Chapter 20.
Training, feelings and… regrets?
1-A Classroom.
- "Just like I told you yesterday. Our goal is to provide provisional licenses to all of you."- Aizawa said.
- "Yes!"- Everyone said excitedly.
- "A hero license will allow you to act directly when people's lives are at risk, it is a great responsibility."- Aizawa said. – "Obviously the exam is very strict. It's tentative, but still less than five percent of applicants pass each year."-
- "I knew it was severe, but not so much..."- Melissa said.
- "That's why, starting today, all of you will have to create at least..."- Aizawa said. – "Two special techniques!"- Aizawa said as Ectoplasm, Cementoss and Midnight enter the room.

- "The duty of a hero is to save people, regardless of the situation, the provisional license and its exams will allow us to know your aptitudes."- Aizawa said.
- "Gathering information, self-judgment, mobility, communication skills, leadership, and most importantly, fighting skills, are all considered vitally important for heroes."- Midnight said. – "Preparation is very important, having special techniques greatly increases your chances."-
- "In fact, in this class we have four good examples of students with special techniques."- Cementoss said pointing to the chosen four.
- "Really?"- Izuku asked.
- "That's right, your "Pyro Punch" is a good special technique, Shinso's "Lobo Kendo", Todoroki's "Ice Age" and Melissa's "Tempest Twist" are also good examples of special techniques."- Cementoss asked. – "But still, you will need more techniques if you want to pass the exam."-
- "If those can be considered special techniques... then we have more."- Shinso said.

The chosen four begin to count how many techniques they have.

- "How unfair, just because you have three transformations and Todoroki and I only have one!"- Melissa said.
In case you were wondering, Melissa's costume is quite simple, she wears white and pink shoes and long purple socks. She wears a blue and white striped shirt under a pink vest paired with matching jean shorts.
- "Unfair! You at least already have special techniques, we have none!"- Sero said.
- "It is not completely true."- Ectoplasm said. – "Special techniques do not necessarily have to be offensive, for example, Iida's Recipro Burst is a good special technique."-
Hearing that, Iida raises his head proudly. – "I'm not that far behind. At least I have one."-
- "As I was telling you before you interrupted me, we went to the camp so that they could create their own special techniques."- Aizawa said. – "In short, from today until the provisional license exams begin, that is, during these ten days of vacation, we will focus on the creation of special techniques."- Aizawa said. – "Or at least 16 of you will."- Aizawa turns to see the four chosen ones. – "Since the four of you already have your special techniques, you will have special training with me. The rest will stay training with Ectoplasm Midnight and Cementoss."-

Ojiro is knocked down by an Ectoplasm clone. – "Your movements are very predictable for someone with a tail. We have to go back to basics."- The professor said.
- "Yes…"- Ojiro said. – "To summarize, I am very normal."-
- "Special Tecnique! These hands will shoot acid!"- Mina said while shooting acid from her hands. Unfortunately, the acid did not have much power.
- "If you want to do that, pinch your fingers together so the acid shoots out."- Ectoplasm clone said.
Doing as directed, Mina's acid shoots out a long distance. - "My range increased!"- Mina said.
And so, all class A, or at least the majority, is training to create their special techniques.
Midnight is in charge of monitoring the progress of the class, since Aizawa is in the special training of the other four students.
- "Ah, I see that everyone is trying very hard."- Toshinori arrived.
- "All Might? What are you doing here?"- Midnight asked.
- "I had nothing to do, besides, I think it is no longer necessary for you to call me by that name."- Toshinori said.
- "Sorry…"- Midnight said.
- "Don't worry, by the way, I noticed that there are only sixteen students, where are the other four? And where is Aizawa?"- Toshinori asked.
- "Oh that... in fact both things are related, you see..."- Midnight couldn't say anything because a roar interrupted her, that roar was so loud that it was heard throughout the gym, all the students stop what they are doing, they recognize that roar.
- "That roar..."-
- "It is the same one that was heard on the day of the invasion of the camp!"-
- "Don't tell me they're invading us again?!"-
The teachers became alert after hearing this; however an explosion caught their attention, an unknown creature came out of smoke, at least for them, that creature is BurningGreymon which lets out another roar.
- "What is that thing?!"-
Melissa, in his Kazemon form, Shoto, in his Paledramon form, and Shinso, in his Lobomon form, also come out of the smoke.
- "Izuku! Take it easy! You already had it; how did you lose control?"- Melissa said as she tried to calm Izuku down.
- "Yes! Calm down!"- Shoto said.
- "Is that Midoriya?"- Midnight asked.
- "Yes."- Aizawa said coming to the side of the teachers. – "Damn... everything was going fine until he got out of control."-
- "What are you talking about?"- Toshinori asked.
- "Midoriya and Shinso unlocked a new form during the attack on the camp, but they can't seem to stay in control for too long, their training is about fully controlling those transformations. In addition, Shield and Todoroki will train their current forms trying to stop them, Midoriya and Shinso will take turns transforming and whoever doesn't transform will help the other two by stopping the other."-
While Aizawa explains this, Shinso manages to jump and grab Izuku by the neck and with his weight they both fall to the ground.
- "Don't you think it's too much for them?"- Midnight asked.
- "No, they need to master those transformations as soon as possible."- Aizawa said. – "Also, if what they say is true... they're going to need them for their battle against Lucemon."-
From the place where Shinso and Izuku fell Shinso comes out, and when the little smoke that was generated disappears, Izuku gets up making an imitation of a roar and with his hands imitating claws. – "Raaaawr! Oh… I'm back."-
- "Midoriya, what happened?"- Aizawa asked.
- "I don't know... everything was fine but suddenly not anymore."-
- "Anyway... Take a five-minute break, Shinso, you're next."-
- "Yes…"-
Suddenly the whole class approaches them. - "Midoriya! What the hell was that?!"- Kirishima asked.
- "It's a new transformation, but I still can't control it well."- Izuku said.
- "Cool!"-
- "Yes, great, but that's not important."- Midnight said. – "The important thing is... why can she wear those clothes and I can't?"- Midnight asked pointing at Melissa/Kazemon.
- "I can't choose my clothes when I transform! Believe me, if I could, I wouldn't wear this!"- Melissa yelled with a small blush on her cheeks, although she was already used to Kazemon's clothes, that didn't make it any less embarrassing.
- "Enough! You all asked your questions, now get back to training!"- Aizawa said.
- "Yes!"-

