As with the other stories, this is all about a nice Christmas dinner and before the day of giving and sharing comes. Enjoy reading folks, and I hope you all have a nice and merry Christmas morning soon.
Family of Two.
Chapter 133: A Dinner to be merry about.
(December 24. The Loud House.)
The day has come, well not the day of Christmas, but the day before that day. Lincoln comes out of his room and he goes down the stairs, and as he reaches the bottom, he's grabbed and hugged by his mom and both chuckle.
"Good morning kiddo, and a happy early Christmas Linc." Luna kisses his forehead.
Lincoln smirks. "Good morning mom, and a happy early Christmas to you too." He kisses her cheek.
They both depart from the hug and look towards the tree. "Dang. We sure have made this home look wicked festive since this month began" said Luna.
"Sure is and I can't wait for tonight mom. We're gonna have a big family get together Christmas dinner and Lori and Leni are coming" said Lincoln.
Luna chuckles. "Glad to see you in the spirit of the season kiddo, but take it easy and try not to go too much in the joy, or it's gonna be an overload or something."
Lincoln chuckles. "Sorry mom, I'm just so, so excited!" Then he recalls something. "Did Lucy say she was coming? Or if Lily and her parents?"
Luna goes over and she kneels down to his level. "Sorry kiddo, but probably not this year. Lucy, Maggie and their parents are going to Great Lakes City to celebrate with her cop uncle and cousins for dinner, and the Pingrey's are meeting up someplace with the rest of their distant family later."
Lincoln feels disappointed that this is happening, but he smiles. "It's okay. I'm fine with it, as long as they're happy, then so am i. We can always do a bigger family get together Christmas dinner next time. At least the Rosato's and Sharp's are coming here."
Luna smirks. "Right you are kiddo, they got some food all ready to contribute to the whole event tonight and I know you look forward to the two special guests coming."
They then go into the kitchen and are shocked to see Michelle and Great Grandma Harriet busy with the duck that is inside the chicken. "Hey dudes, you all look busy" said Luna.
"We are, and this is harder than it looks." Michelle then stands back and looks to her work. "At least it's done, now all we gotta do is get it soaked into the marinating sauce."
Great Grandma Harriet finishes stirring the pot. "There, now bring forth the double stuffed bird." Michelle with the help of Luna hoist the duck in the chicken and the place it within the pot. "Now we let it settle, and absorb the soup into itself. Give it less than 10 minutes or 15."
Lincoln smiles. "This is gonna be one heck of a dinner, need help guys?"
Michelle nods. "The help would be appreciated." they then get to work on the cake for the whole event to come tonight.
(Later.)
The time is closing into 5'oclock and the loud house has some cars parked outside already and inside now, Sam Sharp along with her brother Simon and they're parents. They all begin to talk and enjoy some quality time on the couch.
Lincoln then gives Simon a gift for him, which he has to open when tomorrow comes and of course Luna has one for Sam. Let's not say that they didn't bring something for Lincoln and Luna, they also give them the gifts for them as well.
All while Michelle helps set up the table, well not yet since they're expecting… And the doorbell rings. "That must be them." she opens the door and sees Rick and Jesse Rosato walk in with trays of food.
"Are we late? We had to make sure that the food for this event was ready" said Rick.
"Not at all dudes, to the dining room and just in time before we setup the table too" said Luna.
"Allow me to assist." Harriet manages to levitate two trays of large food and place them onto the table, and they begin to set everything up.
Then Jordan comes in. "Lincoln!" They boy gets up and he embraces the Rosato girl. "So glad we made it, how are you handling?"
Lincoln kisses her cheek. "Feeling fine now that you're here. But we are waiting for two more guests, but until they come I have this for you." Lincoln then gives her a present that is wrapped in red with snow flake symbols all over and a blue ribbon.
Jordan smiles at this. "Thank you Lincoln, I also got something for you and Simon too." She then hands the gifts to Lincoln and Simon and both are happy for this.
"Thank you so much Jordan, and I promise I'll open this tomorrow" replied Simon.
Lincoln on the other hand was feeling quite joyful for this moment. "Thanks for coming, you and your parents. The first time three family's come together for a Christmas Dinner, this is gonna be awesome."
"The very first of them all. So, what's the news on Great Lakes City?" asked Jordan.
