Family of Two.
Chapter 270: Royal Woods at peace.
(The Loud House.)
Now we see Lincoln in the living room and he turns off the TV and looks to the clock. "Well, now I'm bored again." Last night, he had Simon come over for the night, but he passed out and he had to keep an eye on him.
He left earlier, along with Sam who came to pick her up, now Lincoln is just trying to find some way to keep himself occupied. Then someone walks into the room. Delilah Lewis Loud. "Hey, Lincoln. Bored?"
Lincoln sighs and he leans onto her shoulder. "Pretty much, and though mom is enjoying some time with Sam and all, would be nice to spend some time with them. But I wanna let them be themselves. So, what are you doing, Delilah?"
Delilah pulls him close to her. "Well, we could play some video games, or watch some TV, but that one is out of the picture since you turned it off, or we could play a board game or go around town. We're pretty much safe with the trouble being gone for now."
Lincoln thinks about this. "That does sound like a good idea, maybe we could do something around the house, but I just don't know what. Also, where's your mom and Harriet?"
"Mom said she had to go and check up on something in the mall, and then she'll come back later and spend some time with me when tomorrow comes. She has the day off on Sunday" replied Delilah. "As for Harriet, I honestly don't know where she is."
Lincoln sighs. He then feels his head being shifted, and he's now laying on the lap of Delilah. "Thought this would be more comfortable, you seem bored and sometimes boredom leads to sleepiness, and I have been through that…. Twice."
Lincoln chuckles. "You ever wondered on what would've happened if we never met, like if everything never happened and we were doing something else and not a family?"
Delilah thinks about this. "That does sound, kinda bleak to think about. But, that sounds like a parallel world thing, like those hero counterparts you and Luna told us about, and I haven't even gotten the chance to meet them, but do they tell you about a world where we're not family?"
Lincoln sighs. "There is one, and it's where we're not family and more like family friends, and we're always getting caught into some enemies trying to ruin our lives, and the whole world is changed thanks to the sparking relationship that still keeps going within them. But, I wonder about a world where…. A world where everything goes on, if the whole family was still together and still loud."
Lincoln sits up and he looks to the picture of himself and Luna at the top of the fireplace. Delilah then puts an arm around Lincoln and pulls him close to her.
"Others have the lives they choose and make, and we have our own. So don't let that get to ya, cousin." Lincoln smiles hearing this and he leans onto her shoulder.
"Glad we're family, and glad we have a new life ahead of us with our mom's and those we call friends and family." Then Lincoln asks. "Is there any guy in your life that you met yet?"
Delilah chuckles. "Now you're starting to sound like my mom." The duo share some laughs, and don't notice Harriet at the top of the stairs, she then goes back to her room.
'Still I have no idea on who is planning the attacks onto Lincoln. At this point, if I cannot be able to find out who this person is, then I will resort to using the book that Gyro gave me, the one for summoning a demonic power, an overlord. It sounds risky, but I will have to use it, one day.'
(Ketcham Park.)
Luna Loud and Sam Sharp are both peacefully strumming onto their acoustic guitars under the shade of the tree on a hell, and facing the pond far from their position.
Sam then puts her guitar away. "So, anything else to do when next week comes around?"
Luna nods. "Leni and Luan will be back soon, chances Leni will plan on telling Luan about the house, or surprise her about it and if that does happen, then we'll be there to see the whole thing go down. I can't wait to have some family close by, well former family."
"But then comes Lori, she said she'll think of her chance out of juvie, once next year comes. But, Linc and I wish to reason with her to come and be part of Royal Woods Society again when the summer hits, but if she doesn't, then we'll have to accept her request."
Sam nods. "Yeah, I get that, babe. Still, nice of you to let Leni, Luan and Lori have the chance they need to come back to where they come from, and glad Leni has this plan to adopt Luan, kinda weird for someone of her age to take in someone two years younger than her."
Luna sighs. "Yeah, but the whole idea is Leni's and it seems like a calm and good solution, and because Luan needs someone to look up to, they both don't have parents, and Leni is starting a new last name and a new chance for the two of them to have a good life together. Kinda sounds like the life myself and Linc have, huh?"
Sam smirks. "Yeah, kinda does. But then comes the one thing we have yet to deal with, the whole ordeal of…. Crest."
Luna recalls. "That woman hasn't called, and that means she may have given up or she's up to something and I kinda have the same vibe as Michelle has."
"The whole idea that Katie Crest made the attacks onto you?" asked Sam.
Luna nods. "We're still not sure, the folks who were sent to attack us, well Linc. They still haven't talked, and they refuse to confess who their boss is and for that, they're given the life sentence and possibly an execution, and it's not worth seeing. We don't have any proof that Katie Crest is doing all of this."
"The detectives haven't even found any more leads, so now we don't have any reason to arrest Katie Crest, and I do wanna watch her get locked up, because I really hate her" said Luna with anger.
