Chapter 138: Linc and Sam.
(December 29. Sharp Residence.)
At the home of the Sharp's. Lincoln and Sam are on the couch and enjoying the breakfast sandwiches that Sam made, while also watching some TV.
As they watch TV, Sam looks to Lincoln. "How about today you and me hang out? Just the two of us going around town and enjoying some awesome Sam and Linc fun?"
Lincoln smiles hearing that. "That sounds nice, thanks Sam. I guess we haven't hung out much, and even though we have been chilling here at you're place, I could use some outdoors moments with the teen I also see as a mom."
Sam chuckles and she pulls Lincoln in for a hug. "Come here little buddy." Lincoln also hugs her.
They then go back to eating and watching TV. Then Sam gets a message from her mom.
Mom – Sam, we're gonna be home in the afternoon, and your uncle is with us too. Hope you and Lincoln are doing fine, be home soon. See you later sweetie.
Sam puts her phone away and she sees that she and Lincoln are done eating. "Here kiddo, let me help wash these." But Lincoln takes the plates and glasses.
"No, no. You did so much to keep an eye on me, Sam. Let me do this, for you."
Sam smiles. "Okay kiddo, okay." she kisses his forehead and then he heads to the kitchen to handle the dishes and Sam sighs. 'Luna sure is right about one thing, he sure is a kind-hearted kid to do things for those he knows, trusts and loves. Like a devoted kid/son.'
Sam then checks her phone and she texts to Luna.
Sam – Hey Luna, how are things there?
Sam then sees a reply from her girlfriend.
Luna – Not doing so well Sam, I mean the pain is fading and soon I'm gonna take an early morning snooze and try and find some calm and peace from this dang period, I hope I can get well soon. This sucks big time. Keep taking care of Linc for me, and thanks Sam.
Sam then sits on the couch and lets her phone sit next to her. 'Dang it with her period. Why did it have to come now? I hope Linc won't be too disappointed that Luna hasn't come to pick him up, I don't wanna see the little dude get disappointed that she won't come, and New Year's is just a few days away now.'
Sam then gets up and she checks on her phone of what she has planned for herself and Lincoln today. 'Time to make this day fun and awesome for Lincoln, like how Luna bonds with him.'
(Later.)
Lincoln and Sam both walk out of the house, and both in their winter clothes, even with some snow around the place. She then locks the house door and she readies her keys to the family van.
The Sharp's have two rides. One is the truck her dad uses and the other is the family van which is still there. So, Sam can drive that one since she does have her driver's license.
"You ready for today kiddo?" asked Sam.
Lincoln nods. "Sure am, and I know it's gonna be awesome." they both go into the light blue family van. Sam then starts the engine and they drive off.
"So, where are we going for today's bonding moment, Sam?" asked Lincoln.
"Easy there little dude, the whole thing is a surprise and I do not wanna spoil it for ya" replied Sam.
Lincoln smiles and looks out the window. 'This is gonna be one awesome day for me and Sam. I do hope mom is doing fine, I feel like she's having issues and needs more help. Dang it, I really wanna help her.' But Lincoln tries not to think about it, and just occupies himself on what he and Sam are gonna do for today.
(Gus' Games n' Grub.)
They both go into the arcade and they see not much kids are there, they do see Lance and Artie playing on some games. "So, what do you wanna play here kiddo?" asked Sam.
Lincoln then takes Sam to the Dance, Dance Revolution game and both of them see which one is better at dancing, and thanks to Luna, Sam can dance nicely than she thought she would, but she couldn't beat Lincoln.
They then go to the Tekken fighting game and Sam ends up winning 3 out of 5 games against Lincoln.
Lincoln and Sam go to the racing game, where Lincoln wins as many times against the blonde teen.
But both Lincoln and Sam aren't good with basketball bank shots and end up tied with only a few tickets.
Sam does manage to win the claw machine and get Lincoln a prize he can truly cherish, a yellow teddy bear keychain that has a light blue electric guitar. Kinda reminds him of Sam Sharp.
Later, they both sit down and Sam orders them some pizza and drinks. She then goes over and sits next to Lincoln. "So, enjoying this day so far?"
Lincoln nods. "Sure am, just wish we were that good at the basketball bank shots. We didn't get much tickets, but still, we both had fun and that's all that matters."
