Hi guys Azza here!
Ok so first off just a thing, I am aware what the Dinosaur Devil Fruits are called in the actual series and I'm not going to be calling them that because its dumb. In this they will be entirely separate Zoan Fruit Types. Just saying this now because I know someone is gonna point it out.
Ok that aside though onto the reviews.
Anonymous Reader – You do run into a lot of it around the various fics both on this site and others and like I said I'll definitely give it a shot just got to make sure I do it well, you know. Like I said I only have two actual lemon scenes to my name so branching out will happen just need to make sure I don't make it cringy or unbelievable because that would ruin it.
Anyway on with the story!
I do not own Fairy Tail, One Piece or the Nasuverse.
Natsu Versus The Yellow Glimmer
/Grove 24/
"It seems everyone is in a panic."
"Could the rumours really be true?"
"What do you think, Captain Hawkins?"
Said Captain didn't even deign to respond, his eyes planted firmly on the cards carefully placed out before him much to the annoyance of his subordinates.
"The card of Fire, an omen of unwavering destruction," the man muttered as he placed the card on a small piece of straw protruding from the ground. "The card of Duality, a sign of balanced fortune …"
"Captain," one of the man's crew piped up. "How can both of those cards be drawn at once?"
"I believe we need only recall the explosion near Grove One to understand the answer to such a question," the man replied monotonously before drawing another card. "The card of the Grim Reaper, an omen of Death."
"D-d-death!?"
"Not necessarily our own," Hawkins said sharply as he drew yet another card. "The card of Umi, a vast ocean separating souls from reuniting. Such unique fortunes all within the same hand …"
"Oi?"
The gathered crew members all froze as a well-known man simply popped into existence right before their very eyes. The man simply smiled as he scratched the side of his face, giving him a rather laid-back expression.
"C-Captain, its Kizaru!"
"Do you have a moment," Kizaru asked calmly as all the Pirates took a cautionary step back. "I'd like to ask you a few things?"
If Hawkins had heard Kizaru he certainly didn't respond as he continued to simply place cards upon bits of straw prompting the Admiral to continue to speak.
"I'm looking for a few people, maybe you've heard of them? First one is a man named Sentomaru, he's a subordinate of mine you see and should be somewhere on the Archipelago? What about a man going by the name Saber? How about someone named Thaddeus Ryker?"
Question after question went ignored by Hawkins as Kizaru again scratched his cheek in slight confusion.
"Oi, can you hear me?"
"I do not know anyone by any of those names save for Saber, however Saber is a Servant Class therefore I know several in that case."
"I see," Kizaru sighed as he shook his head.
"Captain Hawkins, you've gotta run!"
"Get out of there Captain, he'll kill you for sure!"
"Battle, probability of success sits at zero percent. Chance of escape sits at twelve percent; probability of evasion sits at seventy six percent chance."
"Those are some really interesting statistics," Kizaru noted as his figure suddenly seemed to tower over the Captain. "Since you clearly don't seem to know where any of my subordinates are I've got nothing better to do. Unfortunately, this means that I can't just let a Pirate with a Bounty as high as yours go free … Basil Hawkins."
"I see."
"Let me ask you a question," Kizaru said as everyone tensed in preparation for the coming battle. "Have you ever heard the phrase 'Speed Is Weight' before?"
"I have."
"Then let me ask you this," Kizaru said as everything around the man froze on the spot, his leg now glowing a bright yellow colour. "Have you ever experienced a kick performed at the speed of light before?"
Raising his right leg, the Admiral easily brought it up to sit next to the Captain's face. None could even so much as comprehend his movement as the kick struck the man in the side of the head.
In the time it took for everyone to blink, Hawkins had simply vanished as several buildings suddenly collapsed in on themselves from rather sizeable holes in them.
"CAPTAIN!"
Unfortunately, the Admiral wasn't finished yet as he raised his right index finger to point at the smouldering ruins his basic kick had left Hawkins in, a bright yellow light shining at the tip for several seconds before firing a tiny beam in the direction of the downed Captain.
Kizaru smiled as the tiny beam exploded, taking a quarter of the entire Grove with it. The blast expanded all the way up to where Hawkins had originally been sitting leaving the Admiral rather amused.
"Oh?"
Emerging from the smoke was Hawkins, his body completely undamaged prompting Kizaru to scratch his chin in thought.
"Having only ten bodies against an Admiral of the Navy is rather concerning," Hawkins muttered as his arm split open and three voodoo like dolls fell out of it onto the ground below.
