WHAT IF - SPECIAL 2 - CAUGHT SOMEWHERE IN TIME PART 1

This three part special (I know that initially wrote that that it was two in my notes for the last episode, but that was a mistake) is based on an idea I got after watching "Back to the Future" for what must be at least the 30th time. Why have watched it so many times? Because it´s "Back to the Future" and it is still the greatest movie ever made, if you ask me! The second movie I ever saw in the cinema was "Back to the Future Part 2" (the first one being "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?"), way back before most of you readers were even born yet! Anyway, they´re stand alone episodes, so you can skip them and not miss anything in regards to future storylines, but I´d like to think that they make for a fun and slightly different kind of read, even though you guys must be used to getting the unexpected from me by now. It´s Degrassi meets Sci-Fi, for perhaps the first and last time!

Having seen the finale movie to the OG Degrassi series "School´s Out" isn´t in any way a requirement for reading it, but I guess it would help to at least know the story in it first, because many events in this one tie into the events of "School´s Out". But, as I always try to do with my work, you can also just read it and enjoy it for what it is, without having any kind of first hand knowledge or having seen as much as a second of the OG series. If you don´t feel like giving up a few hours of your life to watch it on HBO Max or YouTube (if it´s available on it in your country, like it is here), there´s plenty of great recaps of it on-line at places like Fandom or Wikipedia, that will quickly get you up to date in a matter of a few minutes.

The title of this special is taken from an Iron Maiden song. I´ve decided to release them over the weekend, so that the first episode comes out today, the second tomorrow and the finale on Sunday. I hope you´ll enjoy it and as always, your comments and reviews are very appreciated!

1. Int. Living Room. Evening.

JT, Manny, Joey and Caitlin are watching Lucy´s old horror movie "It Creeps" and find it very amusing. They´ve reached the scene, where we see Joey´s character get killed off through the glass door and they all have to laugh out loud at it.

Manny:

My life is complete, now that I´m finally watching this!

JT:

How old were you, when you made this?

Caitlin:

16, 17.

Manny:

It´s crazy to think, that you were our age once.

Joey:

Hey! We´re not that old!

JT:

What are you, like 50?

Joey:

Try 33!

Caitlin:

You guys should have been there. The late 80´s and early 90´s were an awesome time to be a teenager.

Joey:

The music was better, mobile phones could hardly be called mobile, the internet was just an idea, that could happen far into the future.

JT:

It sounds like hell!

Caitlin:

Actually, it was pretty great. I wouldn´t trade that time in for anything.

Joey:

Me neither.

The two of them kiss.

2. Int. Manny and JT´s Room. Evening.

JT and Manny are kissing goodnight.

Manny:

Do you think we´ll be like them in fifteen years, longing for our glory years to come back?

JT:

Are these our glory years? Thanks for telling me. Now I can really enjoy them, knowing that it´s only downhill from here!

Manny giggles.

Manny:

How do you think, we would have fit in back then?

JT:

Probably the same as now. They would all love you and think, that I´m a weirdo.

Manny:

At least, you´re my weirdo. Nightie night.

JT:

Sleep tight.

Manny smiles at him one last time, before closing her eyes.

3. Int. Living Room. Evening.

Manny comes back in. Caitlin is looking through an old photo album.

Caitlin:

Couldn´t sleep?

Manny:

JT is snoring. I need to be more tired, before I can fall asleep.

Caitlyn:

You could just sleep in here.

Manny:

Thanks, but no thanks. If I´m gonna spend the rest of my life with him, I might have to invest in a pair of ear plugs, though!

Caitlyn laughs and Manny sits down next to her.

Manny:

Has Joey gone to bed?

Caitlin:

Yeah, he has an early meeting tomorrow.

Manny:

Are those pictures of you in High School?

Caitlin nods and Manny sits down next to her.

Manny:

Wow! You were all so ... 80´s looking! Wasn´t this the 90´s?

Caitlin:

It took a while for the last fashion disasters from the 80´s to go away! Not that the huge, over-sized baggy pants of the early to mid 90´s were any better!

Manny:

I´ve seen the early episodes of 90210 and yeah, it wasn´t a good look for anyone!

Caitlin:

Check out the mullets on display!

Manny:

Did girls actually find haircuts like that attractive?

Caitlin:

Some girls did. Bad teenage moustaches were a hit with many of them too.

Manny:

No way!

Caitlin:

It´s sadly true!

