Chapter 48.
The first to fall.
Front Line.
Machinedramon hits the ground hard, which creates a crater in it, Izuku, Todorok and Endeavor manage to dodge the attack by jumping.
- "Attack!"- Endeavor orders as he fires a blast of fire at Machinedramon.
- "Fire Darts!"- Izuku shoots fire from his gauntlets.
- "Ice Age!"- Shoto fires an ice beam from his mouth.
The three attacks collide against Machinedramon; however he is unharmed. – "Is that all you have?!"- Machinedramon said. – "I will show you true power! Giga Cannon!"- Machinedramon quickly fires some energy waves from its two cannons.
The attack hits the ground, creating a huge explosion, luckily Endeavor, Izuku and Todoroki manage to dodge the attack, just barely.
- "D*mn it…"- Endeavor said, in that he can hear Hawks through his communicator.
- *Endeavour! We need reinforcements! The villain identified as Dabi is making things difficult for us with his fire! *- Hawks said.
- "We also have complications!"- Endeavor said while dodging another of Machinedramon's attacks.
- "Endeavor!"- Todoroki said while shooting some ice shreds against Machinedramon. – "I can go!"-
- "We can't afford to lose a man!"- Endeavor said.
- "And if we don't send help we will lose all the team assigned to Fuefuki Dan!"- Todoroki said.
- "Todoroki-kun is right!"- Izuku said. – "If we lose Fuefuki Dan's team, we'll be at a disadvantage!"- Izuku attacks Machinedramon with a fire punch to his face, however Machinedramon is unaffected by the attack.
- "Then the two of us will be at even more of a disadvantage against that thing."- Endeavor said as he launched a blast of fire at Machinedramon, who covers himself with his arm.
- "Then we will have to increase our strength!"- Izuku said as he dodged an attack from Machinedramon, starting to walk on Machinedramon's arm towards his face. – "Agunimon slide digivolve to… BurningGreymon! Crimson Fanger!"- Izuku said at the moment and transform into BurningGreymon and managing to hit Machinedramon in the face, this time the attack did manage to push Machinedramon back.
- "Endeavor... should I go?"- Todoroki said.
After thinking for a few seconds, Endeavor makes a decision. – "Frost! Support Fuefuki Dan's team! Your orders are to defeat the villain Dabi!"-
- "Understood!"- Todoroki said as he headed towards Fuefuki Dan.
- "Where do you think you are going?!"- Machinedramon said as he attacks Todoroki, however the attack is blocked by Endeavor who is surrounded by fire.
- "You're not going to lay a finger on him!"- Endeavor said as he got close to Machinedramon's face. – "Agni!"- When Endeavor said that; Izuku joins his side to attack Machinedramon.
- "Drag Fanger! / Flashfire Fist!"- Both Izuku and Endeavor surround themselves with fire and tackle Machinedramon, who receives the attack squarely, the attack creates a huge explosion.

Shinso vs Stain.
Stain and Shinso clash swords and begin to struggle. Stain pushes his sword against Shinso's, taking advantage of this Stain kicks against Shinso's arm, making him drop one of his two swords.
Shinso takes a few steps back to recover, however Stain doesn't give him the chance as he attacks with a kick to make Shinso take a few steps back. – "Apparently his union with the spirit of steel increased his physical strength without the need to transform..." -
- "Let's go! Is that all you have?!"- Stain said as he attacks Shins with his swords, luckily Shinso's armor protects him from the sword cuts. After several attacks Stain kicks him in the stomach, making Shinso fall to the ground.
- "Damn... I underestimated my enemy for not being transformed... I must start fighting seriously!"- Shinso thought as he recovered from the attack and charged at Stain, taking the sword that Stain made him drop, Shinso and Stain go back to sword fighting.
- "His speed has increased...it seems like he's starting to fight seriously."- Stain thought.
The sword fight continues until the moment they clash swords and begin to struggle, Stain tries to disarm Shinso again, but this time Shino manages to block the attack and turn the situation around, disarming Stain. – "Howling Laser!"- Shinso fires a beam of light from his gun on his wrist, sending Stain flying.
