Chapter 44.
Mission Accomplished.
- "It's time for round two!"- Shinso said to Diaboromon. The fight against Diaboromon has been difficult, but thanks to his perseverance, Shinso has managed to unlock his fusion spirit BeoWolfmon. – "I have been secretly training to be able to unlock this form. Although it is the first time I use it."-
- "Interesting…"- Diaboromon said. – "But that won't be enough to defeat me! Catastrophe Cannon!"- Diaboromon fires three shots from its chest cannon.
Shinso doesn't move and points his left arm at the shots. – "Cleansing Light!"- Quickly firing several light missiles from his missile pod on his arm. The missiles and shots collide with each other creating an explosion and a gigantic smoke screen. Shinso takes advantage of this and charges at Diaboromon, who does the same. Diaboromon attacks with its claws, but Shinso quickly dodges the attack and prepares to counterattack. – "Beo Saber!"- Using his weapon, Trinity, Shinso punches Diaboromon in the stomach, sending it flying and crashing into a rock, destroying it in the process.
Diabroromon quickly recovers and charges at Shinso, ready to attack with his claws. Shinso uses his sword to block Diaboromon's attacks, starting an exchange of attacks which are blocked by both sides. Diaboromon attacks with his claws, while Shinso attacks with his sword.
After several exchanges of attacks, both take a distance.
- "I need to free Dukemon... this way we can beat not only this guy, but Belphemon as well."- Shinso thought.
- "This guy is strong... but not as strong as me."- Diaboromon thought.
They both charge again and again clash attacks, sword against claws.

Chosen Ones vs Belphemon.
Izuku, in his Aldamon form, and Belphemon clash attacks again, fire punch against fire engulfed claws, an explosion occurs, and they both fall back a distance from each other.
Behind Izuku appear Melissa, Todoroki, and Kaminari, who have their attacks ready.
– "Ice Cannon!"- Todoroki fires a blast of ice from his mouth.
- "Plasma spheres!"- Melissa concentrates red energy spheres in her hands and feet, launching them against Belphemon.
- "Electron Cannon!"- Kaminari fires an extremely high-speed positron laser from the gun turret on his head.
Belphemon is hit by all four attacks, however he manages to withstand them leaving just a few wounds. Belphemon lets out a mighty roar and charges back at the chosen ones. – "Lightning Horn!"- Attacking Melissa with his horns surrounded by electricity. Todoroki and Kaminari try to attack Belphemon, but Belphemon uses his chains to catch them. – "Lampranthus!"- Engulfing the chains with black fire, Belphemon smashes both Chosen Ones into the ground.
- "D*mn you!"- Izuku says as he punches Belphemon in the face. – "Corona Blaster!"- To quickly shoot several times at Belphemon using the Rudriya Darpana.
After the shots Belphemon charges at Izuku, horns to the front. – "Dark Horn!"- Belphemon attacks Izuku with his horns, but Izuku sets his hands on fire and manages to stop Belphemon's attack. After struggling for a while, both separate again.
– "Gift of Darkness! / Drag Fanger!"- Belphemon attacks again with his claws engulfed in fire while Izuku is covered in fire and charges at Belphemon, the attacks collide, and another explosion occurs creating a smoke screen. Without giving the smoke time to disappear, they both fly upwards while exchanging blows.
Upon reaching the roof of the place, Belphemon tries to hit Izuku with a "Gift of Darkness", however the attack is dodged destroying the roof of the mine, giving more space for the two to continue fighting in the air.

Outside the mine.
BanchoLeomon and ShineGreymon find themselves fighting Titamon. The enemy Digimon attacks with his sword while ShineGreymon blocks the attacks with his own.
- "Phantom Blade! / GeoGrey Sword!"- Both swords collide creating a large gust of wind as they do so, both digimon begin to struggle, but in that ShineGreymon begins to accumulate energy in his wings. – "It's the moment! Glorious Burst!"- Quickly shooting all the accumulated energy against Titamon, making him go back a few steps, which BanchoLeomon took advantage of, gaining momentum on ShineGreymon's sword, he attacks Titamon.
