Family of Two.

Chapter 152: Lisa Helmandollar.

( Ketcham Park.)

Lisa Helmandollar, the former loud prodigy to the family that was once loud and proud is in the park and walking with her sister's, Darcy and Teri. The school day is done and now they can enjoy some fun.

Lisa looks around and sees some kids she has seen and known go around their own business.

Winston and Skippy are both playing by the flowery meadows and catching grasshoppers.

Rusty and Polly are roller-skating and then get joined in by Lance, Joy, Trent and Kat.

Clyde and Chloe are both near the fountain and talking together about something.

Sully and Mazzy are by the picnic benches far from them and making some lyrics to a song they wanna show to Luna and Sam soon.

Lucy and the Writing Club, with Lucy's mom are by the pond and are looking around for some inspiration on what to write for some poetry.

She also spots Lola and Lana by the sandbox and making some sandcastles as Agnes Johnson is by the bench nearby and reading a romance novel, again.

Then she sees Jordan roller skating, and she's helping someone with her new roller skates and that someone is Michelle Lewis Loud and she is struggling, literally struggling.

Lisa then realizes something, when she was Michelle it was a clear and visible sign for her. "Something seems very off about this whole ordeal, what are we doing here? Because I know this has nothing to do with Darcy and myself playing in the sandbox or the slide."

Teri and Darcy look to each other and nod. "Okay, Lisa we came here because they wanna hear you out." Teri points to two folks who wave at them and are by the bench under a tree. Who are they? The mother and son of the loud family; Lincoln and Luna.

The sight of them makes Lisa's eyes go wide and shocked. "Oh dear, so….. This is it, I guess."

Darcy holds her hand. "Come on Lisa. You can't avoid them forever, they're your former family and they wanna know what you have to say and I know they will listen to you. You did help them twice, remember?"

Lisa nods. "Yes, yes. I am aware of when I helped stop that Ludacris of a science woman from violating and kidnapping them and when I helped establish the plans to keep Lincoln away from the twins."

Lisa thinks about this. "Perhaps you're both right, I should talk to them now. Even though I have not come up with how to spark what I wish for them to know how I feel, all I can do is just think and feel through my heard and not through my brain."

Teri smiles hearing this. "That's using your noodle for a good purpose, Lisa. Go on, Darcy and I will be by the playground."

Darcy then hugs Lisa. "You got this sis, we know you can talk to them."

Lisa smiles and she hugs her sister. "Thank you for the confidence Darcy." They then depart from the hug and Lisa watches as Darcy and Teri head to the playground and Lisa looks to Lincoln and Luna and she walks towards them.

But as she takes a step closer and closer, she has so many things going on in her head.

' Alright Lisa. This is it, you are about to have a conversation with the folks you once called siblings, but it's not to worry. I can do this, I can do this. Oh, by the love of all things geographical and beyond my comprehension! Why now?!'

She's not facing Lincoln and Luna. "Hello."

"Hi Lis, you wanna sit with us?" asked Lincoln as he scooches away from his mom to let Lisa sit between them.

Lisa sighs. "Yes, I would." She goes over and sits on the bench, she's not sitting next to Lincoln and Luna, the former siblings she once knew and she hasn't done this in a long, long time.

' Come on Lisa! Sure you're not a loud anymore, but I can still be brave and my true self as I was….. Wait, don't be my true self! I was a heartless and emotionless robot of a girl back then, be a new Lisa, but not too much in the new like last time. I can make this work, I can talk to them.'

Lincoln and Luna see Lisa's eyes switching between angry, worried and happy and this has them confused. ' Is she okay?'

Luna then speaks. "Yo, Lis. You feeling alright there little dude?"

Lisa snaps out of it and she sees the confused looks from Lincoln and Luna. "Was I showing some odd signs of behavior from my facial expressions?"

"When you mean by making odd eye movement? Yeah, pretty much" replied Lincoln. "Are you doing alright? You don't seem calm and chill, Lisa."

Lisa sighs and she straightens her glasses. "Forgive me, I'm having a hard time trying to speak my mind and it's becoming quite hard trying to tell you about what my inner thoughts are trying to comprehend."

