A good, peaceful and normal day for the summer, but things will turn from bad, to near critical worse, and we know who would enact such trouble. Enjoy reading this guys.

Chapter 344: Picnic, then bedlam.

(August 23. Franklin Avenue.)

Leni loads her car with the picnic stuff they need, and she gets some help from Kurt. "Thanks you, what about your family?"

Kurt helps bring the four picnic baskets into the car. "Don't worry…. They got that handled." They watch as Jeremy, Hanna and Maddeline load the barbeque grill and other stuff into the back of the truck. "They have been hard working, and so am I. Besides, this isn't as hard as what we do on the ranch."

Luan then arrives and she has the giant picnic blanket. "Hey guys, got the blanket and this thing is pretty big. Thankfully, Maggie taught me how to fold them properly." She then places it into the trunk of the car. "So, where are the Louds?"

"Over there." They spot the louds. Lincoln, Luna, Michelle and Delilah and everything they have is being put into their rides, and they made a lot of food. "Something tells me that a whole lot of food is gonna shown, and thankfully we're gonna have a lot of guests."

Kurt then asks. "So, we have the Louds, and then we have my family, along with yours. Anyone else tagging along?" He then closes the trunk.

Luan answers that one. "The Rosato's, and the Sharp's. They're also gonna be bringing something to this big family picnic. A shame the other former sibs couldn't come and be part of this." she then goes into the car.

Kurt looks towards Leni. "So, why aren't the others coming along? Well, besides the Johnson's, we know Lola is still grounded."

Leni then explains. "Lisa and her family are off to a museum, and then we have Lucy and her family and those guys are headed to Great Lakes City, to check up on their uncle there. So, that just leaves the rest of us here, also Lily is having a playdate with some newcomers in town, the Henvers. Never met them before."

She then heads to the driver's seat of her car. "But I do wanna see them one day. Also, I already have plans on when we can meet with Lori, if you want."

Kurt nods. "Sure, I mean she's the only former sibling I haven't met yet, and I wanna know how she's been feeling now that she's… Well, transferred to a new place. The others gonna tag along?"

Leni nods. "Of course, Lincoln and the others wanna know how she's been handling too." They then hear the truck horn and see Maddeline wave to her brother. "Well, looks like we're all ready to go." They even see the Louds are all inside their cars and ready to drive off.

Kurt then kisses Leni on her cheek. "See ya at the park." He then goes to his family and they begin to drive off. Leni smiles from this and soon they all drive off together, to Ketcham Park.

But all of them don't notice, a car is watching them and the man inside is spiteful towards them. 'Unruly people! Today, I shall purge them from this world and save the children from damnation!' So, he slowly drives and follows the group.

(Ketcham Park.)

Everything is all too peaceful here, everyone is just enjoying what they do around town, and whatever else they wanna do to spend the last remaining weeks of August, and summer vacation would be over when classes begin next month.

The folks around having a nice picnic, and those are the Louds, the Sharp's, the Rosato's, the Lauren's and the Logann's. The parents of course, and Michelle speak to each other, and they can tell that Michelle is concerned about her daughter, Delilah. After all, Bolhofner is still gonna be a teacher and they don't know how he's been since rehab.

Lincoln and Simon both play some video games, and Jordan, Luan and Maddeline are talking about what they plan to do when classes come back, and they can tell that Jordan is stoked for middle school and taking command of the dodge ball conflict at gym class.

Leni and Kurt are both chatting about what they plan to do when they have their next date, and even speak about how Kurt would win if he did enter a big time race, and advance from his rookie ranks. After all, Bobbie Fletcher is the one car he has to try and outrace.

Luna and Sam watch this go on and they smile. "This is nice, just all of us and with no sudden issues. We dealt with Great Lakes, we made sure a lot of the bad folks are locked up and same goes with that dork of a pit crew man" said Luna.

Sam nods. "True, but the one thing we have that might be a common threat, is that damned priest. The…. What's his name again? Oh, Alfred Goodman. Any word on him?"

Luna thinks this through. "No, we haven't been told about his whereabouts, and we don't even know if he's done anything wrong lately… But, he's still dangerous and we have to keep an eye on when he might come back. We have trained and we have learned and he can't get the drop on us."

Sam nods. "Speaking of priests." They spot the local priest of the town, Roland P. Chisel and he speaks with Harold and Howard and Clyde about something, and this concerns them and this also hurts them to know, whatever this is, it doesn't sound like good news.

Luna didn't like this. "Something doesn't seem right…."

Then Lincoln walks towards them. "Mom, Sam. Simon and I are…."

Then something grabs Lincoln around his neck, and it's a chain and he's yanked towards someone and that someone is Alfred Goodman and he has a knife in the other hand and he…. Wait, why the heck is he dressed like an old-fashioned priest?

"Today! I shall purge this child of his darkness! Lord above, save this boy, return him to you!" He attempts to stab Lincoln in the heart. But Lincoln uses his right hand and he holds the knife, but this is making his hand bleed.

Then Luna tackles the priest and she begins to punch him, but the man pushes her off and he slashes at her left arm. "Wretched curse of the world! You will be returned to the evil you…" Sam throws her boot and this hits the priest in the face.

Sam then grabs her boot and she hits him again and then she dodges his knife attack and kicks him in the left foot and then she delivers a punch to his face. "Don't ever touch them!"

But then he grabs her leg and he throws her off and she lands onto Luna. Delilah goes over and helps, and soon the rest of the folks go over to confront the priest. But Alfred has his chain and he spins it around to keep everyone away from him.

"Back! Back, all of you! All of you have been tainted by these wretches! You shall all stop and obey the words I say, for my words are true!" But then the chain is caught, by Jeremy Logann and this man… He does not look in the mood for this.

"Well, this sure is a dangerous pickle we got, and you sir are making things mighty difficult here. So, I suggest you stop before things get dang too physical for everyone." He then pulls the chain and the priest tries to pull it back, but Jeremy is stronger.

Everyone begins to yell at the man to leave, but he is angered by all of this. He then sees Luna and Sam are helped up by Delilah and Lincoln is being helped by Clyde and the McBride's. "You are all tainted! Die!" He then let's go of the chain.

The twisted priest throws two knives and one is about to hit Clyde, but Lincoln pushes him aside and he's struck to his right side of the chest, and Luna pushes Sam aside and she's hit at her stomach and the duo fall to the ground and are bleeding.

Everyone is shocked at what happened and they all begin to tend to them after they got injured. The priest then has a sword. "Today, if you shall not obey me, then all must be brought to the justice of the lord!" He is about to swing at the McBride's but then Jeremy punches him away, and then Kurt tackles him and then punches the priest repeatedly.

But he gets away as the man is about to stab him with the sword. Michelle then grabs the nearby trash can and she throws it onto the priest and he stumbles, and they all hear a gun shot. They all see Officer Tristen and he shot Alfred Goodman in the back.

He screams in pain. "Sacrilege! Unholy! Wretches! God shall smite down all of you…" Then something invisible grabs him, and it reveals to be Harriet and she does not look pleased.

"You said you believe in god. Well…. What about the devil?" Her eyes glow red and she screeches in front of his face, and the priest screams in horror by what he sees, and his eyes are left lifeless. She then drops the man's corpse and sighs. "Bastard."

They all see the ambulances have arrived, and the paramedics go over to bring Lincoln and Luna to the hospital, and some of the others, such as Sam and Jordan go with them. Inside the ambulance, they try to patch up the wounds.

Luna looks to her son and she cries, she then holds her son's hand and he's unconscious. "L-Lincoln…. Linc…" she then blacks out and holds his hand and doesn't let go.