Recovering in midair, Stain lands on his feet. – "Not bad... you're starting to fight seriously. Very well, it's time to fight seriously too!"- Saying this, black mud begins to cover Stain, causing Mercurymon to take his place. – "Lobomon... it's the first time I see you face to face. Unfortunately it will also be the last time!"- After saying this, Mercurymon charges at Shinso.
Shinso tries to defend himself with his swords, however Mercurymon manages to disarm him and starts attacking him with several punches, which are blocked by Shinso, who uses his arms to block the attacks. Mercurymon's attacks were putting Shinso in a bind, who can barely block the attacks, he can't find an opening to fight back. – "They never mentioned Mercurymoon having melee abilities."-
- "What's up Lobomon? You can't fight without your swords?"- Mercurymon asked in a mocking tone. – "Unlike you I stopped depending on my mirrors to fight and I have learned to fight hand to hand."- Saying this, Mercurymon kneed Shinso in the stomach, making him spit saliva and hold his stomach from the blow, which Mercurymon took the opportunity to put his two hands together to make a fist and hit Shinso on the back, making him fall to the ground.
- "Stop depending on my swords... I see now... I've always been depending on the attacks that my transformation already possessed, I've never thought about developing other skills."- Shinso thought as he struggled to his stand up. – "I have to do something that he doesn't expect!"- Shinso thought at the moment of charging Mercurymon, starting to attack him with several punches and kicks.
- "You're starting to fight off the usual... but that won't be enough."- Mercurymon says as he stops defending himself and starts to counter Shinso's attacks, punches and kicks begin to collide.
Mercurymon manages to hit Shinso's face, however he does not back down and manages to deliver a kick to Mercurymon's stomach, both back off from the attacks.
Shinso quickly reloads, a ready punch, however Mercurymon covers himself with one of his mirrors, the attack is absorbed by the mirror, Mercurymon quickly points his second mirror at Shinso, from which Shinso's punch comes out, which hits him in the face. – "I thought you didn't need your mirrors to fight!"- Shinso said while falling to the ground.
- "I said that I no longer depend solely on them, not that I wasn't going to use them."- Mercurymon said.
- "Then..."- Shinso says quietly, using his speed Shinso grabs his swords again and charges at Mercurymon from above.
Mercurymon prepares to attack, however Shinso throws one of his swords which sticks into the ground in front of Mercurymon who is confused by that action.
Shinso attacks Mercurymon with his sword, who prepares his mirror to return the attack, but to his surprise Shinso's attack does not connect, Shinso quickly stands on the sword stuck in the ground and taking advantage of Mercurymon's surprise, he propels himself and manages to hit him, however the attack does not end here, taking advantage of the fact that Mercurymon is stunned by the attack, Shinso shoots his beam of light against him. – "Howling Laser!"- After receiving the attack Mercurymon crashes against a rock.
Mercurymon stands up visibly angry. – "That bastard… You can't defeat me!"- Mercurymon charges Shinso again and begins to attack him again with several punches, however Shinso manages to dodge the attacks and even counterattack with a blow to the stomach making him back off.
Shinso charges at Mercurymon, positioning himself behind him, Mercurymon manages to see this and tries to hit him, however Shinso moves at high speed to appear in front of Mercurymon and kick him in the stomach causing him to crash into another rock.
After a few seconds, the rock is destroyed by Mercurymon, who is increasing his power. – "Now I am furious! Mercurymon slide digivolve to... Sakkakkumon!"- Evolving into Sakkakumon he prepares to attack. – "Wildfire Tsunami!"- From one of the spheres, a blast of fire is shot at Shinso, however Shinso recognizes the attack.
- "It's one of Midoriya's attacks!"- Shinso thought as he dodged the attack.
- "Thats not all! Hurricane Wave!"- Sakkakkumon said at the time that from another sphere, a couple of tornadoes are fired at Shinso.
This time the attack does hit Shinso. – "Now one of Melissa's attacks…"- Shinso thought at the moment of receiving the attack.
- "Come on! This is just getting started!"- Sakkakkumon said. – "Thunder!"- Now from another sphere a lightning is shot.
