Chapter 135: Snowy Shenanigans.
(The Loud House.)
The snow has stopped falling, which Luna Loud notices and this gives her an idea. 'Time for some mother and son bonding.' When she turns around, she gets startled when she sees Harriet. "Oh jeez!"
"Hello Luna, I believe you and Lincoln have plans for today?"
"We do, so we won't be back until the end of the day, or somewhere around nighttime" replied Luna.
Michelle then goes to the living room with some popcorn. "Okay, but keep an eye on Lincoln and bring something just in case. There was news this morning that someone got stabbed from a mugging, the person will make it."
Hearing this was not making Luna happy, she didn't think trouble would come today. "Thanks for the intel, I got this." She then walks upstairs, leaving Harriet and Michelle to talk to each other.
"So, what I heard from social media is true, there is someone who is mugging folks and at the day after Christmas."
Michelle nods. "Yeah, and whoever this person is, might not be so friendly if he does see Luna and Lincoln. The guy who got stabbed and mugged is none other than the father of Zach, but he's fine."
Harriet sighs. "I'm sure Lincoln may have heard of this, and if it does happen then he has to be cautious as well."
They then see Lincoln and Luna come down the stairs and both in their winter gear. "Hey guys, we're gonna head out now" said Luna.
"And yeah, I heard about the mugging thing, and even though I am worried about what could happen to mom and me. I know we can take this fool and make sure no one else can get hurt" said Lincoln. "We can handle this, plus mom still has her new weapons with her for protection."
Luna smirks. "Got that one right." She looks to Michelle and Harriet. "You dudes need anything as we head out?"
"No thanks I'm good here. Just be careful out there guys" said Michelle.
"I don't think I want anything at this moment, but be safe and keep an eye on Lincoln" replied Harriet.
"I always do, we'll be back later" replied Luna. Lincoln and Luna then head out of the house and they get into Luna's car and drive off.
Michelle and Harriet watch as they drive off. "I worry about them, that mugger might still be out there and if he sees Lincoln and Luna, this could spell disaster. You think they'll be safe?"
Harriet just remains silent and so does Michelle, all they can do is hope the mother and son will be safe.
(Ketcham Park.)
Lincoln and Luna leave the purple Ferrari and she turns on the cars security and then they walk into the park. They look to see some folks going around and enjoying this calm weather, they also see some cops on patrol and some aircraft patrolling the skies.
"Looks like Royal Woods is lively today, and a good thing too" said Luna.
"I hope they do find that mugger and I'm glad Zach's dad is okay and not in great harm" said Lincoln. He then sees Howard and Harold continuing with their community service in the park. By setting up a stage for the upcoming fireworks display.
Luna then thinks to herself. 'New Year's is coming and we gotta figure out what we're gonna do for that moment. Lori and Leni don't wanna come to celebrate because they wanna do they're new Year's at where they are, so maybe I need to see if we can have a mother and son time with Michelle and Harriet for a small family new years' time.'
Seeing the McBride men setting up the stage for the fireworks night was enough for Luna to know what to do for when that night comes.
They keep walking and then they see some teens all enjoying a good snowball fight, so Lincoln and Luna join in. The teens are: Jackie, Mandee, Sully, Mazzy and Whitney.
Lincoln and Luna enjoy throwing snowballs and taking cover from their attacks, they even partner up and Luna carries her son on her back while he tosses lots of snowballs at them, Sully seems to be taking so many hits and ends up looking like a snow man.
"Seriously guys?"
They finish they're fun in snowball fighting and they see Margo, and the rest of the Roller Derby team, and all of them are playing ice hockey and so Lincoln and Luna sit by the frozen lake and watch them play.
Lincoln then thinks. "Hey mom, you think we can go and check on Lori and Leni soon, like next month?"
Luna pulls her son close to her. "Sure we can, I mean we always see them once a month and I know they'll be happy to see us. You also wanna check on the former rents and LJ?"
Lincoln thinks about this. "Sure, it wouldn't hurt to see how they're doing." But someone comes into his mind and so he asks. "What about, Luan? Do we have to see her too?"
Luna thinks about this. "We have to see how she's doing, to see if things are different with her now. But it's your choice kiddo."
Lincoln thinks about this, again. "Yeah, I wanna see her. I wanna know how she's doing, but let's check on Leni first and then Lori and make Luan last after LJ." he then leans on his mom's shoulder.
Luna kisses his forehead. "You got it kiddo." They continue to watch as the preteens play ice hockey, and the puck flies by them and hits a tree and goes back to the lake and goes into the goal.
Margo goes to them. "Sorry about that guys, you two hurt?"
Luna smiles. "We're cool Margo, but be careful next time dudes, and the same goes with the rest of you. This isn't an indoor ice rink and there are folks here enjoying this winter day too."
Margo nods and she goes back into the game. Lincoln then thinks. "You think she wants to go and see Lynn too?"
Luna also goes through her thoughts about this. "No clue, chances she wants to but doesn't know how to make the approach. Lynn and Margo were close as best friends would ever be, ever since grade school."
They continue to watch as Margo plays with her friends, they know that deep down Margo wants to see Lynn. But they won't push her into coming with to see her next time.
(Later.)
Lincoln and Luna walk through the park once more and they make it to the car, they do see someone in a hood walking by on the other side of the street. Luna then looks to a cop and signals her and so the cop goes for the hooded person and the guy runs for it.
Lincoln and Luna then go back into the car. "When he runs, then the guy is the mugger" said Luna. "I hope they do take him down."
Lincoln and Luna then see an ambulance drive by and go to the direction where the guy was walking away from. Seeing this gets them worried and so Luna drives the car to that direction.
