Family of Two.
Chapter 192: Michelle and her daughter.
(The Loud House.)
It's now February 23, and the sun is making the house look like life is about to get better for the residents from within.
Right now someone wakes up from her room, which was once the bed room of the former older louds, and now is the room to someone else and this girl with silver hair wakes up and yawns, she then gets out of bed and is wearing a light green shirt and shorts and fluffy bunny slippers.
She then looks around and she realizes something. "Right, I have a new home now. This is something I need to get used to." She then looks to the bed she's been sleeping on which was once the bed for Lori.
The girl's name: Delilah Lewis Loud.
What the heck?! What happened?!
Well, it happened the other day after Delilah came to apologize for her actions alongside Sasha Alabaman and the other inmates who nearly scarred Lincoln, Luna and Lori permanently, but the Louds can see that Delilah didn't mean to do it and was consumed by rage and hatred against the girl who framed her for the crime and that person is Leslie Silver.
After saying her reasons and apologizing for her actions, the three louds felt bad for her and forgive her, but trust is something else and that's when Michelle Lewis Loud had the idea and asked Delilah if she wanted to stay with them… With her, and become a daughter towards Michelle.
Of course, Delilah didn't say anything and just embraced this woman, even though she doesn't know why she would be accepted into the louds, she just went all in and didn't think it through.
Delilah finishes making her bed and she recalls the words from the other day, after they had that picnic they went to see Detectives Merris and StoneHeart and met up at the allied outpost and they spoke about the adoption papers and that's when Delilah had doubt about the whole plan.
But she didn't wanna turn down this chance to be part of a family, and yet she questions why she was chosen by them. She just came back to apologize and it turned into something else.
She recalls what Michelle told her. "Delilah… Someone such as you, you may have done wrong things but you truly and deeply regret them and would do whatever it takes to be trusted to the good folks who once knew you and though some of those folks might not be around now. There are others who can try and trust you, just like me."
Delilah then sees the picture to this. 'So, Michelle and I seem to have some common grounds.
Then she hears someone knock on the door. "Who is it?"
"It's me, Delilah. Can I come in?" asked Michelle.
"Alright." Delilah then finishes cleaning her bed and she sees the woman who took her in come into the room and has this warm smile on her face, a smile that Delilah once saw long ago from her mother.
Michelle goes over and places a hand on Delilah's cheek. "How're you holding up, sweetie?"
Delilah has some tears and she embraces her. "Doing fine… Mom, doing alright and I'm glad to be here, with you and the others."
Michelle chuckles. "Sam here, same here." She kisses Delilah's forehead and she hugs her too, and runs her hand through the silvery hair of the teen. 'This must be how Luna feels when she has this moment with Lincoln, sure as heck feels nice.'
They are unaware that someone has phased through the door. "Good morning you two."
This startles Michelle, but frightens Delilah and she hides behind the woman, Michelle then looks to Harriet. "A little heads up next time please?"
Harriet nods. "Sorry. But I came to inform you both that breakfast is downstairs and ready, and so are Lincoln and Luna." she then looks to the teen hiding behind Delilah, she knows that Delilah is scared after her last encounter with her at juvie.
"I cannot blame you for fearing me. I guess I did place a massive fear factor into you, but I assure you that I am friendly now and only a threat to those who would dare bring harm to this family, and even though you Delilah Silver have done wrong, you are now family and I can forgive you."
Delilah nods nervously while hugging behind her mother. "Y-Yes…. O-Okay." With that, Harriet takes her leave and Michelle turns around and sees the tears in Delilah's eyes.
Michelle embraces her daughter and does what she can to sooth her. "Shh. Easy does it, Delilah it's over now, everything's fine and I assure you that Harriet is not a threat to you."
Delilah just cries onto her mother's shoulder. "I'm… I'm so, so sorry… But, I can't be able t-to handle h-her…. Mom." she hugs her tightly and doesn't let go.
Michelle can see that this is a problem and she needs to figure something out. 'Well, looks like it's time to be like Luna. Wow, I can't believe I just said that.'
(Later.)
Michelle and Delilah come down stairs and Delilah is dressed for the day. She's wearing a white t-shirt with light green jacket, light green mini-skirt and black leggings, along with white socks and brown shoes.
As she comes down she looks around for any signs of the ghost of the house, and she sees nothing. But she does see Lincoln and Luna, dressed for the day and with their school things and the duo smile at the sight of Delilah. "Good morning Delilah."
