Chapter 191: The lost Silver.
(Ketcham Park.)
Just another nice day at the park, and everyone is happy at not just having some peace and quiet, but also because some annoying pest has been driven out of there and that annoying pest is none other than Selena Williams who tried to talk off to some teens who were just having a picnic.
Right now we see Lincoln Loud and his mother Luna Loud walking into the park after a day together after classes. What did they do after school?
First, Lincoln and Luna went to watch a movie and that movie was SpongeBob: Sponge on the Run. Then they went to Gus' Games n' Grub for some mother and son game time and afterwards they were told to meet up with Michelle at the park. It is her day off and she's planning to have a picnic with them.
Where the heck is Harriet? She said she has to go and speak to some deceased relatives about something important, chances it could have something to do with a certain… Deed to a large land in town.
Right now Luna and Lincoln are going around the park and looking for their auntie and they spot her. "Hey guys!" And look…. She's wearing her… Roller skates, oh dear.
Luna and Lincoln are about to catch her before she falls, but then Ajax runs around her and uses his leash as a lasso and pulls her back upright and she's balanced. "Wow. Thanks… Ajax? Wait what?"
"You're welcome." They spot Jordan walk towards them and with her is Sam. The Austrian Shepard goes towards Jordan and she pets her dog's head. "Good boy."
"Thanks for the assist back there, what the heck are you two doing here anyway?" asked Michelle. She holds her own by the side of the tree, and Luna takes the picnic basket from her.
"Just walking Ajax here" replied Jordan. "He could use one and he seemed excited to come and meet with some good company." She then let's Ajax run off and he joins over to play with Lola, Lana and Victorie. "I think Ajax may have a crush on a certain Maltese.
"Sure looks like it" replied Luna. She looks to her girlfriend. "What about you Sammy? What brings you here, also where the heck is Brian at?"
"Right now, having a spa day with my mom and I'm chill with it" replied Sam. "He could use some quality time with my parents, and then its quality time with his sister and little bro. Also, I came here to tune some tunes with my acoustic for the songs we need to perform."
Luna recalls that one. "Yeah, we got a gig this Friday night and we're gonna be nailing the whole thing like we dang right mean it."
"Sure to heck, I am so gonna be there" replied Lincoln. He then hugs Luna. "Because I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, mom."
Luna smiles and she hugs her son, they soon depart from the hug and they look to Sam and Jordan. "We're gonna have a picnic, you guys wanna be part of it?"
"Sure, what the heck?" said Jordan.
"I'm down with that" replied Sam.
Michelle smirks. "We have enough food and room for the two of you, so let's get going."
"Any room for me to be part of this?" They all were surprised by this new voice and they turn around and see someone that Luna, Lincoln, Jordan and Sam know, and Michelle seems to know her as well, from an incident that was nearly wrong so fast.
Delilah Silver – She's not 17, turns out she's 13. Her hair is now short, but still silver but with some black dyed to the ends. Her current attire: A light green hoodie jacket, light blue t-shirt inside and green skirt with blue shorts and light blue socks and brown shoes. She has an orange hair clip in her hair.
She was known since the incident with Sasha and her attack on Lori, Luna and Lincoln. She was sent to juvie because they were told that she stole from her family, the rich Silver's and has been disowned by them.
Delilah looks nervous seeing them. "Hey guys… You're all doing well…"
Luna sees her son back up and hide behind Sam, he sheds some tears and this angers Luna. She drops the picnic basket and walks towards the girl. "Give me one good reason why I shouldn't…"
Delilah backs away from this very ticked off teen mother. "Luna… Ms. Loud, I just wanna talk. Please!"
"I should've known someone like you would fool Lori into making her think you changed, and now you're here to finish what that Sasha wanted to do, right?! Well, not today…" Luna is close to hitting her.
"Luna, stop!" The teen stops and looks towards Michelle. "Luna Loud, stop this at once, and let her speak."
Luna is confused by this. "What? Why? Do you know who she is and what she did?!"