- "And now Kaminari's… he definitely can use our attacks... but how?"- Shinso thought while dodging the attack. – "That doesn't matter now, I have to defeat him, for that I also have to increase my power!"- Shinso thought as he began to transform. – "Lobomon slide digivolve to… KendoGarurumon!"-
- "Lupine Laser! / Lupine Laser!"- They both screamed and then fired a beam of light, Shinso from his mouth while Sakkakkumon from one of his spheres.
Both attacks collide, but instead of creating an explosion, they start a power fight, pushing each other to see who wins.

The struggle continues for several seconds until... – "Not bad... but I have more tricks. Corona Blaster!"- From another sphere, Sakkakkumon fires several fire shots at Shinso, who receives the attack causing Shinso to cancel his own attack, receiving Sakkakkumon's Lupine Laser.
Recovering from the attack, Shinso readies his sword wings and with great speed charges at Sakkakkumon. – "Howling Star!"-
Sakkakkumon freezes and once Shinso is close enough, placing one of his spheres right in front of Shinso. – "I already know that trick! Wildfire Tsunami!"- A fire tornado shoots out of the sphere, impacting Shinso at point-blank range, causing him to crash to the ground.
Shinso gets up with difficulty. – "It's very annoying... he can use multiple attacks at the same time and in addition to using our attacks, even though they are weaker than ours."-
- "What's up Kendo Garurumon? You can't against me?"- Sakkakkumon said. – "Die! Hurricane Wave!"- Sakkakkumon fires a pair of tornadoes against Shinso.
Shinso jumps up to dodge the attack. – "Lupine Laser!"- And shoots a beam of light from his mouth.
- "Thunder!"- From another sphere Sakkakkumon fires a lightning which collides with Shinso's attack, creating an explosion and raising smoke.
Shinso lands on the ground. – "I can't hurt him... then I'll need to use all my power to defeat him!"- Shinso said as he returned to his human form.
- "What's going on? Have you already given up?!"- Sakkakkumon asked.
- "Of course not!"- Shinso said as he takes his D-Scan.
- "In that case... die!"- Sakkakkumon said.
- "Fusion Evolution! / Lupine Laser!"-
Sakkakkumon's beam of light hits Shinso, creating a smoke screen, however, when the smoke clears, Shinso appears in his BeoWolfmon form, completely unharmed.
- "Fusion spirit... so you can do it too."- Sakkakkumon said.
- "Yes, and now is the moment of your defeat!"- Shinso said as he firmly took his sword, while it begins to shine. – "Frozen Hunter!"- When swinging his sword, light energy comes out in the form of a wolf, this energy charges at Sakkakkumon.
- "Sh*t! Atomic Inferno!"- Using Aldamon's attack, Sakkakkumon creates a large blast of fire, which collides with Shinso's attack, starting a tussle between attacks.
What Sakkakkumon didn't realize is that Shinso's attack is that once launched it is independent of him, so he takes the opportunity to get on top of Sakkakkumon. – "Beo Saber!"- Shinso uses his weapon, Trinity, and charges at Sakkakkumon, Sakkakkumon notices but can't do anything to defend himself, so after several attempts, Shinso finally manages to land an attack on Sakkakkumon. – "I managed to hit him... although this time I didn't use a second attack... the attack he used was that of Midoriya's Aldamon... maybe using an attack from a fusion spirit will make him spend more energy than normal, preventing him from doing a second attack in a row... in that case I know how to beat him!"- Shinso thought as he landed again.
- "D*mn you!"- Sakkakkumon said as he got up. – "Don't think you can beat me! I don't care if you're a fusion spirit, I'll win! Atomic Inferno!"- Sakkakkumon does the same attack again, which was what Shinso wanted.
- "Frozen Hunter!"- Shinso attacks and again both attacks collide, starting another tussle of attacks. Shinso lets this go on for a few seconds, preparing to end the fight quickly. – "Hey, Sakkakkumon!"- Shinso said as he aimed his missile pod at Sakkakkumon. – "Say goodbye! Cleansing Light!" - Shinso fires several missiles at Sakkakkumon, which hit directly against him, without him being able to do anything to avoid it.
Falling to the ground, Sakkakkumon notices a light above him, it's Shinso who has his attack ready.
