We're gonna look into the aftermath of everything. To see how Lincoln, Luna, Lori and Michelle Lewis are doing after the whole attack from Cassidy Callieman and the conditions of Rita and the woman who died. Enjoy reading folks.

Chapter 169: The sore after the pain.

(Royal Woods General Hospital.)

At the hospital, Lincoln is awake and looks to the three women who are on stretchers and recovering from the beat down they got.

Lincoln woke up before them and he didn't suffer much. Okay, so his left side is okay, but he landed on his left arm from the fall and now it's in a cast. So, he has to keep the cast until the end of three days.

Lincoln is upset that his mom, Michelle and Lori are still out, they took a lot of hits and nearly got killed in the whole process, but Lincoln can't shake the words that woman said to them.

'That big scary lady. She must've been from the same place where Rita and Lynn Sr are, she got out and wanted to beat us up for revenge against Rita, and she didn't even do anything to that lady but try and fix her mistakes. This is all going so bad.'

Lincoln holds his mom's hand and sheds a few tears. He then hears the door open and coming in are Sam, Jordan, Sully, Mazzy, Harriet and Albert.

Sam and Jordan go over and hug Lincoln, who then cries into Sam's shirt. "She hurt her, Sam. That lady, she hurt mom."

Sam knows that seeing his mom, along with Michelle and Lori get beaten up so bad was horrible, too much for the snow-haired child to endure and she didn't like how it all went, they all wanted to keep Lincoln safe and get that horrid woman out of their home, and they paid the price and are now in the hospital and recovering.

"Shh, easy buddy. Take it easy, everything's gonna be okay. Luna and the others will make it" said Sam as she tries her best to comfort the crying boy. After all, she is the second mother figure to Lincoln.

Lincoln stops crying and looks to Sam. "W-Will they be okay?"

"They will, Lincoln." They all se Dr. Kendrick walk into the room. "I have the results of their injuries."

"Now, Luna has some concussions to her head, she might wake up eventually, but she will be going through some small migraines. We also had to patch up three of her broken ribs and she had a few other bruises inside of her body that had to be healed."

"Lori suffered the same as Luna, as well as multiple concussions to the head and she needed some stitching because there was a large cut to her head, and her lower area got hurt a lot and so she'll need to stay in bed to heal some more. We give her five days tops."

"Michelle didn't suffer much, just a few bruises and a concussion, but nothing else serious. They'll all be fine Lincoln, don't worry. They'll make it."

Hearing all of that was enough to make Lincoln happy. Then he asks. "Sir, who was that woman who wanted us dead?"

Mazzy answers that one. "Well, the detectives told us, and her name is Cassidy Callieman. She was in jail at the women's penitentiary at Lansing, which is where your former mom is alongside your former dad."

Lincoln was shocked, he knew it.

Sully then continues. "The lady is delusional and crazy. She's in jail for tons of crimes, mostly murder to families, and all because her husband divorced her and left with the kids to live someplace else, and then she hunted them down and killed them too."

Albert says the rest. "But her killing didn't stop. She literally hates families and she started going after other families, and also ended her bloodline, so her family known as the Callieman's aren't around, I think. Chances there could be other relatives far from her and still kicking it."

"She even committed crimes by murdering people who aren't from this country, you can say she is very racists when it comes to foreigners. She was sentenced to jail for life, and with no parole and no bail, and when her time comes, she would be executed via the syringe. Also, I took her soul, so now she won't cause damage even after death."

Lincoln sighs in relief. "At least she's gone and she won't do any more harm or damage to our family. I really didn't like her, and she…… she wanted to do something….. Something horrible to me, and then to Rita and then to mom and the rest of the family, well former family."

Sam does her best to reassure the boy that everything will be okay. "Take it easy there, kiddo. What matters is that you and the others are still fine, and that lady is gone for good."

Jordan then speaks. "There was a message from the Lansing jail, a message from Rita and Lynnard."

This catches Lincoln's attention. "W-What did they say?"

Albert responds to that one. "Well kiddo, Rita is doing fine and so is Lynnard. They wanted to send a massage about the whole thing, but they didn't think that Cassidy lady was fast enough to get to town before word got out."

"How she got to town, was kinda horrible. She killed some rich guy at Lansing and took his private plane, bailed out and crashed it onto a gas station and killed a ton of people, then she hijacked a prison bus and killed everyone in it and then drove it all the way here."

Jordan explains the rest. "Even though the checkpoints were guarding the roads. She managed to bypass them through the forest and did so much property damage, and then she crashed the bus at someone's house, which was Zach's."

This makes Lincoln worried. "What? Is he okay?"

"Zach's fine little dude" replied Sully. "They weren't even home, Zach was at school and his rents' were at work, so no harm to them, except for their dining room."

"Currently, Rita is doing fine and recovering after the whole ordeal, so there's no need to worry about it anymore, Linc" said Mazzy. "That lady is gone, and everything is okay again, even though there was some damage to the town."

Lincoln was still upset. They faced Hawaii with some horrid kid, they confronted the exterminator, and they had one serious talk with Katie Crest and now this. 'Dang it. Why can't we just have some peace from the trouble and be left alone?'