- "Burning Bantyo Punch!"- Quickly attacking Titamon with a powerful punch with a burning soul. Titamon tries to defend himself with his sword, but the attack is so strong that it causes the sword to break.
- "It's time to end this!"- ShineGreymon said. – "Glorious Burts!"- Again shooting energy from its wings at Titamon. This time Titamon couldn't withstand the attack, exploding into data after receiving it.
- "Good work!"- BanchoLeomon said. – "Keep supporting the rest, I'll support the rest of my team!"- Before BanchoLeomon can enter the mine, an explosion catches everyone's attention.
The explosion opened a hole in the mine, from that hole Belphemon and Izuku come out, who continue exchanging blows in the air, behind them also come Melissa, Todoroki, and Kaminari, who support Izuku with ranged attacks against Belphemon.
- "Belphemon!"- ShineGreymon said.
- "My team and one of the chosen ones are missing!"- BanchoLeomon said. – "ShineGreymon tries to help them, I'll enter the mine!"-
- "Yes!"- ShineGreymon said while going to help the Chosen Ones.
BanchoLeomon meanwhile enters the mine. – "I hope my team is okay..."-

BAN-TYO vs Darkdramon.
The BAN-TYO continue their fight against Darkdramon, the fight is even and neither side seems to have the advantage, although the balance is gradually leaning towards Darkdramon, thanks to his great speed and destructive attacks.
Darkdramon fires several lasers from his eyes at the BAN-TYO, who just dodge the attacks. When the attack ends, the BAN-TYO go into attack position. – "Formation 4, now."- BanchoGolemon is the first to attack, using his excavator to attack Darkdramon, who uses his Lance to defend himself against BanchoGolemon's attack, once both attacks collide the two Digimon begin to struggle, but in that BanchoLillymon manages to catch Darkdramon with her yo-yo, immobilizing him completely, this gives BanchoMamemon and BanchoStingmon a chance to attack, BanchoMamemon attacks with his weapons while BanchoStingmon attacks with his drills, dealing quite a bit of damage to Darkdramon, finally BanchoGolemon finishes off Darkdramon with his excavator, knocking him down.
However, Darkdramon has not yet been defeated, getting up again and attacking the BAN-TYO, first he manages to hit BanchoGolemon with his Lance, sending him flying and causing him to fall to the ground a few meters behind. BanchoStingmon and BanchoMamemon try to attack him, but Darkdramon blocks the attacks with his Lance and quickly counters by firing lasers from his eyes at his opponents. Seeing her teammates being knocked down, BanchoLillymon tries to attack Darkdramon with several kicks, however, Darkdramon manages to block the attacks and hit her with his Lance to send her against the wall.
Darkdramon begins to charge up dark energy, ready to fire at the BAN-TYO, but his Lance is deflected by a sword strike, causing the shot to hit the ceiling. BanchoLeomon has come to help his teammates. – "Darkdramon!"- BanchoLeomon said.
- "BanchoLeomon! This finally got interesting!"- Darkdramon said while charging at BanchoLeomon. – "Gigastick Lance!"- Quickly attacking with his weapon.
BanchoLeomon does the same. - "Lion Slash!"- Attacking with his sword.
Both attacks collide, causing both Digimon to recoil from the heavy impact of the clash. - "Dark Roar! / Burning Bantyo Punch!"- Darkdramon fires dark energy from his spear, while BanchoLeomon attacks with a punch wrapped in a burning aura.
Once the two attacks collide, an explosion occurs, but to Darkdramon's surprise, BanchoLeomon's attack overwhelms his and manages to hit him in the face. - "Damn... the fight with the rest of the BAN-TYO weakened me."- Darkdramon thought.