"Oh? How interesting," Kizaru mused as he took several steps forward. "Perhaps-."
The Admiral didn't get a chance to speak as another figure came crashing in-between the pair, bloodied and beaten but still conscious and ready to fight.
"D-damn! That cursed Warlord, he's far too strong!"
"I wouldn't be panicking about a mere Warlord, Mad Monk Urouge," Hawkins said evenly as the muscular man looked over in the direction of the fellow Pirate. "There is someone far worse currently present."
"What," the man gasped as he looked over to see Kizaru standing there with an intrigued expression. "Ah, the Admiral has arrived then!"
Urouge was about to get to his feet when a nearby building was knocked down and another familiar figure came charging toward him, his left arm cocked back and ready for a punch.
"D-damn it," Urouge gasped as he clambered to his feet only for another figure to use his shoulder as their own launchpad. "OI!"
Wielding a mace and a sword, the figure struck the other approaching figure several times before launching him into a nearby building. Landing with ease, he rose to his full height and looked directly at Kizaru.
"Oh, now that is interesting," Kizaru mused as the man entered a defensive stance. "How does it feel to be on the other side of the fence, eh Former Rear Admiral Drake?"
"Tch-!"
"Look out Drake, the Warlord is getting back up," Urouge called out prompting Drake to focus all his attention back toward his current foe.
"Red Flag X Drake, Bounty of two hundred and ninety-four million," the Warlord said monotonously as he raised his right hand. "Wanted Dead or Alive, proceeding with target elimination."
"Damn," Urouge growled as he fully rose to his feet. "Who'd have thought Bartholomew Kuma was such a cold bastard!"
"Bartholomew Kuma," Kizaru repeated as Drake's eyes moved toward the Admiral. "Indeed, he does appear to be Kuma, doesn't he Drake?"
"Stop playing these games Kizaru," Drake snarled as Kuma charged toward him, fist cocked back as he prepared to punch him.
The fist was caught however it wasn't by Human hands, but rather a green skinned claw. Kuma's head slowly rose upward as a shadow now loomed over him, a loud roar shaking the area.
"And there it is, the Ancient Zoan Type Devil Fruit given to you upon your promotion to Captain," Kizaru said in amusement. "The Saur Saur Fruit: Model – Allosaurus."
The massive dinosaur form of Drake roared again as he charged toward the Warlord. With one swift movement, Drake's maw easily enveloped the Warlord's head as he bit down around his neck.
Unfortunately, this did little to truly hurt Kuma who simply raised his right hand and fired a laser charged attack straight through Drake's chest. Immediately releasing him, Drake reverted to his Human form whilst clutching said chest as the Warlord's open palm charged up another strike.
"D-damn …"
"Seems like I've got no choice now," Urouge sighed as he tensed, his biceps tripling in size as his entire body seemed to grow larger and larger until he equalled Kuma's own height. "Time to return the favour!"
"Oh, seems like all you rookies have some interesting powers," Kizaru noted as Urouge entered a fighting stance. "That ability seems similar to that one member of Cipher Pol Aegis Zero …"
"Get ready for this Warlord," Urouge grinned as he charged toward Kuma. "Mass Mass: Inga Zarashi!"
Delivering several powerful blows to Kuma's face, the Warlord was sent flying through several buildings. Urouge's grin widened as he prepared to give chase however a single energy blast pierced through the top right of his shoulder sending him sprawling to the ground with his body deflating back to its original size.
"Hmm. To think you could mass enough strength to knock him around," Kizaru mused as Kuma emerged from the smoke with only minor cuts to the face. "But still, it isn't quite enough, is it?"
"D-damn," Urouge growled as he slowly rose to his feet. "How are you doing X Drake?"
"Better," the other Captain replied as he rose to his full height. "But this will still be a problem …"
"Hmm. It seems like I've been forgotten about," Kizaru mused as he noticed all three Captain's had turned their full attention toward Kuma. "You can fight that one all you want, but don't forget …"
Urouge suddenly vanished as dozens of buildings off to the left side of the battlefield began to collapse, the only sign he'd even gone being a sudden bright yellow flash of light. To Kizaru however, he simply focused on utilizing his speed as everything around him froze.
Walking over to Urouge, the Admiral raised his right leg and lazily delivered a kick to his side whilst scratching his chin in amusement, sending the larger man flying through dozens of buildings faster than anyone could ever hope to track.