Manny:

Is Tessa in there? I´m kind of curious, what she looked like.

Caitlin turns a few pages and points out Tessa Campanelli to her. She looks very cute and adorable in her picture and not like someone, you would pick to ever do anything, like what she ended up doing with Joey. If anything, a casual observer would have thought the opposite of her and more like someone, who´s still just a big kid.

Caitlin:

That´s her.

Manny:

I was picturing some hot Femme Fatale. She doesn´t look like anyone special.

Caitlin:

She was to Joey. Anyway, it all worked out for the best. I´m almost certain that me and him would have split up thanks to the distance between us, if we had tried staying together with me in college and him still in high school. Sometimes the timing is as important, as the people involved are.

Manny:

Can you imagine the ramifications, if you had? My life would have been completely different, for one thing. I most likely wouldn´t have met Craig, I never would have had Julia or if I did, then it would have been with some other guy. It could even mean, that me and Emma would never have met.

Caitlin:

You could spend a lifetime, trying to make sense of life´s what if´s. In my experience, it´s better to concentrate on the future, than the past.

Manny:

That´s true. It is an interesting thought, though.

She thinks about it.

4. Int. JT and Manny´s Bedroom. Evening.

Manny is getting comfortable next to a snoring JT, as she gets ready to go to sleep.

Manny (to herself):

Can you imagine yourself with that kind of early 90´s hair?

She smiles to herself, while thinking about it and turns out the light.

5. Int. JT and Manny´s Bedroom. Night.

While JT and Manny are sleeping, the door is quietly opened, but we can´t see by whom. A slender woman´s hand places a wand in Manny´s, without her waking up.

OPENING CREDITS - EARLY 90´S STYLE AND WITH THE CLASSIC INTRO SONG IN STEAD OF THE "NEXT GENERATION ONE", LIKE IN THE OG SERIES AND WITH MANNY WITH A FASHION GET UP AND HAIR-DO TO MATCH THE OTHERS INSERTED INTO IT.

6. Int. Manny´s Room (1992 version). Morning.

The 1992 version of Manny´s room looks quite different from how it looks in the future. There´s posters of Madonna, George Michael and Michael Jackson on the wall, for one thing. She wakes up and wipes the sleep from her eyes. Opening them, she makes wide eyes, as she looks around and sits up.

Manny:

Where the heck am I and where´s JT?

She tries to scratch her hair, but her hand almost gets stuck to it.

Manny:

And why do I have ten gallons of hairspray in my hair?

There´s a knock on the door as she notices the strange item, she´s holding.

Tessa (off screen):

Are you awake?

Manny:

I guess so! Come in!

She quickly hides it away under the covers. The sweet and bubbly 16 year old blonde girl Tessa Campanelli comes in and is looking very cheerful.

Tessa:

Good morning, Sunshine! Are you ready for the final day of school?

Manny decides to play along with it.

Manny:

Of course, I am. I´ve been looking forward to it all year, haven´t I?

Tessa:

This is gonna be the best summer ever, I can feel it!

Manny:

Why do you think that?

Tessa smiles to herself and gets a faraway look in her eyes.

Tessa:

I shouldn´t say.

Manny:

You can tell me.

Tessa:

Joey has been flirting with me, or at least, I think he has. Todd is okay, but he isn´t a romantic, like Joey is.

Manny:

Which Todd?

Tessa:

I meant Todd, my boyfriend, silly! Get ready, we have a whole day of fun ahead of us!

Tessa smiles at her and leaves her. Manny tries to take it in.

Manny:

What on earth is going on?

She tries pinching herself to see if she´s sleeping, but it doesn´t work. She then gets the wand out from under the covers and reads the note, that´s attached to it.

Manny:

"When you feel like you´re ready to return to your own time, say the words "Goddess of Light, take me home" while holding the wand and go to sleep. When you will wake up, you will be back in your own time".

Manny looks the wand over, looking a little intrigued by it.

Manny:

So this is what an actual magic wand looks like!

She goes back to reading the note.

Manny:

"Don´t go back yet though. There are things here in 1992, that you need to see. Have fun".

She´s a little puzzled by the last part, but doesn´t look too unhappy about the whole thing.

Manny:

Why not, now that I´m here?

She gets out of bed and hides the wand in a drawer, before going to check her closet. It´s full of way too many things in pastel colors!

Manny:

Well, Manny, it looks like you have the choice between pastel and pastel!

