Chapter 38.
An enemy for the villains.
A few days later.
A few days had passed and now Enji Todoroki is on his way back home, having just been discharged from the hospital after his fight against VenomMyotismon.
Luckily for him, he did not receive any injury that would harm him in his duty as a hero, the only exception is a vertical scar on the right side of his face, something ironic if you ask him, years ago he caused a scar to his own son, now he has one on the same side of his face as his son.
Enji is ready to continue moving in the right direction, as he said to the camera, but before that, there is one last thing he needs to do and for that he needs to get home.
Upon entering, to his surprise, Enji is greeted by his family, except Shoto who is in the UA.
Rei is the one who breaks the silence. – "Enji... we received a call from Shoto, and we have something to tell you."-
- "First of all... I need you to pay attention to me for a few seconds, and then I'll listen to everything you have to say."- Enji said.
- "Very well... speak then."- Rei said.

Aizawa presses the button again and the eight faces change for another eight. – "Second match... Aoyama, Shield, Hagakure and Tokoyami against Kendo, Komori, Fukidashi and Kuroiro."- Aizawa said. – "Of all the battles, this was the closest of all, the enemy managed to capture Hagakure thanks to Kendo's strategies and especially Komori's quirk, with which they almost captured Tokoyami too, Shield did well by using his skills of wind to clear the field of the mushrooms created by Komori, thanks to that you avoided the capture of Tokoyami in addition to managing to win the combat, good job, but you can do it better."-
Aizawa presses the button. – "Third match... Shinso, Uraraka, Bakugo and Sato against Tokage, Bondo, Awase and Kamakiri."- Aizawa said. – "Nothing to highlight, Shinso good job leading the group, I was surprised that Bakugo followed the orders without complaining, but I like it, you used the enemy's lack of coordination in your favor, without a doubt the fastest battle of the five."-
Aizawa presses the button. – "Fourth match... Iida, Todoroki, Ojiro and Shoji against Juzo, Tetsutetsu, Tsunotori, Kaibara."- Aizawa said. – "A bit of a tough battle, Tsunotori was definitely hard to handle, Todoroki good job using your ice to protect your teammates as well as slow down your enemies with the cold, Iida was almost captured but it was avoided, good job, just be more aware of your surroundings for the next one."-
Aizawa presses the button. – "And finally, fifth match... Midoriya, Ashido, Yaoyorozu and Sero against Kodai, Monoma, Yanagi and Shoda. Nothing to complain about, Midoriya once again demonstrates his born leadership skills by moving his teammates to perfection. The rest moved and acted correctly, there was no risk of capture on your part. I have nothing to say, good job."-
Aizawa turns off the screen, in that Momo raises her hand. – "Yes, Yaoyorozu?"-
- "I think there is something to highlight from the last fight... apparently Monoma's quirk didn't seem to be able to copy Midoriya's quirk."- Momo said.
- "Maybe it's because my quirk is evolved... maybe Monoma's quirk couldn't copy it since it's different from the unevolved quirks."- Izuku said.
- "That's a good theory... we'll have to look into the matter."- Aizawa said. – "With that I finish the review of the combats, for your good work I will give you the rest of the class free, do what you want, just don't leave the classroom."- After these words, Aizawa gets into his sleeping bag while the class decides to talk among themselves.