- "Time to end this! BAN-TYO reunite!"- BanchoLeomon orders, in that the rest of the BAN-TYO are placed behind him. BanchoLillymon and BanchoGolemon place their hands on BanchiLeomon's shoulders. BanchoStingmon and BanchoMamemon place their hands on BanchoLillymon's and BanchoGolemon's shoulders respectively. The four BAN-TYO begin to pass their energy to BanchoLeomon. – "Get ready Darkdramon, this is the BAN-TYO's special move!"- BanchoLeomon said.
- "You can't win against me!"- Darkdramon yelled as he prepared another attack. – "Gigastick Lance!"- Surrounding his Lance with dark energy, Darkdramon charges at the BAN-TYO.
- "Flash Bancho Punch!"- Using the energy of the BAN-TYO, BanchoLeomon releases a fist packed with fighting spirit honed to its utmost limit. Both attacks collide and both begin to struggle. – "It's over, Darkdramon! You can't beat us if we're united!"-
Darkdramon begins to lose the struggle. – "I'm not going to give up..."-
- "In that case... I'm sorry, but this is your end."- BanchoLeomon said as he increased the power of his attack, finally surpassing Darkdramon's power.
- "Damn... in the end I was defeated..."- They were Darkdramon's last thoughts before exploding into data.
- "Good job BAN-TYO, let's take a break and then help the chosen ones,"- BanchoLeomon said.

Shinso vs Diaboromon.
Shinso and Diaboromon continue their battle, clashing attacks, sword against claws. Diaboromon is quite elusive since he is constantly jumping from one place to another, making it difficult to block attacks and to hit him, for his part Shinso has the necessary reflexes to block Diaboromon's attacks, but has difficulty hitting him, since Diaboromon it is quite fast.
Diaboromon drives off the roof, ready to hit Shinso, Shinso manages to see the attack and prepares to block it, however at the last moment Diabormon changes direction and manages to take Shinso by surprise, instead of hitting him, he gives a I spin to bounce off the wall hitting Shinso in the back.
Shinso tries to hit Diaboromon with his sword, but Diaboromon quickly moves away to jump all over the place again. – "It's so annoying... I won't be able to hit him if he keeps jumping like that."- Shinso thought.
- "What's the matter? You can't hit me?"- Diaboromon says as he keeps jumping all over the place.
- "It might be hard to hit you, but still... I won't give up!"- Shinso says as he points his left arm at Diaboromon. – "I will limit the battlefield! Cleansing Light!"- From his missile pod, Shinso begins to fire several missiles which begin to destroy the walls of the mine, causing Diaboromon to return to the ground. At the moment in which Diaboromon manages to land on the ground, Shinso receives him with a sword slash, managing to cut off one of his arms.
- "Damn you! Catastrophe Cannon!"- Diaboromon said firing three shots from his chest cannon, which, this time, Shinso couldn't dodge because he was too close. Without giving Shinso time to recover, Diaboromon approaches him and attacks him with his claws several times, causing several cuts on his body. To later extend his arm and legs to catch Shinso. – "Enough, it's time to eat!"- After saying this, Diaboromon begins to absorb Shinso's data, who can feel how his energy decreases rapidly, while this happens Diaboromon's arm grows back.
Shinso begins to weaken, but he does not give up, taking his sword with force, it begins to shine. – "Let me go! Frozen Hunter!"- When swinging his sword, light energy comes out in the form of a wolf, this energy hits Diaboromon, separating him from Shinso, in addition to giving him several cuts with his claws.
Diaboromon is thrown backwards, with several cuts on his body, rolling on the ground, he quickly recovers and attacks Shinso with his claws. – "Tentacle Bug!"-
Getting to his feet, Shinso grips his sword tightly and prepares to attack Diaboromon. – "Beo Saber!"- Clashing his sword with Diaboromon's claws, the clash causes both of them to be pushed back, but they don't give up, charging again against each other.
The attacks collide again but this time Diaboromon wins the clash and makes Shinso fly backwards. Doing a backflip, Shinso lands on his feet, aims his missile pod and fires several missiles at Diaboromon.
