Chapter 35.
A new Mission.
Present time.
- "I see... sounds fun, I wish I had been there."- Izuku said, he just heard the anecdotes of the cultural festival from his classmates.
Class A is currently in the common room, everyone was telling Izuku what they did at the cultural festival, in addition to showing him some videos that were taken by the public of the concert they did. Izuku was sitting on the couch, to his right was Melissa leaning on his shoulder and to his left was Shinso. In the rest of the room was the rest of class A, except Bakugo, who only told him "You finally wake up Nerd!" and then went to sleep.
- "The important thing is that you're back."- Melissa said.
- "That's right dude, it felt strange without your presence."- Kaminari said.
- "Indeed, luckily, Midoriya didn't miss anything important, except for the cultural festival of course."- Iida said.
- "It would have been fun to see you dance Izuku."- Melissa said.
Izuku blushes slightly. - "I don't know... when I dance, I look like a fish trying to get back into the water."-
- "I would pay to see that."- Shinso said jokingly.
- "Maybe I'll force him to do it."- Melissa said. – "You owe me one for make me worry all this time!"-
- "I promise I'll make it up to you."- Izuku said.
This interaction did not go unnoticed, the whole class was met with expressions of surprise to see how these two interacted, the only exceptions were Todoroki, Shinso and Kaminari who already knew the type of relationship these two had.
Obviously, the first to speak was Mina. - "One moment! You two are very affectionate... perhaps you two... are dating!"-
Both teenagers blushed, Melissa turned to see Izuku who nodded, it's time to reveal their relationship to the rest of their classmates. – "Yeah... we're dating."- Melissa said, knowing that while Izuku was okay with revealing it, she knew that her boyfriend wouldn't be able to say it without fainting from nerves first.
- "Eh!?"- All but the three who already knew it cried out in surprise at the revelation.
- "Since when?!"-
- "W-We started dating shortly before the provisional license exam."- Izuku said.
- "Why didn't you tell us anything?!"- Mina said.
- "Because we want to have some peace of mind before start getting bombarded with questions."- Melissa said.
The questions were going to continue but some laughter caught everyone's attention, when they turned around, they all saw Kaminari laughing. – "Hilarious"- Kaminari said.
- "Wait... you already knew?!"- Jirou asked to her now boyfriend.
- "Yeah."- Kaminari said but he could also feel the eyes of everyone above him. – "For my defense I'm not the only one who knew it, Todoroki and Shinso knew it too!"-
After this and after talking for another while, everyone decided to go to sleep, there are classes tomorrow, Well, almost all of them, Izuku gave the rest of the chosen ones a look, indicating that they should return to the common room once the rest went to sleep.
- "So… What do you wanted to talk about Midoriya?"- Todoroki asked.
- "Well... Aizawa-sensei mentioned that they went to the digital world while I was in a coma. I was wondering how it went…"-
- "Everything went well, we defeated another of the demon lords and Todoroki unlocked his beast spirit."- Shinso said.
- "Seriously? I guess the only thing missing is Melissa to unlock the beast spirit."- Izuku said.
- "Nope!"- Melissa said. – "I unlocked mine during the cultural festival. I went to buy some things that were missing, and I ran into Gentle Criminal, long story short, he wanted to invade the UA and during our confrontation I unlocked Zephyrmon and defeated him."-
- "I see…"-
- "We also helped one of the royal knights who had disappeared."- Shinso said. – "Magnamon if I remember correctly."-
- "Can you tell me how it went?"- Izuku asked.

Shortly after the cultural festival.
Todoroki, Melissa, Shinso and Kaminari are in Nezu's office, Melissa told the rest that Nezu wanted to see them after the cultural festival. – "So... what do you need us for?"- Shinso said.
- "To keep it simple, the digital world needs you again."- Nezu said.
- "I see... but Midoriya is not with us."- Todoroki said.
- "I know, but we have to help with whatever we have right now, I'm sure Midoriya would have wanted you guys to help."- Nezu said.