She tries to pick out the best outfit, she can and is lucky to find a pair of jeans too. She puts them on and checks herself in the mirror, but looks almost disgusted at what she sees!

Manny:

Mom jeans? Teenage girls actually wore these?

She looks down at the jeans and then over at the rest of her choices and decides that the mom jeans are the lesser of two evils.

7. Int. Car. Morning.

Tessa and Manny (who´s made herself up to look as much as the girls she saw in Caitlin´s yearbook, so as not to cause suspicion) are being driven to school by Tessa´s dad. Tessa is rocking along to "Hanging Tough" by New Kids on the Block, playing from the car radio.

Tessa:

Aren´t New Kids just the best? And to think, that they´re only getting started! Just imagine how many hits, they´ll end up having!

Tessa´s Dad:

What kind of music is your favorite, Manny?

Manny:

I´m not too picky. Hip-Hop, Rock, Pop, Latin, as long as it sounds good, I usually like it.

Tessa´s Dad:

Have you heard that band Pearl Jam? That´s my kind of music!

Tessa:

It´s because they sound like something from when you were young in the 70´s! Jeez, you´re so old fashioned, dad!

Manny:

Actually, I like them too. I saw them live two years ago.

Tessa looks at her suspiciously.

Tessa:

How could you have seen them two years ago? Didn´t their first album just come out a few months ago?

Manny sees her mistake and tries to save it.

Manny:

It´s a long and very boring story! In fact, you would probably get bored to death, if I told it, so I´ll spare you.

Tessa:

Are you okay? You´re not your usual self this morning.

Manny (quietly to herself):

You can say that again!

Tessa:

What did you say?

Manny:

It´s probably just excitement over it being the last day of school.

She looks out the window at the "Old Toronto", as they pass by it.

8. Ext. Degrassi. Morning.

The students are in a great mood, as the last day of school is about to start. We see that Alexa and Simon are getting some good kissing time in before school starts, which makes Tessa smile. Manny is just trying to take it all in.

Tessa:

I don´t think, I´ll be the only one, to get lucky this summer!

Manny:

Huh?

Tessa:

Alexa and Simon. I heard that he asked her to marry him!

Manny:

They are kind of cute together.

Tessa:

How they´ve stayed together since grade 8 is so romantic! I hope that mine and Joey´s love becomes a real true love like theirs!

They come up to the entrance, where a young Spike and her fellow punky looking friend Liz are handing out flyers. Manny takes a flyer and looks at it. It´s called "5 ways to have safe sex".

Spike:

HIV doesn´t care, if it´s summer or winter.

Liz:

Pregnancy isn´t the only danger, when it comes to sex. Stay safe and stay alive.

Manny:

Thanks for the advice!

She smiles shyly at Spike, before heading inside. Spike watches her walk away, making Liz curious.

Liz:

What is it?

Spike:

It feels like I know that girl, but I´ve never talked to her before now. Strange, huh?

Liz:

Maybe it´s because she´s friends with the school´s biggest Hussy, who you for some inexplicable reason decided to befriend?

Spike:

Tessa isn´t any worse, than nearly all of the other girls here. She´s more than a little naive, when it comes to boys and their intentions with her, but I would never call her a Hussy.

Liz:

I call them, like I see them!

They go back to handing their flyers out.

9. Int. Hallway. Morning.

Manny and Tessa are walking up the hallway. They see Joey goofing of with a young Snake and their buddy Wheels, with his huge mullet and thick glasses. Manny is so shocked at the sight that she mouths "Joey and Snake with hair?" to herself.

Joey:

Guys, we´ve got a whole summer of partying ahead of us!

Wheels:

It´s just a shame, you´re not graduating with us.

Joey:

I´ve made my peace with it a long time ago. Next year, I´ll take my revenge!

Snake:

What about Caitlin?

Joey:

I have the perfect solution. Just wait and see.

Manny makes eye contact with Wheels and they smile at each other, as they pass by. Tessa gets giddy at it.

Tessa:

You like Wheels?

Manny:

I don´t even know him.

Tessa:

Everyone says that he´s super nice, Joey included. It´s just so sad, what happened with his parents.

Manny:

What happened?

Tessa:

They were killed in a car crash a few years ago. I must have told you this before.

Manny:

Of course. Poor guy.

Tessa:

I don´t think he has a girlfriend, if you´re interested in him.

Manny looks back over her shoulder at him and he´s still watching her. She doesn´t look completely dismissive of it.

Manny:

He is sort of cute, in his own hair metal loving kind of way!