The ambulance was not far from the park and they get out and see someone they know being tended to with a wound on her shoulder, that person is Mrs. Carmichael and her son is crying at what had happened.
Luna then texts Michelle about this and Lincoln goes over to see if he can comfort the crying boy. Thank goodness no one else was hurt, and it seems like she tried to fight off the mugger because they see a lot of signs struggle on the snow side walk.
Later; Lincoln and Luna go into the car and drive off, they do slow down when they see ten squad cars drive by them. "Mom, I'm scared."
Luna then places a hand on her son's shoulder. "Easy there kiddo, everything's gonna be fine. They'll catch the bad guy and everyone will be at peace when the guy is taken away. Now, you wanna go and get something to eat?"
Lincoln nods. "Yes please."
Luna smiles. "Okay, and I know where to go." They then drive off to wherever Luna has planned for the two of them.
(Burpin' Burger.)
They both enter the burger restaurant and see not much folks are there and so they go to the register and they order the double cheese and bacon Belcher with hot chocolate and a side of curly cheese fries.
As soon as they get their food, they go to a table and they both enjoy the food. But as they enjoy the food, Lincoln notices someone. Luna also looks to where he's looking and she sighs.
At a table far from theirs is Teri and her two little sisters, Darcy and Lisa. They too are there to try the new burger and also enjoy some quality sister time.
"Linc, it's not an easy task to talk to Lisa. She seems to be avoiding us, even though she did stop that scientist lady" said Luna.
"I know mom, but I wanna know if she's doing fine, she doesn't seem like she even wants to interact or even want anything to do with the both of us. She's like the old Lisa we once knew" said Lincoln. "You think she has any regrets and is going through guilt after what's happened to the family?"
"She could be, I mean Lisa says she's smart and doesn't need emotions, but she is four and a four year old has emotions. Even if they do say they're geniuses or prodigies and all that crud" said Luna. "Just give her time, and soon she'll talk to us."
Lincoln nods. "Okay mom." They then go back to enjoying the food, but then Lincoln gets a text from Jordan.
Jordan Rosato – Lincoln, Jenny told me that she heard from Sheryl that Mrs. Johnson is gonna be in Detroit for something special that she'll be bringing back to Royal Woods. I don't know what it is, but I have a feeling it could be something that you and Luna will be mind blown about.
Also, the mugger was nearly caught today, he got away. Be careful Linc, same with your mom too.
Lincoln is worried about the mugger still out there, but then he thinks. 'What the heck is Mrs. Johnson doing at Detroit? I know her mom doesn't live there, she said her mom lives in Tuscola.'
(Later.)
Lincoln and Luna walk back to the car, then someone walks up to them from behind their car and the guy has a knife.
Luna sees this and she grabs her son and places him behind her. "Back off dude!"
"Shut up!" The guy points the knife at them. "Give me all you're cash, now!"
Luna then pulls out her gun, the peacekeeper and it is armed. "A stupid move bringing a knife to a gun fight! Drop the knife and back off!"
But the mugger also has a gun, and it's a magnum pistol. "You drop the gun, and I'm not stupid either! Now give me the money, now! Or at least the car keys!"
They both have their guns pointed and only a few feet from each other, the patrons inside see this and Teri gets her sisters into her car and she sneaks around the mugger who is distracted.
Lincoln then has an idea, he secretly makes a snow ball and gets ready. Luna and the mugger look to each other and are bent on shooting the other.
"Last call brah, drop the gun and the knife and back off!" said Luna.
"Not a chance bitch, now give me all the cash and everything else and no one dies today!"
Teri then comes out from behind Luna's car and she throws a snow ball to the back of the man and this makes him stumble, then Lincoln throws a snowball to his face.
Seeing this advantage, Luna charges in and uses her gun to hit the man in the back of the head and he falls to the ground unconscious.
Lincoln goes over and hugs his mom and she hugs him too. Some of the patrons come out and they help restrain the mugger.
Luna looks to Teri. "Thanks for the diversion dude."
Teri nods. "This is our town and we do not let this guy just go around and hurt people." Teri then walks back to her car, where Lisa and Darcy hug her.
A police car arrives and Officer Tristen makes the arrest. "Good job Luna, and no shots fired too. At this point, I think you should be an undercover cop or something."
Luna chuckles. "Sorry dude, but I'd stick to being this kid's mom and being a musical kinda gal. Make sure that dirt bag doesn't come out of jail either."
Tristen then puts the man in the back of the squad car, but the mugger inside looks to Luna in anger and the police car drives away.
Lincoln and Luna then go back into the purple Ferrari and they drive off. Not knowing that a lot of the patrons in the burger joint saw the whole thing and recorded it, looks like they'll be getting a lot of calls from their friends at what they did.
(The Loud House.)
Lincoln and Luna walk back into the house, but when they open the door Michelle hugs them. "Thank goodness you two aren't hurt!"
Harriet also goes to them. "You two were brave to take down the mugger, also the whole conflict was recorded and is posted all over social media."
Lincoln and Luna see the phones and the video of what Teri, Lincoln and Luna did. "Huh, didn't see that one coming" said Lincoln.
Luna then gets a text, well a lot of texts. "And looks like everyone we know is worried for us, and even Pop-pop."
"At least that guy is taken care of and won't be around to hurt anyone" said Lincoln. "So, what are you guys doing here?"
They all go over to the couch and enjoy some peace and quiet watching TV, but they see the news about the whole thing with the mugger at Burpin' Burger.
"This news isn't gonna die out anytime soon is it?" asked Luna.