Michelle hands the picnic basket to Jordan and walks towards Luna. "Yes, I know what she did… But let her speak… Look at her." they all look to see Delilah shielding herself from whatever Luna was gonna do to her, and she seems frightened and unable to even bring harm to them. Lincoln can see this.
Those tears don't seem fake, and at some point… Delilah's state looks kinda familiar, like Michelle or Lincoln when he would shed tears when he wouldn't be allowed to explain something and this makes Luna back off.
"Alright, fine." Luna walks away from her. "Come on and…"
Lincoln then walks towards Delilah and the two of them look at each other. Lincoln takes her left hand. "Come on, we know you have something to say and… We all wanna know what you have to tell us."
Delilah smiles hearing this. 'He's kind, just as Lori said he was.' She follows Lincoln and the others and all of them head to the picnic spot. Underneath a tree on top of a hill.
With everything now setup, they watch as Delilah eats some of the food and has tears in her eyes. "Oh man. You guys have no idea how long it's been since I've eaten food like this and… This really does bring back so many good memories!"
They just watch as Delilah eats, but then she stops. "Oh sorry…. Was I being rude? I didn't mean it, I was just…"
Sam calms her down. "No worries, but the way you seem to act… Are you really a delinquent who deserves to be in juvie? I mean, you have changed after spending so much time there…"
"I'm 13…" They all stop and look towards Delilah. "Yeah, I'm not 18… That was…I lied that I was 18, so I don't get picked on and messed with the meaner side of the juvenile hall and truth be told, I was there since summer vacation, I was 12 when I was sent there and then I became 13-year's old by the end of the summer."
This was something they did not see coming. "What?" asked Michelle.
Then Luna asks. "Delilah is it? What's your last name again?"
"Silver, Delilah Silver… Or it used to be" replied Delilah. She looks down with so much sadness on her face and they can tell that something's wrong.
"What do you mean used to be Silver?" asked Jordan. "What the heck did you do to get into juvie, and at the age of 12 too?"
Delilah knows this is hard, but she has to tell them. "I was found guilty and sent to juvie till I was 18 for… For stealing from my family, because the Silver family are rich and at times mean… but I wasn't. I am not like my stupid cousin, who framed me for something I did not do."
They did not see this coming.
"I wasn't even near the Silver mansion at the time of the whole thing. My cousin, Leslie she managed to frame me for a crime of robbing the Silver family riches. She became one step ahead of me and she managed to make evidence to prove I stole something, but I never did and because of what she did… I lost everything."
Delilah wipes away her tears.
"My parents, they didn't want anything to do with me. Because they believed in what I didn't do and said that I was better off on my… on my own when I reached 18, and that I wouldn't be called a Silver anymore. The whole plot was Leslie getting revenge on me, just because I stopped her from forcing someone to be her boyfriend and she is downright mean when she wants something."
None of them saw this coming. "Then, what about your parents now?" asked Michelle.
Delilah has some tears, but she wipes them away. "G-Gone… A week before I was r-released I… the news, the fire and…" She begins to cry into her hands and she holds the necklace close to her, the last picture of his parents.
Michelle goes over and she hugs the crying 13-year old. "Shhh, take it easy now. Everything's okay now. Don't cry."
But then Luna asks with a soft and yet stern voice. "Then why?" Delilah looks towards Luna. "Why the heck did you do that? Why did you became part of what Sasha Alabaman was gonna do to me and my son? Why were you part of that garbage?"
"You think I had a choice?" said Delilah. She wipes away her tears. "They didn't give me a choice, and… all I wanted was to be free and tell the truth on who framed me, but my anger for Leslie got over me and i… I just… Oh god. I am so sorry for what I did!" Delilah then cries once more.
She truly did regret being part of that attack onto Lincoln, Luna and Lori last year when they came to visit Lori at juvie and she didn't know what she was doing, until it was too late.
Lincoln realizes why her anger took over. "You were too blinded by your hatred for your cousin, that you couldn't think straight or even realize what you were doing and so Sasha used that against you and made you into an angry weapon she could control and command. Tell me if that's…"
"That's all true" replied Delilah. She then looks to the boy. "Lori was right… You really are a smart kid."
