Now, this is an episode that is based off of the episode from Season 4, only without the zombie marathon thing from Lincoln and Clyde. Enjoy reading guys.
Family of Two.
Chapter 149: A dangerously stormy night.
( January 9. The Loud House, Nighttime.)
After an awesome day with Sam. Lincoln and Luna are now back home and have finished dinner alongside Michelle Lewis and are all dressed in their sleepwear and they make their way to the living room. "Okay dudes. So, tonight is the Saturday night movie family time, what are we looking forward to tonight?" asked Luna.
Michelle has a bowl of popcorn and they have some sodas ready. "What are our options to watch?"
Lincoln goes through the channels. He does see the marathon on the movie he watched with Clyde called: " Swarm of the Zombies: Part 1 - 5 "
"Looks like that movie is on a marathon, but I am not planning to pull an all-nighter. Let's see what else we can watch?" He goes through the channels and search something they can watch. "Here's one, sure December may be over, but this is still a good movie."
The movie is called. " The Polar Express. "
"Now that sounds like an okay movie to me, let's watch it" said Michelle.
Luna smiles. "Looks like we're gonna be enjoying a late December film. Let's watch it." She sits on the couch with her son, and they watch as the movie begins after the showing of the trailer to the upcoming movie next year called: " Monster Hunter ."
They then see someone walk down the stairs and it's Great Grandma Harriet. "Hey Harriet, wanna watch with us?" asked Michelle.
The ghost looks to them. " As fun it would be to spend the night with the rest of you, I'll have to pass. I need to get somewhere and meet up with someone. I'll be back soon, possibly tomorrow. So, try to hold your own while I'm gone."
She then gets ready to leave. " Have a nice night everyone, and stay safe."
"You too Harriet." They all go back to watching the movie and also enjoying the popcorn and soda.
Luna notices Lincoln leaning onto her shoulder and so she pulls him close to her. ' Looks like Linc is still feeling the good vibes after the day with Sam joining in the fun, can't blame him on that one.'
Then Luna recalls something. ' I hope that Guardian dude got the message. I really gotta talk to him when he comes here, and also let Sam in as well. Those dreams, are they even dreams or something else?' She then goes back to watching the movie with Lincoln and Michelle.
Michelle on the other hand has something else in her mind. ' We're almost there. Soon, we're all going to that damn reunion that I don't wanna be part of, but I don't think I have a choice. Which means Harriet and I have to make sure Lincoln and Luna don't get hurt. I am not letting my family get harmed.'
Lincoln on the other hand has something else in his thoughts. ' I hope the others are doing fine, we have to go and check on Lori and Leni.'
( Hours later.)
Luna awakens from the sound of a big thunder crash, she then looks around and sees where they are. "What the heck?" The TV is still on, and the cable has gone static.
She sees the popcorn is all run out and Lincoln and Michelle are fast asleep. Luna then recalls what they did. ' Well, we should get some sleep. Wait, did we even see the ending of the film?' But before she could do anything to turn off the TV, she sees an announcement is on.
The announcement looks like it's from, Mayor Davis.
" Attention to all citizens of Royal Woods. This is Mayor Davis, a huge storm has unexpectedly formed above our town, and the weather station says this storm is a big one. If anyone is hearing this, I urge you to look for the nearest shelter or safe room or anything that can keep you safe and well-supplied, if you do not or can't find one, then go to the Royal Woods mall. We have generators and enough supplies to wait out the storm."
The TV then goes back to static and Luna's eyes are wide. "Wait, what the heck did she just say?" asked Michelle. She's awake!
"M-Mom?" Luna sees her son's scared face. "Look!" They all look out the window and see the large dark clouds above and it sends a bolt of lightning and it hits someplace far.
"Storm shelter, now!" said Luna. They grab their phones and anything they need, and they head out to the storm shelter. They can hear some loud clanging and banging on the roof, which means the winds are getting stronger and more dangerous.
They all follow Luna towards the basement and look around. "Where the heck is the storm shelter?!" asked Michelle.
Luna goes to some boxes and she pushes them away and they see this metal door. She then opens the locks and the vault wheel and the door opens. "Get it, hurry!"
They all get inside. Michelle flips the light switch and she and Lincoln are wide eyed at what they see.
The Storm shelter is pretty big, like from the living room, to the dining room big. There's some generators that are FutureTech built, tons of canned food that can last for a long time, some weapons for melee and range combat, a map of the country and the town and all of Michigan, a radio, walkie-talkies and other essentials for survival. There are even three large beds.
"This isn't a storm shelter, this thing is a freaking apocalypse bunker!" said Michelle.
Luna the closes the door and she shuts it. She then takes a moment to catch her breath and then Lincoln goes to her. "Are you okay, mom?"
Luna goes to the seat on one of the large beds and she calms down. "Sorry, but I'm a bit tired out from what we did and dang I knew this place would come in handy."
Michelle then hands her one of the bottled waters. "Here, you're gonna need this."
"Thanks dude" replied Luna. She then takes a drink and sees the confused and yet concerned looks from Lincoln and Michelle. "Come on guys, we can try and keep warm."
They go over and sit on the bed next to Luna. "When was this made, mom? Because I don't think you even told me about this" said Lincoln.
"Yeah, I have been helping with the laundry in the bathroom and I have never even seen the door here or even was told about this" said Michelle.
