The night has come, the day is ready and everyone that the former louds have come to know and love, are gonna be looking forward to whatever the future has for all of them and I know all of you are ready for this too! Enjoy reading guys, and a Happy New Years to all of you.
Family of Two.
Chapter 140: A New Year to be Family.
(December 31, the Loud House.)
Time: 8:10 pm.
The house is looking quite ready as night has come, the food is made and the families joining in this are all talking about what the night will bring and for next month, er year as well.
At the couch and the arm chair, are Luna, the Rosato parents Rick and Jesse, the Sharp parents Reginald and Amy, and with them is Sam, Tristen and Elena D. Pingrey, Michelle Lewis and Harriet Willard.
"So, you guys plan on having that big Hawaiian vacation soon right? Have any thoughts on who would come with you and your son?" asked Tristen.
Luna chuckles as she drinks her soda. "We still haven't had any talks on how that could go down, but we can't guarantee that we can agree on the extra two who'll be tagging along. We need to settle down on how the whole vacation is gonna be with four folks."
"Even if I'm not gonna be part of it, it's fine by me Lunes" replied Sam. "I respect the choice you and Linc have come up with."
"And we'll keep an eye on the house while you and Lincoln go on and have some early Summer Vacation fin, because it's gonna feel like it" replied Harriet, she then looks to Michelle. "But we still have another crisis to deal with."
They all know what she means. "Right. The whole Lewis family reunion, now that is something that won't be an easy thing to come by or get through" said Rick.
Michelle sighs. "Yeah, I know. But, deep down, I can face this. I have the new family with me, and if they do start something, then sure as heck I am fighting back! They made this happen to me, to kick me out even when I wanted to come after my Hollywood life."
"They only wanna speak to me after the good I have done and how much of a mark of a name the Lewis has become, Lewis is my middle name and not the last name anymore. So, even if I am a Lewis to them, deep down, I am a Loud!"
They all clap at this and this makes Luna smile. "If Linc were here, he'd hug you and be proud at how you said those words."
Michelle chuckles. "Thanks." She then drinks her wine. "So, enough about me. What's the word on the other, er, former Louds?"
Luna then looks to her glass of soda. "They're doing well, even though they do wanna spend the night with us and show how much they still care, they wanna try and make the next change and that change is to spend the whole New Year's night and whatever future that we have in store, with those they can try and help out. I don't blame them, being in places where folks have almost the same issues as them, really does change their mental thoughts."
"Lynn Sr and Rita are both handling fine with them not planning to separate, and are doing what they can to work together and be better parents. They still can't take the loud last name though."
"Leni may be doing her best to help the people who have issues as she does, sort of. But, one thing she wants to look forward to, is when she walks away from the place and comes back home."
"Lori is planning to do what Leni does, though she has it differently and wants to see how the newcomer inmates feel and also do her part to keep an eye on how Linc and I have been doing."
"LJ, I think something I stirring up between her and her cellmate, something Sam and I have been through, which I never thought LJ was into that kinda romance."
"Lucy is doing well with herself, she did say she'll talk to her family on spending New Year's Eve with us next time."
"And as for Luan….. I honestly don't know. She seems to be doing well, and Linc and I have to see if the rumors are true, about Luan."
"We still have to figure out how to approach Lisa, we have a new thing coming and that thing was something I did not even think would come soon." Luna looks down with confusion. "The twins, they're back."
They all know about that news. Agnes Johnson has come back to Royal Woods, but this time she brought with her the kids she has adopted, the twins they all have known around town.
The Former beauty pageant queen, blackmailing in the color pink ways, Lola. Dragging Lincoln to all of her pageants and using the boy in the squirrel suit to make her opponents fail before they go on stage.
The Dumpster diving, animal loving and car to household tuning, Lana. The girl who fought gators, and brought Linc to one of her matches, which nearly costed his life, and all she cared about was how the squirrel suit was doing and not the boy inside who nearly got torn apart.
"Lunes, we know this is hard to see them, but just try and calm yourself down" said Amy. "We know it's hard to know that the twins are back, but just take the time to relax and see the whole thing through."
"We all understand that having to see them is rough and chances of forgiving them might be in the no go, but just give it time and see where it all leads" said Jesse.
"That's not the hot issue dudes" said Luna as she gets another soda. "Linc goes to school there, and the twins will as well. They're gonna be closer to him, and it might not go so well."
"Then count on Jordan and Lucy and the other friends he has to keep them at bay" said Michelle. She places a hand on Luna's shoulder. "The times just got good, but now are getting hard, but you and Lincoln can get through this and with the rest of us by your side, don't see this as an issue."
Sam scooches closer and places her hand onto Luna's shoulder. "Just see this as an obstacle to figure out, then see how you and Lincoln can pull through, I know you two can do it."
Luna smiles hearing this. "Thanks guys, I needed this and you dudes are right, we can pull through this. I just hope Linc is doing fine with the news though."
That's another thing they're all worried about, Lincoln and his memories of Lola and Lana, but mostly the memories of what he had to endure with them, through the summer of the No Such Luck fiasco.
