Chapter 4
"There it is…" Naruto whispered with wide eyes as gazed at the house. But then he took his sketch pad and a pencil out from his bag and started drawing the house and writing what he saw and what happened.
"Static dimension... Laserdisc sucked away..." Naruto made sure to add as much detail as possible in case he forgot.
After Naruto finished his sketch of the house and what he saw, he grabbed his skateboard and jumped on it and started skating as fast as he could and when he saw cars he ollied over them and carried on at the same speed. Finally he reached his Aunties house and jumped off his board and left it there; not even worried if it got stolen because it rolled under the Wattersons car. Naruto ran to the front door but calmed down.
'Calm down, they can't know you're hiding something. Just breathe and act like you never saw anything.' Naruto steeled himself and took his shoes off and placed them on the shoe rack.
"Hey guys I'm back…" Naruto said and saw no one at the table or Richard on the couch. "Hmmm, they must be asleep." Naruto theorised and walked upstairs and opened the latch to the attic and a ladder folded out. Naruto climbed into his room and saw it was dark, so he turned his flashlight from his phone on.
Naruto grabbed a pair of black boxers, black shorts with the cuffs red and a white tank top and took them to the bathroom and had an eight minute shower and brushed his teeth and tied his hair in a ponytail and then climbed back into the attic and took a pack of pocky and laid down on his bed reminiscing his experience with that house.
"Hmpt, I wonder what's gonna happen tomorrow?" Naruto said before drifting off into a peaceful abyss.
~The next morning~
"AH!" Naruto shouted and thrusted his arm into the air with a face of horror. Naruto sat up in his bed panting and gasping for air. "Oh it was just a nightmare!" Naruto said while panting and holding the side of his head.
Naruto looked over to his nightstand at the alarm clock which had "8:00 AM" imprinted on the small screen. Naruto got up from his bed after stretching and walked over to his closet and pulled out some clothes for the morning which consisted of a black shirt with a red spiral on the back, a pair of orange shorts with the cuffs black and white socks. He saw that his bed was a mess, so he quicky made it so it looked presentable and untied his ponytail and opened the latch to the attic and poked his head out of the doorway so he didn't hit anyone ( Richard ).
Seeing as the coast was clear Naruto climbed down the ladder and folded the ladder back into its starting position and closed the door. Naruto walked down stairs and saw that everyone was asleep and he sighed.
"Welp Bacon and eggs with some toast on the side sounds good." Naruto said as he walked into the kitchen and opened the fridge but saw that there were no eggs or bacon at all.
"Man, Uncle and his food. I'll just go to the store real quick and pick up some bread, eggs and bacon…maybe some gum." Naruto said as he went back upstairs and opened his room door and climbed up the ladder and grabbed a pair of black cargo pants and a white tank top and his white hoodie and brought his bag so he doesn't have to carry so much weight.
~Gumball, Darwin and Anais's bedroom~
Surprisingly instead of Anais waking up first it was Gumball.
"Haa, Man, Penny was so amazing, I'm glad she asked me to go with her to the treehouse." Gumball said dreamily and he got up out of bed and stretched and looked at his alarm clock and it read "8:18 AM" and walked out of his room to the bathroom to relieve himself. After his business Gumball walked down stairs in his pajamas.
Which consisted of a white shirt with the arm cuffs coloured red along with and with the neckband. He looked at the tv which had a note on the screen. Walking over towards it Gumball started reading the letter.
"Gone to the market for eggs, bacon, bread and gum. Be back in a jiff. -Naruto" Gumball finished reading and smiled.
"Bacon and eggs? Yummy!." Gumball nearly shouted, so to pass the time Gumball turned the tv on and started watching his favourite show "Captain-punch: fighting crime" Gumball was laughing and cheering his favourite superhero on and Darwin came down stairs wearing his morning attire which were and orange shirt with dark green pants that reached above his knees and green dragon feet slippers.
"Morning Dude." Darwin greeted and walked back up stairs and grabbed the pull cord to the attic and opened it and a ladder folded out. Darwin peeked his head through the attic and saw Naruto's room was empty and wondered where he was.
Darwin closed the attic door and walked downstairs.
"Hey Gumball, where's Naruto?" Darwin asked Gumball who didn't bother looking at him but still answered.
"At the store, he's gone to get stuff for breakfast." Gumball said as his show ended. "Dagnabbit it's over." Gumball said angrily.
~With Naruto~
Naruto was riding his skateboard down a street called "Hudson valley". Naruto was listening to a song on his walkman. Naruto finally saw the store and smiled.
'Get the food and skate back home and cook breakfast.' Naruto thought while jumping off his skateboard wanting to walk the rest of the way.
"Naruto, what's up man." spoke a voice from behind Naruto. Even though Naruto was listening to music he could still hear a little voice from behind him.
"Huh?" Naruto said while removing the headphones from his ears and chose to rest them on his neck. When Naruto turned his head to see who was behind him.
What stood behind him was a boy that looked his age and was the same height as him. He had mid length auburn hair and fair skin. He had skinny limbs. His eyes were magenta and his right eye was covered by his hair exposing his left eye to the world. He was wearing a pair of red short shorts with two light orange stripes on the left side, an orange-sleeved yellow crop-top T-shirt, dark brown shoes with blue laces and a brown backpack.
"Hey uhh, what's your name again?" Naruto asked and the blue boy looked quite offended.
"Rob! My name is Rob!" the newly named Rob retorted annoyedly and Naruto had the decency to scratch the back of his head sheepishly.
"Sorry Rob. My name is Naruto W Uzumaki, nice to meetcha." Naruto introduced himself with a hand shake, Rob smiled and took the handshake.
"My name is Rob Redon." Rob introduced himself with a smile.
"Wanna come to the store?" Naruto asked and Rob nodded.
"Sure, there's something I need to buy anyway." Rob explained and they started walking.
"So Rob, what are you getting?" Naruto asked.
"Well there's two things, first I need to get some breakfast and second I'm getting a coffee to go with that breakfast." Rob said with his hands behind his head. "How about you?" Rob questioned and Naruto looked up with a raised eyebrow
"Eggs, bacon, bread and some gum." Naruto answered and Rob raised an eyebrow.
"Are you making breakfast or something?" Rob asked.
