This time we have a new chapter of The Digital Hero.

Chapter 40.
Empty memories.
- "When I grow up, I want to be a hero just as great as you, dad!"-
Ice and fire collide, Dabi and Geten meet in their fight, unfortunately for Dabi, he was at a total disadvantage, not only was his quirk beginning to damage his body, but thanks to Geten's ice mixing with the ground, Geten is capable of modifying the terrain at will. - "This is getting more and more annoying..."-
- "If we switch, I could take this guy down quickly."- Grumblemon said from inside Dabi's mind.
- "No! I will defeat this guy!"- Dabi said to Grumblemon.
- "Why do you insist so much on defeating this guy?"- Grumblemon asked.
The platform Dabi was standing on begins to collapse, forcing the villain to jump to the next platform, at the same time launching a fire blast at Geten in mid-air. – "Because since I started fighting this guy, I have been able to feel how my memories want to return, there is something about this guy that makes my mind remember, maybe if I beat him, I can remember my past."-
- "And what is important about that?"- Grumblemon asked.
- "You don't understand right?"- Dabi said as he dodged an ice attack and countered with a fire one. – "All the members of the league have their motives very clear; they all know their pasts and that has allowed them to find a goal, a path to go to achieve their goals… Meanwhile I... I'm just an empty shell."-
- "Empty shell?"- Grumblemon said.
- "Ever since I woke up in that hospital ten years ago... I've been nothing but an empty shell, someone who just wanders aimlessly... I don't know who I am..."- Dabi said while his fire collides with Geten's ice, causing a lot of wind to rise.
- "What are you talking about? You are Dabi."- Grumblemon said.
- "Yes, but..."- Dabi said as he used his fire to propel himself closer to Geten. – "Who exactly is Dabi?"- Once close to Geten, Dabi attacks with a flame which manages to hit its target.

Flashback.
Ten years ago.
A young Dabi opens his eyes suddenly. This young Dabi looks different from the current Dabi, he does not have his characteristic burn scars and his hair is white with some red strands.
- "W-Where am I?"- Dabi thought.
Getting up from the bed he was in, Dabi makes his way to the door of the room, as he gets closer, he can notice that the place is some kind of hospital, Dabi tries to remember how he got there, but his mind was blank, he can't even remember his name. – "I can't remember anything! What's going on?! What happened to me?!"-
Once at the door, Dabi opens it a crack and can see a sunflower-headed guy talking to a black screen. – "How is he?"- The voice on the other side of the screen said.
- "His body was totally destroyed by the fire, but we managed to rebuild it, he is currently alive, but I don't know how much longer he can stay alive."- The guy said.
- "I just need him to stay alive until the first phase of my plan is complete... after that anything can happen to him... I don't care."- The voice said.
- "They are talking about me..."- Dabi thought at the moment of taking a few steps back out of fear, however he does not realize that he hits a jar which falls to the ground and breaks.
The guy notices that Dabi is awake. – "Excuse me my lord, it seems that someone woke up."- After these words, the guy takes a syringe and goes to the room where Dabi is.
In a desperate attempt to escape, Dabi opens the window of the room, luckily the room was at ground level, so escape will be easy, unfortunately the guy enters the room before Dabi manages to escape. – "What a naughty boy... can't you see it's time to sleep?" - The guy said while approaching Dabi with the syringe, which is probably a sedative.
Desperate, all Dabi does is close his eyes and reflexively point his hands at the guy.
Suddenly, a large amount of blue fire shoots out from Dabi's hands, the amount is so great that the entire place starts to burn, without missing the opportunity Dabi escapes through the window.
Once away from the place, Dabi feels that his arms hurt, turning to see them, he can notice that the fire has caused a couple of burns, one on each arm, enduring the pain, Dabi turns to see the place where he was held one last time and can see how people begin to approach, not wanting problems, Dabi decides to run from the place.
Ten years later.
A couple of thugs are incinerated by blue flames, the cause is Dabi, already with his current appearance. – "I've been wandering these last ten years in search of my past... and I still can't find anything."- Dabi thought as he turned to look at his arm, a new burn added to his body. – "Who exactly I am?"-
Dabi leaves the alley in which he was, in that he can notice that something was happening on the big screen. – *It seems that this time you won, but no, the victory is mine even if it doesn't seem like it. You better spread this message all over Japan: The Hero Killer is part of the Villain League, and there will be nothing and no one, not even the chosen ones, that can defeat us! * - Shigaraki, transformed into Duskmon, carrying an unconscious Stain said before disappearing into a purple mist, after this, the reporter continues with the news.
- "Villain League… maybe there I will find answers..."-

