The call is made, and someone needs help and this is kinda based off of the episode called "Ghosted." But it's not Lori and Lucy is not bringing her Young Morticians Club friends and this is gonna be an easy ghost talk to go through, so enjoy reading this chapter everyone.

Family of Two.
Chapter 397: Ghost Problem.

(October 23. Fairway University.)

A purple Ferrari arrives and coming out are Luna, Lincoln, Lucy, Delilah and appearing out of nowhere, is Harriet Willard and they look to the large gate door of Fairway University. "This is it everyone, we're here." Luna has the car parked outside and they all make their way into the college.

They walk around and look to all the college students there and all of them seem busy for something and that something is the big Petoskey Open tournament, and they all seem to look at the group who walked in, mostly at Harriet.

"This does seem normal. After all, I am a ghost and… Wait, most folks would be scared to see a ghost like me. Something must be up…" She then stops and looks to them all. "Something is happening, I must leave you guys for the time being."

They watch as Harrier fades away and they all look to each other confused. "Well, there goes the paranormal help we needed" said Lincoln.

Delilah smirks. "Then I guess this is all on us. You guys look for Carol and talk to her, I am gonna go and do my research! To the Library!" She races off to the library and this kinda freaks them out.

"Well, she does love reading" said Luna. She then sees someone. "Also, Pingrey inbound." They all spot Carol Pingrey and she's not alone, with her is Becky Jill Miller, and they go over and talk to them. "What's up dudes?"

Becky chuckles. "All good here, Luna. Well sorta."

Carol then ruffles Lincoln's white hair. "Good to see you again, little Loud."

This makes Lincoln chuckles. "Good to see you too, Carol. But we didn't come here just to visit you. You called us for the help from Harriet, and we also brought Lucy, so what the heck is the problem Carol?"

Carol sighs and Becky nods, they have to tell them. "Guys, when I was practicing the other day, I noticed someone placed a golf ball for me, and the golf club was floating and that got me thinking that maybe I was practicing too much."

Becky then speaks. "I was at the library and what I was doing was getting ready for the big test, and I needed every book to know every kind of grass on the course. Then a book opened for me, and floated and then tons of books were piled on the table and it freaked me out and so I bailed."

Carol speaks again. "I went to the local college bar for something to drink and then a drink was ready for me and kept moving closer, and so I took it and when I was done another showed up and I didn't want it and so I left and that got me wondering on what the heck was going on here!"

Becky then calms her down and she speaks. "We both share a dorm room together and we both came back and told each other what we encountered and then things went, awry in our room. Then we felt nervous and felt unsettled, and we went to get something to calm down by the golf course, then our bags moved for us, we screamed and bailed."

This surprises them and Luna pulls her son close to her. "Dudes, that is super freaky and we thought Harriet was weird."

Lucy thinks about this. "Doesn't sound like a restless spirit, more like a ghost with a purpose to do that. We have to try and find out who or what you are up against. To the golf course."

(Later.)

They all make it to the golf course and they look around the place. Carol then seems upset. "This is where I encountered the moving golf clubs and then the bags, and…. Wow. I can't even focus with all of this stuff going on." She takes a seat, from a chair that came out of nowhere.

She freaks out and jumps on Luna who carries her. "What the heck was that?!" She puts her down and they see the bench that showed up. Lincoln also backs up and Becky as well.

Lucy goes over to the bench. "There is a sprit lingering here, but why bring the bench closer. Seems like he is trying to be helpful, or has other intentions. I can't seem to communicate to the ghost, this is odd."

"Would be nice if Harriet was here right now" said Lincoln. "But she left and we don't even know why!"

Becky then sees a golf bag move and placed in a better spot, and then a golf club is handed to her and she backs away and Carol hides behind her. "What the heck is happening?! Why is this ghost even doing this?!"

Luna then takes the golf club, and she throws it back to the bag. "I don't know what the heck this spooky specters ordeal is, but we're not gonna let it keep making you stressed. I mean, what the heck does this ghost want is something we all don't know. But, something tells me, it might not be over."

Becky is annoyed by this. "Dang it, if this keeps up then we're not gonna be focused or even think straight and at this point, I might end up leaving the college. This is…. I didn't sign up for a college with a ghost! Harriet is tolerable, because she doesn't haunt everyone."

Carol also calms down. "I am chill with Harriet, she seems alright to know when folks need to do some stuff on their own and I am a focus gal, but all of this… This is something I can't handle. What the hell does this damned ghost even want?!"

Her yelling causes the golf clubs to fall, and they feel like something has changed. Lincoln then sees. "Carol, did you just scare the ghost away?"

Lucy goes around. "It feels like it. There is no spiritual presence here."

Then Delilah shows up and she has a book. "Guys! Guys, I found something that could help!" She then shows them the book. "This is a Year Book from 1900's, and I think I know who the ghost might be, now what have you gals known about the weird stuff happening."