- "I guess you're right... very well who needs our help, is it Leomon again?"- Shinso said.
- "That's the strangest thing, I received a request for help, but there was no sender."- Nezu said.
- "Maybe it's a trap."- Todoroki said.
- "I doubt it, I investigated before deciding and I'm sure it's not a trap, maybe the request was made in a hurry."- Nezu said.
- "In that case... I guess we have to go to Kamishiro."- Melissa said.
- "Correct, I already told Yuuko-chan, she said she would send someone to pick you up."- Nezu said. – "It should be here by now, so you'd better go."-
The four nod and leave the office to go to the parking lot, to their surprise there was already a car, the driver is a young woman with short greenish blonde hair, yellow eyes, and a large chest. She wears a butterfly-shaped pin in the left side of her hair, and another pin in the right side, a black blouse with small triangular cuts on the borders, an orange shirt with three black buttons and puffy shoulders, and black elbow gloves with triangular cuts on the borders, and gray hexagons on them. She also wears a short orange business skirt, stockings with a black flower pattern on them and a black band on the top, and black shoes with orange soles.
- "Oh, so you guys are the ones Yuuko-chan mentioned."- The woman said. - "Although isn't it supposed to be five of you?"-
- "Midoriya is not in good health, so he won't be able to come with us."- Shinso said as they all get into the car, him in front and the others in the back. – "I don't think Yuuko-san introduced us."-
- "Sorry my mistake. My name is Rie Kishibe, I am the corporate CEO, I handle our external relations while Yuuko-chan manages the projects. Including her little secret project that Mirei-chan is supervising, I guess you guys have something to do with it."-
- "Nice to meet you Kishibe-san, my name is Hitoshi Shinso, and they are my classmates and friends, Shoto Todoroki, the boy with two-tone hair, Denki Kaminari, the blonde boy, and Melissa Shield, there is also Izuku Midoriya, but as we said, he is not in good health."- Shinso said.
- "What a pity... I would have liked to meet him."- Rie said.
- "I know, he is our leader so to speak."- Shinso said. – "While he's not here I'm trying to lead, but I'm not as good as him."-
- "Don't say that dude, I think you'll do fine."- Kaminari said.
- "I hope so."- Shinso said.
After this conversation, the rest of the way was quiet until they reached the Kamishiro company building.
- "We're here, good luck with whatever you have to do."- Rie said as the chosen four get out of the car. Once the four enter the building, Rie's expression changes from an innocent smile to an evil one, the woman takes out her phone and starts dialing someone.
- *What do you want, Kishibe? * - The person on the other end of the line said.
- "Why so aggressive? Can't I just call my favorite partner?"- Rie said. – "Anyway, I have news about the chosen ones."-
- *I see... what do you have? * -
- "Your suspicions were correct; the chosen ones are traveling to the digital world with the help of Yuuko-chan."- Rie said.
- *I see… do you know why? * -
- "No, I don't have access to that kind of information, remember?"- Rie said.
- *Never mind, good job Kishibe. * -
- "Thank you very much... Dr. Garaki. Or should I call you by your real name... Akemi Suedou."-
The person on the other end of the line was silent for a few seconds. – *Don't push your luck Kishibe, you know you can't call me that as long as I'm working for Lord Lucemon. * -
- "You still call it that huh? Anyway, good luck with your things, I'll continue with mine."-
- *Remember, I still need that information to help Lord Lucemon. * -
- "Don't worry, you'll soon have it, you just have to be patient."- Rie said.
- *Hurry up, with Lord Lucemon in Tartarus we need that information now more than ever, we can't delay the plan any longer. *-
- "I know... you'll have it soon, say hello to Tomura-kun for me. Bye bye."- Rie hangs up the phone, her smile still not gone.

Yuuko receives the chosen ones. – "You finally arrive, I hope Rie hasn't gone too far."-
- "No, it was a smooth ride."- Shinso said.
- "Good."- Yuuko said, however she realized that there were only four chosen ones. – "Where is Midoriya?"-
- "He is in a coma and has not woken up yet"- Shinso said.