1-A dorms.
Izuku is in the kitchen of the dorms, he couldn't sleep and decided to go downstairs for a glass of water. - "All this beast spirit training won't let me sleep. How can Shinso-kun sleep after all that? Could it be because of the famous power of cats that he mutters so much lately?"- After drinking some water Izuku decides to go back to sleep, however some whispers catch his attention. Finding the source of the whispers he found his classmate, Denki Kaminari in the courtyard, he was sitting in the fetal position muttering things about being weak. – "Kaminari-kun?"- He asked.
This made Denki jump from his spot. - "M-Midoriya?! What are you doing here?!"-
- "I couldn't sleep so I decided to come for a glass of water. But that's not important now, I heard you muttering things, are you okay?"-
Kaminari quickly smiled, but Izuku could tell that it was a fake smile. - "O-Of course! There is nothing wrong here! Nothing at all!"- Izuku's look told him that he wasn't convinced. – "O-Okay, I'll tell you..."- After a few seconds of silence, Kaminari speaks. – "I'm going to leave the UA!"-
This takes Izuku by surprise. - "W-What?! Why?!"-
- "It's because I'm pathetic!"- Kaminari said.
- "What are you talking about?"- Izuku asked.
- "Don't tell me you don't notice! Since I entered the UA, nothing I have achieved is due to my own merit!"- Kaminari said.
- "What are you talking about? You survived USJ."- Izuku said.
- "In case you didn't know, I only survived because Yaoyorozu and Jiro knew what to do, if it had been up to me, I would have died..."- Kaminari said slightly sadly.
- "What about the sports festival? You made it to the third round."-
- "The whole class passed the first round, and it was thanks to Todoroki that I passed the second, in the third you defeated me effortlessly, what's more, I defeated myself!"-
- "And the internships?"-
- "Nothing we haven't seen at UA…"-
- "The camp?"-
- "I didn't do anything... I stayed in the building doing nothing."-
- "I-Island! You faced several robots so that Melissa, Shinso-kun and I could advance."-
Kaminari looked away. - "I'm going to tell you the truth... actually I pretended to be in my stupid mode, so I don't fight and for everyone to defend me, I was scared..."-
- "I-I see… well, there's that time when… or the other time when…"- Izuku couldn't find any other example.
- "You see! I'm pathetic, a coward and useless! I don't deserve to be here!"- Tears welled up in Kaminari's eyes.
Izuku was silent for a few seconds, but then he decided to speak sincerely. - "I don't think you're any of those things, Kaminari..."- Kaminari looks at Izuku. – "I think you just need the moment to show who you really are. Like me."-
- "What are you talking about? If you are one of the coolest people I know!"- Kaminari said.