Delilah smiles. "Good morning guys, I see you two are off to school, right?"
Luna nods. "We're ready for today, and we wished you could come with us, but as your mom said."
Michelle then continues for her. "You start tomorrow, because today, I wanna spend time with you kiddo, and we start here in the house and then we head off someplace else and I am grateful that Mrs. Carmichael gave me another day off."
Delilah then goes over and hugs Lincoln and Luna. "Thanks again for letting me be part of this family, this means so much to me and I don't know how else I can repay you both!"
Lincoln and Luna smile from this and embrace her as well. "Delilah, the only thing we want from you is to keep living to what you wanna be for the future and to try to gain the trust from those who believe you can be redeemed" replied Lincoln.
"Linc is right dude" replied Luna. "We know that you can be redeemed and no matter what happens, we'll have your back, and we're family after all."
Delilah is touched by this, she wipes away a tear and they depart from the hug. Then Luna looks to her phone. "Well, we gotta high tail it outta here to school." she grabs her car keys and looks to Michelle and Delilah. "Have fun today you two and stay out of trouble."
"We will Luna" replied Michelle.
They watch as Luna and Lincoln walk out of the house and they head into the car and drive off to school.
Delilah looks to her mother, Michelle. "Mom, where is the well, the ghost?"
Michelle sighs. "I told her to let us be for the day, and she said she'll be home late in the night, reasons is something to do with speaking to deceased relatives again. To be honest, we don't know where she normally goes when she's not around and we're always confused by this thing she does."
Delilah is also curious, but she too doesn't ask further. "Well, we should get something to eat, and then we can spend some time together right?"
Michelle hugs Delilah and kisses her forehead. "There's nothing else I'd like to do today, than to spend it with you, sweetie."
Let the fun times begin!
(Montage.)
Michelle and Delilah enjoy eating the pancakes that were made by Harriet and they enjoy eating it while watching some TV, which were reruns of the Dream Boat, and both Michelle and Delilah are fans of the show and have a liking for Brad, the cool and calm guy on the show.
The next thing they do is go through some pictures in the photo album and Michelle asks Delilah when she was born, which is at August 29, and Delilah is surprised that Michelle has the teen's birth certificate and all thanks to the Detectives.
They take a few fun selfies and play some board games and talk about some of the magazines their reading and then proceed with the daily chores of the house, and it turns out, Delilah is a pretty hard working teen, she is good at cleaning around the house.
(End montage.)
(Ketcham Park.)
After some nice bonding time at the Loud House, Delilah and Michelle now make their way down the path in the park and enjoy the time they have before Michelle goes back to work tomorrow and the same time Delilah starts her first day at Middle School.
They sit by the fountain and enjoy some ice-cream they bought earlier and thankfully, there aren't much folks at the park. But they do see Elena D. Pingrey reading a book with her daughter, Lily and both are by the flower garden.
Delilah looks around. "Dang. This town sure knows how to have a peaceful park, unlike the one in Tuscola. It's never peaceful and all because of… Leslie Silver." she really hates that name and recalls the mean stuff Leslie says about the folks in the park.
Michelle places a hand on Delilah's shoulder. "Kiddo, calm down. Take it easy and don't let her get to ya. Leslie is not here, it's just you and me here, in Ketcham Park. So, just relax and calm down, alright?"
Delilah nods. "Yeah, sorry about that mom. I guess I'm still trying to get over my past, and it's not an easy thing to do."
Michelle decides to ask her something else, to lighten the mood. "So, what do you plan to do when you head to Middle School tomorrow?"
Delilah thinks about this. "Well, I wanna try out the clubs they have and one of them is something that could work and I hope is there… Debate club, and chess club and if they do have one, tech club."
Michelle smiles hearing this. "Wow. You are really into the smarts and stuff huh?"
Delilah shrugs. "I'm a smart kid, mom and a dang good grade A student, and I attempt to be the grade A student as I was before, and to also make you proud of me, mom."
Michelle pulls Delilah close and wipes away the ice cream on her cheek. "I'm already proud, proud that you're my daughter and dang proud that you're my daughter and that we both can be a family. Like Lincoln and Luna are, because together…."
"We can understand how much we've been through and see how we can be redeemed and be better people." Delilah then hugs her mother. "Thanks mom, you're the best."
Hearing that makes Michelle feel so warm inside and she hugs her back. Now she knows how it truly feels to be a mom when the kid is truly happy to be with that said parent and now Michelle likes the feeling and hopes for more of this.