Lincoln and Luna can tell, that Lisa is having a hard time trying to talk. "Lisa, we get it and we understand. Just, say what's on your mind" said Luna.

Hearing that, was enough to give Lisa some courage. "Very well. I just wish to say that, through my life of being the child prodigy, I thought I wouldn't benefit anything from my family and would only seek the functions and tasks of who I am and what I could be."

"I always thought I was superior and above the leagues of anyone in town, because I seem to be the only one with the high point I.Q than the simple college teacher." Lisa then feels tense. "But then, it all came down and I saw things clearly after…… After what we have been through."

Lincoln and Luna can tell that this is about to spiral into something else, something they both know.

Lincoln tries to place a hand on her shoulder. "Lisa, it's okay. You don't have to…."

But Lisa slaps it away. "No." She then sees the surprised look from Lincoln and Luna. "Forgive me, I just….. I don't deserve any kind of act of comfort from you and Luna. I thought that what I did all those many months ago last year, was the right thing. But it was not and I let my bitter quest and love for science blind me and not let me see what my true 4-year old self wanted me to see."

"And what I did not see, was that the family matters and cares for each other, and that we do not leave anyone behind to be left to die and perish. I let you down, both of you and to the rest of the family as well. I fell for the lie, even though you started it, I should've seen through it, but I let the 4-year old judgment with the scientific facts of myself get the best of me."

Lisa wipes some fresh tears.

"It took me a long, long while and one very intense and frightening haunting to see, that I am not above anyone. I am nothing more than the one thing I was told many times…. I am a simple 4-year old girl, with an astonishing mind, but not fully a prodigy."

"Because if I am a prodigy, then why did I lose my focus and went for something as Ludacris as luck? Why did I fall for the belief of superstition and not see what the results of our actions caused? Why did a prodigy like myself, make a mistake that spiraled into something far worse than anything I have made wrong?"

"I was wrong, and I…." Lisa then wipes away more tears. "I shouldn't have done that to you Lincoln. I treated you like nothing, and made you get hurt and left you out of the lives and adventures we all could've had."

"Family is important and I never saw it, I casted it out and only saw the true meaning of everything I wanted to know. I left out my emotions and did nothing but see everything as some kind of simulation or testing field. I am a heartless child, with no sense of emotions of morale."

Lincoln feels bad that Lisa sees this now, and Luna also feels sad about how Lisa has been feeling. For once in her 4-year old life, she has seen the error of her ways and is filled with so much guilt and regret.

"Lisa, you're not a heartless child" said Lincoln.

Lisa then looks to her former brother. "Then how can you explain the way I was back then? I wasn't even a good girl to show how I feel and only showed nothing but logic to all of you."

"Because you were blinded by the talent and gift you got, just as I was and it took me some hard thinking and one horrible incident to make me see past that blinding light" replied Luna.

Lincoln then places a hand on Lisa's shoulder, which makes her feel nervous and she looks to the concerned and caring eyes, of her former brother, Lincoln Loud. "Lisa, tell me….. What's wrong?"

Lisa looks into his eyes and she recalls the many times he was always caring, and patient with the former loud family and how much he did what he could to make them happy and fix the mistakes that he or their made.

Seeing this, Lisa then has no other way to block her emotions and she hugs Lincoln and begins to cry.

Lincoln hugs her back and does his best to calm her down. "There, there. It's okay Lis, I'm here."

Luna is concerned from this and she goes closer and rubs Lisa's back. ' She sees what she's done and I guess it's time for her to find some closure and make up for what she did, just like Lucy, Lori and Leni.'

Luna smiles when she sees how Lincoln is trying to calm this crying toddler, which reminds her of when she always has to comfort her little brother when he was feeling upset, or when she has to comfort her son from something very troubling.

Lincoln continues the hug with Lisa. "Lisa, tell me what you wanna say, please."

"I'm….. I'm s-sorry, Lincoln…. I never…… i-I never should've do-done what I d-did. I left you o-out and made y-you get hurt. I…… I didn't m-mean to, I don't……. I don't know w-what to do, I just….. I'm sorry, Lincoln!"

