Now is the time for them to make the trip and see how Rita and Lynnard are doing and also some mother to former daughter talk about the things that would go down soon next week, this is gonna be an interesting talk between the duo. Enjoy reading this one guys.
Family of Two. Chapter 278: The Former Parents of Loud.
( State Michigan Correctional Facility, Lansing City. Lansing.)
June 9, and a Dropship from Royal Woods arrives and lands onto the tarmac above the place, and some folks come out and those folks are the Louds: Lincoln, Luna, Michelle and Delilah. Harriet is also with them, but she has ulterior motives.
"You all have fun speaking with the former parents. I'll see how that damned man from long ago is doing, and see what I can do to make him suffer for what happened long ago." She passes through the ceiling and she's gone.
"Well, she's busy with her own thing" said Delilah. They follow the guards into the place, and also hand over what weapons they have, from the handguns to numb chucks that Delilah kept. Why did she bring those there for?
The four then walk down the halls, and Lincoln looks towards Delilah. "You feeling alright, Delilah?"
Delilah nods. "Sorta. I mean, I have heard about the whole ordeal you guys have been through with the folks who you once called mom and dad, but this is the first time to meet them and to show them that I am part of the loud family, and also involved with the Lewis family."
Michelle places a hand onto her daughter's shoulder. "Take it easy, sweetie. They're gonna be okay with this. Now come on, let's see how they're handling being here."
They go through the double doors and then they spot them. Waiting for them at a large table with seats, Rita and Lynnard. The former parents of the loud family, and currently undergoing parent training, they're not done yet.
Luna sighs. "Well, here we go." They all walk forward towards them and this causes Rita and Lynnard to stand up. "Hey guys, glad we could make it."
Lynnard chuckles. "Glad you guys did come. We already know that the trouble of bad folks has been dealt with, and that they were the kinda same folks from last year, and thank goodness for them to be gone for good, and we're also shocked that you can do that much damage to one man."
Rita smiles. "You guys did what you had to do, and stop that man from what he was doing. We're proud of you guys, all of you." She then sees Delilah. "And you must be the new family member."
Delilah nods, and Michelle answers for them. "Yeah, Delilah here is my kid and I wanna be there to guide her down the right path, and to make sure her future is not all messed up as my mistakes. But, I know she can handle things on her own. I trust her and what she can do."
Hearing this makes her smile. "Thanks mom." She then goes over and hugs her. The sight of this makes Rita and Lynnard smile and brings back some dang good memories of long ago.
"Well, we should all take a seat and discuss some stuff" said Lynnard. They all do so and then he asks. "So, how're things going on with you guys? We did got the letters you guys sent, and we're glad that Leni is now out of her mental hospital and helping Luan, it feels nice."
Lincoln nods. "Leni wants to help Luan with her mental state, and apparently, its working and now Luan is no longer a menacing pranking machine of destruction and is now the kinda gal who wants to look forward to what she can do with her talent."
Luna then continues for him. "Though her puns and comedic role is still there, and she might use that as a way to lay back when things aren't chilling for her in her future. Kinda nice that she has a backup plan. But we did get letters from Leni, that Luan is a great cook. She must've gotten that from your side dude."
Lynnard is surprised and happy. 'Wow. Luan can cook? Looks like she might be looking to a cooking career, or whatever she wants to see for her own future and goals. Why didn't we think of that in the first place?'
Rita then asks. "So, what about Lori? Any word on her planning to be let out?"
Luna sighs. "No, sorry dude. But, Lori says she'll wait for when the time is right. But if you ask us, we think she's earned her freedom after so much went down. She participated in some stuff that nearly harmed myself and my kid, and she even stopped someone from doing harm to us."
"I just wish that she could come out and regain redemption through the town, but we gotta respect her choice, and we can't just force her into what we think is right. She wants this, or better yet, needs this and she'll think of leaving when she feels that the time is right."
Rita and Lynnard do feel upset about that, but they can't do anything about Lori and they feel proud of her for waiting for the right time. Then Rita looks towards Luna and gets up. "Can we talk in private please?"