But upstairs and in the bedroom shared by Lincoln and Luna: That's where the kids are, having fun together. Lincoln, Jordan, Simon and Lily.
Lincoln is shocked, which Jordan and Simon know. "Lincoln?" asked Simon. "Are you feeling okay?"
Lincoln sighs. "I….. I don't know anymore, I mean things were going good and great that we have a plan to talk to Lisa, but now it's gonna be complicated, knowing that the twins are here in Royal Woods."
Jordan sits close to him, she recalls that Jenny told them about this news of Mrs. Johnson and coming back to Royal Woods, with the former twin sisters of Lincoln and Luna.
"Lincoln, I know this all seems so much to take in and it makes things harder to get by, but recall that from every situation you and your mom have been through, you both can manage to handle this situation. The memories of the past….. Don't let them get to you, just look forward to what you can do in the future, and with everyone by your side."
Simon also nods. "But mostly, you're mom. She has you're back and so do we Lincoln."
Lincoln smiles hearing this, from his girlfriend and from his little brother figure, then Lily walks towards him and hugs Lincoln. "Wincoln, Woona, together and wuv each other."
Lincoln smiles hearing this and he hugs Lily. "Thanks Lily, I needed this." He then looks to Jordan and Simon. "Thanks guys, I needed this talk, and you're all right."
He then departs from the hug with the two year old baby. "Even though things are not gonna go to what mom and I expected, we can still find a way to pull through. I had to endure so much, including when the family was separated for good. But, I know we can all manage to pull through and seek out what we all need to find."
"And what we all need to find, is giving each other a second chance and to the rest, to find the path to redemption, even to those who may have lost their sanity." Lincoln recalls what his mother talked about, about Luan and her mind starting to turn stable, but undergoing some new depressive mind.
"We can all pull through this, all of us." Jordan holds his hand and she kisses his cheek. "You and Luna are not along when the new year begins, and the future that we all seek."
Lincoln feels motivated by this, then he heats his mom calling them. "Kids! The cake is ready!"
They all get up and head downstairs, Lincoln then gets a message from Ronnie Anne and another from Lucy.
Ronnie Anne – Hey dude, we're getting ready for whatever Sid and her family have to show for an awesome fireworks display and they seem to have brought way too much fireworks. So, we're gonna move the whole party to the park. I hope you guys are having an awesome time. Talk to you when the next month begins Lincoln.
Lucy – We're having a nice moment here at the Shapiro house, and Maggie and I will be a bit saddened when we have to say goodbye to dad soon, but we'll make these last moments all worth it. Also, Haiku said Hi. See you when the next year is upon us, also I hope we can handle school with the twins being back.
Lincoln smiles seeing this. He's not the only one going through some times for next month and now he knows he can handle the arrival of two former louds.
(Hours later.)
Time: 11:55 pm.
The time is nearing and the folks at the Loud House all come out and sit by the front yard and wait for the night sky to be brightened by the fireworks that will arrive.
Sam and Simon sit close to each other by the steps of the house and Michelle goes over and hands them some donuts and chocolate milk.
The rest of the parents talk to each other, and Rick and Jesse sit by the porch swing with their daughter Jordan talking about what she plans for next month and how she looks forward to the next Sadie Hawkins Dance at the elementary school.
Lily is… asleep, she along with her parents are still in the house and are going to be looking through the dining room window. Lily tuckered herself out a little too early, she is young and her staying up is not an easy task to do. Harriet is with them as well.
As for Lincoln and Luna, the mother and son duo are underneath the shade of the tree and both of them sitting close to each other and waiting for the night sky to brighten up.
Lincoln then looks to his mom. "Hey mom."
Luna looks to her son. "Yeah, Linc?"
"We're gonna pull through again, right?" asked Lincoln. "Even with so much changing with obstacle in our way, we're gonna make it through like we did for the past many months, right mom?"
Luna pulls Lincoln close to her and she kisses his forehead and then his left cheek. "We are sweetie, like we always do. We're both gonna make it through the next year and with those we call friends and family. I know we can make it, all of us. Have a little fate and trust kiddo."
Lincoln then hugs Luna. "I love you mom, I want you to know that."
Luna hugs him back. "I know kiddo, and I love you too. Always and always my wayward son."
They then begin to hear Michelle call out to all of them. "Guys, it's almost time!" She checked the notification on her phone and there is a social media countdown for the folks in Michigan and so they all chant out.
"Ten…. Nine….. Eight….. Seven….. Six….. Five….. Four….. Three….. Two….. One!"
Two large fireworks are launched into the sky and then collide and ignite into a large star shaped lights show. "Happy New Year!"
Noise is made and everyone cheers as this night and month has come to a close and the New Year has arrived.
Lincoln sighs and leans onto his moms' shoulder. "Happy New Year mom."
Luna leans her head onto his, and she runs her hand through his white hair. "Happy New Year son."
They then sit back, and watch as two fireworks blow up into the sky and make a dazzling light show of purple and orange. This is truly, the best of the first night for them to celebrate the New Year, as mother and son.
(Let's see how the others are doing.)