"At least….. The trouble is gone." They all look to Luna who's awake. "Hey everyone, you're all doing well." She greets them with a smile, and a few tears,

"Luna!" They all go over to see if she's okay. But they try not to overcrowd her, she might still be sore.

"Oh god. Everything hurts right now." They all see Michelle is also awake. "That crazy lady is lucky she's dead, otherwise I'd kill her myself."

"This is literally not the worst thing for me." Lori sits up and she feels her sides are sore. "And it all hurts. Ow." She then lays back down and tries to ease the soreness from her aching body. "Yup, still hurts."

Lincoln looks to his mom and has tears. Luna smiles and she holds his hand. "Easy there kiddo, I'm fine now. We're all okay, and that lady is not coming back."

Lincoln then gets on the bed and hugs Luna. Luna does the same, even though she is kinda sore, none of it compares to how much she feels for her son.

"M-Mom, I thought….. I thought we were g-gonna be."

"Shh, take it nice and steady Linc. We're not going through that again, and we did what we had to. To keep you safe and to keep that mad woman out of the way." Luna runs her hand through his hair and she kisses his forehead.

Lincoln couldn't help but cry at what had happened, and Luna does what she can to comfort him.

Then the door opens and Lucy and Maggie come in. "Lori." Lucy goes over to Lori and they hug each other.

But then Lori realizes. "Still sore."

Lucy backs up. "Sorry, thank goodness you're okay."

Then Lisa comes in with Teri. "Well, looks like everyone is doing well. But I only assume that one of you will be in bed for a long while, and two of you will be back on their feet in no time."

Then Lisa recalls. "Oh right, they're also here." She steps aside and Lola and Lana come in and see the whole thing, this shocks the others but Lincoln doesn't notice and neither does Luna, they're still in each other's embrace.

Lori is shocked to see the twins and she has tears. Even though everything hurts, it doesn't matter. "Come here." The twins have tears and they run to Lori, get on the bed and hug her.

Lori cries along with them, seeing them back was enough to make her feel like the big sister she was once before and then Lucy joins the hug.

Lisa smiles seeing all of this. Then Teri asks. "Aren't you gonna join them?"

"No, no. even though I am saddened that they nearly got harmed, and myself as well. This is their moment, not mines and I will let them have this" said Lisa. "I only wished to come here to see if they are fine, and they are fine. But the real issue is, what is next to come for us."

That was something Sam and Jordan questioned.

Then Sully recalls something. "Oh right. Chunk is in another room, neighboring yours."

(Somewhere near Gus' Games n' grub.)

Clyde, Liam, Rusty and Zach are on their bikes and they stop at the arcade. "Dude, are you sure you wanna cancel the sleepover?" asked Zach.

"I'm positive gang and I told my mom, dad and memaw too" replied Liam. "After the whole thing that happened, Lincoln needs to be patched up and I don't want him getting hurt when we have some fun in the farm."

"Good idea Liam" replied Clyde. "We can have it next time, when the time is right and hope trouble isn't gonna strike again, and when Lincoln isn't hurt or something."

"So, when do we have the sleepover at your place, man?" asked Rusty as he chains his bike to the rack.

"Well, we can do it on Friday night, nothing to be doing at that point, and Lincoln will be out of the cast in no time" replied Liam. "I talked to my parents and memaw about that and they said they're fine with it too."

"I still feel bad for what happened to Lincoln and his mom, and to Lori and Michelle" said Zach. "That lady is whacko in the head."

"Which reminds me, what the heck are you gonna do with the wrecked dining room?" asked Rusty.

"Oh that? Well, mom and dad were planning to make the dining room different and I guess now is the right time. Which means we're gonna be eating dinner in the living room until the dining room is all patched up" replied Zach.

"At least the town is safe, for now that is and that crazy lady is out of the picture." Clyde and the other are about to go into the arcade.

"Hey you! You four boys, stop!" They all turn around and see this woman come out of her car and go to them and Clyde knows who she is. "What are you kids doing?!" Yep, it's her, Selena Williams.

Clyde looks to the woman and sighs in annoyance. "Oh no. This got worst."

"Umm, we're gonna go and play in the arcade" said Rusty.

"No, this is no place for children. Go home now and do your work and don't play video games on the weekend, now!" said Selena Williams. "You all have school and must continue with your grades, no go!"

The four boys are confused, they don't know what this lady's deal is or what she wants. "What the heck are you talking about lady?" asked Liam.

"Guys, this is the lady I was talking about the other day" replied Clyde. "The mean and thinks she knows best kind of lady."

"Because I know what's best" said Selena. "Now run along back home and don't forget to hide those bikes back from where they came from."

Then a cop car shows up and officer Tristen comes out. "Seriously? We're gonna do this again?" He then looks to the boys. "Clyde, you and the guys go on ahead. You're clean."

They head into the arcade and this angers Selena. "No! They shouldn't be playing on the weekends!"

"Miss Williams, this is the second time you're doing this. Leave the good people of the town alone, or I will write you a ticket" said Tristen.

Selena is infuriated by this and she walks off. "This isn't over! I will sue the arcade!" She then drives off.

Tristen sighs. 'Who does she think she is?' He gets back to his squad car. "I need to talk to the mayor, the chief and pretty much the Allied outpost about this. Things are about to go from bad to worse real fast."