Her and Tessa giggle like school girls.

10. Int. Classroom. Morning.

Tessa and Manny come in and Manny´s jaw almost drops again, this time at the sight of a younger Raditch, who´s actually looking happy and like he thoroughly enjoys his job! She takes a seat next to Tessa, as Joey comes in at the last second.

Joey:

I´m not late, am I?

Raditch:

You just made it in time, Joey.

Joey takes a deep sigh of relief and takes the one free seat, which happens to be next to Manny. He smiles at her and Tessa, who smile back at him.

Tessa:

Hey, Joey. Are you and your friends coming to the party at Lucy´s house?

Joey:

We don´t plan on missing it!

Tessa:

Cool! See you there!

They try to concentrate on the lesson, but Manny can clearly feel the raw sexual attraction, she´s stuck in between.

11. Int. Cafeteria. Day.

Manny is in line for lunch and is right behind Spike. The food looks pretty much the same, as it looks in the future, to her disappointment.

Manny (to herself):

Pizza, oh Pizza, where art thou?

Spike looks back at her and smiles.

Spike:

Do you always have a habit of talking to yourself?

Manny:

At least I know, that no one will disagree with me!

Spike giggles.

Spike:

I guess, that´s true! You´re friends with Tessa, aren´t you?

Manny:

I´m Manny.

Spike:

My name is Christine, but everyone calls me Spike because ...

She points at her wild haircut.

Spike:

Hello!

Manny giggles and they´re clearly hitting it off.

Manny:

Are you coming to the party at Lucy´s house tonight?

Spike:

I wish, I could, but I have to miss yet another party, because I have to babysit my daughter. The closest I´ll get to a party this summer, will be rush hour at the photo hut, where I work.

Manny:

You´re so brave, raising her on your own. I don´t think, I could do it.

Spike:

Thanks. At least you´re not one of those, who wanted me to get kicked out, for being a bad influence on everyone else.

Manny:

They actually said that to you? How dare they!

Spike smiles at her reaction.

Spike:

You´re not like other girls, are you, Manny?

Manny:

Where´s the fun in being like everyone else?

Spike:

That´s exactly, what I like to say! What a coincidence, huh?

They smile at each other.

12. Int. Lucy´s House. Evening.

Manny is trying to fit in at the party at Lucy´s house, which is truly a rager! She has a sip of beer, as she tries to stay out of a conversation between Tessa and Todd, Tessa´s boyfriend.

Tessa:

You know how I feel about you getting high.

Todd:

If you´re gonna be a buzzkill, then leave me alone. Are you coming or not?

Tessa:

In a moment. I´ll find you.

Todd leaves them and heads outside.

Manny:

Why are you dating him, exactly?

Tessa:

I´ve been asking myself that question a lot lately. It was fun in the beginning, but now all he wants to do is get high all the time. I´m not even sure, if he cares about me or I´m just another girl, for him to make out with.

Manny:

Take a word of advice from me. If he cares more about getting high, than getting with you, then it´s time to get out.

Tessa:

You´re probably right. You don´t have to join me, if you don´t want to. They´re not exactly interesting to listen to, when they´re smoking weed.

Manny:

I might join you later.

Wheels comes in with Snake and is looking more than a little drunk.

Wheels:

LET´S PARTY!

He gets a big woo from Alexa.

Tessa:

Look, who just walked through the door.

Manny:

Isn´t that interesting?

Tessa:

Good luck!

Tessa leaves her and she makes eye contact with Wheels, who comes over to her.

Wheels:

If it isn´t the mystery girl?

Manny:

If it isn´t the mystery boy? My name is Manuela, but I go by Manny.

Wheels:

It´s cute. I´m Derek, but they call me Wheels, both because my last name is Wheeler and because I´ve always been good with engines.

Manny:

Cool. Do you want to get to know each other a little better?

Wheels:

You read my mind, Manny!

They smile at each other, as Caitlin and Joey are let in by Lucy. They look like a happy couple.

13. Int. Hobby Room. Evening.

Manny is shooting pool against Wheels and Snake. She beats them easily and they applaud her.

Snake:

The girl can play!

Manny:

You boys just need to learn, that girls can kick butt too!

Wheels:

I see that we have a feminist in our ranks.

Manny:

It´s not feminist to like a little girl power!

Snake:

Girl power?

Wheels:

Is that a sexual thing? Cuz if it is, then I´m into it!