Luna is confused by this. "Okay." She gets up and follows Rita down another hall for some privacy. Leaving Lynnard with Lincoln, Michelle and Delilah.
"So, is anything new in town?" asked Lynnard.
"Well, a lot has changed, and a restaurant has been opened and belongs to the family of the Rosato's" said Lincoln. "The place is awesome, comforting and the food tastes great."
"Wow!" said Lynnard. "Now that does sound amazing, and also feels like my restaurant dream. But there is one thing I wanna know…. About the graduation day for you, Lincoln…."
Lincoln then stops him from talking. "I get it. You and Rita wanna watch me speak something to the others in school and also walk away ready for the next step. Well, mom did have a plan and I think the best option is to tell you now."
Lynnard is confused. "Tell me what?"
Delilah then answers. "Last night, we had a talk and we know what to do so that you and your wife can be able to watch Lincoln graduate, and the same goes with Lori and Lynn Jr."
Lynnard is now interested and listens into the plan they have.
(With Rita and Luna.)
The two women walk into the hallway and this is where they talk. "Alright so I already know about the whole thing about you guys going on tour" said Rita. "Are you sure that this is a good idea Luna?"
Luna nods. "Rita, I get that your upset. But don't worry about it. We got the whole thing under control and there is no way in hell that I would let anything bad happen towards my kid. I know what might happen, and I know that something is wrong, and you know something is wrong too, right?"
Rita nods. "Not wrong, as a mother myself, I have this feeling of when something bad is gonna happen, and you feeling this only proves more than being the mother of Lincoln is something that was meant to be. I am so dang proud of how far you've become in taking care of him."
"But, I just hope that whatever is gonna happen on tour, doesn't turn into total catastrophe. That Katie Crest woman… I don't like her, she's got this bad vibe around her that doesn't feel right. You feel it too, huh?"
Luna nods. "Not just that, but the whole tour is something we have planned for another thing. Because if what Michelle Lewis Loud said is true, then those attacks onto Lincoln are from her and the man we took down, was a setup to get us onto the tour, and I got the same feeling of belief as Michelle."
Rita thinks about this. "This makes sense, and I feel the same thing as Michelle. She might not be wrong, but to make sure to prove Crest did those things…."
"Is to find the truth and the evidence and have the cops handle her, even though I wanna do the whole thing myself" said Luna in anger, she is fuming with rage after what her son Lincoln has been put through.
Rita goes over and she places a hand onto Luna's shoulder. "Calm down, Luna. I get it, I wanna make that lady pay if she is the real reason to those attacks. But you're the one out there and watching over Lincoln. Keep yourself calm, and maybe the whole thing won't be blown over into catastrophe."
Luna nods. "Yeah, okay. Sorry, it's just I am sick and tired of folks coming for my son and I just want them to leave us alone. But, even with the trouble going on and trying to get rid of my boy, there's no way to hell am I letting that happen."
"As his mother by legal rights, I will not let anything wrong befallen onto Lincoln. He's meant a lot to me since the first day we locked eyes, and I know that there was something going on between us, a bond that was more than siblings, and the very sole reason why I was dang proud to have been his legal guardian."
Rita nods. "Yes, the rile Lynnard and I gave to you, and we're happy at what you're doing and doing an amazing job being his mom, and that's all that matters. You, and Lincoln alright and living happily in Royal Woods, and Lynnard and myself will come with the new plan on when we do go back home."
Luna smiles hearing that. Then she has an idea. 'Hmm, perhaps when the day comes for Rita and Lynnard to leave jail together, then we can let them stay in the old house, or have it. Now that sounds awesome!'
The duo then walk down the halls and head back to the others. They go inside and they see them talking with Lynnard about something, and Lynnard see's Rita. "Rita, they have a plan for us to see Lincoln graduate!"
Rita is surprised. "Wait what?" She then looks towards Luna.
Luna chuckles. "We have a lot to talk about." Just then they all get startled when Harriet appears.
"Hello, everyone. So what did I miss?" She then spots Lynnard cowering underneath the table. "Oh for goodness sakes, Lynnard."
