Family of Two.

Chapter 142: Scarred from a teethy past.

( January 3. The Loud House.)

Michelle is making pancakes, and as soon as she finishes and places them onto the plate and brings them to the dining room, she goes over to the chair and sits down and she looks sad.

Harriet goes to her and places a hand on her shoulder. "I don't……. I don't even know what to do."

Harriet sighs. " I understand you Michelle, I mean last night…… That was, I don't think he has a nightmare, I think that was something far worse than common nightmare. Did you see those small bites marks on him?"

Michelle wipes away some tears. "I….. How? Those bite marks, they can't be real." She then looks to the ghost. "Was there anything from your books about that shit?"

Harriet recalls. " Yes, that is a powerful form of a night terror, but it shouldn't have existed in our world, I mean most folks have that feeling that what they dream felt real, and would be in real life. But after what happened with Lincoln, it should not have been possible."

Michelle then wipes away more of her tears. "Are you…. Are you going to t-talk to that guardian person?"

Harriet nods. " I shall and I will, soon. Possibly he might have the answers, but I fear I might not like them."

Michelle then sighs. "And this all started when those twins came back, when he saw….. Lana. I mean, I don't….. I couldn't imagine what Lincoln had been through! Being dragged to some alligator wrestling thing? Lana is 6 year's old! Why is she even allowed to do that?!"

" That was the choice from Lynn Sr and Rita, they saw her talent and she asked them and even begged them and they let her. She could've been killed, and yet she fought back and won more contests in them, and then came that unacceptable bad luck incident and things went bad real fast."

She recalls when Lincoln was attacked by the large gator, and she couldn't do anything because her anger and powers weren't strong enough, and all she could do was watch as Lincoln was nearly torn apart, if it wasn't for that suit, then he would've been slaughtered.

Michelle was told about this, heck she even heard about it and it shook her to the core. Lincoln is her nephew now and she doesn't wanna lose him again, and just thinking of that alligator coming at the boy, was enough to make her feel like he needs to be kept safe.

Michelle wipes away her tears again, and then realizes something. "Harriet, do you think Lincoln will get a new kind of fear?"

Harriet knows this is true. " A fear of Alligators? That is a possibility, but that phobia will be triggered, by the sight of Lana. This could be bad, considering he has to go to school tomorrow."

They both recall, the situation from last night and can only hope Lincoln will be fine.

( Upstairs.)

At the bed room of Lincoln and Luna. The teen mother looks to her white haired 12-year old son and sees him still clinging to her, and she looks to his new purple pajamas, and the mess of the room as well.

Last night was a total nightmare for Lincoln, but also a chaotic panic for everyone.

She recalls it as clear as day. Her son waking up in the middle of the night and screaming in pain, and then crying.

Michelle and Harriet coming into the room and they all go over and wake up Lincoln, but as they do so he had blood stains on his left side.

They removed his shirt and saw some bite marks growing and some blood seeping. Thank god there's a large first aid kid in Luna's closet and they woke Lincoln up.

When he woke up, his injury stopped getting deep and they tended to his wounds. He was afraid to sleep after that, and he tells them his nightmare.

The nightmare where Lana continues to wrestle the alligator and laughs at how fun it was, without giving a care about Lincoln, whose squirrel suit was breaking and the jaws of the large beast breaking the costume and the teeth piercing his left side and causing so much pain.

Luna and Lincoln along with Michelle stayed awake for the next two hours, until Luna calmed him down and he went back to sleep, and this time he did not panic and freak out and no more bite marks.

They all went back to sleep, but were all shaken at what had happened, heck even Mr. Grouse and Detective Merris knocked on their door and asked them what was the noise and so Harriet told them, and that shakes them to the core. She was telling the truth, and they couldn't believe it.

But to Mr. Grouse, he said he had has these before, when he was 12 and had this small injury of claw marks, from a nightmare of a cat attacking him.