"Yeah, actually I am. I'm making breakfast and dinner for my Aunty, Uncle and cousins." Naruto explained and Rob looked confused.
"What about your Mom or Dad?" Rob asked Naruto who put on a fake smile.
"My Mom is sick and my Dad wanted me to not worry about her and just worry about school." Naruto lied.
"Oh ok." Rob said with understandment clear in his voice.
~Market~
Naruto and Rob arrived at the store and they decided to stick together. First they bought their individual items from the store and then walked to the cafe and bought a coffee…judging from the smell Naruto could say it smells delicious, so he decided to buy one. He got a vanilla latte and Rob got an ice-coffee.
"So Rob, what do you do at home?" Naruto asked and Rob thought about it.
"I just clean the house and hang around outside, but most of the time I'm at the Mall with my other friends." Rob exclaimed and Naruto nodded his head.
"Nice, nice. We should hang out sometime." Naruto suggested and Rob smiled.
"Sure, just let me give you my number." Rob said and Naruto pulled his phone out of his pocket.
Rob and Naruto exchanged numbers.
A/N: I couldn't be bothered writing a number, but let your imagination take flight.
"I go this way." Naruto said while pointing to the left.
"I go this way." Rob pointed to the right.
"I'll see you later Rob." Naruto said with a smile.
"Yeah, you too." Rob replied with a smile and they shook each other's hands and then they walked down their respective streets.
~With the Watterson~
Anais was the last to wake up out of her two brothers and she woke up with a yawn and a stretch.
"Hm, I can't smell breakfast. Naruto must of stayed at his friend's house or something?" Anais theorised and climbed down the ladder on hers and Gumball's bunk bed with Daisy and Kurama tucked away in her arm.
Walking down stairs Anais saw Gumball and Darwin switching through channel after channel, trying to find the right one.
"Where's Naruto?" Anais asked the boy's and Darwin decided to answer her.
"He said he went to the store to get stuff for breakfast." Darwin explained and as if on cue the front door opened and Naruto walked in with a brown paper bag.
"Hey guy's." Naruto spoke as Anais smiled from the stairs.
"Hey Naruto, how was it at your friend's house?" Anais asked and Naruto had to think about that one.
"Oh Penny's family was great." Naruto said and Gumball appeared in his face.
"Did she say anything about me?" Gumball asked while holding Naruto by his collar.
"Umm no." Naruto said confusedly and Gumball started grovelling on the ground.
"What's his problem?" Naruto asked Darwin to which Darwin sighs.
"He likes Penny." Darwin said with closed eyes while shaking his head.
"Ohhh, I didn't notice." Naruto said and Anais and Darwin face faulted.
"What do you mean you didn't notice!" Anais said astounded at Naruto's obliviousness.
"I mean exactly what I mean." Naruto said with a tilt of the head.
"Naruto , for someone as smart as you , you can be really oblivious to the world." Darwin explained with closed eyes.
"..." Darwin opened his eyes to see Naruto gone.
"Hey where did he go?!" Darwin asked Anais who looked around.
"I don't know." Anais said, looking around.
"Oh, I'm in the kitchen!" Naruto shouted from the kitchen, Anais and Darwin walked in the kitchen seeing Naruto already flooding the bacon over.
"Weren't you just with us?" Darwin asked astounded at how fast Naruto moved.
"Yeah, but I'm sure you guys are more interested in food than talking about how oblivious I can be sometimes." Naruto said while cracking an egg in the frying pan on the bottom right element.
"Yeah I guess you're right." Darwin said while taking a seat at the dinner.
"Naruto can I watch?" Anais asked with puppy dog eyes.
"You can lose the eyes." Naruto smiled and made Anais a seat out of four of his tails and used two tails to cook the bacon, Naruto gave the salt to Anais to add while he added pepper into the meal and made toast as well.
After he finished the breakfast he used five of his tails to grab plates and forks and knives. Naruto came out of the kitchen with the plates of food with his tails.
"Oi Darwin could you wake Aunty and Uncle up please." Naruto asked and Darwin nodded.
"Sure." Darwin while skipping towards his parent's bedroom and knocked on the door.
Knock knock…
"Mr Dad and Mrs Mom! Naruto made breakfast!" Darwin said loudly on the other side of the door, Darwin repeated this for a little and Gumball got fed up; he wanted his breakfast now! He walked to his parent's room and knocked quietly.
KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK!
"WAKE UP ALREADY, I'M HUNGRY!" Gumball shouted at the door and Nicole and Richard came out of the room.
"WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT INSIDE VOICES GUMBALL!" Nicole shouted in a distorted voice and a purple aura surrounding her body until she saw the food on the table and calmed down. "Oh there's breakfast, why didn't you say so." Nicole said with a smile and walked to the dinner table; Richard was there already.
Gumball got the full brunt of her wrath, it showed on his…face? His face looked like it was pulled back so far his Granny-Joe Joe would feel young.
Everyone finally sat at their respective seats.
"Wow Naruto, this is the best bacon I've ever had." Richard complimented.
"It's because the only other bacon you've eaten was the bacon you cooked yourself." Nicole taking a bite of her bacon; she's gotta admit, this bacon tastes good!
The family shared a laugh at her little jab at Richard's habit, when he doesn't try anyone else's bacon.
"So how was everyone's sleep?" Darwin said cheerfully and Gumball was first to answer.
"I had a dream that me and Penny were on vacation. She sat in my lap and I sat in a lounge chair and we just watched the sunset, when the sun was going to set the dream passed." Gumball explained, sad that his dream had to end so quickly. The family just looked at him strangely with raised eyebrows.
"O…k, how about we talk about something different. Darwin, how was your sleep?" Nicole asked and Darwin had a dumb looking expression.
"I can't remember." Darwin said cheerfully and Naruto and Richard laughed while the rest of them face faulted.
"Man, I still don't know what we're talking about!" Richard laughed and in turn Naruto laughed harder.
"Well my dream was about being on a beach getting a tan, but the wind kept on blowing me into the ocean." Nicole said angrily.
"Well in my dream I was dough, they were making pizza." Richard said while taking another bite of his bacon.
"Well I had a dream where Daisy meets Kurama. In my next dream I'll make both of them best friends forever." Anais said creepily and everyone had the same thought.