Walking away from where Urouge had been, he returned to the position he'd been standing at before as events played out for the rest of the people present. It appeared that Hawkins and Drake knew he had struck Urouge, the former slowly moving to face him as his skin seemed to ripple before dissolving into what one could only describe as a spaghetti monster made entirely of straw.
"Oh? How interesting."
At the end of Drake's fingers were black needle shaped weapons. The Captain tried to slash at Kizaru however the Admiral had already vanished before he'd even begun the first strike.
"What-!"
Hawkins was shocked when two fingers appeared right in front of his eyes, a bright yellow light blinding him as his head struggled to deal with the sudden flash that had appeared at point blank range.
"ARGH!"
"Now then," Kizaru said as he pointed at Hawkins' torso. "What kind of power do you have I wonder?"
From his finger, Kizaru began firing a continuous burst of the attack he'd used to try and blow-up Hawkins earlier. With each and every shot piercing directly through him, they continued to travel well beyond and explode off in the distance, devastating the area behind them as the entire section of the Archipelago quickly turned into a literal hellscape.
The sheer destructive power within each blast had set off explosions so large the bright and colourful area was now red with black smoke permeating the air to the point that it blocked out the sun.
And yet Kizaru continued to fire his attacks with complete disregard for anything else until Hawkins finally dropped to his knees.
"Your ability clearly isn't a Logia; you have a physical form. Must be a Paramecia Type then. Oh well, not like it'll matter anyway …"
Raising his right leg, the bottom of his foot had charged an even more destructive attack with this one aimed at Hawkins' chest. The man couldn't even move as Kizaru inched closer until suddenly, he stopped.
"Hmm?"
The sound of music could be heard through the inferno as Kizaru's attack slowly dissipated. The Admiral lowered his leg and turned around, looking around until he saw another person standing atop one of the buildings.
"Yo! Yo! Yo! Yoyoyo!"
Standing atop one of the tall towers was Scratchman Apoo, his arm seemingly converted into a saxaphone as he blew into his fingers. In addition, the man was playing his teeth like a piano as light waves washed over the area.
"Yo! Yo! Yo! Yeah! Yoyoyo! Can you hear me an my tunes, specially you Navy man Kizaru!"
The man was clearly in his element as he jammed out on the various instruments he could turn his body into, Kizaru himself having completely halted what he was doing in favour of watching the absolutely strange display.
"Come on just watch what I do! Watch me slay thee Kizaru! Yeah! Yo! Yo! Yeahyeahyo! Yeah! SCRATCH!"
Hitting himself on top of the head, Apoo's jaw turned into a giant symbol that sent out a much stronger wave than before. As Kizaru continued to watch the display his right hand was suddenly sliced off and flew off to the side as the Admiral cocked his head to the side.
"Huh?"
"Now here we go! CHECK IT OUT!"
Banging his chest like a drum, everyone could see a monstrous blast was created that instantly exploded the moment it made contact with Kizaru. The man's body was blasted apart, his waist down being sent flying off to the side whilst his upper half landed amidst a pile of his arms and chest region.
"Well, that's definitely another thing to add to the list of interesting things I got to see today," Apoo sighed before looking down at Kizaru's downed form. "Still, better bail. That guy is an Admiral so I doubt he'll just get taken out by something like that. See ya!"
Apoo fled, jumping from rooftop to rooftop with ease as Kizaru watched him go with a sigh.
"Honestly," the man sighed as he looked over to his legs.
His legs twitched before suddenly hopping to stand upright, the rest of his body beginning to tun bright yellow before being dissolved into light particles that quickly moved to reattach themselves to the lower half.
It took less than a second for Kizaru to reform as he cracked his neck to relieve some built up pressure. Looking over at Apoo's fleeing form again he sighed as he made a cupping motion with his hands.
"Honestly. Glint Glint: Yata No Kagami."
In the time it took for Apoo to prepare to jump to the next building, Kizaru fired a ray of light that reflected off of several buildings before situating itself right above the musical Captain. He didn't even have the time to process it but Kizaru had already kicked him in the head, folding in a ten-story building with ease.
As X Drake watched Apoo hop away, he felt the front of his face feel rather sore all of a sudden. It was then that he was sent crashing halfway across the Grove whilst an arrow made of light shot Hawkins through the shoulder.
All of this was performed in less than two seconds.
As Apoo smashed into the collapsed building, Drake flew off across the Grove and Hawkins collapsed due to the near fatal injury, Kizaru appeared. The man was walking down the devastated street with the hellscape he'd created reflected off of his shades, a small smile on his face.