Luna sighs. "Sorry guys, I guess I needed to know when we can use this and kinda forgot about this big thing. There are others who know, and even Sam." She then looks to Lincoln. "Yo answer the question you have kiddo, this was built when we went to visit Leni for the first time, and the Rosato's told me to come to the basement and then they showed me this thing."
"They have one too, and they wanted us to be safe for when something like a tornado or storm hits."
"Tornado or Storm? Luna, this looks like a shelter for an apocalypse" said Michelle.
Luna smirks. "It does doesn't it. This place can keep a person sustained for a year or two, and depends on everyone's diet and needs. I just hope the house above is holding strong."
Lincoln then hugs Luna. "Mom, what's gonna happen after the storm hits? Weill the house even be there?"
Luna hugs him back, and kisses his forehead. "We can only hope kiddo, but recall that the old girl was renovated and made a new, including with those upgrades to FutureTech, and I don't know what are those advanced tech upgrades they added."
Michelle then looks around and she grabs a large blanket and brings it back to the bed. "Here, we can all stay warm as we wait out the storm. Also, there won't be any floods in the basement, right?"
Luna thinks about this. "Not sure dude, let's hope there isn't. This place was built to hold out from something bad, but I'm not sure about floods and other small disasters."
Lincoln then hugs tightly to Luna and closes his eyes. "I hope the others are doing fine, I don't know what I'd do if something bad happens to Jordan, or Clyde or everyone else, and Lori is still at the Royal Woods Detention hall."
Michelle rubs his hair and also hugs them. "Lori's gonna be fine, the juvenile hall could hold up since it kinda looks like a fortress."
Luna then hugs both of them and they all close their eyes and wait out the storm. But all of them were worried about Harriet. She's still out there, and she said she won't be back until later. But then they realize something. ' Right, she's a ghost. She can survive a storm and walk into the eye unharmed and unscarred.'
They then lay down onto the large bed and snuggle close. They can't hear anything from outside due to the place having such strong walls. Luna looks to Michelle who is fast asleep and then she sees Lincoln and his worried look.
"Linc, don't worry. The house can hold, just get some sleep kiddo."
Lincoln snuggles close to Luna and closes his eyes, she can tell that all of this is becoming troubling and scary for her kid. Sure they went through with the tornado when it struck their house back when they were one big family, but this is a storm and a big one. Luna hopes their house can hold.
( Hours later.)
The door of the safe room opens, and walking out are Lincoln, Luna and Michelle. They see that the basement is untouched, but the window of the basement is blocked by something from the outside.
They all look around the place. "Well, no flood, so that's a good sign" said Michelle.
They all head upstairs and check out the state of everything else. They notice the kitchen looks fine and Lincoln looks out the backyard. "Whoa!"
They also look outside and see some leaves, small branches and a ruined birds nest there in the backyard, they do see the hammock ruined and on the ground and the shed door open due to a tree branch that smashed onto the lock.
"Well, that can be fixed" said Michelle. "Let's check out the rest of the place."
They go throughout the house for any signs of damage. The dining room is fine, but the windows outside are covered in leaves, and the living room seems okay, though some leaves have blocked the window there too, and some leaves are by the chimney.
Lincoln and Luna check upstairs and no harm is done to the rooms and the bathroom and linen closet, while Michelle sees some leaks in the attic, but not enough to flood the place, which means some of the roof tiles need to be fixed or replaced.
But the real results, is the outside and so they all head outside and see the whole neighborhood looks fine, though the Yates house has a tree branch on their roof, but no damage done.
There are tons of leaves everywhere, some garbage scattered, the tree has lost some tree branches and one of them has blocked the basement window, the tire swing is missing and some trees in the neighborhood have fallen over.
The garage isn't doing so well, the front door has been smashes by a tree branch, so Luna goes in through the other door and she sees that both cars are fine and inches from being hit by the smashed door, but the tools in the place have all fallen off the shelves and a tool box has fallen over.
"Well, the cars are fine, but dang! This place is a mess" said Luna. "And Mr. Grouse's mailbox is on the other side of the road." They see his mailbox is on the other side of the road.
"The town has so much cleaning, we have to help them" said Michelle.
"She's right, we also need to know if our friends are doing fine" said Lincoln.
They then get some text messages from their friends.
Clyde – Lincoln, my dad's and I took refuge in the mall. A lot of our friends are here too, I hope you and your family are fine, also because of this, I think I'm gonna have to bail on space camp this Saturday.
Jordan – We're doing fine Lincoln. The mansion has a safe room and I know you guys used yours, and I hope your home is doing alright. We'll talk when we finish cleaning the neighborhood and our home is doing fine, can't say much about the next door neighbor's home though.
Sam – Hey babe, I hope you and Linc are okay. We took refuge in our storm shelter and are doing alright. Our house took some damage through the windows, but all-in-all, we're fine. Talk to you soon, and I hope the safe room held out, as well as your home.
Fiona – Michelle, we're here at the mall and the whole place nearly took some heavy damage when some tree branches almost smashed the windows. We might not be having any work for a while, and I hope you and the others are doing okay. Talk to you soon Michelle.
Lincoln, Luna and Michelle look around the neighborhood. "Well, looks like there's a whole lot to do around here" said Luna.
"Then let's get cleaned up, and then help clean up everything else" said Michelle.
They all head back inside and get themselves ready for the day, they have a lot of folks to help out.
A car arrives and coming out is Mr. Grouse. "Heh, not so bad." Then he sees something. "Where the heck is my mailbox?"
