There came a sharp knock on FitzSkimmons' door one morning while they were getting ready for their day.

As Fitz was in the shower and Simmons was in the bathroom finishing dressing, and the knock sounded fairly urgent and official, Daisy sleepily climbed out of their bed and walked over to the door. She normally didn't get out of bed until Fitz's shower turned off, having been banned from taking a shower with him on work mornings for 'making them take too long' with her extracurricular shower activities, but this apparently couldn't wait for Simmons to finish up in the bathroom and answer the door herself.

Opening the door a couple of feet so that she could see who it was, Daisy found Mack standing there.

"What is it, Mack?" Daisy asked in a grouchy half-awake state.

But Mack was busy staring in shock at the sleep clothes that Daisy hadn't even thought about that she was wearing when she went to open the door.

"I did go to FitzSimmons' room, didn't I?" he asked in confusion.

"Yeah, this is our room," Daisy answered without thinking. "What's the emergency?"

You see, FitzSkimmons were still keeping their trio relationship quite for the time being. Everyone of course knew that FitzSimmons were together and had been for several years, but Daisy's part of the relationship, and especially marriage was fairly recent, and the three of them saw no advantage to shocking the status quo all at once, figuring that people would slowly find out on their own over time that two had become three, and three become one — like Mack was finding out right now, even if he didn't quite realize it just yet.

"Did you have a sleepover with FitzSimmons last night?" Mack asked in confusion and still shock, too distracted by the scene in front of him to remember the reason that he had come looking for FitzSimmons.

"It's the clothes, dear!" came a female voice out of the bathroom, making Daisy look down at herself and Mack be surprised anew by the intimate name. "You opened the door straight from bed."

Daisy's barely awake brain finally took in the cami and sleep shorts that she had worn to sleep in the night before, as Simmons walked out of the bathroom and over to the door, fully dressed and ready for the day.

At the door, the biochemist nudged Daisy out of the way slightly and said to Mack, "Sorry about the wife, if she doesn't have to train with May super early, she's not awake until she's had her pint of coffee and box of chocolate pop tarts, or something similarly sugar-loaded. But I'm guessing you need myself or Fitz for something, hence the early morning visit to our room?"

Mack was doing a double take at the English woman. "Wife?"

It was the second time that one of the BUS kids had dropped something huge on him out of the blue and without consciously realizing it, the other of course being Fitz calling Simmons his fiancé seventy-four years in the future.

Simmons sighed as she realized what she had just said, and the novelty of it to whom she was speaking. "Yes, Fitz and I's wife, of just shy of a month now — and dating for about six months before that. We decided to keep it quiet since it's such surprising news, and agents outside of the core team may not be the most approving since it's socially quite unusual, to say the least, but we aren't actually hiding it, we're just not advertising it either, and letting people discover it as they do. Although I thought people were going to start asking questions a lot sooner than they actually have — it's surprised me how much people don't think twice about Daisy hanging all over Fitz or myself, because we haven't had a single person ask yet. Director Coulson of course knows, he married the three of us like he married Fitz and I — you were there for that one in the underground forest — but I think you're the next to know. And I really do apologize for that, for us randomly dropping big news like this on you, I know that Fitz did the same in the future after we got engaged, but — well, it is what it is. And feel free to tell Yo-Yo, but past that we'd prefer keeping it quiet until people realize it on their own, or we decide to tell everyone ourselves."

Mack just kind of nodded, still speechless from what he had just learned.

Simmons gave him a few seconds to try to process it, before asking again, "So is there something you need us for?"

Mack finally shook himself out of his shock, and answered, "Director Coulson just got back from a mission with an 0-8-4, and needs your biochem expertise and Fitz's engineering expertise to make sure that it's safe to take into the lab."

"Of course. I think I just heard Fitz's shower end, so we'll be along in ten minutes or so," Simmons replied. "I assume it's still on the plane in the hanger?"

"Yes, it's on one of the quinjets," Mack nodded.

"Then we'll be along shortly," Simmons said cheerfully, before closing the door.

Mack walked away slowly, shaking his head at the latest development in the FitzSimmons (now FitzSkimmons) saga.

Meanwhile, inside FitzSkimmons' room, once he heard the door close Fitz shouted out, "What's going on?"

"Daisy and I broke Mack's brain like you did when you called me fiancé," Simmons answered as she and Daisy walked into the bathroom together, Daisy to shower and Simmons to talk. "Our lovely Daisy by answering the door in her skimpy sleepwear, and myself by calling Daisy 'wife'. Also, you and I are needed to check out an 0-8-4 Director Coulson just brought back."

"Ah — so our secret's out," Fitz replied calmly.

"For Mack and Yo-Yo, but we're in the clear for the rest of Shield, still," Simmons answered. "Daisy hasn't revealed us to everyone yet."

"Hey!" Daisy exclaimed in mock offense from where she was turning the shower on. "I wouldn't have been answering the door if you would just let me shower with Fitz again like we used to."

"Not a chance in hell, sweetie," Simmons replied with a smile, patting Daisy's cheek. "Then Mack would have figured it out from the loud, female moans coming from the bathroom when I answered the door, and I'd rather your sleep clothes and my calling you 'wife' tell him that we're married, than that. Anyway, I'd tell all of Shield about our relationship before letting you two go back to having shower sex every morning."

"We offered to let you join us," Daisy said as she dropped all of her clothes so that she was standing naked in front of Simmons, and Fitz as well since he was still in the bathroom dressing.

"Never happening," Simmons answered, unaffected by her wife's naked wiles, before turning to Fitz and saying, "Come on, husband, we have an 0-8-4 to go solve — Daisy will have to just occupy herself in the shower."