/Natsu's POV/
"This is bad …"
"Tell me about it," Ahnk snorted in response as all three processed what they had just witnessed. "That guy is undoubtedly as fast as Kaguya was in her strongest form!"
"Actually, this man quite literally is moving at the Speed Of Light," Aava chimed in as they watched Kizaru decimate three Captains instantly. "It will take everything we have to hold him back."
"Well," Natsu sighed inwardly as he warped onto the main street below. "No time like the present …"
Walking out into the view of Kizaru, the man ceased walking and looked over at him in what Natsu could only assume was genuine surprise. Taking his hands out of his pockets, the man didn't make any sudden hostile movements though Natsu wouldn't slip up against someone this fast.
"How interesting," Kizaru said as he adjusted his shades. "I did not expect you to willingly seek me out."
"Anyone with half a brain knows that you're the biggest threat on this Archipelago," Natsu replied neutrally as the two stared each other down, their coats flapping in the wind as fire raged all around them. "So naturally, being as strong as I am its my responsibility to make sure you don't take out anyone I'm friends with who would be easily defeated by you."
"Oh? So, you're doing this for your comrades in the Straw Hats eh?"
"Yes."
"I see, I see," the man said slowly as he scratched his chin seemingly in thought. "You do realize that what you have done is something we cannot simply ignore, right? Merely insulting a Celestial Dragon can have you executed, but killing three of them … we barely had a precedent for one with that golden Servant."
"You can try and enforce punishment on me but don't think I'll keel over like all the other weaklings on this island."
"Oh no, I'm fully aware of the threat you pose … Natsu Dragneel."
"Seems like battle is unavoidable then, not that I expected anything less after what I've done," Natsu said as he became coated in a Pitch-Black Aura.
"No, you'll need to be brought to Justice," Kizaru replied as he became coated in a bright yellow light.
The two simply stood there eying each other for several minutes, neither one so much as blinking as they tried to analyse the other. Eventually, both did indeed vanish and appeared high above Sabaody as a black Aura crashed into a yellow one several times in rapid succession.
The two constantly smashed into one another before suddenly making a beeline for the ground, the yellow Aura spinning around the black one right up until the point of impact. Right as they were about to strike the ground the pair became visible and both left rather deep marks in the ground as they dug their heels into the ground to skid to a stop.
"How interesting," Kizaru mused as he stopped twenty metres away. "To think you can actually keep up!"
"Being able to perceive an attack at Light Speed and actually being it are two entirely separate things."
"True," the Admiral replied as he vanished in a flash of yellow light.
Natsu ducked and avoided a sweeping leg kick, said leg being completely yellow in colouration as a colossal explosion went off in the background that shook the entire island.
Kizaru dug his other foot into the ground and used his right leg to begin delivering thousands of kicks in Natsu's direction. Natsu remained in the same spot as the afterimages of Natsu dodging combined with Kizaru's leg putting out more kicks than anyone could care to count really drove home just how far beyond a regular fight this would ultimately become.
After realizing Natsu wasn't going to be hit, Kizaru ceased his kicks and jumped backward, spinning around on the spot before vanishing in a bright light once again. This time, Natsu blocked a kick from behind with a kick of his own, spinning around and blocking a second kick before the pair launched into the air and began trading dozens upon dozens of fast paced blows.
Neither could still hit the other as beams of light were sent hurdling toward the ground below, domes of fiery death popping up all over the place as Kizaru's attacks ravaged the already trashed Archipelago.
"Now I see why you were so confident in killing those Celestial Dragons," Kizaru said as he avoided a punch from Natsu, crossing arms with the man instead as the pair quickly fell back to the earth below. "Such strength is rarely seen outside of the Four Emperors or the Nine Pirate Lords."
"Yeah, well," Natsu grunted as the pair landed and blasted each other away. "I don't know much about all that crap, just that those Celestial bastards got what they deserved!"
"Is that so," Kizaru said as his hands began to glow that same bright light. "Then I suppose holding back now would be an insult toward your work, no?"
Natsu was surprised as the man knelt down and placed his hands on the ground, a sudden surge of great power manifesting all around him which forced him on the defensive.
"What-!"
"Glint Glint: Chinju No Mori!"
Immediately Natsu's body moved to evade as spears of light shot up from the ground all around him. Darting and weaving through the deadly spears of pure light, Natsu grit his teeth as he inched closer toward the Admiral who merely raised an eyebrow in response.
"This guy … he's way too powerful for a world like this!"
"He could easily fight a God if he wanted to, yet here he exists as a mortal man wielding an overpowered ability," Ahnk added as Natsu evaded the last section of the spears and cocked back ready to punch the man.