The commercial starts to play.
- "A charming four-armed woman, a gentleman with respectable lineage, a slime boy with glittery skin. These people were once considered to be part of a minority."- A guy said.
That guy is a tall, odd-looking, middle-aged man with a prominently long, pointed nose and obtruding chin, as well as small, dark eyes. He has short, orange-brownish hair, set noticeably far up his forehead, a widow's peak pointing downwards in the center, and he wears it swept back around his head. He doesn't have any visible eyebrows, and also possesses two dark moles on the left of his forehead. This stems from a result of his Quirk that causes his hair to recede.
He is always seen in a suit that consists of a green dress shirt, a green tie, and a black, pinstriped blazer with matching dress pants.
This guy's name is Rikiya Yotsubashi, aka Re-Destro.
- "However, these abnormalities were increasing until reaching the time of quirks that we know so much."- Rikiya said. – "However there was a problem... with so many different people it is very difficult to find products according to your lifestyle! That's why we decided to change that! We can create a custom design in three days! How fast! With our own inventions and systems, we are able to rise to the top of the industry! And now we move towards the society of heroes! So stay tuned to see what's in the future for our company!"-
The television is turned off.
- "That was the second commercial break! What do you think Mr. President?"- A rodent-headed man said to Rikiya who is sitting at his desk.
- "I like it, but could you cut the video to hide my forehead a bit?"- Rikiya said in a joking tone.
- "But that's the funniest part!"- The man said.
- "What are you saying Miyashita!"- Rikiya said. – "Whatever... when it comes to specialty products, we are the market leaders. I can confidently say everything will be fine. We will help all those with special abilities."-
- "Special abilities?"- Mayashita asked.
- "Oh sorry, I meant to say quirks. You see, I've been reading this book lately."- Rikiya said as he showed his assistant a book with the title of "Meta Liberation War".
- "Is that the book of the meta liberation army leader?"- Miyashita asked. – "I also read that book, although I find it horrible."- Miyashita said inadvertently as Rikiya got up from his spot to walk towards him with a menacing smile on his face.
– "You don't have relatives, right?"- Rikiya said as he wrapped his right arm around Miyashita's neck.
- "T-That's right... my mother died last year..."- Miyashita said nervously.
Suddenly Rikiya begins to tighten his grip. – "You have worked so hard for me..."- Rikiya said his grip tightens more for every second that passes. – "A pity... I wanted to introduce you to the rest... but you had to oppose my ideals."-
- "P-President... please stop..."- Miyashita said.
- "Apparently... we won't get along."- Rikiya said in a sinister voice.
- "It hurts, pleas sto…" - Miyashita wouldn't finish speaking as he would fall to the ground… dead.
Meanwhile, it can be seen that black marks appeared on Rikiya's face that resemble a mask.

Rikiya enters a room, in said room there are four more subjects, the four seem to greet Rikiya by placing their thumb on their foreheads with the index finger pointing upwards.
Two of the subjects are men, one of them is a woman and the fourth is of unknown gender since its face is covered by a hood.
- "Situation report."- Re-Destro said.
- "We found some people who have contact with the league."- One of the four subjects said. This subject is a man with reasonably long, black hair that he wears swept back, a single strand left hanging down over his face, thin eyebrows, and a small mustache. He has an angular nose and small, feminine eyes with dark blue irises. He has yellow glasses with purple-tinted lenses.
He wears a plain business suit, consisting of a white dress shirt, a black tie and a black blazer. His name is Kuku Hanabata, aka Trumpet. - "If we want to make contact we must act immediately."-
- "Then go."- Re-Destro said.
- "Yes sir."-
- "They are enemies of the liberation army. We cannot allow the government to interfere. We will be the ones to defeat them." – Re-Destro said as he made the same gesture as the rest with his right hand, placing his thumb on his forehead with his index finger pointing up. – "I swear on the name of Destro, we will destroy the league of villains."-
- "Come to think of it, you recently entered the hero industry as well."- The woman said, she has long, pale lilac hair, worn parted to her right side, full lips and pale blue skin. Her eyes are unusual, in that her sclera was completely black whereas her eye irises were green, and her pupils were completely black. And they are framed by notably long eyelashes, wrinkles, and small eyebrows. She wears gold earrings, a navy blue, shoulderless dress with long sleeves and an X-shaped belt with a circular buckle around her waist. Her name is Chitose Kizuki, aka Curious.
- "Ah… If you want a history, we have one. Those who desire liberation exist all over the world."- Re-Destro said as he takes a seat. – "In addition, we have nothing to worry about, all the things that we distribute through the black market, at any sign of danger are self-destructed to avoid suspicion towards us. Smart, don't you think?"-
- "They are here..."- Another subject said, he is a tall and lanky man with shiny black hair that reaches his waist, worn down with a neat fringe hanging over his eyes which are shown to be wide with small gray irises. He has a visibly long nose and a wide mouth with notably straight teeth. He wears a long-sleeved black turtleneck shirt and dark pants. His name is Tomoyasu Chikazoku, aka Skeptic.
- "That was fast."- Re-Destro said.
In that, Trumpet and the hooded subject, aka Geten, enter the room, along with them dragging a bloodied Giran.
Trumpet places Giran in a chair. - "As the scout and supplier of the league of villains, there is no doubt that this guy, Giran, has information about the league."- Trumpet said.
- "I'm surprised you were able to find me... let me tell you something, old man…"- Giran said. – "I have always resented you; you have been a thorn in my side from the beginning, the market is a mess thanks to you."-
- "How much do you want?"- Re-Destro asked.
- "You're wrong, old man! I don't do business with those I don't like! And even if I know something about the league, I won't tell you!"- Giran said. – "But the truth is that I don't know anything, I don't even know what those creatures are that Tomura uses as soldiers, in addition to the rest of the members."- Giran thought.
Re-Destro smiles darkly. - "Apparently, this will be the beginning of a beneficial association."-