Diaboromon dodges the missiles and points its chest cannon at Shinso. – "Catastrophe Cannon!"- Firing three shots at Shinso again.
Seeing this, Shinso begins to gather light energy into his sword. – "Frozen Hunter!"- Again he swings his sword to make the wolf of light come out of it, hitting Diaboromon's three shots, this time the winner of the clash is Shinso, his wolf manages to hit Diaboromon, sending him back, right in front of where Dukemon is trapped.
Diaboromon stands up again and can see how Shinso throws his sword at him. Avoiding it with ease, Diaboromon laughs. – "You think that took me by surprise, what an idiot you are!"-
However Shinso just smiles. - "I wasn't aiming at you…"-
Diaboromon hears something begin to break behind him, when he turns to look he can see how the glass sphere where Dukemon is trapped begins to break. – "Oh no…"-
Dukemon suddenly opens his eyes, and the sphere explodes, sending Diaboromon flying. Diaboromon gets up and glares at Shinso. – "What have you done?!"- Diaboromon, furious, attacks Shinso, who is tired enough to dodge the attack, however the attack fails to hit its target, instead hitting a metal surface.
In the middle of Diaboromon and Shinso Dukemon appears, with his shield he blocks Diaboromon's attack. – "At last... I am free. It's over, Diaboromon!"- Dukemon said as his shield starts to light up. – "Shield of the Just!"- From the shield a powerful beam emerges, being in front of the shield, the beam hits Diaboromon, making him crash into some debris leaving him quite weak. Diaboromon barely stands up, however he can't do anything else since from one second to another Dukemon's lance pierces his skull.
After tremble for a few moments, Diaboromon's body goes limp and a few seconds later it explodes into data.
After a few seconds of silence Dukemon turns to see Shinso. – "Who are you? I know you are one of the descendants of the ten legendary warriors... but there is something different about you."-
- "I know it sounds weird... but I'm a human."- Shinso said. – "AncientGarurumon chose me to carry the power of his descendants."-
- "Is that so… then what is a human doing here?"- Dukemon said.
- "Me and my friends... chosen by others from the ten warriors, we are helping with the problem of the demon lords, we already helped defeat Beelzemon and Barbamon, now we are helping with Belphemon... although I was separated from my friends."- Shinso explained.
- "Hmm… I'm going to believe you since I feel the energy of other descendants of the ten legendary warriors, in addition to Belphemon as well. I guess it was you who set me free."- Dukemon said.
- "Yes, that's right."- Shinso said.
- "In that case I thank you."- Dukemon said. – "Come on... your friends must need help."-
- "I have little energy left..."- Shinso said.
- "That has a solution."- Dukemon said as he gave some of his energy to Shinso. – "Now, let's go."- Dukemon said as he created a hole in the ceiling with his lance.

Chosen Ones vs Belphemon.
Belphemon hits Izuku in the face making him fall to the ground, but ShineGreymon appears from behind, who came to help, and manages to hit him with the GeoGrey sword, knocking him down.
Belphemon gets up, much more furious than before. - "Enough! It's time to end this! Crest of Sloth, give me your strength!"- At the moment of saying that, a dark blue symbol appears in the sky, the crest of sloth, thanks to this Belphemon begins to recover and increase its strength, a lot. Letting out a roar, Belphemon quickly punches ShineGreymon in the face, knocking him down in one blow.
Todoroki tries to attack him with his ice claws, but Belphemon dodges all of his attacks and upon landing one, Todoroki's claws break due to Belphemon's enhanced defense. Belphemon lets out a derisive snort and punches Todoroki in the face with his fist wrapped in green fire.
Suddenly several shots of electricity hit Belphemon's back, who is unperturbed by the attacks and just turns to see the culprit. Kaminari is firing multiple electric shots at Belphemon, however Belphemon is unaffected by the attacks and quickly charges at Kaminari. – "Dark Horn"- Charging with his horns, sending to fly and fall to the ground several meters behind.