After Dabi's attack, a fist of ice emerges from the smoke, it hits Dabi in the face, causing him to fly out and crash into a column of earth mixed with ice, Dabi tries to recover from the blow, but some ice emerges from the column, capturing Dabi.
Geten emerges from the smoke of Dabi's attack. – "You have done well, bearer of the blue flames! But this ends here! Your body has been stinking of burnt meat for a while now. Judging from your current state and your body... that tells me that your body can't handle your own flames, right?"- Geten creates a gigantic mass of ice. – "Let's see if you can resist this!"- Geten throws the ice at Dabi.
- "Dabi! Let's switch!"- Grumblemon said from Dabi's mind, but Dabi ignored him. – "I already told you! I will defeat this guy!"- Dabi releases more fire and with that he manages to free himself, once the ice was close, Dabi counterattacks with his own fire attack which rivaled the ice attack, starting a struggle between attacks.
As the struggle of the attacks occurs, Dabi's vision is getting blurrier, exhaustion is taking over his body. After blinking, for Dabi, the place changed completely, he was no longer in Deika facing Geten, now he is in a forest, completely surrounded by a fire, it was clearly a memory from his life, but the strangest thing is that this memory is from before he woke up in the hospital.
This memory made Dabi lower his guard, who stopped expelling fire for a few seconds, however this was enough for Geten to take advantage and manage to win the struggle of attacks, crushing Dabi with a large amount of ice.
Before Dabi fell unconscious, in front of him, as if it were an illusion or hallucination, Dabi could see a family standing right in front of him, the father is a large and muscular man, next to the father was his wife and in the woman's arms was a small child, next to both parents two other children were standing, a girl and a boy, the girl seemed to be the older of the two, but the most surprising thing is that the faces of all the family were blurred, Dabi couldn't recognize them.
The family extends their arms towards Dabi, as if they wanted to grab him, but Dabi's vision was getting darker and darker, he tries to take their hands. – "Toya..."- It was the last thing Dabi heard before falling into unconsciousness.
Geten watches as Dabi's body is crushed by the large amounts of ice. – "That's for Curious and Skeptic, their deaths were not in vain."- He said, but suddenly Geten watches as the ice begins to crack. – "Wha…"- Geten didn't finish saying anything as part of the ice breaks and a figure shoots out of the ice, the figure moved so fast that Geten couldn't see who it was.
- "Now is my turn."- A voice behind Geten said, when he turned around, he could see Grumblemon behind him.
- "What the hell are you?"- Geten asked.
- "That is none of your business, you will die soon."- Grumblemon said. Geten attacks with a block of ice, but Grumblemon destroys it with a swing of his Grotte hammer. – "Those attacks won't do anything against me!"- Grumblemon said as he approached Geten and hit him with his Grotte Hammer, Geten goes flying and crashes into a column of ice and earth, recovering at the perfect moment to barely dodge another attack from Grumblemon.
Geten lands on a platform of ice, quickly blasting more ice at Grumblemon, who dodges the thrown attacks, hitting Geten once more with his hammer. – "Let's end this once and for all! Grumblemon slide digivolve to… Gigasmon!"- Grumblemon quickly transforms into the earth beast spirit.
Gigasmon's design is derived from the mythological Giant. It also has a bulbous nose, like the mythological Troll. – "Time to put an end to this fight!"-
- "His appearance changed!"- Geten thought but wasted no time and attacked with a giant chunk of ice.
Gigasmon didn't do anything to dodge the attack, however using his hands he manages to stop the block of ice in its tracks. – "Tectonic Slam!"- Gigasmon hits the ice block with his fists, destroying it in thousands of pieces. Geten tries to attack again, but Gigasmon appears in front of him and punches him in the body which makes him fly and go through one of the columns of ice and earth.
Geten, with difficulty gets up from the ground and spits up some blood, his hood has fallen off revealing his face. He possesses pale, messy ice blue hair of varying lengths and blue eyes that are framed by a set of long eyelashes that are somewhat the same color of his hair.
Geten lets out a groan of pain as he feels that, with Gigasmon's attack, several of his ribs were broken. Geten fights back the pain and prepares to launch another attack. – "You won't beat me! I am the strongest here..."- However, before he can do anything, Gigasmon hits him again with another punch, this time leaving him on the ground quite injured.
- "You are strong... but you made the mistake of challenging us!"- Gigasmon raises his fist.- "Now Die!"- After those words, with a punch, Gigasmon crushes his opponent's skull, killing him in the process. – "One problem less... but another starts... Dabi is beginning to recover his memories... well it doesn't matter, as long as I remain in his mind, he will continue to be loyal to Tomura."-