'Sometimes she gives me the creeps.' the family thought simultaneously.
"How about you Naruto?" Darwin asked and Naruto thought about it…until he remembered his dream.
~Naruto's dream~
Naruto could be seen running down a road…the same road as the house that took his disc.
Naruto was wearing a black shirt with a white long sleeve shirt underneath and black cargo pants and white and black sneakers. He had his hair tied into a ponytail and had two hoop earrings.
"HELP!" Naruto shouted but his pleas were not answered. Naruto was running from that house, the house opened up and tendrils of static came out and sprung forward for him but he was able to outrun them for a little until his leg was grabbed from under him and fell to the ground, doing so made his ponytail go undone.
"PLEASE, SOMEONE HELP ME!" Naruto screamed at the top of his lungs while being dragged. Naruto looked for something to latch onto in an effort to save him from his inevitable doom. When he almost lost hope he lowered his head and closed his eyes… until his hands grabbed a pole of a traffic light.
"HAHA, YES!" Naruto shouted and wrapped his tails around the pole in order to pull him back. "Come on there's gotta be someone out here." Naruto said frantically and saw a red van with its lights on. "HEY! OVER HERE!" Naruto tried to get the van's attention but the van didn't move one inch.
"COME ON!" Naruto shouted once more but only got indicator blinks from the car.
"What the fu…?" before Naruto could finish he lost his grip on the traffic light. "NO!" Naruto shouted as he was pulled into the portal leading to untold secrets.
~Naruto's Dream end~
While Naruto was remembering his dream he spaced out for a little and everyone was still waiting for an answer.
"Naruto." Nicole said worriedly, this snapped Naruto back to earth.
"Huh." Naruto said looking at Nicole.
"Are you ok?" Nicole asked while staring into Naruto's eyes for any sign of lies.
"Yeah, I'm fine." Naruto said slowly while Nicole and the rest looked worried but didn't go any further.
After breakfast Nicole walked into the kitchen and checked if they needed any groceries. Nicole found out they needed some food.
"I'm going grocery shopping." Nicole said while tying her shoe laces and grabbing her bag.
"I'll be back soon. Richard, you're in charge." Nicole said to Richard..
"Yes Ma'am." Richard saluted and Nicole left, when she left Richard let out a sigh of relief and sat on the couch.
"Hmm, I'm going to my room." Naruto said while walking upstairs without noticing Anais entangling herself to his tails.
'Sometimes I'm glad to be small.' thought Anais while Naruto opened the attic and climbed the ladder to enter his room.
Upon entering his room, Naruto decided to lay down on the floor.
Falling back on his back he heard "Ow!" someone grunted and Naruto smirked.
"If you want to sneak up here, don't sneak up using my tails." Naruto said as he found it amusing that Anais would have the audacity to come into his room without him knowing.
"Dammit, I thought you wouldn't know." Anais said, rubbing the bump on the back of her head. "And for one you are stupidly heavy." Anais said angrily and Naruto laughed while ruffling her hair.
"Kid what do you expect when you get the full brunt of my weight plus the weight of my tails." Naruto said jokingly and Anais huffed while crossing her arms.
"Why did you come up here again?" Naruto asked Anais who laughed nervously.
"I was gonna try and scare you, that's all." Anais said and Naruto smiled.
"Go down stairs. I'm going for a nap." Naruto said and Anais nodded and climbed down the ladder back down stairs.
~Downstairs~
Gumball and Darwin were watching TV while Richard was sleeping and mumbling in his sleep.
"Ugk there's nothing exciting to do, even TV is crummy." Gumball said grumpily.
Gumball was sprawled out on the couch with Darwin hanging upside down.
"Yeah…" Darwin said lazily while drooling a little seeing a double layer cake on TV. "Do you think Naruto would cook a cake?" Darwin asked and Gumball didn't even bother to look at him.
"Asked him." Gumball suggested.
"He's sleeping." spoke a voice seemingly coming from everywhere in the house.
"Oh, nevermind Darwin. This voice in my head said he's sleeping." Gumball said lazily.
"Ngaww." Darwin whined.
"Hello, I'm not a voice in your head, I'm right here." the voice said from in front of Gumball.
"Oh, hey Sis. Where did you come from?" Naruto asked and Anais grunted while pinching the bridge of her nose.
"Sometimes I wonder how you two are my brothers." Anais wondered annoyedly.
"Don't go into his mouth Princess muffin, go into mine." Richard was…sleep talking?
"Is he talking to us?" Gumball whispered and Anais looked at him as if he grew a second head.
"Obviously he's talking to us." Anais said sarcastically.
"Oh, ok." Gumball said while he and Darwin continued flipping through channels.
"Ugk, I was being sarcastic." Anais grunted out.
"Oh." Darwin exclaimed surprised then Gumball came up with an amazing idea.
"Hehe, hey Dude, watch this." Gumball intrigued Darwin and Anais surprisingly. "Hey Dad, Princess muffin is rubbing your face. Take a bite." Gumball said while he appeared in front of Richard with a toilet paper roll. Richard took a bite of the toilet paper roll and Darwin laughed quietly along with Anais.
"Mmm, you taste like toilet paper." Richard said happily and took another bite, hearing this the three children shared the same thought.
'How does he know what…you know what, I won't be surprised if he's drunken his own bath water.' The three thought not knowing he knew what bath water tastes like.
"It's the internet's fault!" Richard said in his sleep, this got the kids attention and they looked at eachother and grinned.
Oh this will be fun…
The three giggled into their hands and Gumball took the initiative and asked Richard more questions..
"Hehehe, shh shh, what did the internet do Dad?" asked Gumball, waiting for the ridiculous answer.
"I clicked a link and it sent me to space. I-I can't breathe in space! And when I scream it makes no sound, like this Ahh ugk hhaa!" Richard gargled, imitating a man in space with no helmet.
"Hahahaha!" the three kids laughed and right then and there Nicole walked back in the front door with a brown bag of groceries.
"Stop laughing at your Father and help me put away the groceries." Nicole said while walking into the kitchen.
The three kids appeared in front of the grocery bags and picked out one individual items. Gumball picking cereal, Anais picking bagels and Darwin picking orange juice ironically.