Manny (to herself):

Of course. The Spice Girls haven´t come around yet!

Snake:

Spice girls! I like the sound of that!

Wheels:

Who doesn´t like girls, that are spicy?

Joey comes in, looking disappointed.

Joey:

I´m heading home, you guys.

Wheels:

You can´t leave now!

Joey:

Caitlin turned me down, okay?

Snake:

I´m sorry, Joey.

Joey:

I´s rather not talk about it. Have a great party.

He leaves them and looks depressed. They all feel sorry for him.

Manny:

I don´t need to know what that was about, to feel sorry for him.

Snake:

Him and Caitlin have been on and off for the past god knows how many years. Tonight was the night, he was gonna pop the big question to her, which I guess, he did.

Wheels:

Only it looks like he didn´t get the answer, he was wishing for.

Manny:

Poor guy!

Wheels:

They always were kind of an odd couple, but he really loves her with all of his heart.

Snake:

They´ll work it out. I mean, they have to, don´t they? I can´t imagine them not being together.

Manny:

They will be. I can feel it.

Snake and Wheels both look a little surprised at her answer.

14. Ext. Tessa´s House. Night.

Manny is dropped off by Wheels, who doesn´t look like he should be driving in his current state.

Wheels:

There you go!

Manny:

Thanks, Wheels. But you really shouldn´t be driving, when you´re drunk.

Wheels:

What´s the big deal?

Manny:

The big deal, is that I don´t want to see you hurt yourself or anyone else. One mistake while you´re driving, can have catastrophic consequences.

He at least pretends to be listening.

Wheels:

I´ll try not to in the future, okay?

Manny:

Good. Because you´re very easy to like.

She gives him a kiss on the cheek, before leaving him.

15. Int. Manny´s Room. Evening.

Manny comes in to find an exited Tessa waiting for her.

Tessa:

I´m so sorry, that I left you there.

Manny:

It´s okay. I got a ride with Wheels.

Tessa:

Is he your boyfriend now?

Manny:

No. We´re just getting to know each other.

Tessa:

I kissed Joey!

She smiles widely, but Manny doesn´t, as she takes a seat next to her.

Manny:

How did this happen?

Tessa:

He was upset that he´d had a fight with Caitlin, I was a little upset after I´d broken up with Todd and one thing led to another. It was like a dream come true, Manny!

Manny:

What about his girlfriend?

Tessa:

She won´t be here next year, will she?

Manny:

Tessa, you´re such a naive little sweetheart, so please listen to me. You´ll only end up getting burnt, my little cuckoo banana!

Tessa is annoyed, that Manny is ruining her happy.

Tessa:

You don´t know that!

Manny:

Promise me, that you´ll be careful. I don´t want to see you get hurt.

Tessa:

Thanks for the concern, but Joey would never do anything to hurt me. He´s not that kind of guy.

Manny:

Love makes people do crazy things. Keep that in mind.

Tessa nods in understanding.

Tessa:

Like falling for a boy, who you know already has a girlfriend.

Manny:

Any boy who would use someone, who´s as innocent as you are, in that kind of way, isn´t worth your time. They´re what we call jerks.

Tessa:

Don´t you think he´ll break up with her, if he decides that he likes me more?

Manny shakes her head to Tessa´s disappointment.

Manny:

The only outcome I see is you getting hurt and you´re too sweet and inexperienced to see, what he´s doing to you.

It looks like Manny´s words are getting at least a little through to her.

16. Int. Manny´s Bedroom. Evening. (Later)

Manny lies in bed holding her magic wand, while trying to decide whether to stay or not.

Manny (to herself):

I could stay for a few more days. Nah, I have things to do in my own time!

She holds the wand with both hands and closes her eyes.

Manny:

Goddess of light, take me home.

She can´t help looking a little sad that she´s leaving, since she was starting to have so much fun here.

17. Int. Manny´s Room (Alternate Future). Morning.

Manny is looking around at the room, that looks nothing like it did before. It´s more of a room filled with old junk, that should have been thrown out years ago, than anything else. She looks sore after having woken up on the floor.

Manny (to herself):

This is turning into an episode of the X-Files!

Confused by the whole thing, she makes her way out the door.

18. Int. Living Room. Morning.

Manny comes down to the living room and looks around. It´s the same house as before, only it´s differently and much more sparsely furnished.

Manny:

Is anyone here?

Joey approaches her, holding a knife in front of him.

Joey:

How did you get in?

Manny:

Joey, it´s me! I live here!