"Hybrid's Aura: Fire Dragon Monarch's Demolition Fist!"
Kizaru's eyes widened as Natsu launched his attack from over ten metres away, the small fist shaped attack rapidly expanding to eclipse one of the Yarukiman Mangroves, knocking it down as Kizaru was caught in the blast.
The Admiral's attack died out granting Natsu a moment to catch his breath. The Mangrove crashed to the forest floor which in turn shook the very ground in response. Just as he was about to wipe away some sweat, Natsu was kicked in the chest as Kizaru appeared in a flash of yellow, his body somewhat made of pure yellow in places indicating he'd suffered battle damage.
Natsu was sent flying into another one of the Yarukiman Mangrove, an explosion going off of equal size as Natsu's as the Mangrove was toppled over. Unfortunately, despite just being kicked at Light Speed, Natsu was forced to evade in mid air as Kizaru sailed past with his leg converted into pure light.
"Hmm, how interesting," Kizaru mused as his attack sailed off into the distance and exploded. "You're still conscious and combat ready despite being hit by me."
Natsu didn't even respond and instead countered by trying to take a swipe at the man who simply vanished and appeared on the ground below. Landing several seconds later, both were swiftly regenerating from their wounds as a smile made its way onto the Admiral's lips.
"Not that I'm in a position to judge," Natsu said as he stretched his right arm until an audible crack was heard. "But aren't you being a little too destructive? Isn't the job of the World Government to maintain peace and keep the citizens safe?"
"Usually it is," Kizaru replied coolly. "However, given who you are, any and all means are authorized to detain or eliminate you."
It was barely noticeable, the only sign that Kizaru had already begun his attack being that the colour of the man's shades turned the same bright yellow. Thanks to his years of practice against opponents around this speed he could see the glass in the shades light up as Kizaru fired two beams of light at him.
Immediately, Natsu leant backward as the two attacks sailed over him. He watched as the two lasers struck a nearby hill and exploded, shaking the area once again however he was already on the move again as he sensed Kizaru move.
"I don't know if I should be pissed he's killing all these people or impressed at how casually he's doing it?"
"How about being focused instead?"
"Shut up!"
Vanishing from his current position right as Kizaru appeared, Natsu popped back in above him with an already fully charged attack in-between his hands.
"Try this on for size," Natsu shouted as he increased the distance between his hands as the ball of flame rapidly expanded. "Hybrid's Aura: Fire Monarch's Nova Shell!"
The attack suddenly vanished and appeared right in front of Kizaru, who's eyes widened in genuine surprise at how the attack had travelled.
"Hmm. Seems you have quite a few speed feats, don't you," was all Natsu heard before the attack exploded, taking out what little remained of the Grove in the process.
He didn't have time to rest however as Kizaru appeared in front of him completely unharmed, no doubt thanks to his speed. Blocking a similar styled kick to the one he'd used on Apoo, Natsu grabbed the man's leg only for it to go completely intangible.
"Bloody Logia Users," Natsu growled before being belted across the face with the other leg and being sent flying across several Groves before crashing into another Mangrove Tree. "Ugh …"
"Seems like you would understand this concept, but I'll say it anyway," Kizaru said as he moved from the spot he'd kicked Natsu all the way to where he'd landed instantly. "Speed. Is. W-."
"Weight," Natsu said as Kizaru was struck in the back and sent flying down into the Grove below.
The Admiral recovered mid-air and landed perfectly on his feet just in time to block a flaming spinning kick with his forearm. Pushing Natsu off, the Hybrid performed several flips before firing off a dozen blasts of fire.
"Now I get what all the hype was about," Kizaru said in his usual tone as he crossed his arms and vanished into the air, avoiding Natsu's barrage of attacks in the process. "I dare say you'd even give Sengoku trouble …"
Making a circular shape with his thumb and second finger, two lights that felt more like stars appeared in the gap between them, a sudden spike in the man's power indicating he was about to attack once again.
"Glint Glint: Yasakani No Magatama!"
From the shining light, thousands of Light-based energy blasts rained down over the area, each packing enough destructive power to level a sizeable building. Sliding into a new stance, a golden glow emerged within his Pitch-Black Aura as the ground cracked beneath him.
"Hybrid's Aura: True Heavenly Body Magic – Meteor!"
Shooting off in a black blur, Natsu began weaving his way through the Light Speed shower and desperately trying to avoid being blown up. He had to give the Admiral credit; he certainly had a mastery over his powers unlike most other Devil Fruit Users he'd seen.