Sam also feels her anger and she too really hates Katie Crest. Sam then holds her hand and this calms down Luna. "That person, whoever sent those goons, we will take that person down and make them pay for the many attacks. I wanna be part of it as well."
Luna smirks and she kisses Sam, and Sam kisses her back. "I can always count on you being there for us, Sammy."
Sam smirks. "I would be there for the girl who I adore, and for the kid who I see as my son. You're both family to me, and we do not let family alone and wash away. I am not gonna let you and Linc fight the threats alone."
The two of them continue to make out and enjoy this moment together in peace.
They don't notice Lucy looking to them, and then she goes back to her book. 'So much is changing, and yet we feel like the past still lingers, and now trouble is looming over the horizon and threatens us all. We have to end this cycle of treachery and put down the one who seeks the death of Lincoln.'
She then sees Lisa, Darcy and the twins talking to each other as they continue making sand castles, but they question the sand castle that Lisa has made, is more like… A coliseum, and very detailed too.
'Hmm, maybe Lisa could help out. She seems smart, and if we reason with Luna and Lincoln, the perhaps Lisa could use her knowledge to track down the real leader behind the attacks and then we can all be at peace.'
(Royal Woods Mall.)
Michelle Lewis is busy with the dresses being setup by the window, and she fixes one of the mannequins that seem out of place. "Sorry, Lizzie. But you seem kinda old for the stands, I think you're twin sister has to take your place."
Michelle then realizes what she had just said. "Wow that sounded super weird."
"No kidding." She turns around and she sees her co-workers, Fiona and Miguel. "Also, the shift is done, we're gonna go and grab some lunch. Come on, girl" said Miguel.
"There's a new pizza place by the Food Court, so why not go there and enjoy some lunch and I heard they have some complimentary garlic sticks" said Fiona.
Michelle smirks. "Now that sounds like something I so wanna try out." She gets off her post, and she goes with her colleagues, and they leave Reiningers while Ms. Carmichael manages the register and the rest of the shop.
Fiona and Miguel look towards Michelle. "Something on your mind, girl?" asked Miguel.
Michelle sighs. "Yeah, the whole issue of the folks who attacked Lincoln, we got no word and no proof on the theory I have. That Katie Crest is responsible for the whole attacks, and I don't want her to continue on with what she plans to do with Luna and her son."
"There has to be some way for us to get proof on knowing if she did send all those dreaded attacks onto Lincoln. He didn't deserve those attacks and those folks who come to get him, they don't seem to have a motive of doing it, but for the cash or loyal bound to whoever sent them."
Miguel and Fiona are concerned for her. "Michelle, we get that the whole thing has been a total stress and we wish for this trouble to end too, and the person whose making the attacks" said Fiona. "But, we can only hope that the person would be caught."
"How dang hard is it to find this person, anyway?" asked Miguel. "Almost like he or she knows how to cover her tracks, and now I'm starting to believe that Katie Crest is behind all of this. Dang shame that there's no proof."
Michelle sighs. "Well, at least the trouble is being held back and the guys who are leading the whole gig are trying their best. I gotta give them respect, they're doing a dang good job, and I just wish it would go faster."
They then continue to walk towards the food court and as soon as they reach it they begin to order the food, and also notice the guy who runs the burger stand noticing Fiona. Michelle smirks. "Fiona, you need to talk to him."
Fiona sighs. "Yeah, I should. He does seem cute, and less of a total dork as the smoothie Guy." they see the guy who runs the smoothie stand is upset, and looks towards her.
"Wow. Talk about a romance ordeal" replied Michelle. They then get the food they order, and it is from the new pizza place. But seeing this ordeal that Fiona has between the burger guy and the smoothie guy, well the smoothie guy's ordeal seems familiar, almost familiar.
'Ugh. Just like that damned fool, Bolhofner, I honestly hope that guy isn't gonna be going after me as he tried to. But when the Middle School time does come back soon, I hope he doesn't try to make things harder for her. Same goes for Lincoln, once he graduates, and then that's the first stepping stone for him to head onto Middle School.'
'That man did it to himself, and I do not love him. If I am to find someone, then it would be someone who understands me, and wishes to let me choose the choices I wish to seek, and doesn't have weird dreams of me and perverted intentions.'
Michelle then sorts out a small scuffle on drink choices from both her friends, at least this small ordeal she can tolerate, unlike the trouble and the mastermind who still lurk outside of Royal Woods and all of Saginaw.
Then Michelle gets a message from Delilah, and she sees the selfie of her daughter with Lincoln and both of them having fun. This makes her smile. 'Cousins, together like siblings. This family life we're all getting into is something to look forward to in the future.'
A/N: The peace is not gonna last long, but that peace might get an increase when they take down whatever it is Katie Crest has planned, and surely they won't even know who is behind the real scams. Just hang in there readers, you'll all see the justice be served after the whole rock tour. Leave a review and tell me what you all think.