Carol and Becky tell her what they told Luna, Lincoln and Lucy and Delilah smiles and she shows them something in the year book. "The ghost is Shanks Bogey and he has been well-known round Fairway for a long, long time, mostly to those who were once freshmen here."

Delilah then tells them what else she learned from the library. "Shanks Bogey is a Golf Whisperer, and he's been around as the best help around the college for a long, long time. An adviser, caddie and a dang good friend. He rallied Fairway when they felt losing, and he can carry six golf bags all at once."

"He knew exactly what club to use on every hole, he would do anything for the university team, and he even swam into the water trap and fought the gator there. He was given a full time gig here after graduation as a caddie and he accepted it too. He then kept helping when the tournament was up, and even in the afterlife, he was a…. Oh, um… Good Luck Charm to the College."

Lincoln and Luna didn't like the sound of that one. "So, he knows what folks need right?" asked Luna. "Well, why didn't he just know that Carol and Becky didn't need any help? The gals are freshmen yes, but they know what to do. They've been through so much before coming to this place."

Carol looks to her phone and she is irritated. "All this time, some ghost from before has been helping us, when clearly he doesn't know that Becky and I can handle ourselves?!" She then grabs the golf club she knows she can use and she hits the ball with fury and it lands very far away and hits the 18th hole.

They clap and are impressed and Becky smirks. "See that? She can handle it on her own, and so can i. But this ghost helping us, that's something making us lose our edge and balance. We're not used to other hauntings, we're used to Harriet because we "Know" her. We don't know this guy ghost."

Carol feels like bending her golf club, but she doesn't and she calms down. "This is, this is all too much stress for me to handle. I need… I think I should leave this place, doesn't seem fit for my taste anymore…"

"Stop." They all see Harriet and she surfaces from the ground and this doesn't scare Becky and Carol, and they greet her like normal.

"Hey Harriet."

Harriet nods. "I spoke with Shanks Bogey, he didn't know about what you girls can do and he is deeply sorry for trying to help. He just never met some freshmen who can handle things on their own and he is impressed. He's kinda afraid and ashamed of his actions and he's hiding, over by those trees."

They look to the trees and sees nothing. "He's gonna go and help someone else later, another freshmen, and the reason why he was never told, is because they don't tell freshmen until the tournament is over. Isn't that right, coach Niblets?!"

She waves her hand and the coach is dragged there, and some of the students go over. "I told everyone what was going on, and now… Tell them, you nimrod!"

The coach gets up and sees Carol and Becky are crossed at this, and he sighs. "Girls, my apologies for not telling you, it's just that we didn't think you two would need to know until the tournament was over. You're our best students here, and I should've told you sooner, please… Don't leave the university, you girls are pretty much aces here and the best chance we got to wining, again."

The college students who have been there longer also feel bad for not telling the two Royal Woods girls, because they didn't think they can handle things, without the need of a caddie or a ghost. Harriet then speaks.

"Shanks Bogey also said that he doesn't want you girls to leave. You're talent in golf is amazing, and is something not to be wasted. You're both smart, amazing and the best dang freshmen in this place. He promises, that through the whole time of you girls being here, he'll leave you two alone. He'll go and help others."

Carol and Becky think about this and then Carol calls out to the ghost. "Alright, fine! As long as you stay away and let us handle our own thing, then we'll remain. We don't wanna be annoyed and meddled by some ghost, we don't even know this guy!"

Becky also calls out. "We just wanna do our own thing, we have been since our times in Royal Woods and the whole ordeals that went down there. We're skilled, and we're good enough to be independent with no help. We'll ask for help when, and I mean "When" we need it."

Everyone else sighs in relief and even Coach Niblets, because he knows that he has never seen top notch golfers in a long time and Carol and Becky fit the bill as two of the best freshmen they have in the whole university.

Carol then grabs her golf club and so does Becky. They have the ball on the tee on the ground and they're backs are turned and they hit the ball and they don't even look and they're golf balls bounce off some trees and the wind changes course and they fly into the 18th hole, together.

This makes them all clap and cheer, and even the Coach, and Shanks is surprised. They can do that?

Carol and Becky chuckle. "Practice makes perfect!" they high five with each other, and they go back to their dorm rooms.

Luna, Lincoln, Lucy and Delilah sigh in relief, and then Lucy speaks. "Well, that was fast. Should we go somewhere to eat?"

The others think about this. "Yeah." They head back to the car, while Harriet goes over and speaks with Shanks, to keep an eye on Carol and Becky, but do not help them. Because those two girls, they can handle their own stuff, and they will ask for help when they need it the most.

To be continued.

A/N: A whole new take on the episode "Ghosted" This time, there is no need to worry about what goes on and now Carol can focus and feel less stressed from this ghost and the ghost will leave them alone, but will come when they ask for it. Leave a review and tell me what you all think.