"Dude, there's something wrong with this cereal." Gumball inquired confusedly.
"What's up with it?" Darwin asked confused; it's just a box of cereal?
"It looks delicious!" Gumball said crying tears, he wasn't the only one having problems with their food.
"This bagel is like three times the size of our burger buns." Anais said while matching the size of the burger buns compared to the bagel. "Wait a minute." Anais said with a raised eyebrow. On the left Darwin was praising a carton of orange juice.
"And this orange juice has real oranges in it, instead of letters and numbers" Darwin hugged the carton to his chest. Realising her mistake Nicole sighed and rubbed his temples.
"Oh, I must've grabbed another person's groceries by mistake." Nicole summarised, and Anais had a question that was plaguing her mind.
"How come we can't get this good stuff all the time?" Anais said while copying Naruto's tilt of the head and one of her ears drooped.
"Look, we'd be able to get the good stuff if it wasn't fo-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-r…" Nicole disappeared leaving the kids confused.
"What was that all about?" Darwin asked while still hugging the carton.
"I don't know." Gumball said while getting ready to pack the new groceries away.
"Ok so flour goes in the pantry." Anais ordered Gumball and Darwin who followed her orders without question.
"Yes Ma'am!" Both boy's said in unison while Darwin grabbed the flour and Gumball got on one knee with Darwin sprinting and jumping on Gumball's back who grunted a bit but fully stood up with Darwin standing on his shoulders.
"There we go." Darwin said while placing the flour on the top shelf of the pantry.
"Darwin, can you get off now?!" Gumball said while struggling to hold Darwin's weight.
"Oh, sorry Buddy." Darwin said sheepishly, jumping off Gumball's shoulders Darwin and Gumball stood in front of Anais waiting for further orders.
'Oh, I love being the leader for once.' Anais said cheerfully in her head. "Ok, pour the sugar in that container!" Anais pointed at the container that was on the first shelf in the first cabinet next to the pantry.
~Naruto's room~
Naruto was oblivious to Anais, Gumball and Darwin packing the groceries away, he was too busy laying on his bed with his hands interlocked while thinking about his dream.
'Why didn't that van help me?' Naruto thought angrily; I mean he thought he was gonna die! 'Why was it just blinking?' Naruto thought confusedly.
"Ugh, there's no use stressing it." Naruto said out loud and tried to go for a nap.
~Downstairs~
Gumball, Darwin and Anais finished packing the groceries away; well Anais didn't really help, but they still got the work done. The three kids walked into the living room with Gumball taking the lead.
"Hmm, you know, that food stuff has got me thinking. What else is cheap in this house?!" Gumball said out loud, he then picked up a mp3 player. "This is what I'm talking about, look at this mp3 player, now tell me it doesn't look like a calculator with headphones stuck in it." Gumball emphasised by typing "1+2=3". Then he picked up a movie disc container.
"And this DVD isn't even the real film, it's some mockbuster from the bargain bin." Gumball said while holding the DVD for people to view. Richard got a little offended.
"What's wrong with "How to ratatwang your panda"?" Richard asked with his hands on his hips.
~Tv~
The Panda was fighting over a dozen mice.
"Get ready Panda." said one of the mice that was holding a spoon.
"Use your secret weapon." said another mouse and the Panda grinned mischievously.
"Ok, you asked for it." the Panda warned and the mice got ready, but wasn't prepared for the Panda to turn around and release a swarm of scorching hot gas into the mice's nostrils.
"Oh boy!" the mice crew shouted as their skin turned green, matching the colour of the gas.
~Back to normal world~
Richard was laughing so hard that tears started to form in the corner of his eyes until he calmed down, but was still giggling. "Ha clever." Richard complimented Panda in the movie while wiping a tear from his eye.
Gumball, Darwin and Anais then walked over to the dinner area over to the window leading into the kitchen. There was fruit and a blender? Or just a fan facing down with a green bowl underneath.
"This is what I'm talking about. Take a look at this blender, you call this top of the line." Gumball said while turning on the "blender" and throwing a tray orange in the blender. The orange landed in the "blender" but instead of going in the bowl it turned into juice and splattered on the ceiling. "Why can't we have the good stuff?!" Gumball said agitated, Anais got into a thinking position.
"Hmm the question is what is she hiding?" Anais said, entering her detective mode. Suddenly the home phone rang, Anais happened to be next to it.
"Hello?" Anais greeted as she answered the phone, a deep creepy voice greeted back.
"For your own safety, stop investigating, there's nothing to find!" the voice said menacingly. Anais wasn't one to give up in her investigation so she pressed forward.
"Ok, but if we were to start digging, where should we look?" Anais asked cleverly.
"Definitely not in the attic – oh wait, ugk darn it!" The phone call ended there and Anais smirked and chuckled.
"Ok to the attic!" Anais said, pumping her fist in the air.
"First let's get changed out of our pj's first." Gumball offered and before Anais could add her to sense the two boys were gone.
"Ugh!" Anais stomped up to her shared room with Gumball and Darwin. After the kids got changed, they walked to the attic door and Gumball was about to pull the cord that opens the door but Anais stopped him.
"What are you doing?" Anais asked in a whisper and Gumball and Darwin quirked an eyebrow.
"Ahhh, how else are we gonna get into the attic?" Gumball asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Naruto is sleeping!" Anais whispered angrily.
"So?" Gumball still didn't get why she was being stubborn about this.
"He loves his sleep, if you wake him then he'll be angry!" Anais explained, then suddenly the bathroom door opened.
"You know, if you're trying to sneak up there, make sure no one is in the bathroom." Naruto said, smirking. Seeing that they'll have been caught they lowered their heads with a dark cloud over their heads. "If you want to head up to the attic then go, just don't snoop through my stuff, capeesh?" Naruto said, looking at all of them. They nodded to his rule and he opened the attic door.
~Flashback~
"Hey Dad, can I stay in the attic?" a young Naruto said while holding Kurama to his chest.
"Hmmmm, I don't see why not." Naruto's father said with a smile on his handsome face.