- "I see… I hope he recovers soon, in the meantime please come with me, I suppose you will be in charge for the time being Shinso."-
- "That's right."- Shinso said.
- "Alright, let's not waste time."- After these words, everyone headed to the subway to travel to the digital world.
Once in the underground, Trailmon was called, and the chosen ones go up to him to go to the digital world. – "Only four this time?"- Trailmon asked.
- "Midoriya is currently unavailable."- Shinso said.
- "I see... well it's time to go."-
After these words, the chosen ones cross the portal.

- "Alright, where are we headed?"- Kaminari asked.
- "According to the request for help, we are heading to the server continent."- Shinso said.
- "Continente server... apparently everything has a name related to computers and the internet."- Todoroki said.
- "It's true! Hey Trailmon, what is the name of all the islands in the digital world?"- Melissa asked.
- "You already know the File Island, at this moment we are going to the Server continent, in addition to those there are several places, but the largest are the Folder continent, the WWW continent, the forest of the gods, among many more places."- Trailmon said. – "Although lately there has been some movement on the Folder continent."-
- "It's... pretty big."- Kaminari said.
- "What else do we know about the mission?"- Todoroki asked.
- "Not much, we just know that they found another one of the great demon lords, other than that we don't know anything else, we don't even know who contacted Nezu."- Shinso explained. – "It feels weird to be the one to say these things, it's usually Midoriya who does it."-
- "I see you nervous, Shinso."- Melissa said.
- "I'm not used to being the leader. The truth is that I never cared about being someone's leader, that's why I never bothered that Midoriya has assumed the leadership of us."- Shinso said.
- "I'm sure you'll do fine."- Melissa said. – "You didn't hesitate to take the lead while Izuku is gone."-
- "Midoriya and I were the first to get the D-Scan and apparently we got it relatively at the same time, I felt I was the one to fill in for him while he's gone."- Shinso said.
- "You know, Izuku told me that he feels that he is not the one to lead us and he thinks that you would be better as a leader."- Melissa said. – "It's exactly the same thing you're saying right now. So yes, I think you'll do well and if Izuku trusts you, so do I."-
- "Thanks." – Shinso said.
- "Chosen ones, we have arrived."- Trailmon said as he braked. – "The Server Continent Station."-
Once Trailmon stops, the four of them go down but to their surprise there doesn't seem to be anyone waiting for them. – "There is nobody here..."- Todoroki said.
- "Do you think maybe it was a joke?"- Kaminari said.
- "I doubt it, I don't think Digimon joke about demon lords, it's like one of us tried to joke about Lucemon attacking the city and it ended up being a joke."- Shinso said.
While everyone was talking, someone approaches the four of them. – "You finally arrived!"- Said a Digimon that just arrived.
Said Digimon is a bipedal dragon Digimon with blue skin and red eyes. It has white coloration in its belly and snout, a small horn on its nose, two ear-like appendages on its head, a yellow "V"-shaped mark on its forehead, and two yellow upside-down triangle marks under its eyes. It has five fingers on its hands and three toes on each foot, and a claw on each finger and toe.
- "Who are you?"- Shinso asked.
- "I am the mighty Veemon and it was I who called you!"- Veemon said.
The four remained silent as beads of sweat fell down their faces. – "Kaminari…"- Shinso said. – "I think you were right in the end."-
- "He is so cute!"- Melissa said as she hugged Veemon.
- "I'm not cute! I'm rude!"- A blushing Veemon said.
- "You are rudely cute!"- Melissa said.
- "Listen Veemon, was it really you who called us?"- Todoroki asked.
- "Yes!"- Veemon said as he tries to free himself from Melissa's embrace. – "You are going to help me!"-
- "We don't have time for jokes."- Shinso said.
- "It is not a joke! I found one of the seven, now five, great demon lords!"- Veemon said.
- "Really? Why not tell the resistance then?"- Shinso asked.