"They're doing well with themselves. From what I heard, Carol and her family are not gonna be part of it and are just having their own Christmas get together" said Lincoln. "But, mom and I have been thinking of having a big family get together for next year."
Jordan giggles. "Now that sounds like a good plan." they then go to the couch and they talk about what else Ronnie Anne is planning alongside Sid, and the rest of the familia. But they have this feeling that the Christmas there might become more than just the Casagrandes and the Chang's.
Luna sees this and she smiles. Then Sam stands next to her. "Lincoln looks like he's happy for today."
"How can he not, this is a moment where it's just us with two more family's for a big Christmas dinner" replied Luna. "We had this last year, and that was with the McBride's and Mr. Grouse."
"Where is the old guy anyway?" asked Sam. "His house seemed empty."
Luna smiles. "He went to see his family this year, they seemed keen on having him come and enjoy the rest of the holidays and he told me he won't be back until January."
Sam chuckles. "Glad he's gonna be happy with his family." Then she asks. "Luna, have you and Linc decided on who to bring for the big Hawaiian stay next month?"
Luna tries to recall. "That one is kinda tough, but I think we have it all covered. But sure to heck there won't be any spoilers for you tonight."
Sam kisses her cheek and giggles. "You're no fun you know that?" They both share a small laugh, then they all hear the sounds of engines and then something landing. "Whoa. What the heck was that?"
Lincoln gets up from the couch. "They're here!" He opens the door and sees them.
Lori and Leni. "Hi Lincoln." They go over and hug the white-haired boy, and he hugs them back.
"You came, you guys actually came! Oh wow!" They stay in this joyful and tearful embrace.
Luna goes over and she hugs them too. "Glad you guys came, we didn't think you two would come."
They then depart from the hug. "And miss out on the plan you made for the past few weeks? Like, heck no we weren't and don't worry about the mental Institute, they seem to be happy with what they're doing there and they want me to be happy here, with all of you guys."
Lori smiles. "Literally the same thing with the juvenile hall. They want me to come here and enjoy some family, well former family time. Even my cellmate was insistent of me to come here, even if I did have some doubts."
Lincoln smiles hearing this. "This is gonna be one awesome Christmas Dinner for all of us!"
Lori and Leni then grabs their bags and see the rest of the family's there. They go over and greet them all, and even though they know that Lori and Leni have done wrong in the past, they can see that these two can be forgiven and possibly trusted. They have a long road to earn that kind of stuff from the rest of town soon.
Luna and Lincoln guide Lori and Leni to where they will be staying. "I hope you guys are cool with this, this was the best we could think of" replied Luna.
Lori and Leni then enter the room they once stayed, now all nice and clean and all the things they once owned are gone. The walk-in closet is cleaned out and has nothing within, and their beds and curtains remain the same, but look like they were washed.
Lori and Leni look around and feel like, there have been so many memories that have been marked and memoires they have not made in a long time.
Lincoln and Luna feel concerned for them. "Are you dudes okay?" asked Luna.
"This isn't a problem is it?" asked Lincoln. "We can always clear out the other rooms and make them more comfortable for you girls."
Lori and Leni can tell that Lincoln and Luna put in so much effort to make this room look nice and clean, which is something they have never done in such a long, long time.
They then turn around and drop their bags and then hug Lincoln and Luna.
"This is fine, this is literally okay. Even though it was the past, it doesn't matter. The people we once were doesn't matter right now."
"Totes yeah. What truly matters, is that we get to spend a night here with you guys and the folks we can all call friends."
Lincoln and Luna smile and they hug them back, all of them in tears and smiling at this moment. As if the family has been reunited but not fully, not yet.
They then depart from the hug. "So, when is Lucy and Lily coming?" asked Leni.
"And since Lily is adopted into the Pingrey family. I wanna know if Carol is coming over too" said Lori.
Lincoln and Luna knew they had to tell them. "Sit down dudes, we have a lot to talk about" said Luna. They sit onto the bed of Leni, and they tell them about what has happened as of lately.
Lori and Leni are shocked to hear this, but they understand that Lily and Lucy have a family dinner to be with, but they are surprised that Luan is starting to become stable, and all thanks to whatever it is she's facing in the asylum.
But Leni on the other hand is concerned. 'Poor Luan, dang it. I promise that when I do leave my line of work, then I'll go over and help her. Whatever it takes.'
