Chapter 310: Memories to regain.
(July 15. The Loud House.)
Morning has come and we now see Lincoln Loud is fast asleep, back in his lower bunk of the bed, and he sleeps soundly with Luna Loud watching over him. Luna smiles at the sight of Lincoln still asleep.
'Dang. I guess all I need is to see some memories that would bring back the good times from the times we're having now. He seems kinda cute when he's asleep, just like back when he really was my baby bro, but he is my son, and so I'll say back when he was my little baby.'
Luna then strokes his white hair and she kisses his forehead. This makes him stir and he slowly opens his eyes and he looks to Luna, he then sits up and looks to her with concern. He looks around at where he is and is confused.
"Sorry, Linc. I thought that it'd be better if you snoozed someplace else and not the couch. You looked less comfortable on the couch, I hope this is alright."
Lincoln nods, and he goes over and he hugs Luna. "Thank you, and I know that deep down you wanna regain everything you lost, just as how the rest of us want you back to the Luna Loud we know and love."
Luna smiles hearing this. "Linc, I have a whole day planned for just the two of us. So that we can be able to rekindle the memories I lost, and perhaps make me become the Luna Loud everyone has come to know and love. I wanna be the Luna Loud mom you want and need."
Lincoln is now shedding tears of joy, he's letting Luna earn herself the chance to recall who she is and he is willing to help her become the Luna he knows and calls, mom. They are unaware that Michelle, Delilah and Harriet see this and smile at the touching moment, and they know that this will work.
Michelle. 'We need to let Luna do this. She needs to sort out on how she can be able to become the mother Lincoln has always loved since they had this life. She's got this and we have fate in her that she can make this possible.'
Delilah. 'I'm gonna need to contact Jordan and the others to leave them be. But they should try and keep an eye on them if something is happening. I wish I can tag along, but I got my karate practice later and I can't miss this one. I'm gonna see if I can be chosen for the big karate tournament for next week.'
Harriet. 'Luna is doing her part to regain who she truly is and I am happy for her. She is the Luna I recall back when she was very little, the very same Luna I have kept a watch over… That was until that bastard moron of a dad made her go to that damned Mick Swagger concert.'
Luna then looks to Lincoln. "Linc, do you wanna go and use the bathroom?"
Lincoln shakes his head in denial. "Just a little longer, mom? Please?"
Luna smiles hearing this and she continues this embrace. "Sure thing, kiddo. Sure thing." the sound of her saying those words were giving Lincoln a lot of hope, that Luna Loud is coming back.
(Bangers n' Mosh.)
Lincoln and Luna are both enjoying some nice food and watching as Sully, Mazzy and Chunk are on stage and performing their own songs, and Chunk is the one who made the song and they're pretty impressive together.
Lincoln enjoys eating his pasta, and he sees as Luna is enjoying her mashed potatoes and she looks to Lincoln and smiles. Lincoln smiles at this too. "So, do you recall anything here?"
Luna looks around. "From the many times I have had gigs here, the dates with Sam as well as the big deal when the others told me that two bad things happened here, from many months ago when I went back to my old self and that kinda scared you."
Lincoln nods. "That was a bad time for the both of us. You only cared about what you wanted and that was the dream, and that made you look like the old Luna Loud who just wanted to win, and it made me feel like you weren't yourself anymore."
Luna can tell that memory was bad for him to recall. "Yeah, I kinda figured. Sorry that happened, and I feel like a total dingus for doing that dang stupid stuff." She does notice the necklace around Lincoln's neck.
Lincoln then asks. "So, what is the other thing you remember from this place?"
Luna knows where he's getting at and she doesn't feel like saying it, since it's a horrible time that caused the life they have now. "No… No, I won't say it Lincoln. That was…. I don't like that one, it's horrible and you…" she wipes away her tears. "That's a horrible, horrible memory, and I could've lost you, Linc."
Lincoln nods, and then he remains quiet as he eats his meal. Luna continues to look to the necklace, the same one Lincoln gave her. He took it back, and kept it safe. Deep down, she feels like she should take a look, but she decided not to.
'No. Lincoln feels comfortable and safe wearing it, because it's the one piece of me from before. I'll have a talk with him when we get home, but I still got the rest of the day with him to enjoy, and we're gonna have some rockin'…. I mean, some cool fun.'
Luna then continues to eat her food, and then she scooches closer to Lincoln and she places a kiss on his forehead and then she wipes his cheek of the tomato sauce, and this makes him smile. He can see some hope within Luna, that she could become the mother he knows and loves.
(Later.)
Lincoln and Luna are now walking out of the restaurant and headed back to the car. "So, where are we headed next?" asked Lincoln.
"Well, I was thinking we could go to the mall again, or have a nice stroll into town and see what catches our eyes, and then go to the Park and enjoy some mother and son time" replied Luna. She then has her car keys, which means she recalls that she knows how to drive.