Behind Belphemon, Melissa and Izuku stand next to each other. – "Combined Attack: Cross Fire!"- Melissa creates a tornado, which is engulfed in fire by IzukuMelissa creates a tornado, which is wrapped in fire by Izuku, the tornado is launched against Belphemon and this time the attack does have an effect, unfortunately it only stops it since it does not allow him to see well, since Belphemon does not take damage from the attack, just a few scratches.
However, what was not expected is that ShineGreymon takes advantage of this opportunity to attack him with his sword, which, combined with Izuku and Melissa's attack, manages to do some damage to Belphemon, managing to push him back.
However, this is not enough to defeat Belphemon since using his chains, wrapped in black fire, he catches Melissa and Izuku throwing them against ShineGreymon, who is knocked down. – "It's time to end this!"- Belphemon prepares to attack, but missiles hit him in the back, interrupting his attack.
Turning to see who it was, everyone is surprised to see Shinso, in his BeoWolfmon form. – "It's Shinso!"- Melissa said.
- "He looks different..."- Todoroki said.
- "Did he..."- Izuku said. – "Unlocked your fusion spirit!"-
- "Another one... it doesn't matter even so you won't be able to beat me!"- Belphemon said.
- "We may not... but what about him."- At the moment of saying that Dukemon appears next to Shinso, ready for combat.
- "Dukemon!"- Belphemon said with surprise. – "That means that Diaboromon was defeated... how useless."- However, this didn't stop Belphemon, who quickly covers his claws with green fire and charges at Dukemon. – "Even so... they won't be able to defeat me! Gift of Darkness!"-
Shinso jumps away while Dukemon uses his shield to block Belphemon's attack. Pushing Belphemon with his shield, Dukemon pushes Belphemon away before attacking him with his lance, Belphemon counters with his claws, starting a mid-air fight.
Shinso meets up with the rest of his friends. – "Are you alright?"-
- "Yes, you arrived just in time."- Izuku said. – "I see that you not only unlocked your fusion spirit, but also found the third lost royal knight."-
- "It's a long story... but yes, we are getting stronger."- Shinso said.
Back to the fight, Balphemon and Dukemon continue exchanging blows, only this time Belphemon is on the defensive. – "Die!" -Belphemon attacks but is dodged by Dukemon who points his shield at him.
- "Shield of the Just!"- Dukemon says to then shoot a beam from his shield which makes Belphemon fall to the ground quite hurt.
- "This can't be happening..." – Belphemon thought.
- "This ends here, Belphemon."- Dukemon says as he prepares his final attack. – "Lightning Joust!" - Dukemon's lance is engulfed in holy energy, Dukemon quickly charges at Belphemon at a high speed which prevents Belphemon from dodging the attack, Dukemon hits Belphemon with his lance, dealing heavy damage and destroying half of Balphemon's body.
A few seconds of silence pass where no one moves, after that Belphemon's body explodes in data. The demon lord of sloth is finally defeated.
Everyone breathes a sigh of relief, finally, it's over.

After a few minutes of rest and everyone gathered at the resistance camp, Dukemon approaches the chosen ones, who are already back in their human forms, except for Izuku and Shinso.
- "The moment of truth..."- Izuku says something worried about what might happen. – "Here I go!"- Returning to his human form, Izuku stands with his eyes closed. Opening his eyes slowly Izuku starts checking himself to make sure everything is alright, to his relief everything was alright. – "I'm fine. Nothing happened to me! It seems that I finally get used to the transformation!"-
- "Now is my turn."- Shinso said before returning to his human form, to his relief, he was fine too. – "Well look at that... I'm fine. Not like someone who wasn't ready."-
Izuku was about to reply but is interrupted by Dukemon. – "I see that everyone is fine."- Dukemon turns to see Shinso. – "I thank you human. Now what will you do?"-
- "We will return to our world; we have unfinished business there."- Shinso said.
