staff from the elementary School who have known Chandler and what he has done. His hunger for popularity and for trying to be on top and better than anyone, and how he manipulates with cash and schemes.
Chandler doesn't care for this at all and shrugs it off as mere nothing.
But he does smile when he sees Miss Dimartino speak and she tells them of the rude gestures towards her and how she has placed him in detention so many times for trying to get close towards her.
Lots of girls from the 6th grade also speak out on his mean ways back then and how he tried to bring the girls to his side, but failed since most of them decided not to interact with him after his sewage birthday party.
But then Chandler gets pissed off when he sees Dennis and Patrick speak. "Hey! They don't get to speak! Get them off of there!"
The judge slams his gabble. "Chandler, remain seated and quiet, those two are witnesses and are here to speak their words. You, stand down, now!"
Chandler then remains seated and looks to Dennis and Patrick in anger.
Every word they speak is the truth and they are all shocked at the heinous schemes Chandler had planned for this year, if he did remain in school. One of them was to stalk Jordan and see the things she likes and have her like Chandler.
Another was to try and make the low-life kids in the school get humiliated by any means necessary and another was a plot to prank Huggins and frame it on someone else to have that kid expelled from school, and another was pushing Lincoln around and calling him Larry Loser till the end of the school year.
And they even speak the more schemes he had, if he would go to Middle School and they are far worse than the past schemes and this angers Chandler, all he has planned was now exposed and as proof, the two boys present the papers and documents that Chandler made and this shocks everyone.
The next to speak was Bobbie Fletcher who tells everyone that Horace Alvenerwear was a good help to the pit crew, but a dork when he wanted to take some pics.
Sometimes it was during the pit stops during the race where he would take a selfie and cause some form of disruption to the whole tire changing process, but they never thought he would be the one to bring more trouble to the race last week and that trouble was bringing harm to a kid who did nothing to him.
They show evidence of the texts that Horace had with Chandler and all confirming that he told him that the Loud teen mom, Luna, her band and her son would be in the race and that was enough proof to make him an accessory to near murder.
Horace Alvenerwear was next to speak. "Everyone, please! I had no idea that would happen! I didn't even know that kid was trouble, I swear I didn't mean any harm!" He then looks to Lincoln. "Kid, please. You have to believe me, I didn't mean to do this. I didn't want this! I was just a fan and new guy to the pit crew!"
"I didn't know something bad would happen, I didn't know that this was Chandler. He told me he was 19 and that he was in college! He said he knew one of the racers and was a fan of Bobbie Fletcher the most! He asked me for some pics, he asked me for so much and he paid me….. And I shouldn't have said that."
Everyone gasps. So, this guy sends pics to Chandler and gets paid as well. This angers Bobbie Fletcher, then they got some evidence that was from Chandler's old home and they were some stuff Lincoln and most of the boys were not allowed to see.
Bobbie rises and is angered and turns red. "Are those my clothes?!"
It is her clothing, her bras and underwear mostly. They got footage of Horace walking out of Bobbie's room at the hotels with her clothing and then they got more proof of the deliveries he sent to Chandler, this was perverted and horrid.
They had to hold back Bobbie who is pissed off and locked and loaded to run this guy over. "You are dead to me! You hear me?! Dead!"
Chandler smirks. "And I sleep with them every night, they're so soft and I like the smell too." This angers Bobbie and she breaks free and she ends up punching Chandler and he hits the wall, then the guards escort her back to her seat.
Chandler gets up and sees the large bruise to his cheek and blood from his nose and he smirks. "I'll treasure that one for sure."
Michelle Lewis is next and then Katherine and the camera guy.
Michelle was just there to keep an eye on Lincoln, but she did not expect someone like another kid to attack her from behind and the evidence of her injury is shown on screen.
Katherine and the cameraman just say they got a call from someone to come to Atlanta Georgia for a big story, but all they saw was the race and they had proof of the anonymous tip that led them there, and thanks to FutureTech, they tracked down the call from a phone that was left in the trash somewhere in Michigan and it had Chandler's finger prints on them.
Chandler scoffs, but he does eye Michelle Lewis. 'Damn. Maybe if I was fast enough to kill the Larry, then I could've taken her with me, along with the news lady.'
The next to speak was Lincoln and Luna.
Lincoln tells them of the many times that Chandler has been a bully and he also has noticed how he tries to gain everyone's trust and attention and how he uses his friends to bully others and gets what he wants and how he looks down to other kids and make them look like idiots. Then he tells them of what Chandler did when classes started and how he nearly killed him and his mom, all for a computer.
Luna then tells them that she has heard about this kid, but hasn't paid any heed to his actions, until she got her son the computer for his birthday and like Lincoln, that the kid nearly tried to kill them and went insane.
Chandler didn't like what they said either, like they didn't deserve to speak or even say those words about him. But his courage and anger fades when Annabelle McCann steps up and she reveals so much about him.
Chandler was mean, ruthless and always stubborn and hard headed, even an 8 year old. He wanted things and he demanded things and attention and when he did not get what he wants, he would lash out and break something. She even reveals the weak guidance of his parents and how they didn't have time for him.