Sam smirks. "Well, this day is just beginning and sure as heck I know you're gonna like what else I have planned for just the two of is, today."
Lincoln liked the sound of that. "And I can't wait for me, Sam." Then they see Becky arrives and with their pizza. Two large stuffed crust cheese pizzas and two sodas, and even some chili fries.
(Royal Woods Mall.)
Lincoln and Sam make it to the mall and go to the music store, there they check out what's new and what's on good deals. They are happy to see some songs that they have been looking for are now available at a great price and Sam is happy she can finally purchase the wireless headphones.
They both walk out of the mall and they look around the place.
"So, where do you wanna go to next Lincoln?" asked Sam.
Lincoln then looks around the place. "Well, we can't go and see a movie, the place is closed." They both see the Royal Woods mall cinema house is closed and they recall that the Royal Woods Theater is also closed. "I guess, I wanna check out the comic book store, just to see what could be new."
Sam smiles. "Then let's get to it, little dude." they both walk towards the comic book store.
As they both get there, Lincoln sees Renee and he walks by and high fives her while she reads a comic book on Ghost Rider.
Lincoln goes through some comic books and so does Sam, she was going through some comic books about this DC heroine named "Black Canary." She does recall her hero counterpart in the other world has electric powers, but she was always fond of one day having sound blasting powers.
Lincoln then spots some of the comics he made "Ace Savvy and the Night Club" and he sees some of them are on sale, and some of the action figures as well. 'Looks like the comics I made are still on sale, but soon I will send my new one to Bill Buck and see how he likes it.'
"Excuse me." Lincoln then sees some 4th graders and they all have the comic he made. "But, can we have your autograph Mr. Lincoln?"
The white haired loud boy smiles. "Sure thing kids." He then has his pen and he signs their comics, they each fall in line and some of them ask if he plans to make another comic. This makes Lincoln chuckle. "Be patient little dudes, in time we'll see if Bill Buck likes the new comic I made, and no spoilers too."
Sam sees this and smiles. 'The kid sure knows how to handle kids. I can already see his future, with Jordan and starting a family. I do recall from Luna, he did became part of that 5th grade egg baby challenge. Dang, those are some memories I still recall, and do not wanna relive.'
She was part of that long ago, and she failed.
Later, they both walk out of the comic book store. Lincoln didn't really find anything of his interest and so they walk around the mall some more.
"That was nice of you to sign to the little kids" said Sam.
"What was I supposed to do? I can't say no to some fans" replied Lincoln. "They really do like the comic I made of, Ace Savvy and the Night Club."
Sam chuckles. "Just wait till they see the new comic you made, and yes your mom did tell me about it and I won't tell anyone, though it was a nice story in the new comic you made."
Lincoln chuckles. "And I give full credit to my mom for giving me the idea. She's always been such an inspiration."
Sam smirks. "Ain't she always? How about we go and get something to eat?" They see the food court and some new food kiosks are now open.
"Sure, I could use something to fill my stomach" said Lincoln. They both go over there and they do see some familiar faces going there and enjoying some food.
"Stay here kiddo, I'll go and get us both something." Sam leaves her bag with Lincoln at the table and she goes over to order them some food and she does run into Sully and Mazzy.
Lincoln then recalls the comic he made and then he looks to Sam who is in line and talking to her band mates. 'Hmm, what if I add Sam into the comic? But how do I do that? What could her powers be and what is her role?'
Just then, he gets some text messages and so he checks on them.
Jordan – Hey there Linc, the gals and I are at the park and enjoying some nice winter time, hope you're doing well hanging out with Sam today. Also, my mom is currently at her restaurant and talking to this lady who was once Lynn Sr's former middle school cooking teacher.
Lucy – Hi Lincoln. My family and I are coming back to Royal Woods, after some time spending with my uncle, and I heard about what was happening between you and Luna, and I hope she'll get well soon. See you when we get back Lincoln.
Clyde – Hey buddy, just wanted to check in if you're doing alright. Another thing for you to know, is that Mrs. Johnson still has this big surprise for everyone when she comes back to Royal Woods. I don't know what it's about and Principal Huggins isn't telling me either. He just said it's a big surprise.
Seeing Clyde's message was confusing Lincoln. 'Now what the heck is Mrs. Johnson up to?'