Stain kills two other people who try to attack him. – "Damn... these people never stop showing up, every time we kill someone two others seem to appear out of nowhere."- He thought, in that a pair of people take him by surprise and manage to catch him.
Stain is surrounded by little more than 20 people, in front of all of them is Trumpet. – "Stain, the Hero Killer… I will never understand how someone like you would join a group like the League of Villains..."- Trumpet said.
Stain manages to free himself from the two people who trapped him, killing them at the same time. - "That's none of your business."- Stain said.
- "In the Meta Liberation Army our objective is clear…"- Trumpet said. – "We want the freedom to use our meta abilities! We will not let the sacrifice of Curious, Skeptic and Geten be in vain!"- Trumpet said using a loudspeaker, as he said that, people felt inspired by his words. – "You are a good hand-to-hand combatant, but your fighting skills lie in fighting few people and the more people you fight at the same time, the harder it will be for you to defeat them! Everyone! Defeat the Killer of Heroes! Do it for Re-Destro!"-
All the people around Stain charge at him, he barely manages to dodge the people, he also failed to kill any of the people who attacked him, suddenly someone manages to grab him by the leg and catch him again, another person hits him in the face. Stain falls to the ground, but quickly recovers. – "They got stronger all of a sudden! Is it because of that guy's quirk?"- Stain thought as he looked at Trumpet.
Koku Hanabata, aka Trumpet.
Meta Ability: Incite.
Koku's Meta Ability lines his voice with an electromagnetic pulse. If someone who considers Koku a worthy leader hears his voice, then their physical and mental state will be significantly enhanced. The louder Koku's voice is, the more effective his Meta Ability becomes. Using this power to strengthen someone takes a toll on the recipient's body.
Stain again dodges the group of people attacking him, this time managing to kill two people. – "This is very annoying..." –
- "Destro's dream, now wounded by Re-Destro will come true!"- Trumpet said. – "We will sacrifice ourselves to fulfill it!"- Hearing those words, people start to feel stronger and manage to corner Stain and start beating him.
Stain manages to kill a couple of people and paralyze others, but there were still enough to defeat him alone, as Trumpet said, his weakness is facing a large group of people. – "Or that was my weakness... but now I have you."- After thinking that Stain is surrounded by black mud and once that lode disappears in his place is Mercurymon, who in one movement send flying all the people who had him cornered. – "Time to end this!"- Mercurymon said.
Trumpet is shocked to see this. – "What is this?! I have never seen anything like this!"- He thought.
People attack Mercurymon again, but Mercurymon easily dodges them all while killing others. – "Your dream... you have your own dreams."- Mercurymon fires several beams from its mirrors at people, killing them in the process. – "Well guess what! We are also working to fulfill, not a dream, but a goal! And we'll do whatever it takes to get it... Mercurymon slide digivolve to... Sakkakumon!"- Mercurymon said while transforming into Sakkakumon.
Sakkakumon's design is modeled after the sephiroth. Each of Sakkakumon's ten spheres corresponds to one of the ten elements, and its central Tiferet sphere bears the Crest of Light while its topmost Keter sphere bears the Zero Unit.
- "But unlike you... we are already very close to fulfilling it."- Sakkakumon rises above the people and Trumpet.
Trumpet stares at Sakkakumon helplessly, so much so that he even drops the megaphone. – "What's this? It looks...wonderful! Have I been helping the wrong side all this time?"- Trumpet thought when he saw Sakkakumon.
- "It is time for you to meet your end."- Sakkakumon said while charging a fire attack. Trumpet kneels before Sakkakumon, accepting his fate. – "Atomic Inferno!"- Using Aldamon's attack; he releases thousands of rocketing fireball missiles, killing all the people who were close to his attack range, including Trumpet.
- "You are just a pebble in our path."- Sakkakumon said.

Re-Destro is watching everything through the window of the central tower. – "And now Trumpet falls... it's a shame, they were all good soldiers."- He said.
- "Now what will you do? You've already lost your four leaders, only you remain."- A Giran tied to a chair said.
- "Leaders can be replaced, as long as everyone follows our ideals, new leaders will rise."- Re-Destro said.
- "Even so... Of the high command of the goal liberation army, only you remain, while the league has not lost anyone."- Giran said.
- "Like I said... new leaders will rise, Curious, Trumpet, Skeptic and Geten... all of them have sacrificed themselves to fulfill Destro's dream."- Re-Destro said. – "I will not let those sacrifices be in vain, the league will be destroyed by us and when we win, I will take four of the most faithful who survive this battle and together with them we will rebuild the army." –
- "I want to throw up."- Getting out of the elevator, Shigaraki, transformed into Duskmon, said.
- "I see that the league has some very interesting surprises."- Re-Destro said without looking at Shigaraki. – "Four member of the league can turn into those strange forms... it was to be expected that you could also turn into one of those forms."-
- "I warned you that all that remains of your army will be blood and dust, I'm not going to settle for less."-
Re-Destro turned to see Shigaraki, but now his body was covered in various black marks, his shirt ripped as his arm grew, as well as being covered in black marks. – "And I told you that the league will be destroyed!"- Re-Destro attacks Shigaraki with a punch, but Shigaraki dodges it, even so the punch was strong enough to destroy the elevator.
Rikiya Yotsubashi, aka Re-Destro.
Meta Ability: Stress.
Rikiya's Meta Ability allows him to store up any fear, anger and/or frustration he feels and convert it into raw power. When Re-Destro accesses this meta ability, his size and strength increase significantly.
- "As I guessed... you are the strongest, that's why you are the supreme commander of the army."- Shigaraki said as he landed in front of Re-Destro.
Re-Detro's entire body increases in muscle while all of his clothing is ripped apart, leaving only his pants intact, his entire body covered by black markings. - "I inherited Destro's will! I will fulfill your dreams even if it's the last thing I do! The destruction of the League of Villains is the first step to liberation!"-
- "You have guts, I'll admit that... but the only one that will be destroyed here will be your pathetic attempt at an army!"- Shigaraki said.
Both are ready to fight and charge at each other, outside the tower everyone can see how it explodes from the inside.