They all wish to see those parents there. But the whereabouts of Mr. and Mrs. McCann is unknown and deep down, that hurt Chandler to know that his mom and dad are done with him and are never coming back, ever again.
"Well, that was a lot. It seems this could end in the way we all know, but we know that Chandler has something to say too" said Judge McBuild.
Chandler smirks and he goes to the stand and he begins his statement.
"Hello losers of town, praise me that I am back, Chandler. Now, I don't get why we're even here. This whole trial is stupid. So what if I hurt that Larry? It doesn't matter, he doesn't belong in town anyway and same goes with his teen mommy too. I'm glad all of you have chosen to side with me and that every word you speak is meaningless and pointless."
"Don't worry guys, when this is all over. Everyone will relish in my glory and then we can make this town exactly as I want it. I am here to help all of you and all of you will love me. Let's make this trial quick and end it with me walking out of here and getting what I want, because I never lose."
Everyone remains silent and Lincoln sighs. "Wow. The theory was right, he has lost it."
"No kidding kid" said Judge McBuild. "Also, go back to your seat Chandler."
Chandler smirks and he walks by Lincoln and Luna. "Say goodbye to your lives losers, and I'll see you next time and next time I'm bringing a truck and a body bag."
Luna is angered by this and she is close to shooting him at point blank range.
The judge then slams his gabble and before he could speak. "Guilty." They all look to the jury.
The one who speaks is Coach Keck. "Sir, we all agreed that he's guilty. Chandler wants it fast, so we say he's guilty and nothing more, same goes with his partner too."
The judge is amazed. "Wow. That was fast. Okay then, so Chandler is guilty of all charges to near murder, assault and other criminal acts."
Chandler is shocked. "What?! No!"
"Also, Horace Alvenerwear you are also found guilty of assisting in murder, and for stealing."
Horace begins to shed tears. "No! No, no! Please!"
"This is bogus man! I demand a recount! Recount all of this, this is rigged and those two are the guilty, not me!" said Chandler.
The judge then reads the papers to the punishment. "Horace Alvenerwear, you will be sentenced to 10 to 20 years in jail, at the Calamine fort in Wichita, Kansas."
The guards then come and pick the cuffed man out of his seat. "No! Please! I didn't mean it! No! Please! I'm sorry!"
Chandler was now in dread. He was next. "No! Don't you dare say anything! I am not guilty, I am the winner here! Me! Me! Me! Me! Me! Me! M!" But then someone tosses a chair at him and it lands smack dab the foot of the chair first to his head and he hits the ground face first too.
The chair was thrown by….. Albert Willard? "Serves you right you hooligan!"
The guards then hand cuff Chandler and help him back to his feet. His face has more bruises and cuts with some blood. "What? What happened?"
The judge then reads the punishment. "Chandler, for the many acts and crimes you have committed. I can't believe this is a possibly punishment. But you will be sentenced to more than 55 years in jail on the newly rebuilt prison of Alcatraz Island in San Francisco, then you will be sentenced to death in the hands of FutureTech's advanced robotics via fatal syringe."
Chandler is wide eyed and horrified. Lincoln and Luna, and everyone else is shocked the most.
"We did not advise for that one" said Luna.
"True, but I did" said Michelle Lewis. "He's a menace and has to be sent away, for good."
Chandler is wide eyed and he lashes out. "No! No! No! This is not how I lose! I win! I always win! What the fuck is wrong with you!" At this point he's gone feral and has some foam from his mouth like some kind of rabid dog.
Then the guard's taze him more than ten times, and he still won't go down. He then breaks free. "I'll kill all of you!" Chandler lunges to Annabelle, but then Lincoln turns on his hover chairs security system and he sends two painful bullets that enter his legs and stun him in place.
Chandler goes down to his knees and he screams in agony from the pain, he holds his legs and sees two holes but no bleeding for some reason.
"Pulse round bullets" said Lincoln. "I read the instructions and those things will linger in your leg for the next one hour, they will constantly vibrate and travel through the muscles of your legs and as they vibrate, they cause immense pain that will make you feel like you lost the feeling to walk."
"Once they've melted away, then you'll be incapable of walking for the next one week, which is the settings I placed before I fired them. Now you'll know how I felt Chandler!"
Chandler wants to speak, but he can't because of the pain. He looks to Lincoln in anger and in tears and he's dragged away by the cops, dragged out of the court house and straight to his long awaited sentence.
Lincoln sighs in relief as everyone cheers for this victory, even the judge is relieved and impressed that they didn't even need to take a recess for this.
Lincoln and Luna look to each other and embrace. "It's over, right mom?"
Luna strokes his white hair and she kisses his forehead. "Yes, yes it is baby. It's over now."
Sam goes over and joins them followed by Michelle Lewis, Harriet, Simon, Jordan, Lucy, Lori and Albert and Myrtle. The pretty much all the friends they have known and cared for join in the hug.
Lincoln then looks to Annabelle. "Come on, you're our friend too and a friend, is family."
Annabelle has tears and she also joins in the hug. Even though she has to go back to juvie, she's glad she made friends in this town and she can't wait to leave juvie and come back to see them all.
But Harriet is thinking of something else. 'Chandler thinks jail is gonna be a life torment for him? He has no idea what I have in store when he goes there.'