(Later.)
Michelle is now waiting by the bench, while Delilah went off to use the restrooms and Michelle is sending a text message and the selfies of her daughter and herself to her family, Bernardo Lewis Sr. He has to right to know about his adopted great granddaughter.
"I hope he can be able to see Delilah, before he has to go." Michelle was worried about that one.
But then her thoughts were snapped out as she hears Delilah. "Delilah?!" she gets up and goes towards her and what she sees angers her.
Right there, scolding her daughter and pulling on her arm, is the wretched annoyance of the town, Selena Williams and still holding her wheel barrow of fliers for her stupid mayor election and junk.
Now Michelle is pissed off, and she marches towards the scenario. "Hey! Let her go, now!"
Selena then sees Michelle. "Great, a Loud. Leave me to my work, and let me take this delinquent to school, where she belongs!" Delilah tries to pull her arm away from this woman.
"Mom!"
Michelle then removes Selena's hand from her daughter. "She is my kid and I'm watching over her! I already made the call to the principal that she'll enroll on the following day! Now, leave us the hell alone!"
Delilah hides behind her mom and holds her hand.
Selena Williams was not gonna have this. "No. She should be in school now and doing her work and her studies and judging by the way she is, she needs more than school. She should be in an all-girls school and taught how to be a proper lady and not some teen dressed as some hoodlum."
Michelle is so close to beating this woman up. "M-Mom?" Michelle looks towards Delilah and sees her concern. "We should go back home… Now, please."
"No! You're going to school!" Selena then garbs Delilah, but only to be slapped in the face by Michelle Lewis. Selena steps back and feels the stinging pain on her right cheek. "How dare you?! You cannot slap me! I am the future mayor of this town and I am the higher authority! I will have you arrested for this!"
"For defending her daughter?" The woman turns around and sees Officer Tristen, Officer Schoffner and Merris and StoneHeart. "Jeez. Why can't you just leave the good folks alone for once?"
"No! Not you horrible people again! I will not stand for…" But Selena is hand cuffed by two other cops. "No! Let me go! Do you know who I am?!"
"Someone who is going to get a whole lot to pay for ruining the peace… Again" replied Schoffner and they escort Selena Williams into the squad car and drive off.
Michelle hugs her daughter, and then she looks to StoneHeart and Merris. "Thanks for helping us."
"Don't thank us" replied StoneHeart. "Thank her."
Delilah and Michelle turn around and see Elena D. Pingrey with her daughter Lily in her arms. "I saw Selena Williams an hour ago and so I called the cops and the detectives to come down here and handle the crisis she was going to begin and I was right. Are you two okay?"
Michelle nods as she comforts her daughter. "We are, and thank you so much, Elena."
Elena nods. "Of course, after all. We mothers with kids have to stick together." She then kisses Lily's cheek. "And the one thing that is important to us, is the safety and happiness of our children."
Michelle nods and she looks to her still startled daughter and she hugs her tightly and kisses her forehead. 'Yeah, keeping our kids safe, keeping my little girl safe and sound and making sure she's happy and a fully redeemed person.'
'And to keep her away from the dark path I once took. Delilah, I will not let you ruin your future and go down the dark road, I will help you and so will the others, because we're family and you are family, you are a Lewis Loud.'
(Later, the Loud House.)
After a whole day of school, Lincoln and Luna are back and they come into the house and look around. "Huh, still no Michelle and Delilah. You think they're in the park?" asked Lincoln.
"Possibly, but I do have this theory on where they are." Luna walks past the kitchen and Lincoln follows her and they open the door to the backyard and both smile at what they see. "Well, looks like I was right."
In the backyard, on the hammock is Michelle Lewis and next to her is her daughter, Delilah Lewis and the duo are fast asleep in each other's embrace. A moment between mother and daughter.
Lincoln and Luna smile seeing this, and both are thinking of the same thing. 'Yup, just like us.' then take some pics of this, for the album and they walk back into the house, letting Michelle and Delilah enjoy this peaceful time together.
As the two in common Lewis Louds to the new Loud Family.
A/N: Delilah has a long way to go before she can be trusted into the family, and going to school will be a challenge for her, maybe. Let's find out in the next chapter. Leave a review and tell me what you all think.
Thanks again Marvelomac1010. Is it just me, or has this guy been coming up with way too many ideas and requests for all 4 of my stories?