The League of Villains is in their new hideout, the whole group is in the middle of the meal, they are eating sushi at Toga's request.
- "Hey Tomura-kun!"- Toga said calling Shigaraki's attention. – "I just noticed that it's been a while since you used those weird hands you had around your body."-
- "It's true, since All for One was defeated, you stopped using them."- Mr. Compress said.
- "Those hands... they don't mean anything to me anymore."- Shigaraki said.
- "Come to think of it... whose hands were those?"- Stain asked.
Shigaraki remains silent but decides to speak. - "They are what remains of my family after I killed them all."-
- "Wow! That's dark... I love it!"- Toga said.
- "I'm not going to talk about that anymore... I'm not here to share my life."- Shigaraki said.
- "Speaking of the past... Dabi! Will you, someday, tell us what your real name is?"- Twice said.
- "Since we're sharing our pasts... I'll tell you."- Dabi said. – "The truth... is that even I don't know."-
- "How so?"- Magne asked.
- "I don't remember anything from my past, the oldest thing I remember is waking up in a hospital, about ten years ago, before that...nothing."- Dabi said. – "I took the name Dabi because of… well my current appearance."-
- "And the intention is that you never recover your memory."- Shigaraki thought when hearing Dabi's story. – "Or at least not until the plan is finished, After that... I don't care if you recover it."-
Suddenly, the television in the place turns on, to everyone's surprise since no one had turned it on.
On the screen a bloodied Giran appears. – "A pleasure to finally contact you League of Villains."- The screen moves to then show Re-Destro. – "This is a message that only you can see. Let me introduce myself, I am Re-Destro, leader of the meta liberation army."-
- "I know who you are... Rikiya Yotsubashi. Now tell me what you want... you're interrupting our meal."-
- "Then I'll get to the point... We have been preparing and spreading throughout society, we currently have 116,556 soldiers at our disposal. What we want is very simple, we, the meta liberation army, are created to destroy you, for the sake of society as well as for its liberation."- Re-Destro said. – "If you want your friend to live... come to Deika City, in Aichi! Your friend's life is at stake!"-
- "Is that all? Are you threatening to kill a guy who has some connection to us but doesn't really know anything?"- Shigaraki asks without any concern for Giran. – "I don't care in the least about the life of that guy, I have everything I need for my plans, so... do what you want with him."-
This surprises Re-Destro, he did not expect this from his enemy. – "Wha…" -
But suddenly Shigaraki gets up and walks over to the television. - "Still... you had the courage to threaten me... I can't let this disrespect go unpunished..."- Shigaraki smiles madly. – "Very good Re-Destro! The League of Villains accepts your challenge! But I warn you once and for all, when this battle is over the meta liberation army will be nothing but blood and dust!"-

Who would have thought, if I had time to finish one more chapter even if I'm having a break, the bad thing is that we are left with a cliffhanger!
We start with the arc of the villains.
We have a small recap of the Class A vs. Class B matchups.
Re-Destro and the meta liberation army make their debut and are ready to take on Shigaraki and the League.
We also have a small preview of Shigaraki's past, believe me when I tell you that Shigaraki's past will be somewhat different from the canon, in future chapters his full past will be revealed.
We also have Dabi's past, or something similar since he doesn't remember anything. What relationship will that have with Toya being trapped in the dark ocean?