- "Frozen Hunter!" – Again, the wolf of light attacks Sakkakkumon, but this time it hits its target. – "I'm not over yet!" -Shinso said as he joins his two hands, in that light begins to be generated between his two hands. – "I win! Lupine Laser!"- From his hands, a beam of light is fired at Sakkakkumon, hitting its target which, combined with the light wolf, creates a gigantic explosion.
Shinso lands and once the smoke clears he can see an unconscious Stain on the ground. – "I made it... one down, three more to go. I hope the others manage to beat them."- At that, to his surprise, his D-Scan begins to glow, Shinso takes it. – "What is…"- Shinso doesn't finish speaking as he can see how from Stain's unconscious body, the spirits, beast and human, of steel emerge. – "The spirits of steel…"- To his greatest surprise his D-Scan absorbs the spirits. – "Did I just..."- Shinso smiles. – "I don't feel any different and I don't think I can access the spirits of steel, but at least here they will be safe from falling into the wrong hands again."- Shinso puts away his D-Scna, but at that moment he can feel an evil presence nearby. – "That's... it's coming from where Midoriya is..."- Shinso quickly headed to where Izuku is. – "Hold on... I'm on my way!"-

Izuku and Endeavor vs Machinedramon.
- "Giga Cannon!"- Machinedramon waves energy from his cannons, the attack creates a huge explosion that knocks both Izuku and Endeavor down.
- "Damn it… Fire arrow!"- Endeavor creates a fire arrow but the attack is blocked by Machinedramon, who covers himself with his arm.
- "Die! Giga Cannon!"- Machinedramon fires directly at Endeavor.
- "Endeavor!"- Izuku says as he gets between Endeavor and the attack. – "Fire breaker cannon!"- From Izuku's mouth a sphere of fire is generated, accumulating a lot of fire in it, quickly the sphere releases the fire in the form of a blast which hits against Machinedramon's attack, creating an explosion.
- "What was that?"- Endeavor asked.
- "It's a new attack I developed, I figured I'd need new tricks to deal with these threats, I can't always rely on the same attacks."- Izuku said.
- "I see… that's smart."- Endeavor said as he got up. – "Come on… we have a enemy to defeat…"-
From the smoke created by the explosion, a pair of glowing red eyes are seen, with a wave of his arm, Machinedramon clears the smoke and prepares to attack. – "Giga Destroyer!"- Opening the hatch on his chest, Machinedramon fires a pair of organic missiles.
Izuku and Endeavor jump to dodge the missiles, however, to their surprise, the missiles start following them. They both start to fly to try to avoid the missiles, however they are still following them.
- "Agni!"- Endeavor said, Izuku nods.
They both stop and stand behind each other' back. – "Flashfire Fist! / Wildfire Tsunami!"- Both fire a burst of fire, destroying the missiles that followed them.
- "Damn... this thing has some really annoying techniques."- Endeavor said.
- "And it is quite strong."- Izuku said. – "We haven't been able to hit him hard."-
Machinedramon stares at Izuku and Endeavor. - "With that power you will never be able to defeat me, you won't be able to stop the return of Lord Lucemon!"-
- "Lucemon? It's the first time I hear that name..."- Endeavor said.
Izuku gets nervous. - "Damn... so that's what they're up to, this war is just a diversion... they're trying to bring Lucemon back, that's what Shigaraki is doing! And we only sent five heroes!"-
Endeavor notices Izuku's nervousness. – "Agni... you look nervous, do you know what this thing is talking about?"- Endeavor asked.
- "N-no... it's just... this thing is very strong."- Izuku lied.
- "I guess you're right, for this thing to be very strong... they must have used advanced technology to create it."- Endeavor said.
- "I was not created by anyone! I am Machinedramon! The leader of the Metal Empire! Lord Lucemon's most loyal soldier!"- Machinedramon says as he attacks Izuku and Endeavor with his arm.
- "Agni, at my signal, attack."- Endeavor said as he charged against Machinedramon's attack. – "Prominence Burn!"- Managing to stop the attack with his own, beginning to struggle against Machinedramon. – "Agni!"-
Izuku steps forward and charges directly at Machinedramon. – "I'll attack him with everything I have."- Izuku said as he returned to his human form.