- "I couldn't get in contact with them, but I heard about you and that you helped defeat Beelzeemon, so I thought maybe you can help me with Barbamon!"- Veemon said.
- "So it was true... okay, we'll try to help."- Shinso said. – "You stay in a safe place."-
- "What?! Of course not! I'm coming with you; you need me to defeat him!"- Veemon said.
- "And how could a rookie Digimon help us?"- Shinso asked.
- "I'm not just any Digimon, I'm one of the Royal Knights! I am Magnamon!"- Veemon said. – "Or at least I was... before Barbamon stole my power."-
- "Magnamon... you are one of the missing knights that Omegamon mentioned!"- Todoroki said.
- "Omegamon is alive?! It's a relief... that's right, right now I don't have my power, but with the help of the digimental of miracles I can digivolve to my Magnamon form."- Veemon said.
- "Digimental? What's that?"- Kaminari asked.
- "The Digimental are ancient objects that contain incredible power from the prehistoric era of the digital world, only Digimon that have DNA from the ancient Digimon can use an exclusive type of Digivolution, the Armor Digivolution."- Veemon explained. – "The Armor Digivolution is different from the regular one since the armor level Digimon do not have a specific level since we can be as strong as an Ultimate/Mega level Digimon. In my case I am strong enough to be part of the Royal Knights."-
- "How many of those Digimental exist?"- Melissa asked.
- "There is a total of eleven known Digimentals. Courage, Friendship, Love, Purity, Knowledge, Honesty, Hope, Light, Kindness, Destiny and, the one I use to get my Magnamon form, Miracles."- Veemon explained.
- "How did you lose your powers?"- Shinso asked.
- "Barbamon stole my Digimental of Miracles and uses it to gain power without using his Crest of Greed."- Veemon said.
- "So to get your power back we just need to get back the Digimental of Miracles."- Todoroki said.
- "It's not that simple, Barbamon has the Digimental in his tower and although he doesn't have an army like Beelzeemon, he doesn't take his eyes off the Digimental and when he wants to leave his tower, he takes it with him."- Veemon said. – "It would be best to attack him while he is in his tower." -
- "Distract him while you retrieve your Digimental..."- Shinso said.
- "Yes! That's a great plan!"- Veemon said. – "If you guys manage to distract him long enough while I search for my Digimental, we might have a chance of beating him!"-
- "That's the plan then, we approach Barbamon's tower and while we face him you look for the Digimental of miracles, you transform into Magnamon and together we defeat him!"- Shinso said.
- "Yes!"-
- "Guide us to the Veemon tower, once close we will enter, you wait a few minutes and then enter, this way Barbamon will not detect you since he will be focused on us, while we face him, you recover the Digimental and transform into Magnamon and together we will defeat him!"- Shinso said. – "Let's go!"-

The Chosen Ones along with Veemon are outside of Barbamon's tower, as Veemon mentioned, the tower doesn't have any kind of guard. – "All right, remember the plan, we go in and distract Barbamon while Veemon recovers the Digimental."- Shinso said. – "Are you ready?"-
- "Yes."- The three said.
- "Alright, Veemon remembers, wait a few minutes, and then go inside."- Shinso said. – "Alright! Let's go!"-

Barbamon tower.
Barbamon's appearance is that of an old man with a very long white beard and a black and red cape and witch's robes. He carries a scepter whose tip is a skull with a red sphere in its mouth.
Barbamon lets out a yawn. – "How boring! Maybe I'll go out and have some fun. The resistance hasn't found me so I can have fun without consequences for a while."- Barbamon said, however I feel several presences coming towards him. – "Digimon are approaching."-
Suddenly, the wall is destroyed and from the hole the four chosen ones enter the room. – "Barbamon! Your moments of terrorizing the digital world are over!"- Shinso said in his Lobomon form.
- "The descendants of the legendary warriors."- Barbamon said. – "Lobomon, Kazemon, Paledramon and Bettlemon, just four of you... this will be very simple!"- Barbamon said as he prepared to fight.