- "My quirk evolved before it was detected and I was diagnosed as quirkless, during that stage of my life I was never able to defend myself and many called me pathetic." - Izuku pulls out his D-Scan. – "Until I got this and got to know the true nature of my quirk and was able to show everyone the real me. I genuinely believe that you are capable of being a great hero, otherwise you wouldn't be here, Aizawa-sensei is very strict in this kind of things and if he hadn't seen potential in you, he would have kicked you out a long time ago. You just need the opportunity to show who you really are."-
These words made Kaminari cry, but not with sadness, but with joy. – "Thank you... Midoriya…"-

- "Dark Shadow! Cover me!"- Tokoyami screamed. – "When I cover myself with Dark Shadow, I can protect my weak points! I call this technique, Tenebrous Abyss Body!"-

- "I must concentrate the explosion in a single point..."- Bakugo said as he pointed his hand at a rock wall. – "AP Shot!"- The boy screamed before releasing a single explosion, which created a hole in the wall.
- "Young Bakugo sticks out a lot."- Toshinori said while not realizing that a piece of rock was falling on top of him.
- "Watch out!"- Midnight said, she was about to push Toshinori out of the way but suddenly.
- "Tail Whip!"- Izuku, in his BurningGreymon form breaks the rock into several pieces.
One of those pieces was about to fall on top of Midnight when suddenly... - "Lupine Laser!" - Shinso, in his KendoGarurumon form, destroys the rock with a laser of light fired from his mouth.
- "All Might, are you alright?"- Izuku asked as he lands, Shinsou positions himself next to him.
- "Young Midoriya, Young Shinso, I see you managed to master your new transformations."- Toshinori said. – "I'm okay by the way, thank you."-
- "Yes! All of Aizawa-sensei's training paid off."- Izuku said.
- "It won't have done any good if they don't get their provisional licenses."- Aizawa said as he, Melissa/Kazemon and Todoroki/Paledramon arrive at the scene.
- "We won't let you down sensei."- Shinso said.
While this was happening, Toshinori was watching the group, especially the four students with their evolved Quirk. – "Chosen ones... I still can't get those words out of my head... he had never said it before, what did he mean? And what do the four of them have to do with it? I need to talk to Nezu about this."-

Melissa goes to her room, everyone is in their respective rooms, she was about to return to hers, however she found Izuku, who was writing in his notebook.
- "Hey Izuku! What are you doing?"- She said with a smile.
- "Oh Melissa, nothing interesting, I'm just writing some stuff about BurningGreymon."- Izuku said.
- "And what are those things?"-
- "Abilities, attacks, strengths, weaknesses, among other things."-
- "Interesting, I guess you do it to control it better."-
- "Partly... you see, as a kid I had a hobby of writing down everything about heroes, but ever since I got the D-Scan and everything about Shigaraki happened, I've been writing down everything about Digimon."- Izuku said, while showing his notes to Melissa, these not only include Izuku's transformations, there were also those of Shinso, Todoroki and her, there was information about the various Digimon they have faced, the legendary warriors, the descendants of the other five warriors and some information about Lucemon.
- "Wow! This is so cool!"- Melissa said in awe.
- "Do you really think that? Many have told me that it is weird."- Izuku said.
- "Well, they are fools, the amount of information that is here is quite valuable and very detailed, besides that you draw very well."- Melissa said as she looked at the information in Izuku's notebook but stopped when she looked at Kazemon's page. Apparently, there was a note that said: She's cute, but not as cute as Melissa. Melissa blushes reading this. – "I-Izuku…"- She said as she points the note at Izuku, the boy blushes like a tomato quickly.
- "Did I really write that? I'm sorry."- Izuku said.
- "N-No, you don't need to apologize, do you really think that of me?"- Melissa said.
- "I-I… yes… I really think you're very cute."- Izuku hides his head. – "Also, I like you... a lot."-
This statement surprises Melissa a lot. – "W-Why?"-
- "Are you seriously asking that? Since I'm not going to like you, besides being very cute you are very brave, even before having the spirit of the wind you were able to risk yourself to save everyone on I-Island. You are very intelligent and very determined to be a hero! You're amazing!" – Izuku said.
Melissa was still very surprised by all the things Izuku said to her. - "You seriously think that of me?"-
Izuku blushes more, I don't know how that is possible... - "Y-Yes... sorry for being too bold."-
- "Okay, the truth is that it makes me happy that you think that way about me."- That catches Izuku's attention. – "Because I like you too."- Melissa said.
Izuku was completely surprised by these words, the prettiest girl he has met, who is also the girl he likes, said that she likes him too. – "W-What? Why? How can you like someone like me?"-
- "Why? You ask… How can I not like you, you are brave, a great person, you are always willing to save everyone, you always make sure everyone is safe, you are very smart, strong, brave, handsome and I can go on! In any case, how could someone like you like someone like me?"- Melissa said.
- "Do you really think that?"- Melissa nods. Izuku takes a risk and takes the girl's hand. - "In that case... do you want to go out with me?"-
Melissa smiles and hugs Izuku. – "Yes!"-
Izuku returns the hug. – "I guess we're a couple now."-
- "That's right!"- Melissa said as she walked closer to Izuku.
- "I-I don't think I'm ready for kisses yet."- Izuku said.
- "Okay, we'll go easy."- Melissa said however she gives Izuku a kiss on the cheek. – "But I think that's fine, right?"-
- "Y-Yes…"- Izuku said while blushing… hard. - "W-We better go to sleep. Tomorrow is the provisional license exam."-
- "I guess you're right."- Melissa said as they both got up and went to their rooms, holding hands the whole way.
