Family of Two.

Chapter 304: Days past without her.

(The Loud House.)

July 9. Lincoln comes out of his bedroom, which he shares with Sam, until Luna comes back and he's all dressed for the day and he goes down the hall and then down the stairs to meet with the others for breakfast and he sees all of them are there and have the food setup.

"Good morning, everyone." Lincoln goes over and he gives a hug to Delilah, and a kiss on her cheek, and he does the same to Michelle and Sam, and then to Harriet as she breaks from her ethereal form.

This makes them smile. "Good morning, buddy." Sam places a kiss on his forehead and hugs him. "You ready for the day I got for the both of us?"

Lincoln nods. "Second day to be spending a long and awesome fun day with my second mom figure, and also these pancakes smell awesome."

Harriet smiles. "Not mine. All from Delilah, she learned it from her home economics class, and is a master on the kitchen, well not as impressive as I am."

Delilah smirks and crosses her arms as she looks towards Harriet. "Really? Well, I guess I should bring up my A-Game and beat the old guard of the kitchen then."

Michelle sips her coffee and she sits down. "Which old guard are we talking about here? Because if memory serves, I am also an ace in the kitchen besides Harriet."

This makes Harriet smirk. "Well, it appears we might have ourselves our own small cook off, for next time. Just to see who is better in the kitchen, I didn't have to take school to learn cooking after all."

Sam chuckles at this. "Wow. Wow. Chill out everyone and let's not go over the set and dive in without a second thought. I know you all wanna prove who is better at cooking, but can we do this next time and enjoy what else we have planned this week?"

Lincoln swallows his bite of pancakes. "Sam is right, let's just enjoy the rest of this awesome summer, until the time for classes begins. Also, we got something to attend tomorrow, remember?"

Delilah recalls. "Right, the big race from Kurt Logann, also known as the guy Leni is dating, and maybe future husband?" They all chuckle at this and they can all agree on that one.

"Kurt Logann shows promise for Leni. A guy who can understand her, and see from her past-self of her air-headedness and changed into someone better, he's definitely the guy for her. But he probably won't be truly committed until he's done with this year's big race" replied Harriet.

Michelle then recalls. "This big all-out American States race championship is not gonna be over until the start of fall, the last race is gonna take place somewhere in New York, and also Bobbie Fletcher is gonna be in this race."

"Then I can't wait to see him race, and chances Lana wants to see him race." Lincoln then continues to eat his pancakes, and then he realizes something. 'I recall Lola eyeing the guy, I hope she doesn't do anything stupid. Love and crushes can make you do that kind of stuff.'

Sam then has her own thoughts, and so do the others. 'I don't know when Lunes is waking up, but at this point I might have to end up living here with them. I need to speak to my family about this. I can't just leave Lincoln alone, he needs a mother figure.'

Michelle. 'We need help. To try and wake Luna from her ordeal, and also see if there's gonna be any complications when Luna wakes up… Because a part of me has this bad feeling, and it feels like something Lincoln has been through.'

Delilah. 'After that talk with mom last night, o hope it's not true. I don't want Lincoln to feel pain seeing Luna with no memory of her own kid and the life they went through. It will break his heart and possibly give him unholy tendencies to make the pain go away, he's been through so much.'

Harriet. 'So much has gone down. Perhaps a talk with Gyro might help, but why the heck has he not responded to my calls? What in the name of the eternal spiritual realms is important for him to not respond to something desperate?'

(Ketcham Park.)

We now go to a peaceful time at the Park, and right now Lincoln and Sam have finished eating ice cream and are now looking at the text he got from Ronnie Anne.

Ronnie Anne. Hey Linc, it's been a week since that whole ordeal and Sid is handling well. She has been asking for sleepovers more often to feel safe with me, and after five days she went back to her bedroom and to see if her mom needs help. Sid is almost back to her usual self, and I noticed it when she was grooving to 12 is Midnight.

As for her mom, she might be a long while. That attack on her, that was sick, twisted and still the talk of the town, and at TV station has decided to remove Jim Sparkletooth's name from their history and he's dubbed as one of the most heinous and unholy criminals in Michigan. Mrs. Chang is still recovering, but not physically.

I hope you guys can come over for a visit, we could use some hang out time. But, we understand that you still wanna wait for your mom to wake up. We'll be patient and we also hope Luna will be fine and wakes up soon. Also, there's gonna be this big hot dog contest soon, I hope you guys can be here when it does happen. My dad is the judge.