Lincoln smiles, he can see that this is the Lisa Loud who has been lying dormant for so long. The Lisa who cares about her family and is who she truly is, a 4-year old girl who wants attention and to be loved.

Lincoln lets' her cry her heart out and waits for her to finish.

It only took 10 minutes, and soon Lisa is done crying and is calm.

They depart from the hug and Lincoln looks to Lisa and he helps wipe away her tears. "Are you alright now Lisa?"

Lisa nods, but she still has some tears coming down her face. "I…. I think s-so. Thank you, for the h-hug Lincoln."

"No problem." He then rubs her hair. "Lisa, look at me." The 4-year old looks to Lincoln, and sees his comforting face, that is also shows he's kinda stern. "Lisa, what happened long ago last year is something that can't be easily fixed or made right, and you know that."

Lisa nods. "Yes, I know. We casted you out and made you feel like no one loved you, and I am truly sorry for all of that and not doing anything."

Lincoln nods. "That is true, but I am willing to try and see how you can be forgiven. It's a long and hard road, and earning forgiveness could be an easy task to do, but trust is another and I can't trust you after all we have been through and what we have going on now."

"I already trust and forgive Leni and Lori, but they have yet to forgive themselves and want to earn my trust back when they come out of their sentences and choices, the others are a major question to deal with and sure as heck they're feeling the same way you're feeling right now."

Lisa then asks. "B-But, what about Lana?"

"Lana was a different story. She needed help and I had to use my big brother skills to do that and put that little annoying rich girl back in her place, I didn't forgive her, nor did I wanna trust her. I was just being a good kid and helping those who needed help the most" said Lincoln.

Lisa nods. "Yes, I see now and I understand."

Lisa then looks to Luna and then to Lincoln. "Lincoln, Luna. I will do all I can to earn back the lost trust from the both of you, and also try and seek forgiveness after what I have done from the point of suffering, and I will give it my all, but I can't guarantee I can do it quickly."

Luna smiles. "It's okay, Lisa. We understand and we wanted to hear that from you, because forgiveness and trust is never something easy to fix, and we're patient. Also, we got your back."

Lisa looks to Luna, then to Lincoln. "Really?"

Lincoln nods. "Lisa, we're not family, not anymore. But that does not mean we can keep an eye on each other and also have each other's backs. Mom and I can see through that and we know that while life is gonna go on and we all seek our road to redemption, we can keep an eye on each other. No mater how far away we are from each other."

"We got each other's backs" replied Luna. "Always, no matter what happens."

Lisa smiles hearing this. "Thank you, thank you, both of you." Lincoln and Luna then hug Lisa.

They might not be family, but this talk that Lisa had, is a good step to rekindling some family love they once had.

Teri and Darcy see this and both go down the slide and are happy that Lisa is doing her hardest to earn back what she lost. They knew this plan could work and it did.

Lucy sees this and smiles, and so she begins to write a poem about this moment and deep down, she feels as if she needs to talk to Lisa as well. Both of them are the same after all, seeking redemption and regaining trust to their former big brother.

The twins see this and both are worried, they don't know how to talk to Lincoln and Luna, they too wanna be redeemed, but seeing how they are giving Lisa a chance makes them feel like they need to work hard to do the same.

Lisa then departs from the hug between Lincoln and Luna. "This has been quite the enjoying experience and thank you for listening to me."

"We're glad you opened up to us Lisa" said Lincoln.

Michelle Lewis then races past them in panic. "Oh jeez!" Jordan tries to catch up to her and Michelle ends up falling into a trash can and this gets the attention from Polly and Rusty.

"Was I like that too?" asked Rusty.

Lincoln, Luna, Lisa and Jordan go over and help her out of the trash can. Michelle always wanted roller skates, but I think she might wanna also need lessons from a pro, and the one person who could help is Margo Roberts.

A/N: You guys wanted it and here it is, and I did what I could to make Lisa feel as if she has so much to say. After all, she is 4 and a prodigy and there is tons of emotional issues within her ready to explode. Leave a review and tell me what you all think.