Right now: Luna just look to Lincoln and she strokes aside his hair and she kisses his forehead and she hugs him tightly. "Lincoln…… I'm sorry, I didn't know what to do. But I promise we're gonna fix this."

Lincoln opens his eyes and sees he's on his right side and hugging his mom who looks onto him. "Morning, are you feeling okay?"

Lincoln then looks to his left side and feels this pain, he uncovers his purple pajama shirt and he sees the bandaging and is upset. "M-Mom, what the heck is h-happening?"

Luna and Lincoln sit up and she hugs him. "There, there. Everything's okay now. That's not happening again, this time or until it's all over, I'm not leaving your side at night."

Lincoln hugs her back and he sheds some tears and cries into her shirt. Lincoln's scarring memory had to be the one with the large reptile.

I mean, it does sound terrifying to have that oversized beast coming at you, and you're stuck in a squirrel suit with no means to fight back.

Luna then realized something. ' School is gonna start tomorrow, we have to go back to school. Shit! The twins are gonna be there!'

( Later.)

Luna and Lincoln walk down the stairs, both are dressed for the day, and Luna had to help take him a bath since she couldn't bear to see him break down at the thought of an alligator.

As they walk down the stairs, Lincoln is holding her hand, and then they see Detective Sandra Merris talking to Michelle Lewis and Harriet at the living room. Luna can tell she was needed. "Linc, go and eat your breakfast, I'll be with you soon."

Lincoln nods and he goes to the dining room and eats his pancakes.

Luna goes to the living room and she looks to the officer. "So, what's the deal here?"

Merris sighs. "After what Michelle and Harriet told me, I went to talk to Agnes Johnson today."

Hearing that raised some alarms in Luna's head. "And, what did she say?"

"Okay, so I told her about this issue that Lincoln had and it was scarring, and so I told her that the twins had to avoid any means of contact or interaction or even be seen by your son, or he'd undergo an unstable breakdown, which could be a total cluster for everyone to see and would make a scene."

"And the last thing we want, are the adopted twins of Agnes Johnson to be outcasted by the very cause of his breakdown."

Luna sighs, she knows it's wrong for Lola and Lana to be outcasted should everyone see Lincoln break down into a mess, the other kids would see them as the reason why this boy won't be the same again.

"Yeah, that does sound like a good idea. I'll also tell…."

"I can handle this." They all see Lincoln looking at them.

"Linc, I told you to go and eat your breakfast" said Luna.

"Mom, please. Guys, I know that what happened…… last night was, something I didn't see coming and something I never ever wanna go through again, and if you told Mrs. Johnson about this, and what to do with the twins. Then….. I'll try my best to avoid them too, so that they won't lose the trust they try to regain from their friends" replied Lincoln.

"They just came back home to town, and have been adopted by my teacher and I know she's doing this to help them, and it'll be some time before they can gain my forgiveness and trust and so I'll let them take their time, all the while we keep our distances and if I can recall, Lucy and Lisa have our backs and so does everyone else."

They all smile hearing and seeing this. Lincoln doesn't want to make the twins in trouble and make them look like bad kids, which means deep down he wants to try and forgive them soon. So who knows what that will be, but this is a good start.

Luna smiles and she kneels down to her son. "That's brave of you kiddo, and I'll accept this choice you have, as long as it keeps you from losing yourself and I know you have a plan, you always do."

"I'll be sure to inform your friends too" said Michelle. "They'll do their part and I know they'll understand and if they don't. Then I know Jordan and Clyde will make them understand."

Harriet puts her phone away. " I have texted Lucy, and she said she'll do whatever she can to help out."

Merris smiles. "Very well then, I am gonna go and inform this to Principal Huggins, to make sure that there won't be anyone breaking down in his school. Chances he'll be on the watch for the whole thing."