- "I see…"- Dukemon said.
- "Chosen ones!"- BanchoLeomon said approaching the group. – "We thank you again, thanks to you we have managed to defeat three of the remaining six great demon lords."-
- "We just do our duty as heroes. Help."- Izuku said.
BanchoLeomon smiles. - "And that is why you were chosen. Now I'm going to designate someone to escort you back to the station."-
- "Don't worry, I'll escort them to the station."- Dukemon said.
- "Understood! I leave them in your care Dukemon!"- BanchoLeomon said.
After this conversation, the chosen ones say goodbye to the resistance and together with Dukemon they go to the station.

Folder Station.
Trailmon is awaiting the return of the chosen ones and to his, not so much, surprise, they arrive accompanied by Dukemon. – "You know... at this point I'm not surprised he's coming with you. He is the third royal knight that you help."- He said.
- "Third?"- Dukemon asked.
- "Yes, these guys have helped Magnamon and Omegamon."- Trailmon said.
- "Omegamon is still alive?!"- Dukemon said.
- "Yeah, and these guys helped him, they also helped Magnamon to get his powers back."- Trailmon said.
- "And in gratitude they gave us these."- Izuku said as he and Melissa showed him the digivices that Omegamon and Magnamon gave them.
- "They told us that if we use these they could help us in our fight."- Melissa said.
- "Your fight?"- Dukemon asked.
- "Yes... we haven't told almost anyone about this since we don't want to cause panic... but Lucemon is still alive, and we are facing him."- Izuku said.
- "That bastard is still alive..."-
- "Yes, and that's not all, the reason why there are only five of us is because Lucemon has under his orders the other five descendants of the legendary warriors."- Izuku said.
- "I see... in that case let me offer my help as well." - Dukemon said before looking at Shinso. – "Hitoshi Shinso, please have this."- A light appears in front of Shinso, and a device emerges from it. The device is a relatively bulky hand-sized device. It is controlled with four buttons. A clip hangs from its top on a strap. Its main feature is a slot on its right-hand side, for cards and other objects to be swiped through it. There is also a port for a cable along its top, that allows it to be connected to computers. – "This is a D-Ark, you can use it to call me when you need my help."-
(AN: It is the same Digivice that is used in Digimon Tamers.)
Shinso takes the D-Ark. - "Thank you."-
- "On the contrary, thank you, if it wasn't for you I would still be trapped by Belphemon, Magnamon would not have his powers and Omegamon would still be lost."- Dukemon said.
- "I don't want to be a bother, but you'd better get back to your world."- Trailmon said.
- "Right, come on guys."- Izuku said before getting on Trailmon's wagon, the rest of the chosen ones get on with him. – "It was nice meeting you Dukemon."- Izuku said.
- "I say the same, good luck in your battle and if you need my help do not hesitate to call me."- Dukemon said.
The chosen ones say goodbye to Dukemon and Trailmon leaves for the human world.
Dukemon stares in the direction they left when suddenly. - "They are incredible, right?"- A voice behind him said, turning to see Dukemon he can see his two friends, Magnamon and Omegamon.
Dukemon smiles when he sees his friends and then turns back to see where the chosen ones left. - "Yes… They are."-

Finally, Belphemon is defeated and with that the third digital mission is over.
Dukemon is freed and defeats Belphemon, but not only that, but he also gives Shinso a D-Ark to call him if necessary.
What did you think of the arc?
I really think I've gotten better at writing fights, that's good since the next arc will have quite a few fights.
Speaking of the next arc, with the conclusion of this there are only two more arcs left for the story to end, from the next chapter the war arc begins.
These are the two arcs that remain:
- Return of Lucemon arc. (War arc.)
- Final Battle arc.
Wow, I can't believe we're so close to the end already, I remember starting to write this like it was yesterday...
All sentimentality aside, the next chapter will be a little interlude before the war begins.