Then Michelle knocks. "Hey gang, I know this is a bad time, but dinner is ready and everyone is waiting."
They all smile and they go down to enjoy dinner with the others.
As they make it to the dining room, they are amazed at the food they have all made and brought. "Is that a cake?" asked Leni.
They look onto the cake, which is in the form of a small Christmas tree and looks cute too.
"Sure is, we teamed up to make this while the bird was being soaked in marinating sauce, Linc was the one who suggested something to symbolize the season to be merry and proud of the season" said Luna.
"Otherwise, Michelle and myself would've ended up bickering for more than an hour." replied Harriet. "Now, we should enjoy this meal." Even though she can't eat, she can drink tea and that's fine with her.
Lincoln sits in between Lori and Leni. To Luna, she's okay with it and same with Sam and Jordan. As long as he's happy with this moment that feels like a good memory, from a past that was once loud, but the rest of the night would not be done for them all.
(Late in the night.)
On the couch in the living room, the fireplace is dormant and the tree is sparkling with the lights still on. The dinner has been eaten and done, and had some leftovers that they intend to give to the homeless soon.
After such a nice dinner with their friends and family associates, they spent a few hours talking to each other before they had to say goodbye and goodnight to the Sharps and Rosato's.
Lincoln planned a nice night between himself, his mom, Lori, Leni, Michelle and Harriet. A night to watch a movie, and here we are now.
Luna, Lori and Leni fast asleep on the couch with Lincoln in the middle and on the arm chair fast asleep is Michelle Lewis. All of them have blankets on them, courtesy of Harriet Willard.
She smiles at the good work she has done, and she walks away from them and back to her room. She then sense something coming. 'The associate of the Guardian is coming.' She then goes into the room of Lincoln and Luna and she grabs the gifts they left for each other and brings them out of the room.
But she also sees the gifts that Lori and Leni were planning to give to them as well and she brings them along, then goes downstairs and then she sees him.
Right there, placing gifts by the Christmas tree and a cookie in his mouth. A friend to Gyro. He is the Guardian of wonder and magical, sword master, toy making jolly man. Nicholas St. North, also known as Santa Claus.
An immense man of Russian decent. Tall, buff and a little rotund. He has bright blue eyes, thick black eyebrows and a long white beard and mustache. He has the words "naughty" and "nice" tattooed on each forearm.
Customarily, he wears a black fur hat, a long red coat with black fur trim, and a red plaid shirt, and also carries two swords strapped to his waist, but this is what he wears when not at home in the North Pole.
He then turns around and is nearly startled by Harriet's presence. "Hello North, glad you could make it."
North sighs in relief. "For a minute there, I thought you were one of these good people who woke up. Let me place them under tree." She hands North the gifts and he places them underneath the Christmas tree and they look onto the sleeping group.
"So, what Gyro said is true. A world where wrongs have been made and forgiveness can be granted and trust has to be earned. They may have done some wrong things, but it doesn't mean they are naughty" said North.
"True, and I know the others can be redeemed as well" replied Harriet. "This is the beginning, to see Lori and Leni be with them for one night and half the day tomorrow will be further proof to a future of redemption for the rest of the louds soon."
North sighs. "Well, I should be going now and I do hope to come back here next time and see how all is going. Until then, keep a close eye on this family and make sure they stay on the right track to give second chances to those who wronged them in the past, to the family that was once loud."
North goes to the chimney and he quickly descends upwards.
Harriet then goes to the window and she watches the jolly man of wonder take off on his sleigh with his reindeer and go through a portal and disappear.
Harriet then looks to the clock, and it's now midnight and then she looks to those sleeping and smiles.
'Merry Christmas my family, and to a soon to be Happy New Year's.'
She then leaves them be and goes back to her room. Letting the family in the living room enjoy this nice and warm snuggle time, between the family who were once large, proud and loud.
A/N: A good way for Lincoln and Luna to have their Christmas dinner as mother and son, and with some good company and former family with them as well. Leave a review and tell me what you all think.
The Santa is someone we know from books and the film. You all know who he is, but in this story he's from "Spells and Louds" which is why he mentions the Guardian, Gyro.
Have a Happy Holiday my friends, from yours truly; Heavy5Commando.