"Hmm. That's a rather interesting technique," Kizaru mused as he tried to focus his blasts a little ahead of the Hybrid to try and tag him. "Perhaps this fight might drag on longer than expected …"
"We have to go on the offensive somehow," Natsu inwardly hissed as he narrowly avoided a blast. "He's fast and he damn well knows it, that speed of his combined with his power makes a lot of my own techniques pointless to try!"
"Because he'll just dodge them anyway," Ahnk sighed understandingly. "I have to say, the fact that there is a Devil Fruit capable of granting its user the ability to become Light itself is rather concerning."
It took him several moments to notice that Kizaru had ceased his attack and was now flying alongside him, a slight grin on his face as the background seemed to pass by in more than a blur.
"I have to say, not many are skilled enough to avoid that one."
"Yeah, but I'm not part of the 'many' club now am I?"
"Heh."
The black and yellow lights smashed into each other multiple times, weaving around the Mangroves and other obstacles with ease as dozens of craters began to form around the area. Eventually the black blur was sent flying through a hill but quickly dispersed into Natsu who skidded to a stop.
"Shit-!"
"That's about enough of a warm up I think," the Admiral grinned as the yellow blur formed back into him high in the air, his form rapidly approaching as he brought his fists together. "It's been quite some time since I've had to fight seriously, not since my Sensei retired as a matter of fact."
Natsu watched as Light appeared in the man's hands, his offhand extending outward as a formidable light sword appeared in his hands. The sword was purely made from light and had a massive guard to it though the width of what would be the blade wasn't too thick.
"There's absolutely no way those blades you make with your arms will be able to block a sword like that," Ahnk said immediately as Natsu hummed in agreement. "A blade made with Light would undoubtedly have the same power behind it as all of Kizaru's other attacks."
"Meaning that even regular blades would be sliced apart," Natsu grunted in acknowledgement as the man came down upon him, the sword pulled back in a thrusting motion.
Vanishing from his place, Natsu reappeared behind the man who had already turned around to slash at him. Unfortunately, instead of Kizaru's blade meeting its target there was a loud screeching sound as Kizaru shot a smirk his way.
"Hmm. I don't think any of the reports on you ever mentioned you using this during direct combat," the Admiral muttered as he looked down to see his attack had been met by the semi drawn blade always at Natsu's side. "In fact, there's only one recorded instance of you using it during the Enies Lobby incident now that I think about it."
Kizaru was pushed back which allowed Natsu to fully draw Pallas' Sword, its weightlessness easily allowing him to enter a semi ready stance as the blade was held out to his right. Kizaru spun his blade several times, firing off multiple Light Speed yellow coloured aerial slash attacks, but what Natsu wasn't expecting was for the Admiral to have melded himself into the last one.
"Shit-!"
Barely raising his blade in time, Natsu was sent skidding backward at a quick pace from the force behind the attack as the Admiral again vanished in a flash and appeared above him. Raising his blade, Natsu blocked it and flicked his wrist to adjust the position of the two locked blades.
"Hybrid's Aura: One Sword Style – Great Dragon Shock!"
Kizaru's eyes widened as he found himself suddenly floating in the air, his senses screaming to him that Natsu was already in the middle of a strike mere inches behind him. With his speed, the Admiral managed to react as a loud screeching sound echoed across the inferno all around him before a bright yellow blur was sent crashing through several Mangrove Trees leaving large gaping holes in them.
"Haki," Natsu growled as he flicked his blade back to his side. "That'll be a problem."
"That was Armament Haki he just used on his back, right? What a strange substance … It's like a black armor one can just manifest through sheer force of will."
"He didn't just use that though, did he," Natsu muttered inwardly as he replayed the attack in his mind. "The way he reacted, undoubtedly he used Observation Haki as well."
"Which means he's truly taking this seriously now," Ahnk said grimly as a bright yellow flash indicating Kizaru was on the move again.
"Here we go," Natsu muttered as he performed a full three sixty-degree spin and clashed with Kizaru once again.
"I have to say, that blade is rather dangerous," the Admiral said in his usual laid-back tone however Natsu was surprised to see he actually had left a cut across the man's cheek. "It has been over eight years since I've taken real battle damage you know?"
"I took battle damage last week, get over it," Natsu growled as the force behind the pair began to crack the ground as they pushed against each other's blade for dominance.
"Heh."
Natsu's neck snapped to the right as he avoided a second attempt by the Admiral to blast him with those Light-based laser attacks from his eyes. The Admiral simply grinned as he made a pushing motion to separate the pair.