They all recalled that Lori was helping with the inmates who have done wrong and even those who were responsible for the damned attack and it seems like Delilah is one of them and has shown that she has changed after what she did and that she regrets her actions.
They now see that one of those girls who attacked them… Is nothing more than a broken shell of her former self. Framed by her own blood into something she did not do, losing her parents from custody and through death and now with nowhere to go and nothing left.
"Delilah?" they all look towards Jordan who seemed concerned. "What did you do after being released?"
Delilah then tells them what she did. She got a part-time job at two farms, one for hauling stuff and one for helping harvest and that she lived in a motel outside of town, but recently she was told she couldn't stay anymore because the motel was gonna be shut down and that she had to do something else.
Hearing this only meant, that she had nowhere to go and no one else to turn to and so it was Lincoln's time to ask her. "Delilah, why are you here? Why did you wanna…?" He then figures it out. "You came here to apologize to us… Right?"
Delilah nods. "Y-Yeah." She then looks to the mother and son duo. "Lincoln… Luna. I don't even know where to start, but I just wanna say that… I'm sorry. I'm sorry I got involved with Sasha, I'm sorry that I nearly made you two go into some scarring times and mostly… I'm sorry I let my anger get the best of me and cause all that trouble to you two and Lori."
She then wipes away her tears once more. "I'm just… I'm sorry."
Michelle goes over and hugs her again, a part of her was having this feeling, a feeling for longing to be a parent to this 13-year old girl and seeing and hearing how she's been, she seems as lost as… As lost as Michelle was, back when she was casted out by Doug Rockwell.
"I forgive you" replied Lincoln. They all look to the boy and weren't surprised, they knew he would say that.
Delilah departs from Michelle, she wipes away her tears and looks to the snow-haired boy. "What did you say?"
"I said that I forgive you Delilah" replied Lincoln. "Because I know that what you did…. What you did was stupid and out of your control and your anger got the best of you, we all know how that felt and it may have also gotten us to go way too far and do some damage that we're not so proud of."
"I can see that you can be redeemed and given another shot to find some peace and regain what was lost, and sure you may have been stripped of the Silver name, but that doesn't matter. What matters most, is that you find your own future and I know your parents would've loved to see you go through that and would be deeply sorry for disowning you, because they can now see the truth behind the lies from Leslie Silver."
"You can earn forgiveness..." They look towards Luna who has a smile. "But trust is another, and if my kid can forgive you, then so can I."
Delilah sees the others, Sam, Jordan and Michelle also feel the same way and can forgive her as well. This makes Delilah smile and shed some tears. "Thank you… Thank you." Lincoln goes over and hugs her and so does Michelle.
Luna smiles seeing this, it looked like the times they would forgive the other louds, and then find some way to… Then she has an idea. "Delilah."
The teen breaks from the hug and looks to the teen rocker mom. "You said you had nowhere to live right?"
Delilah nods. "Yeah, and I do plan to look for some work at…"
"No." They all look to Michelle. "I know what Luna plans, and she plans to let you stay with us, and I am okay with it." This surprises them, especially Delilah.
"But. Why?"
"Because you're 13, and you just got out of juvie… Okay, you got out weeks ago, but what matters is that you get the chance to be redeemed and start a new life, and we wanna help you with that. I wanna help you with that sweetie" replied Michelle as she places a hand on Delilah's cheek.
When Michelle said that, this got them all looking at her and Delilah is confused. "Why did you call me that?"
Michelle then wipes away Delilah's tears. "Because I know what it's like to be outcasted and never to be let into the family again and I can see myself within you and sure to heck I am not gonna let a sweet girl like you go down the same dark road I did. Because I have a plan…"
Michelle then looks to Luna. "And we're gonna need some adoption papers for it." Luna smiles hearing this, she knows what this means.
To Delilah, her eyes grow wise as she knows what this means to, the others also can see this and Lincoln smiles. 'Well, looks like we got another new Loud in the family.'