Naruto's father was 6'1 in height and had an athletic build. He had spiky blonde hair that reached past his neck and had two bangs hanging loosely on the sides of his head, his eyes were a beautiful azure blue. He had two fox ears on his head with nine blond tails with white tips attached to his tailbone. He was wearing a navy blue t-shirt with grey pants. This attractive man was Minato Namikaze.
"But some of my stuff is up there. If you want to live in the attic then you can go, just don't snoop through my stuff, capeesh?" Minato said with a grin and Naruto gave him a thumbs up along with a foxy grin.
~Flashback end~
Naruto sighed at that memory, he heard Anais trying to get his attention.
"Naruto!" Anais said again and Naruto finally snapped out of it.
"Huh?" Naruto said to Anais who puffed out her cheeks with a vein appearing on her head.
"Can you help me up, those two bozos left me." Anais said downcasted from needing help to climb some stairs.
"Oh sure." Naruto said happily while picking Anais up with one of his tails and using two more tails as hooks and hooked them to the doorway of the attic and began to rise through the doorway in the attic.
"That was new." Anais said while she was placed down on the carpet that was newly added into Naruto's room.
"Yeah, I've been practising stuff with my tails." Naruto said cheerfully while taking a seat on his bed. Anais, Gumball and Darwin decided to look for clues to their family financial situation.
"Hmmm, where is everything Naruto?" Darwin asked, confused as he and his siblings looked around at the supposed empty room.
"In that corner over there." Naruto said while directing the group to the left side of the room.
"Ok, thanks." Gumball said with a thumbs up. They three walked over to the corner of the attic and saw boxes stacked on top of boxes. "Hmmm, where should we start?" Gumball asked and Anais saw a rather white box with a light grey lid.
"How about that box?" Anais asked while picking up the box, recognising the box, Gumball got scared.
"NO, DON'T!" Gumball shouted and reached for the box but Anais pushed him away effortlessly, to keep him away from the box. Darwin decided to open the box and found photos, Darwin gasped.
"Dude-e-e-e-e-e-e, you were an ugly baby!" Darwin announced and he and Anais bursted out laughing, Naruto chuckled at this. Gumball had his eyes squinted and a grin appeared on his face.
"Hmpt, I don't know what you're laughing about!" Gumball said while pulling out a photo of Darwin; whose face looks worse than Gumball. Darwin screamed and pulled the same face as in the picture and ran after Gumball and tackled him over.
"Gimme that!" Darwin said angrily while he straddled Gumball who was holding him at bay by pushing his face up.
"No!" Gumball shouted, while this happened Gumball pushed the mirror turning it so the sunlight came through the window bouncing off the mirror then hitting a snow globe then ending on a loose looking brick in the chimney. Anais smirked and was about to voice her idea when Naruto stopped her.
"Anais, I know what you're thinking and it's a bad idea." Naruto said while throwing a ball up and down on his bed.
"But it could be a clue." Anais interjected, but Naruto sat fully up with a serious face.
"And if it's not?" Naruto countered and Anais put her head down. Anais was angry, she could've found out why she can't get good stuff, she stomped her foot in frustration, the floorboard she stomped opened up and whacked her right in the face.
"Oooo!" Naruto said while squinting his eyes, along with Gumball and Darwin.
"Hm what are these?" Gumball wondered while picking up a few pieces of paper from under the now broken floor board. "Anais, Anais?, Anais!" Gumball repeated, waiting for her to wake up. "Anais!" Gumball repeated again and Anais started waking up.
"Anais look what we found under the floorboards." Darwin told Anais and showed her.
"I'm still the one who found it." Anais said but Naruto interjected.
"Actually I found those when I first came here." Naruto explained and the group of three faces faulted.
"Why, didn't you say anything sooner?!" Anais asked angrily, she had a swollen face, her right eye was completely closed.
"Well, you didn't ask." Naruto smirked. "But you might wanna get that looked at." Naruto advised Anais.
"Eh, I'll survive." Anais said, kinda muffled due to her swollen face. "So, what did I find? Oh they're bank statements." Anais said in a muffled voice, Gumball and Darwin looked confused.
"No, they're bank statements?" Gumball questioned and Anais groaned.
"Look here, back then we had loads of money? Then it all went… in one big payment, too stellar corporation?" Gumball explained.
"What did Mrs Mom spend all that money on?" Darwin asked and Anais picked up a gold key.
"I don't know, but I bet this key has something to do with it." Anais said, flipping the key over for more clues. When Gumball saw the key his eyes widened.
"Wait, I've seen that key before." Gumball said, gaining surprised looks from everyone. "A long time ago." Gumball said while getting into a thinking position.
"Ok, I bet this is fun but could you shoo, I got some stuff to do." Naruto explained and everyone nodded and they climbed down the ladder one by one, for Anais, Naruto wrapped a tail around her waist and lowered her down through the attic doorway.
When they left Naruto walked over to the attic window and closed the blind shut, he walked to his desk and turned his lamp on. He grabbed his art book and some crayons and started drawing.
"Oh, I can't forget to add music." Naruto said while grabbing his walkman and his headphones and played one of his favourite songs.
~Gumball, Darwin and Anais's room~
Gumball was sitting on his bed while Darwin was having his hands in front of Gumball's face, his eyes also had a ripple pattern.
"Ready?" Darwin warned, but Gumball had a smile full of confidence.
"Ok." Gumball said, still smiling.
"1, 2, 3, sleep!" Darwin said and on que Gumball fell into a deep hypnosis sleep, even snoring. "Now, I'm gonna take you back. Back to the last time you saw that key." Darwin commanded and Gumball had a quick flashback.
"I see." Gumball said giving the two kids hope. "I'm in the attic, there's bank statements all over the floor." Gumball said not knowing they just did that.
"That was just now!" Anais said irritated and Darwin got back into the hypnosis position.
"Go further back!" Darwin ordered Gumball to do so.
"Now I'm a baby! I'm with Mom, she – she's locking a suitcase." Gumball explained.
"You must never tell anyone you saw this!" a younger Nicole said while holding the gold key to baby Gumball's face.
"It's the key!" Gumball said while grabbing where he thought the key was.
"So the key goes to whatever's in the case." Anais said in a thinking position.
"AH, I'm going back!… to previous lives!" Gumball explained and started seeing glimpses of his past lives. "I'm a farmer, that's boring. I'm a baker, that's really boring. Librarian, boring…" Gumball started going on about his past lives being boring until he found one he liked.