Lucy and Maggie, along with their mom and dad and the family of Haiku watch the night sky with the fireworks and even though this seems like not they're thing, it does make them feel happy.
To Lucy, it makes her happy to know that the future is going to be one she looks forward too. 'Whatever happens Lincoln, we can go through it all and I will have your back, always.'
Agnes Johnson at her house, cheers with her two daughters as they watch the fireworks and have sparkler sticks and they cheer for this night of awesomeness and amazing shows.
Hops is even happy and cheers as well.
Agnes then looks to Lola and Lana. "Happy New Year's Eve my girls."
Lola and Lana smile and they hug her. "Happy New Year's Eve, mom."
They all then look towards the sky and point out to the pretty and amazing lights the night has to offer.
But deep down, Lola and Lana are more excited to see how they can be able to make it up, to Lincoln and Luna Loud. They both cheer and smile seeing the orange and purple lights.
At the Helmandollar house, Lisa and Darcy and their big sister Teri and they're parents all look to the sky and cheer and make some nice with the instruments they have.
Lisa looks around and she smiles. She sees her parents sharing a kiss, Teri and Darcy using trumpets to make some noise and then she sees Clyde and Chloe go to her and hand her some cookies to enjoy.
Lisa takes some and smiles at how this night for the Helmandollar family, is sharing it with the McBride's and the Curda's.
Through this Lisa can now see. 'Perhaps this can be a good start, to make amends with Lincoln and Luna. Oh, and also Lucy, and to the others should they come back.'
She then watches the sky light up and she smiles seeing orange and purple fireworks go off.
Lori and the rest of the inmates at the Royal Woods Juvenile Detention Hall cheer and the warden drops the beat, since she is on the DJ and they all celebrate and dance for the new year and what they can all do to make up for the actions of being there.
Even the guards are dancing at their watch posts and also signing some songs.
Lori chuckles seeing this and she looks to the sky and the she sees the purple and orange lights igniting. 'Lincoln…. Luna, everyone… Happy New Year, and I hope to see you all, soon.'
Leni is on the roof top with the staff and she cheers alongside them, they made sure the patients with issues of bright lights, loud noises and fireworks are asleep and don't know about this or they'd freak out.
Leni is happy and she enjoys the fireworks this town has to offer, and she smiles seeing her friends there all enjoying this night.
She then sighs and looks to the sky one more time. 'Well, time to hit the hay early. I got a lot to do tomorrow and we all have to make up for everything we have to do, to be part of society once more.'
Leni walks back down the stairs and then she recalls Luna and Lincoln and smiles. 'Soon guys, I'll be back home to Royal Woods.'
Luan is in her room and she smiles at the nice pretty lights that the city is showing, she just smiles and chuckles to herself.
"Well, looks like it's time to see how the new year and month can go well for me. I hope the others are fine."
She then closes her curtains and she lays down onto her bed and she closes her eyes. 'Lincoln, Luna. I hope you guys do come by and see me, I have so much to regret and tell you both.'
As she sleeps, the spirit in the room known as the Nurse watches her and will continue to do so, till Luan has been cured of her mental state. She is also cautious. What would happen if she does see Lincoln and Luna again? Will she be okay and change to someone better, or will her insane state come back and try to take over?
Lynn Sr and Rita smile and both watch with some inmates at the courtyard at the sky being lit on fire.
"Happy New Year Lynn" said Rita.
"Happy New Year Rita" said Lynn Sr.
They then share a passionate kiss as the sky is lit with lights, the issue is that Gerald is passed out, he sure can sleep through a loud noise.
Lynn Sr and Rita then break away from the kiss and they look to the sky once more, both of them thinking of how the kids are doing, with their New Year's Eve.
As the night sky is lit up with an amazing display of fireworks, Lynn and Annabelle both watch from their cell and smile, then Lynn looks to the hand of her cellmate and she holds it, and then intertwines her fingers with hers.
Annabelle is shocked by this and she looks to Lynn, she smiles at her and both come closer, and they end up with a small kiss and then break away.
"So, what does this mean for the both of us?" asked Annabelle nervously.
"Honestly, I don't know. I did have a plan to tell you how I feel, but now I don't even know how to say it to you. I just went all in" replied Lynn.
Annabelle smirks. "I was planning the same…. So, you wanna see where we can go through with this?"
Lynn smirks and kisses her cheek. "Yeah, I'd like that." They both continue to sit and watch as the fireworks goes off from outside of their cell, and all hoping for the rest to be having the same awesome night of lights and new look to whatever the future holds for all of them.
Goodbye 2020, and hello 2021. Happy New Year to everyone, reading this story.
A/N: This is a night that would mark the start of whatever the future holds for them all, but they can get through them and learn how to find more ways to seek redemption. But, we are all gonna be looking forward to the big Lewis Family reunion and the five day stay on Honolulu, Hawaii between Lincoln, Luna and two other's they're gonna be bringing with them.
I know some of you have got some ideas for future chapters, and I look forward to seeing them all. But, I cannot guarantee that some will be made possible, and as always, leave a review and tell me what you all think.