"Hey Linc, I got us something to eat." Sam comes back and she has some bacon wrapped hotdogs for them to try. "I decided to grab us the new kind of food the food court is now serving."
Lincoln takes his food. "Thanks Sam, also what are you and the family planning for the night of New Year's?"
Sam then drinks her soda after taking a bite from her food. "Well, as much fun as it would be to spend it with you and Lunes, I can't be able to join you both. My uncle is staying until the weekends and we're gonna be celebrating at my place. Hope this doesn't mean too much for ya."
Lincoln smiles. "No need Sam. I understand, and I know my mom will too. You need to spend some time with your family, and that's one thing mom and I know. We'll figure something out soon for our New Year's eve."
Sam smiles. "You're always such an understanding kid, even when things are rough or not hard to figure out, you always know how to understand and be patient."
They both continue to eat their food and enjoy each other's company. Then Lincoln gets another text and this one is from Ronnie Anne Santiago.
Ronnie Anne – Hey Lincoln. News for me and the familia, is that my dad is coming to Great Lakes City and stay with us for a while, which means I get to spend time with him. I was also wondering if you and the others plan to come by and visit us, Sid wants to know too. Also, I think I saw Lucy over by Officer Shapiro's house with her family there. Talk to you soon, Lincoln.
Lincoln smirks and he goes back to eating. "So, what else is on the agenda Sam?"
(A day with Sam montage.)
After eating, they both go and see if there are any clothes stores open and they do find one and this time Lincoln pays for the whole thing, and that place is called Gryphon's shopping and since almost everything is at a high price, they only buy one thing they have never bought before.
They soon leave the mall and go to the park, where they enjoy watching the folks they're having fun and see Mayor Davis with some construction workers setup a stage for the night of fireworks, now that is something they all look forward to.
They do go over to the nearest game store and see what else is new, there isn't much but Lincoln and Sam are shocked to see the poster for an upcoming game that is being developed called: The Ace and the Night Club. Lincoln needs to talk to Bill Buck about this one.
They go to High n' Buy and they buy some groceries that they might need for the Sharp House, and Sam also goes through a list she needs for when her uncle comes to stay with them, they are gonna have a lot to cook when the day of December 31 comes.
And to end the whole day, they both go to a food truck and order something to eat, which is Shawarma and they do meet up with Margo and the hockey team.
(End montage.)
The Sharp family van drives off and they head back to the Sharp House. "This day has been awesome Sam! Sure as heck, I am going to remember this one" said Lincoln.
Sam smiles. "Glad you liked it Linc, we never hang out much, but after today. I feel like we're bonded closer to how you and Luna bond as mother and son."
Lincoln smiles. "Thanks for this awesome day Sam and I do hope Mom is doing alright, I sure miss her. But, even though she is going through some issues, I know she'd be happy at how brave I am to accept being apart from her, I know she'll be back for me."
Sam smiles. "Always understanding." She then looks to her home and she sees a familiar purple Ferrari. "Linc, i think you'll get you're wish."
The Sharp family van goes to the driveway and Lincoln looks out the window and is wide eyed to see who else is there, his mom, Luna Loud and she looks happy to see them.
As soon as the family van stops, Lincoln opens the door. "Mom!" He then races towards her.
Luna smiles with tears in her eyes and she has her arms open. "Come here baby." They both embrace each other, and cry as they hug.
"Mom….. You're here! You came!" cried Lincoln.
Luna runs her hand through his hair and she continues to comfort him. "Yes…. I'm here. I'm fine now."
They both continue to hug each other and shed some tears. Sam sees this and also joins them. "Glad to have you back Lunes."
Luna hugs her as well. "Glad to be back Sammy, and thanks for keeping an eye on my…. Our boy."
Lincoln continues to cry and smile. "Mom…. You're back, you're here… Thanks goodness!"
Luna smiles and she kisses his forehead. "I told you I'd be back for you kiddo, and here I am now. I love you Lincoln."
"I love you too mom. Always!"
They all continue to stay in this group hug. Luna is back to her normal self, and she's back to being there for her son, Lincoln Loud.
A/N: Lincoln and Luna are back together again, and right after a day with Sam. They're family is together and both are inbound for some New Year's moments, but next chapter we're gonna see how the louds are doing. Leave a review and tell me what you all think.