- "A mere human will not defeat me!"- Machinedramon says as he points his cannons at Izuku.
- "Fusion Evolution!" - Izuku is surrounded by data.
- "Giga Cannon!"- Machinedramon fires his cannons at Izuku.
The attack hits Izuku, creating an explosion and kicking up smoke. However, the smoke is quickly dispelled by a flap of wings from Izuku, now in his Aldamon form, who lets out a battle cry while charging at Machinedramon. – "Drag Fanger!"- Surrounding himself with fire, Izuku manages to hit Machinedramon square in the face, knocking him back to the point of falling to the ground. – "I won't let you win!"- Izuku said with determination.
Several Digimon are shocked to see Machinedramon fall to the ground while the heroes are happy to see that.
- "Good job Agni!" – Endeavor said.
- "Keep sharp! This isn't over yet, I just knocked him down, but he's not defeated yet!"- Izuku said.
Machinedramon gets up with some difficulty, the blow that Izuku gave him really hurt him a lot. – "Damn you…"- Machinedramon gets back on his feet and prepares to attack again. – "Don't think that this will be enough to defeat me."-
- "I'm ready if you are!"- Izuku said.
Izuku begins to create a sphere of fire between his hands, while Machiendreamon prepares his cannons to fire. They are both ready to attack, however something makes them stop, not only does it, it also makes them cancel their attacks.
Everyone is confused to see this; Endeavor's confusion turns to concern as Izuku starts to shake. – "Agni! What happened?!"- He asked.
Izuku can't answer, his body is frozen, trembling from the sensation of chills that runs through his body, however... - "This feeling... I've felt it before... on Kamino."- Izuku turns to see the direction of the presence he feels and his face changes to one of fear. – "Y-You…" -
Machinedramon turns to see the same place, but his expression changes to one of excitement. – "It's you…"-
- "Shigaraki! / Lord Lucemon!" - Izuku and Machinedramon said.
Above all of them is Lucemon, in Shigaraki's body, watching the fight with an evil smile. – "Please… Don't let my presence stop you, keep fighting, the fight was interesting."- Lucemon said.
- "The body is Shigaraki's... but his presence... this guy isn't Shigaraki, he's Lucemon!"- Izuku thought.
- "If he's here... that means the group we sent is... damn it!"- Endeavor thought.
- "Good job Machinedramon, you've entertained them well, keep it up while I get back what's mine."- Lucemon said, in that search among the heroes and find their target, Mirio is fighting against some Digimon. – "There he is…"- Lucemon said, however before he could do anything.
- "Lucemon!" - Izuku yells as he charges at Lucemon.
- "Agni! Don't act rashly!"- Endeavor said, however this falls on deaf ears.
- "Pyro Punch!"- Izuku attacks Lucemon with a fiery fist, who does nothing to stop the attack.
- "Fusion Spirit... not bad, chosen one of fire."- To Izuku's surprise, Lucemon managed to block his attack with her hand, stopping him dead in his tracks without any apparent injury. – "But to have the slight chance of defeating me, you need the rest of your friends."- Lucemon releases a gust of wind at Izuku, sending him flying and crashing to the ground.
Izuku gets up with difficulty. – "Shinso is facing Stain and the others are on another front, it seems that at the moment I am the only one to face him."- Izuku thought.
- "I see... so the others are somewhere else... there's only you then. That makes my job easier. Alright... It's time to get my power back!"- Lucemon said as he charged at Izuku. – "And for that I have to kill you!"-
- "I won't let you! If I'm going to die I'll take you with me!"- Izuku charges at Lucemon. – "Pyro Punch!"- Izuku attacks with a fire fist, while Lucemon only attacks with a simple punch, the attacks collide creating a small explosion.

Stain is the first of the bad guys to fall and together with him the spirit of steel is recovered by Shinso.
Izuku and Endeavor team up to take on Machinedramon.
Finally Lucemon arrives at the battlefield, ready to recover his power, but Izuku will do everything possible to prevent it. Will he make it? Or will Lucemon get his power back?