"Wait, wait, wait. Prospector?" Gumball said excitedly while seeing himself holding a gold rock. "Hey, that's pretty good. And I just found the gold– wait a minute…I'm not the prospector, I'm the mule!" Gumball said disappointedly and released a roar or screech?
"Gumball! stop! wake up!" Darwin shouted, worried for his buddy.
"Now I'm a hypnotist." Gumball said plainly. "Look into my eyes!" Gumball said while opening his eyes revealing pure white eyeballs with a black ripple pattern. Darwin got drowsy looking at his eyes.
Suddenly a magnet came from the window to their room with a rope attached to it. The magnet made contact with the key that was sitting on the desk where their computer was located. Anais saw this happening and ran to the window grabbing onto the magnet.
"Gumball! Darwin! Help!" Anais shouted, trying to pry the key from the magnet. The boy's weren't paying her any mind.
"Now you're allergic to cheese! CHEESE!" Gumball hypnotised Darwin who sneezed.
"Now your body is heavier than stone!" Darwin hypnotised Gumball who fell through the floor. Anais was finally able to pry the key from the magnet.
"Hey get back here!" Anais shouted from outside the window, she heard lumping up on the roof.
"Now you speak fluent French!" Gumball said and Darwin started speaking French until Anais splashed them both with Darwin's fish tank water.
"HEY!" they both shouted in unison.
"Someone just tried to steal the key, now we have to get to that suitcase as quickly as possible!" Anais explained but Gumball and Darwin looked so tired bags started growing under their eyes.
"Can't we just go to bed?" Gumball said sleepily before getting splashed by Darwin's water again. "Fine." Gumball might as well get this over with.
~Naruto's room~
Naruto was listening to music and drawing a vehicle of some sort. Naruto was bobbing his head to the beat of the music.
"I wanna make up right now, now, now." Naruto sang along to the music.
"It had some white stuff on the passenger door." Naruto added more detail and began to sweat under the pressure his hand was going through. Under an hour Naruto completed his drawing, it was a red van?
"This has to mean something?" Naruto said while staring intensely at the van. Time passed and he was still looking at the van.
"Ugk, there's no use dwelling on it." Naruto said while walking to the latch that leads downstairs and he exited the room the same way he first entered.
Naruto sighed. "Maybe a snack will help me focus." Naruto suggested while closing the attic door. He walked into the kitchen and looked in the cupboard for something that piqued his interests, he found a granola bar.
"I mean, it's not the best. But I'll manage." Naruto said while taking a seat on the dinner table. Opening the granola bar, Naruto took a bite and grimaced at the sour taste. 'This shit is horrible.' Naruto said while taking another bite. "It's better than nothing." Naruto said while chewing the bar, Naruto was enjoying the bar until he saw Gumball walk down stairs in his pj's.
"Yo!" Naruto greeted and Gumball looked in his direction and put a finger to his lips.
"Shhhh." Gumball wasn't gonna get in trouble from his Mom. Naruto just shrugged his shoulders and began to rise from his seat. He walked past Gumball giving him a pat on the shoulder and walked to his room. Naruto could hear chatting inside Gumball's room.
When Naruto opened the door he saw Anais and Darwin talking about an escape plan.
"What are you guys doing?" Naruto asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Ahhhh…" Darwin didn't know what to say.
"Um, where pulling a prank on Gumball." Anais said nervously, she was sweating.
'She's sweating? She's hiding something." Naruto theorised while Anais saw his sceptical stare.
"Ok, then. I'm gonna go to sleep." Naruto said and closed the door. Naruto walked past Gumball. "Night Gumball." Naruto said and Gumball smiled at him.
"Night." Gumball responded while opening the door to his room. "Hey, I'm back." Gumball told the duo.
"Sweet, what did you find?" Anais asked and was given a piece of paper and a shovel. "And thus what was inside? An address and a bunch of doodles?" Anais asked and Gumball nodded.
"Yeah, well and the shovel." Gumball explained, Darwin was holding the shovel unimpressed.
"Wow, who would've thought Mrs Mom spent all the money on a rusty old shovel." Darwin said while looking at the shovel disappointedly. "Oh well, case closed. Bed time!" Darwin said happily while throwing the shovel to the ground and jumping on the nightstand and transforming into his fish-form.
"Darwin, can't you see. This is another clue." Anais wanted to push forward with the adventure. Darwin was getting fed up.
"Ahh! I'm so sick of all these clues." Darwin shouted in his fish tank, but Anais saw reason in the search.
"Whatever she bought is stashed away somewhere at this address. It must be extremely precious, like alien artefacts, missile launch codes, and philosopher's stone. Or something even bigger!" Anais was exaggerating at this point.
"Oh come on, if it was something that big, Mom would've stopped us by now. The woman is vertically a ninja." Gumball said tiredly.
"But that's exactly it, it isn't her who's tryna stop us. Those footsteps on the roof were too heavy." Anais explained while pacing back and forth in their room. "This goes much deeper than I thought and the answer lies at this address. So what do you say, are you with me or not?" Anais asked confidently, thinking she intrigued them, but all that hope was snuffed out by Gumball.
"Not." Gumball said while tucked in bed, with Darwin filling up his whole fish tank in his fish form, Gumball pulled a cord that was surgically connected to the light in their room.
The room went dark…
~Scene break~
Naruto was laying on his bed whistling to an old song until his phone started ringing. He grabbed his phone from his bedside table and saw the phone number was Rob's.
"Hey Rob, what's up?" Naruto asked and he heard Rob sigh.
"Hey man, I'm doing nothing right now. Just chilling in bed. How about you?" Rob asked over the phone.
"Oh, just in bed right now, I could hear Darwin, Gumball and Anais talking about alien artefacts, stones and what not." Naruto explained and Rob chuckled over the phone.
"Hey, do you wanna hang out tomorrow?" Rob asked over the phone. Naruto thought about it.
"Umm, we can hang out after my shift tomorrow, if you want?" Naruto suggested.
"Sure, when does your shift start and end?… oh and where is your shift?" Rob asked.
"Well my shift starts at 6:00 and ends at 12:00, oh and I work at the mall." Naruto explained and Rob whistled over the phone.