Skidding backward slightly, Natsu blocked several sword strikes before returning a few of his own. Eventually, the Admiral leapt away whilst performing several flips in mid-air and firing off more aerial slash attacks.
"Two can play at that game," Natsu growled as he readjusted his grip on his blade and spun it around so fast a near constant stream of aerial slash attacks were generated, putting the Admiral on the defensive.
"Oh dear, that attack is quite formidable!"
"Hybrid's Aura: One Sword Style Secret Technique – Great Dragon's Wingbeat Backblast!"
Spinning around as he continued to perform the constant stream of aerial slash attacks, Kizaru vanished and reappeared in the air, darting left and right as he avoided the veritable blender aimed his way.
"Yes, dealing with you is becoming rather troublesome …"
Cupping his hands, Kizaru formed a technique Natsu had seen him use earlier. Instantly ceasing his attack as Kizaru fired the attack, he entered a ready stance with his sword at his side.
"Glint Glint: Yata No Kagami!"
The Admiral was in his face almost instantly, sword mere inches from his heart as he moved his blade. A low sigh was all either combatant heard as Natsu vanished and appeared on the other side of him.
"Hybrid's Aura: One Sword Style Secret Technique – Lightning Dragon Monarch's Harmonious Thunder!"
Kizaru blinked and was shocked to see his body had been cut clean in two, a single spark of Blue Lightning the only hint for him to look upward.
"Oh …"
Being able to move and react at the Speed Of Light meant that Kizaru could easily see Lightning as it struck the ground. If he were currently whole, he would simply avoid the attack, however his lower body was currently on the ground as his upper body slowly fell to join it.
He watched in fascination as the jagged bolt slowly moved toward him, making an unorthodox zigzag pattern as it moved to strike him. He watched as the tip of the bolt struck his chest and quickly realized he was actually starting to feel the attack, and smiled.
"I see, how interesting."
The bolt struck with a resounding boom, setting off a massive explosion as more fires sprung up around the area. Natsu immediately spun around and entered a defensive stance, knowing full well an attack like that wouldn't finish off this man.
"He's way too powerful for a single Lightning strike to finish him off."
"Agreed."
"I must say, I'm beyond impressed," Kizaru's voice called out through the smoke as the Admiral emerged with no battle damage aside from the scratch on his cheek and a slight black mark where the Lightning strike had pierced his body. "Can you keep going?"
Natsu stared at the smiling Admiral and idly wondered if he was a little slow in the head. It would be rather ironic considering his ability, but he was forced to push that aside as he saw Kizaru move into another stance with his own blade.
"Perhaps I should start pulling out my more advanced techniques," the Admiral idly mused as he shook his head. "I want you to keep fighting me, show me more of this impressive power of yours."
Natsu wasn't prepared for the Admiral to raise his sword as its width suddenly expanded to an almost unfathomable size. With the same grin he'd worn since their fight started, Kizaru struck the ground to Natsu's far right.
"Glint Glint: Ama No Murakumo – Haraigushi!"
Swinging his blade at the Speed Of Light, Kizaru quite literally wiped away the entire area. Natsu had nowhere to run as the blade's height was far too much for him to evade in time. As Kizaru ceased his swing, the now completely flattened and barren landscape became coated in shadows as all the things he'd sliced apart began to fall down upon the ground below.
"Hmm. Perhaps I shouldn't have done that," the Admiral mused as hills, Yarukiman Mangroves, buildings, dead bodies, grass, dirt and everything in-between crashed into the ground all at once creating a massive pile.
Kizaru did notice however that Natsu was nowhere to be seen amidst the falling wreckage. Looking closer at the pile, the Admiral's eyes widened suddenly as felt a sudden pressure slam into him.
The rubble began to lift up once again, this time all of it smashing into one giant ball as a slightly wounded and annoyed Natsu held his free hand upward, a purple glow surrounding it. With his sword arm, Natsu began slashing at the massive pile until it became more projectiles than he could even hope to count.
"So, we're playing like this now, are we," Natsu growled as he floated upward to stand atop one of the pieces. "Then let's see how you like this!"
Kizaru's eyes narrowed at the approaching debris. There was an ungodly amount of it and he knew that Natsu wouldn't just throw it if he wasn't sure it could actually damage him. Sighing, the Admiral raised his right leg as a bright golden light emanated from his foot.
"Glint Glint: Ama No Iwato!"
