Chapter 297: Hope and Gretchen Part 2.
(The Loud House.)
Delilah Lewis Loud, the daughter of Michelle Lewis, well adopted and now she walks down the stairs and is ready for what today has, and she still recalls what had happened the other day. 'Gretchen Warwick? Hope Pertland? What the heck were they doing in town?'
Delilah then sees the others waiting at the bottom of the stairs. Lincoln, Luna and Michelle, Harriet is also there and is concerned about what had happened the other day, and so she makes a call to someone.
Michelle goes towards her daughter who is now in front of her. "Are you alright, Delilah?" But her daughter doesn't respond and looks down. "Delilah, I get it. You felt betrayed and wronged for what happened years ago, but they came all this way and helped you."
"We didn't think you had something against them from long ago, and we don't even know what to think of how that went" said Lincoln. "But they came and helped us, and we have to hear them out."
"We met them before and they are pretty friendly, and helped us through that damned ordeal at Honolulu" replied Luna. "You can't let the past stray off too far, especially when the past comes back to help you."
Delilah thinks about this, and she still isn't sure, but she can see the looks from the others that they wanna give Hope and Gretchen the chance to explain themselves, and so she'll hear them out. "Alright, alright. I wanna know how they're feeling, and what they have to say after everything I went through."
They all could see that Delilah is troubled, and angered and that this talk with Hope and Gretchen might not go as smoothly as they would've thought, and whatever it is that sparked Delilah to hate them, they'll only know once they confront Hope and Gretchen.
But then Lincoln asks. "Delilah, before we go over and speak with them. What did they do to you?"
Delilah didn't think this would happen, but she has to tell them what happened. "Hope and Gretchen, I was more than just a babysitter to them. The day I was framed by Leslie Silver, I was gonna be sent to court, and that Hope and Gretchen…. They were gonna be there to testify, because they were witnesses to the whole thing."
"But they… Those two, they never showed up! They didn't even bother to come, they never showed up and I was betrayed by them! They didn't do anything when I was sent off, and my parents couldn't do anything and thought that without anyone to back me up… There was no other way, and all because those I trusted never came to help me!"
Delilah then wipes away her tears, and so Michelle goes over and hugs her, and does what she can to calm her down.
All of them are surprised to hear this, but then Lincoln walks towards her. "Delilah, I get the whole idea about being betrayed, heck I went down that path too, and it didn't feel right in the back of my skull. But that doesn't mean you can't stop listening to them."
"Hope and Gretchen had a reason for being not there that day, perhaps something happened to them. Delilah, you can't shun then out without letting them speak to you, we have to know what happened and why they're here, okay?"
Delilah knew that his words were right. "Alright, fine. I hope they got something to say to me."
They all vacate the house and Harriet waves to them as they all drive off, they also have to meet up with Sam and Jordan at the park as well, and those two are already there. 'I hope that whatever happens when they speak, that nothing goes wrong, they don't seem like rich and mean girls.'
'I recall what the guardian spoke about, that there is a Hope and Gretchen in another world and they are former best friends with Leslie Silver and her posse, and are now part of Royal Woods and are friendly to everyone else, while also trying to sort out in dealing with Leslie Silver in coming back.'
'Something tells me, that with those two girls here in town, Leslie Silver and her posse might not be a big deal, they seem to show the same hatred over that rich girl as well. This should be very interesting to watch when the time comes.'
(Ketcham Park.)
We now go to see Hope Pertland and her friend, Gretchen Warwick and the duo seem nervous and upset about what had happened the other day. Hope is more concerned. "We may have helped them stop Leslie Silver and her crew, but Delilah doesn't seem so keen to see us."
Gretchen knows. "Yeah, I know. But, I just hope the others can hear us out, we're not bad people. We need to tell her the truth…."
"About what?" They all see the others have come. Lincoln, Luna, Jordan, Sam, Michelle and Delilah, and this preteen doesn't look pleased to see her former friends. "So, what the heck is this talk about?"
Hope and Gretchen go over to greet them, but then Lincoln hugs them both and this surprises them and Jordan knows why. "Thank you… Thank you for saving us, yesterday. Thank you for saving my mom, thank you so much."
Gretchen and Hope are honored by this, they then depart from the hug. "You're welcome Lincoln Loud" replied Hope. "We did what we had to do, we saw you guys at the park and were looking for you, but then we saw the outcome and we had to do something."
Gretchen nods. "We didn't even think Leslie Silver would even come. I mean, she's trouble and someone not to fend off so easily, especially since she has her deranged and mean rich gal pals, always around her."
Jordan goes towards them. "You girls did us a favor, and helped save my boyfriend from that other girl who thought she could get what she wants, thank you."
"We all need to talk somewhere else" said Sam. They all go to a location where they can talk, and they sit by the picnic table and then Sam asks. "So, what the heck are you guys doing here?"