"Damn, you have a 6 hour job? Aren't you only 13?" Rob asked and Naruto chuckled.
"Yup, but I just wanted to help out. Larry has like 40 jobs and doesn't get any credit for it." Naruto told Rob who smiled.
"Hmm, you're a good dude." Rob complimented. Naruto and Rob talked for a few minutes.
"Ok Rob, I have to wake up early for the morning, y'know." Naruto explained and heard a knock on his door. "And someone needs my help." Naruto explained.
"Ok, I'll see you tomorrow right?" Rob asked and Naruto chuckled.
"Course." Naruto replied with a grin.
"Good night man." Rob said with a smile.
"See ya later." Naruto hung up the phone and walked over to the door and opened it while holding the ladder, so it didn't hit anyone. He saw Richard on the other side.
"Uncle Richard, what are you doing here?" Naruto asked with a raised eyebrow.
"I need your help." Richard said with desperation clear in his voice, at this Naruto got serious and jumped out of the attic with the help of his tails.
"What's the problem?" Naruto asked seriously and Richard told him everything about the bank statements, the stellar corporation, all of it.
"So in my shame, I buried the evidence." Richard finished explaining and Naruto clapped.
"That was a very well choreographed story, well done." Naruto praised Richard. "So you need my help so Gumball, Darwin and Anais won't find the box?" Naruto asked and Richard nodded.
"Yes, do you think you could do it?" Richard asked and Naruto thought about it.
"Anais might be a problem but Gumball and Darwin will be easy fries. Let me get changed into some action clothes.
"Sure, I'll meet you in the car by Mr Robinson's house. When I see you I'll turn my traffic lights on." Richard ran outside and ran to the car but stopped to catch his breath, saying incoherent words about the car being too far when it was right in front of him.
Naruto used his tails to get back into the attic and changed into loose-fitting robes with wide, elbow-length sleeves; there is a spiral pattern on the hood. He wears pants fitted below the knees and has wraps around his feet exposing his toes. He wore sandals. He had a kitsune mask on the side of his head, he also commanded his tails to retract back into his tailbone along with his ears.
A/N: He shouldn't be able to do that but if Darwin can transform into a fish then Naruto can make his tails go away. But only for a short period of time.
Naruto ran out of the house and looked around for Richard. Richard saw Naruto so he turned his traffic lights on and signalled to Naruto where his location was.
Naruto sprinted towards the car and dived into the open window.
"Ok, let's go." Naruto said and Richard powered the car on and drove to the location at top speed.
"I like the outfit, really mysterious." Richard commented with a grin. "Where are your tails?" Richard asked since he didn't see them.
"Let's just say they're sleeping." Naruto told Richard.
"Ok doke." Richard said cheerfully and the rest of the drive was silent.
~Anais, Gumball and Darwin~
"That's it." Gumball said angrily. "An empty mailbox? All of this was a wild goose chase, sending us TO THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE AT 3:00 AM! IN THE POURING RAIN! AND WHAT'S THIS STUPID SHOVEL FOR?!" Gumball yelled and Darwin wasn't faring any better.
"I'll show you what it's for!" Darwin said menacingly while holding the shovel. He began destroying the mailbox with the shovel ranting about how much stuff he missed out on because of the treasure hunt.
"And this!" Gumball yelled while holding the piece of paper with the doodles on it. Thunder struck near them and the flash of light caused the doodles to be seen on the other side.
"Is for giving us pointless clues, like the fucking bunch of doodles!" Gumball yelled while trying to tear the paper in half.
"Wait!" Anais screamed and took the piece of paper away from Gumball's grasp. "That's not a doodle? It's a map!" Anais announced while turning the map over. "That's the mailbox, there's the creepy windmill, that must be the forest." Anais summarised, she was so hooked into this that she didn't notice a shadow moving past them.
"Ok cool, but we need to go now." Gumball said with a nervous smile and a sweat drop.
"Hold on, I need to figure out where we're going." Anais told Gumball, he turned her head to face the problem. She saw torch lights indicating someone was following them.
"No, we have to go…right now." Gumball replied and the trio started sprinting to the location of the treasure.
"They found us!" Anais yelled.
"We have to get to the treasure before they get to us!" Darwin shouted, he and Anais were pushing branches out of the way but doing so made the branches his gumball in the face.
"I think it's my turn to go in the front ok!" Gumball argued and ran to the front of the line but didn't see the tree he ran face first into. "Found the forest." Gumball grumbled out.
"Ok, all we need to find is a twisted tree in a clearing." Anais exclaimed and Darwin looked back and saw the intruders still approaching them.
"Aah! They're still coming!" Darwin exclaimed. The trio resumed running and saw a log bridge. Anais ran across it first then Gumball and Darwin started having second thoughts.
"Are you sure about this?" Gumball asked Anais on the other side of the log. "It looks kinda dangerous!" Gumball continued.
"It's ok, just don't look down." Anais reassured them, but they didn't listen and looked down.
"AHHHH!" they both screamed.
"Why did you make us do that?!" Gumball screamed at Anais.
"I didn't, I said don't look down." Anais reminded them, and they looked down again.
"AHHH! You did it again!" they both shouted, Anais just sweat dropped and shook her head.
"Oh come on, this thing has been here forever, it's totally safe." Anais said with confidence, so confident she decided to hit the log a few times, and hey it started to tip over.
"RUN!" Anais screamed and Gumball and Darwin did so, they ran as fast as their legs could take them but there was no more room to run.
"JUMP!" Anais shouted again.
The boy jumped and Gumball was able to grab onto the ledge but Darwin wasn't so lucky. Darwin grabbed the only thing he could grab.
Gumball grabbed the ledge and felt some relief but that relief died when he felt his tail being grabbed. Due to his tail being grabbed, Gumball's face looked as if his face was pulled from the inside.
"Take my hand!" Anais called out to Gumball and outstretched her hand. Gumball was grabbing everything but her hand.
'Oh come on!' Anais cursed in her mind while reaching down and grabbing Gumball's face and pulling him up, doing so stretched his face apart.
"This treasure better be worth it!" Gumball said angrily while he was nursing his sore cheeks.