From his foot, Kizaru fired a massive blast of Light that quickly formed into a rapidly expanding monkey head. The attack engulfed almost the entirely of the debris and forced Natsu to warp away well before he was caught up in it.
The attack quickly disappeared into the sky as Kizaru charged toward Natsu again, both now swinging their blades with expert precision as large chunks of the earth around them were blasted apart.
After exchanging several more powerful strikes, Kizaru dismissed his sword as Natsu tossed his into the air with it landing in its sheath with ease. The pair then began exchanging a series of punches and kicks on the ground briefly before taking off into the air as their battle moved above Sabaody itself.
"I'll admit," Natsu panted as the pair locked fists before blasting each other backward. "You're definitely stronger than Aokiji was!"
"Aokiji? I wasn't aware you'd fought him directly when you met?"
"We had a brief scuffle," Natsu admitted as both combatants spun around and exchanged several powerful kicks, "But even from that I can tell he's nowhere close to the level of raw power and speed you possess."
"Heh. Thanks for the compliment, but there's more to an opponent than such basic things," the Admiral admitted as they clashed legs one last time before ceasing their attacks and pulling back.
"Obviously. But like I said, based on my own experiences I would say you would be the stronger one in battle."
"Perhaps, but Kuzan is much craftier," Kizaru admitted as the pair vanished and locked fists once again. "His flaw is that he's lazier than I am."
"You, lazy," Natsu scoffed as he received a punch to the face. "Doesn't feel like it!"
"Heh," was all Kizaru responded with before receiving a blow to the face in kind and the pair shot off into two blurs that kept crashing into one another over and over again.
The two blurs kept slamming into one another high above the island as yellow lasers and various other elements flew out of each bit of contact. To the average person, there weren't even two people fighting up there it was just some strange freak weather storm performing all these things.
But to those who were observant enough …
The pair clashed yet again, this time however Natsu had opted to use his off hand in the hope that it would catch the Admiral off guard. Fortunately, it did. The man was shocked when he found himself being held by the throat, a pressure unlike anything he'd ever felt beginning to strangle the life out of him.
"That's how these things go, isn't it," Natsu mused his he began flying down toward the Archipelago at high speed. "One tiny slip up can end a fight on this level."
Kizaru couldn't respond but instead simply clenched a fist, a red light flashing momentarily which went entirely unnoticed.
Just as he was about to be slammed into the ground, the grip vanished. Kizaru immediately turned into Light and was already in a mid-kick which was blocked by Natsu.
"The hell," Natsu growled as he fended off Kizaru's attack with one arm, and using his sword he held back the blade of another.
"Unfortunately, I couldn't just let you put me out of commission Natsu," Kizaru grinned as all three hit the ground, still locked in a clash.
"A Servant …"
"Great response time, Saber," Kizaru said as he nodded to his Servant who simply grinned back.
"You knew I was watching the whole time," Saber grinned as he applied more pressure into his strike which had Natsu dropping down to one knee from the sheer strength behind it. "Hard not to want to jump in on a fight that's already destroyed half the Archipelago!"
"S-Saber," Natsu growled when he suddenly recognized a familiar power. "Wait a minute … that power of yours is just like that of a Shinigami!"
"Heh," the man responded with a toothy grin. "And you'd be right there, Natsu."
"Of course you know who I am," the Hybrid grumbled in response as Saber ceased applying pressure and backed away. "Master, I want to face him personally."
"Oh? And why exactly would you want to do that?"
"Well, aside from the obvious fun I'd get from fighting him," the Saber laughed before his expression darkened somewhat. "Sentomaru told me to send you to him."
"Oh! Well then, as far as reasons go I suppose that is only fair," Kizaru said as he also backed off leaving Natsu to get to his feet. "As much as I enjoyed our battle it appears I am needed elsewhere."
"So, you're just gonna bail?"
"Believe me when I say this," Kizaru said as his entire form turned into a bright yellow light. "My Servant is just as capable as I am, maybe even more so."
And then he vanished, leaving Natsu and the Servant alone.
"Quite the character, isn't he," Saber laughed as he flicked his blade, a monstrous Aura of Death roaring to life around him as the man's smirk widened. "Let's see just what the famous Lord High Arbiter is capable of, eh?"
Natsu didn't answer and instead got into a ready stance as he tried to analyse everything regarding his new foe. After all, Servants were more often than not the most troubling foes to face, especially after he'd just used a good deal of power trying to deal with Kizaru.
"I only hope he's not as strong as Grimmjow …"
Hope you all enjoyed and I'll see you in the next one!