Gretchen answers that one. "We're moving into Royal Woods, and we asked our parents and we're gonna start our first time in Middle School soon. We both live in Rose Street, and not too far from the Rosato Mansion too."
They go wide eyed hearing this. "Well, didn't see that one coming" said Michelle. "But still, why the heck are you girls even here? Besides the whole moving to a different school ordeal."
Hope then tells them. "We saw what happened when you guys fought off Jeffrey who escaped Juvie, and we knew that Delilah was here, and so we needed to talk to you, about some stuff…."
Delilah casts a glare onto them and she speaks. "For what? To tell me about what you two did?! About how you two didn't even bother to have my back when I needed help?! Where the hell were you two when I was gonna be headed to court?! Huh?!"
Michelle didn't like how her daughter spoke to them. "Delilah! Enough! Let them speak!"
But then they hear Hope crying, and this makes them concerned and Delilah stands down and goes back to her seat. Gretchen then tells her as she tries to comfort Hope. "We…. We tried to go to help you…"
This confuses them and has Delilah trying to process this and so Luna asks. "What do you mean?"
Gretchen then continues. "Delilah, we were headed to the court house. We tried to go, but then traffic started, and then we ran into some manholes that were opened, and then someone setup a blockade of burning grocery carts, someone didn't want us to…"
"Leslie." Delilah is now wide eyed and she knows the truth. "Leslie Silver, she wanted to make sure that the only witnesses to what she did were not gonna make it, and have me in trouble with no chances of escape. She didn't want me to have any witnesses, or friends…."
Hope then stops crying and she explains. "We went there, but it was too late… Y-You were gone, and then… Then Leslie showed up and laughed at us and so, we…. We snapped and attacked them."
Delilah didn't see that one coming, then Gretchen spoke. "We did what we could, but Leslie Silver made sure that you would never get out, and then had you transferred to some prison we don't know about, and we knew that since we couldn't get you out of that mess, we would avenge you."
Hope then calms down. "So we kept an eye on Leslie and when the time came, we showed the authorities what Leslie and the others were doing, and so they got arrested and we thought that would've done something, at least everyone in town were happy."
Gretchen then wipes away some fresh tears. "Delilah, we're sorry we couldn't have helped you. We didn't mean for anything, we tried…. We'll do what we can to regain everything from you, we just don't want you yo hate us."
The others are surprised by this, and they see Delilah get off her seat and she goes over and hugs them both. Hope and Gretchen are confused, but they return the embrace. They then depart from the hug, and they see the same eyes that they once saw in the girl who was once they're beloved baby sitter.
"Girls, thank you for telling me the truth, and I do forgive you both." This makes Hope and Gretchen smile. "But… Trust is another, and a part of me still feels hurt after not getting any help when I was locked up, but I know you two can come up with something."
Hope and Gretchen smiled hearing this. "We'll do what we can." They then return the embrace onto Delilah and she hugs them back too, this makes the other smile and makes Michelle proud.
'That's my girl, forgiving and willing to give them a second chance to be her friends again.'
But what they don't notice, is that on their phones there is something on social media talking about the two rich girls who are seeking redemption to an old friend, and the ones who made this social media news? Carol, Jackie and Mandee.
(Traverse City, Juvenile Detention Center.)
The four girls are now thrown into the same holding cells, and they're badly bruised and beaten up, and who did that? Lynn and Annabelle.
Lynn then cracks her knuckles. "Next time you free loaders try to go after Lincoln and harm Luna, then I won't go so easy the next time I beat the living snot out of you four!" Lynn and Annabelle are then escorted back to their cell.
Leslie gets back up and she wipes away the blood from her nose, and she sees the still healing and scared Chastity and the upset Regina who hugs her, and then she spots Karen who is super ticked off and not talking.
"Girls, we need to find some way out of here. What we did, that was too much and we need a new plan and apologize to Lincoln for…." but then Karen pins Leslie to the wall and she looks super pissed off.
"You know what, Silver? I have fucking had it with you and you're messed up addiction to that kid! We've been doing you're dumbass work to get him and where does that lead us? Back here and getting our asses whooped!"
Leslie is surprised by this and tries to break free. "Karen, what are you doing?!" Then Leslie is punched in the gut and Karen head butts her. Leslie looks up to her former friend who is seriously angry.
"No more." Karen speaks with such seriousness. This makes Regina and Chastity scared. "From now on, I am running the shots now and we stick with the plans I have in store, and that is final!"
They all nod and shed some tears, Leslie is deeply angered by this, but she can see that she is outgunned and outnumbered by Karen and the way she threatened her. Leslie Silver can see, that she's got trouble of her own, and that trouble might be far worse than her.
A/N: So, now we know the damn truth about what happened between Delilah, and Gretchen and Hope, and now they can rekindle what was once lost, and it seems like Karen Houseman is the new head of the former rich and still mean girls, this is bad. Leave a review and tell me what you all think.