Anais was breathing fast, she glanced at the map again and saw the twisted tree.
"There it is!" Anais announced while pointing at the tree. They began running towards it but a figure clad in black stopped them.
"You shall go no further." the figure said in a monotone, the trio looked shocked.
"What the what?" Gumball said in confusion.
"Come on guys, it's three of us and one of him. We can take him!" Anais said confidently, the trio nodded together with looks of determination plastered to their faces.
Then ran at the figure and the figure ran at them. Anais threw the first hit which the figure dodged effortlessly and performed a leg sweep, Anais saw the sweep and jumped to avoid it but wasn't prepared for a knee that hit her in the chest and fell to the ground.
"Aah!" Anais grunted and she looked at the figure. Gumball and Darwin both let out a cry of anger and ran towards the figure at impressive speed.
'How'd they get faster?' the figure thought while dodging a hit from Gumball and kneed Darwin in the stomach, he didn't want to hurt them badly so he hit them lightly; but it seems lightly is too rough.
"Ouch!" Darwin nursed his stomach, Naruto sensed a presence behind him and evaded their attack, which was in the form of a shovel to the back of the head.
"Smart." Naruto complimented, he threw a kick towards Gumball's back, effectively knocking him back to his starting point., and had to do a backflip to avoid Anais's assault and grabbed her by her shoulders and threw her towards Darwin.
"Damn, he's good!" Anais said after bumping into Darwin. Gumball and Darwin gave her dirty looks.
"Nah ya think?" Gumball retorted sarcastically. "Now I wish I didn't throw the helmet away." Gumball said dejectedly.
"Yeah why did you throw it away?!" Darwin asked angrily while getting into a stance.
"What are you talking about?! You're the one that threw it away!" Gumball yelled angrily.
"That's it!" Anais suddenly announced.
"What's what?" Gumball asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Let's charge at him one more time. I've got a plan." Anais said while smirking.
The trio charged for Naruto one more time but this time Anais started rubbing her hands together at a fast rate.
'Is this girl tryna create friction?' Naruto thought while sprinting towards the trio. Anais started rubbing her hands harder and fast, soon enough electricity started appearing. Naruto smirked under his mask, he threw a punch at Anais who stopped and the hit landed.

Nothing happened at first, Naruto was blasted back with electricity coursing through his body, he hit the tree and fell to the ground and wasn't moving.
"Congrats." Naruto said while his face was in the mud behind a mask thankfully.
"Let's GO!" Anais yelled and Darwin picked the shovel and started digging at a fast rate. He dug far until he hit a box.
"That must be it!" Anais said excitedly. But out of nowhere and light shined in their face, blocking the face of the intruder.
"Stop digging!" he said menacingly.
"Dad?" Gumball asked as he saw the silhouette similar to his father.
"No!" the figure said but then put the torch down, revealing Richard Watterson. "Yeah, it's me." Richard said downcasted, right then and there Darwin came back out from the hole he dug with a box in hand.
"I've got it!" Darwin said happily while holding the box.
"No please! Don't open the box. I'll give you anything you want!" Richard wailed.
"We want whatever's in the box." Anais said and started opening the box with stars in the trio's eyes.
"No-o-o-o-o-o!" Richard shouted.
"Oh, man, it's another piece of paper!" Darwin shouted with the rest looking pissed.
"It's not just a piece of paper. It's the reason we can't get what we want." Richard said sadly.
"Will someone please tell me what's going on?!" Gumball asked.
Richard started explaining how he came in contact with the stellar corporation.
"Huh, well that was a really well choreographed story, well done." Gumball complimented. "But what did you buy?!" Gumball yelled.
"I'll tell you exactly what you bought." Anais said. "He bought…" Anais didn't get to finish because Nicole, who came out of nowhere interrupted her.
"A star." Nicole said blankly, at this Anais started throwing a tantrum.
"NO! You stole my thunder!" Anais said angrily to Nicole.
"You knew? But how?" Richard asked with teary eyes.
"You talk in your sleep." Nicole replied plainly.
"And you don't hate me?" Richard asked.
"Of course not, it wasn't your fault. It was the internet." Nicole exclaimed while hugging Richard.
"Oh Mr Dad, who is the guy?" Darwin asked while pointing at the figure clad in black who was hugging from a tree while upside down.
"Oh, you can take your mask off now." Richard said and the figure took his mask off while flipping off from the tree branch and landing on his feet.
"Man, you guys were tough." Naruto said while pulling his mask off along with his hood. His tails and ears started to grow back.
"Naruto?" asked the group except Richard who was smiling.
"Yo." Naruto said lazily with a lazy tail-wave.
"That was you?" Anais asked, astonished.
"Yup, you did good with the friction thing, Gumball and Darwin had nice teamwork." Naruto complimented.
"Hm I thought your fighting style looked familiar." Nicole said to Naruto who smiled.
"Yeah, Mom taught me to fight with my hands and legs and my Dad taught me to fight with my tails." Naruto explained.
"You know I think it's cool that we have our own star." Gumball said while everyone was pulled into a hug.
"Yeah, which is it?" Nicole asked and Richard pointed towards a big shining star.
"There." Richard said.
"Hey Naruto, get over here." Gumball said while waving his arm signalling him to join the hug. Naruto looked uncertain.
"Uh, I don't want to intru…" before he could finish Naruto was pulled into the group hug; courtesy of Anais. "O…k." Naruto said.
"Hm, you can say the star is a symbol of your family's love." Naruto said while smiling, he was in the middle of the family.
"What do you mean, you're part of our family now." Richard said happily with the rest of the family nodding.
"No, it's fine. You've helped me enough." Naruto said but the family just hugged tighter. "Ok! I don't mind being part of your family." Naruto wheezed out and the Wattersons loosened their grip on Naruto and he wrapped his tails around the family pulling them closer.
"So can we go home now?" Richard asked, the family shared a laugh.
"Yeah because I need to head to work in 3 hours." Naruto said while groaning in annoyance.
"Oh, I'll take you to work if you want." Nicole offered with a smile.
"I'd like that." Naruto said with a grin.

WHOOO 10,025 words this chapter, damn that's the most words I've ever written.
How was the chapter? Sorry I haven't really been posting as often, I got alot on my plate.