Lincoln smiles hearing this, he feels as if she's slowly coming back. "Alright, I'd like that…."
"Finally found you!" The two louds see this chubby, obese dude come out from behind Luna's car and he spray painted it. "You have no idea how hard it was to find you two!"
Luna is shocked at what he did. "Hey! My car! What the heck dude?!"
Lincoln calms her down. "Mom, chill. The car has a system that makes it deploy some cleaning systems to remove any stains." Lincoln pushes the button on the car and the spray paint is soaked in water that comes out from the hose on the hood.
The guy sees this and is angry. "No! This spray paint costed me money!" He then looks towards Lincoln and Luna in anger. "You're both gonna suffer for putting my cousin in jail, now I can't be able to chat with him or get the cash I need from him!"
The duo are confused. "Who are you?"
"I am Arnold McCann and I am the one guy who has been with Chandler to trust and call my friend! You two are gonna pay for putting him in jail, and I will avenge him by killing you both! Also, it was so hard for me to get a stupid plane ticket here, and what I need to make sure you die!"
Luna shields Lincoln, but the boy speaks. "Hey! Chandler did that to himself, he was a hooligan and a bad kid, and judging by you…. You're a bad person."
Arnold then goes after them, and Luna tries to punch him. But he grabs her fist and he tosses her towards her own car and Luna hits the license plate hard and is on the ground. "Mom!" But Arnold tackles him and he uses his weight to keep Lincoln on the ground.
Arnold continues top repeatedly punch Lincoln, and as he punches Lincoln the necklace is knocked away and lands near Luna. Arnold then punches Lincoln on his chest and he keeps giving him blow after blow.
Luna slowly stirs and she sees the necklace and the locket is open and she sees the photo of herself with Lincoln when they were very young, and then as the mother and son they are. Luna sees Lincoln getting beaten up.
"L-Lincoln? Lincoln…. Lincoln, no!"
Arnold then lands one last punch onto Lincoln and then he shows that he has a knife. "Time for Chandler McCann to win! As he should have!" Arnold is about to stab the boy who now has blood coming from his mouth and lots of bruises.
But then someone grabs his hand with the knife and he sees a very angry Luna, and she has her signature shotgun stare. "Don't touch my boy!" She tosses him with all her strength and the man lands face first to the stop sign.
Luna goes over and she checks on Lincoln. "Lincoln, please… No, please. My son, don't leave me. I…. I'm sorry, I forgot. Please." She begins to shed some tears from seeing her son all bruised up.
Lincoln slowly opens his eyes and sees the tears in her eyes, and he sees the necklace she's holding. "M-Mom…. Mommy?"
Luna is wide eyed hearing that and she cradles her son. "Lincoln…. Hang in there, we're gonna get you help." The folks see this and they begin to call 911. But Arnold is getting up and he's ready to attack.
Arnold sees his knife is gone and he can't find it. "You're gonna suffer for that!" He tries to attack her and punch Luna, but his fist is caught as Luna doesn't look to him, she's holding his fist.
Luna then looks to him with fire in her eyes. She then gets up and Arnold is now feeling small and scared. "Fucking piece of McCann trash you are!" She then kicks him in the knee, and then she elbows his face and then she throws him onto the pavement.
Luna then gives one hell of a wedgie and then she spins him around and slams his face first onto the ground and then she throws him into the trash can. She grabs a steel pipe and hits him multiple times and then she kicks him off, and the man stumbles and is hit by a red Ferrari that stops and knocks him away.
Arnold McCann is now laying on the ground and a mess, and a cop who was patrolling arrives, Tristen D. Pingrey. "Holy crud. So, this is the McCann who came here, dang."
Michelle and Delilah see that Luna is now carrying Lincoln and she's wearing the necklace. They then look to her. "Luna?"
Luna is in tears. "No time! We need to bring him to the hospital, now!" She goes into her car and she straps Lincoln in. "Son, you're gonna be alright!" She then goes into the car and she starts the engine and she drives off.
Michelle and Delilah go back into the car and they too follow them and begin to contact the others with a text message. "Luna Loud is back! Head to the Royal Woods General Hospital, now!"
Lincoln looks at the window and then he looks to Luna who is driving fast and using her skills to evade stop light areas and make her way through areas where she can go fast, the same kind of stuff Luna Loud would do.
Lincoln smiles and he slowly closes his eyes. "M-Mom…. Mom…." He then reaches for her, and Luna holds his hand as she drives, and she smiles and has tears.
'Mommy's back Linc…. And I am not letting you lose me again! You're never gonna lose me, my son.'

A/N: And all it took was a complicated matter and three other stuff: The place where it all began, a last name of someone who harmed them and an item that binded their mother and son relationship together, Lincoln will be fine and the rest will be the next chapter.