Joey:

I think, I´d remember, if I had a girl living here!

Manny:

Where´s Caitlin and Angie?

Joey:

Caitlin Ryan? I haven´t seen her in years. I don´t know who this Angie is supposed to be. Now get out, before I call the cops!

Manny:

Okay, I´ll leave! Chill!

She hurries out of there, as Joey tries to calm down.

19. Ext. Street. Morning.

Manny tries to make sense of it all.

Manny (to herself):

Did I change history?

She tries to come up with a plan.

20. Ext. Emma´s House. Morning.

Manny comes up towards Emma´s house, just in time to see Emma storming out with Spike following after her.

Emma:

I hate you!

Spike:

Emma, we can talk about this!

Emma:

You don´t understand and you never will!

She storms up the street, as Manny comes walking up to Spike.

Manny:

Hi, Spike.

Spike looks away from Emma and at Manny. She looks like, she´s seeing a ghost.

21. Int. Emma´s House. Morning.

Manny is eating breakfast, while Spike watches her and is still trying to take it in.

Spike:

I remember you from Degrassi back in the day. How have you not aged at all since then?

Manny:

I´m still pretty sure, this is a dream.

Spike doesn´t know how to react to it.

Spike:

Are you sure?

Manny:

How else will you explain, that I´m now time travelling?

Spike:

You´ve lost me! Time travelling?

Manny:

I´m from now, just not the now that is now! Does that make sense?

Spike:

Like an alternate timeline?

Manny:

You could call it that. In my reality, I live with Joey, Caitlin, my boyfriend JT and Joey´s daughter Angie. She´s like a little sister to me and JT and like an older sister to my daughter.

Spike:

Why don´t you exist in this reality, then?

Manny:

I guess, I must do. I guess that I never met Emma and therefore not you either in this timeline.

Spike stands up and starts pacing the room.

Spike:

That´s crazy! Joey doesn´t have a daughter. Tessa couldn´t have children after she miscarried all those years ago. It´s why their marriage didn´t last.

Manny puts two and two together.

Manny:

I know why the future has changed. She listened to me and played it safe with Joey, in stead of rushing in head first.

Spike:

So, in your world, Joey and Caitlin are a couple?

Manny:

A happy one at that. How do I get back there?

Spike:

You´re asking me?

Manny:

What about your husband? Maybe he knows.

Spike:

I´m not married. Emma is far too much of a handful, for any guy to stick around.

Manny:

In my world, we´re best friends. I must have been a good influence on her.

Spike:

Just out of curiosity, who am I married to?

Manny smiles shyly at her.

22. Int. Snake´s Apartment. Day.

Spike and Manny are with Snake, who´s trying to understand.

Snake:

Let me sum this up. You fell asleep in your alternate timeline from the one we´re in right now and woke up in 1992?

Manny:

With the help of a magic wand, that I forgot in my hurry to get out of Joey´s house. If I´m not dreaming all of this, which I´m sincerely hoping, that I am.

Snake:

While in 1992, you somehow gave Tessa some great advice, that changed the present, is that correct so far?

Spike:

She also talked to me, while she was there. I remembered instantly, when I saw her. Like it was yesterday.

Manny:

In some ways, it was. I talked to you too, Snake.

Snake:

But if you remember her, why don´t I?

Spike:

Do you remember every girl you talked to once at a party?

Manny:

Especially those, where you were drinking?

Snake:

To be honest, I only vaguely remember anything from that party and it wasn´t like I was paying attention to what Tessa was doing, until she hooked up with Joey. Have you considered talking to a therapist, Manny?

Manny:

If I wasn´t from an alternate reality, how would I know then, that you two have had a crush on each other, since you went to High School together?

Snake starts to believe her, as him and Spike smile shyly at each other.

Spike:

What else do you know?

Manny tries hard to think of something.

Manny:

Emma once told me, that you used to date a girl named Michelle and you had asked Spike to the Junior prom, but when Michelle asked you, Spike said that it was okay, if you went with Michelle in stead, because she only wanted the best for you and she didn´t think that was being with a teen mom.

Spike:

I´m a hundred percent positive, that I´ve never told Em that story.

Snake:

How could you possibly know that?

Manny:

Do you believe me now?

Snake:

I guess so!

Spike:

If there´s any way of helping her, we have to.

Manny:

Please, Snake. You´re the only one I know, who´s smart enough to help me.

Snake looks a little flattered, but still clueless on what to do.