Sid and I are gonna be going on a date tonight. To try and get more of the ordeal from the attack out of her head, even though she is recovering, she does still have nightmares and I heard that from Adelaide. She's been going into her sister's room to comfort her. Stay safe Linc, and wish you all the best for Luna to wake up, and I do hope to hang out with you and Jordan again soon.

Lincoln sighs and he puts his phone away. "Well, looks like we're not the only ones who are dealing with the aftermath still. I hope Sid and Mrs. Chang will be fine."

Sam rubs his back. "We're all healing and that whole thing has not left the talk of the whole dang state. We're all gonna be fine, and nothing will be trouble for the rest of us, and I promised your mom that you'd be kept safe and that is a promise I don't intend to break."

"I know it's been a few days, and we both still have this painful feeling of not having Luna with us, but we shouldn't be all depressed and wait by her side. She'd want us to keep going and enjoy what we have, she will wake up. I promise you, kiddo."

Lincoln smiles hearing this and he hugs her. "Thanks Sam, I needed that talk."

Sam smiles and she returns the embrace and she kisses his forehead. "Anytime kiddo, that's what I'm here for." They both stay in this embrace and don't notice the woman walking towards them.

"Hello, Ms. Sharp and Mr. Loud, good to see you two here." the duo depart from the hug and see who it is. Katherine Mulligan. "You two seem happy today, and that's a good thing."

Lincoln smiles seeing her. "Hello, Ms. Mulligan. We saw you on the news and glad you're back on TV."

"You seem to be the same news reporter back in action, and I also overheard you might be getting a big promotion or something" said Sam.

Katherine smirks. "Yeah, that has been going around and I don't even know if it's true. I have yet to even know what it's all about. In the meantime, I will continue with what I do best, and the whole ordeal from Jim Sparkletooth hasn't left the minds of everyone. Is it alright if I sit?"

Lincoln nods. "Go ahead, we know that we all have a lot to talk about and we know what it's all about."

Katherine sits down and she takes a moment to say what she needs to speak. "Earlier, I went off to visit Luna Loud, and I spoke to her about how much it meant to me that she would do whatever she could to stop that man from doing more, and then there's you."

"You showed up and saved us all, and even though some of us are recovering physically and mentally, I still wanna thank you for saving our lives. You were brave and yet reckless and almost got yourself killed. But, you proved to be quite the warrior when it comes to your mother."

Lincoln nods. "I did what I had to. I was getting so tired about folks hurting our family and trying to divide us. It just… I can't take that stuff anymore, and I have to do something."

Katherine nods. "Which truly does make you one extraordinary kid to go against the odds, let it be from returning enemies with dangerous assets, to some unruly business folks and dark managers who wanna take advantage of stuff. You are an amazing kid and possibly the talk of the country."

Lincoln then looks upset. "That doesn't sound good for me, I don't wanna become a prime target for others. I just did what I had to, I don't wanna become an icon."

Sam runs her hand through his hair. "We really don't want any more trouble to come and mess things up. We've been through enough and just wanna go through possibly one month with no trouble at all. But we know that won't be possible."

Katherine can tell that this is way too hard for the boy to handle. "Well, be glad that you're not alone in this whole thing. Because I have your back, and one thing I wish to ask… When Luna does awaken, I wish to be there to see her wake up."

"I won't make it into a serious news, unless you want me too. It's my way of saying thank you to both you and your mother for so much changes that have made Royal Woods and many of citizens of the town as well. We're all happy that you're doing fine and that you took the risk of saving others."

Lincoln nods. "Yeah, okay. We can make that happen, and thanks for coming to talk to us. We can see you as our friend too." This makes Katherine smile and she places a kiss on his forehead which makes the boy chuckle.

They then spot Leni, and she's walking by the fountain far from them and talking with Kurt Logann. "Tomorrow is going to be a big thing for everyone in town, and to be honest a lot of the folks are rooting for Bobbie Fletcher" said Katherine.

This makes Sam and Lincoln shocked, and Katherine notices this. "What? What is it?"

Lincoln and Sam don't want to tell them about who they're gonna cheer for, but Katherine Mulligan can see the whole ordeal. "Oh, well this is gonna be awkward. I guess you guys are rooting for the rookie? Well, that seems normal."

Lincoln seems more concerned about Lana, she's a fan of Bobbie Fletcher, and then we have Lola, and she's already a fan of Kurt Logann. 'I hope there won't be some kind of riot when tomorrow comes.'

To be continued…

A/N: Days have passed and things are going as normal as it usually is, even without the rockin' and rollin' rockstar teen mom of Lincoln, but they'll all pull through and come tomorrow is a big race to watch! Leave a review and tell me what you all think.