Lincoln smiles. "Thanks guys, for having my back and…." He looks to his left side. "I hope I can get over this, also mom. I don't think I wanna see some of the other family for a while, not until I feel like it."

Luna then strokes his hair. "Okay Lincoln, okay." She then hugs him and he hugs her.

( Hours Later.)

Breakfast is done, Michelle is at work and Merris is off to inform the school.

Lincoln and Luna are in the backyard and on the hammock together and looking to the sky, close to each other and feeling comfortable with the presence of the other.

"Mom." Luna looks down to her son. "I….. I was scared."

Luna then hugs him close to her. "I know, I know you were and so was i. I didn't wanna lose you, not again."

Lincoln hugs her back and he hides his face in her shirt and begins to shed a few tears, but not enough to cry and Luna does what she can to comfort him.

He then pulls away and looks to her. "When….. When the time c-comes, I….. We have to-to tell the others."

Luna kisses his forehead and she continues to hug her son. "I get it kiddo, I understand and we'll go and tell the other fam, soon. Not now and not tomorrow, but soon. Calm down Linc, I'm here now and we're okay."

Lincoln feels safe in the arms of Luna and he calms down. "Thank you, mom. I love you."

Luna smiles and she kisses his forehead. "Mom loves you too Linc, always my child, always."

Harriet watches this from the window of her room and she's not alone. " See what I mean?"

Gyro also looks out the window. "Hmm, this is a troubling revelation. I think I know someone who might help, but I have to make one deep and shady deal. We'll speak again, soon." He then opens a portal and goes through it.

Harriet sighs and she looks out the window. ' That man had better not have any demons help fix this.'

( Johnson House.)

At the house of Agnes Johnson, she watches as Lola and Lana blow out the candles to their birthday cake. "Happy birthday Lola and Lana!"

The cake is a strawberry and chocolate cake, and it's the shape of a heart but one side is blue and the other is pink and the twins were okay with this.

The issue is, there are no friends there to celebrate with them, besides Hops. Agnes Johnson then let's them slice he cake and they each get a slice and look to each other.

"Happy Birthday Lana."

"Happy Birthday Lola."

Then Agnes hands them some presents she had for the twins and they open them and smile at what they're mom got them.

For Lola, it was a teddy bear colored pink and wearing a ballerina outfit.

For Lana, it was a plush lizard with a wrench in the right hand wearing overalls.

They then go to Agnes and hug her. "We love it mom! Thank you!"

Agnes smiles and hugs them back. "You're welcome you two, I thought you'd appreciate them." She then looks to them with concern. "Girls, today I was visited by a….. An officer."

Hearing that was not what they wanted to hear, but they had to know what was going on.

"Now, we know school is gonna be tomorrow and I want you both to be on your best behavior and….. Do not interact with my student, Lincoln Loud. Understand?"

They were both confused. "But mom, why?" asked Lana.

Agnes recalls what Detective StoneHeart told her. "Girls, something happened last night and it may have permanently scarred Lincoln, something from a bad memory from summer and that's why I want you both to leave him be when you see him and don't let him see you, or he might lose himself and breakdown into a mess."

Lana and Lola are shocked. Something happened to Lincoln and now they believe, it had something to do with them.

They don't plan to get into any trouble, and they wanna try and see if they have their friends with them. "Okay mommy, we'll steer clear of him" said Lola.

"We promise we won't talk, or interact or do anything. We promise mom" said Lana.

Agnes Johnson smiles and hugs them both. "That's all I needed to hear my girls." They then break from the hug. "Now come on, let's enjoy this cake, and quick before he eats it all."

They spot Hops is full and ate 25 percent of the cake. How?!

They all go over and enjoy what's left, but the twins are both concerned. ' How are we gonna make it up to Linky now?'

That is something, they both have to figure out.

A/N: Well, happy birthday Lola and Lana. Let's hope the next day won't be too hard for Lincoln, and the Johnson Twins. Leave a review and tell me what you all think.
