Hi guys Azza here!
Reviews
Draven23 – I basically explain why he hasn't already done so with the Apocalyptic thing this chapter but basically Vortigern sealing the entirety of Marineford into that pocket dimsension cut Natsu off from accessing it and the amount he'd get from just Marineford isn't enough.
That being said he will once its down he just can't atm.
Ok on with the story!
I do not own Fairy Tail, One Piece or the Nasuverse.
King Of Realignment
/Marineford Bay/
"My King," Gawain cried as he, along with Lancelot, sprinted toward Artoria's rigid form. "Are you injured!?"
"No … I am fine, at least physically," was the curt response as powerful gusts of wind pushed the group back.
"Mordred," Lancelot said through grit teeth as he looked over toward the still ongoing clash between Vortigern and Natsu. "I cannot believe Vortigern was able to do that!"
"Mordred did everything she could Lancelot, Vortigern was just a far greater foe than what she could handle-."
"Far greater than what any of us could handle," Artoria corrected Gawain as she tightened her grip on Excalibur. "The fault for Mordred's defeat should lie solely upon myself for failing to face Vortigern as the threat I fully knew he was. Now, Natsu mourns for Mordred and we all may yet pay the price."
"So, you admit that Mordred did good then," Iskandar asked curiously as Artoria turned her attention away from Natsu's battle and toward the fleeing Whitebeard Pirates and the rest of the Allied Forces who had almost run out of land to stand on.
"We don't have much time left; the reinforcements can't enter this space until Vortigern is defeated. We must aid Natsu, even if he does not desire it, if we are to have a chance at saving our current forces from annihilation."
Iskandar said nothing, knowing full well that trying to argue with Artoria whilst she was conflicted was a futile effort. Instead, he decided to look toward better aiding the Allied Forces and took off toward Whitebeard's position. After all, nothing concrete would work without his go ahead.
Back with Natsu however, he was currently pushing against Vortigern as the pair were locked in a sword clash. The clash had shattered the ground around them and was sending out blackish red sparks in all directions along with powerful gusts of wind that even blew back the nearby ships in the bay itself.
"You are a fool to challenge me with that sword Dragneel," Vortigern growled as the ground continued to destabilize around them. "I will drain the last of its fleeting light and send it back to its pathetic wielder!"
"Mordred will get Clarent back … once I've chopped off your fat fucking head with it," Natsu snarled as he pushed against Vortigern whilst performing a slight jump, using the power behind his half of the clash to push himself away and clear some distance. "She was one of the few things keeping me grounded and you took her away, and now you mock her when she isn't even here to defend herself! I'll make your death nice and slow …"
Gripping Clarent with both hands, Natsu charged forward as Vortigern spun his weapon so fast it was no longer visible to the naked eye. In actuality, he began firing off dozens of dark laced aerial slash attacks and blasts of black magic in Natsu's direction.
Swinging upward to meet the first attack, Natsu hacked and slashed his way through the attacks as Vortigern backed up further and further toward the side of the rampart walls where the body of Oars Junior lay. Once he reached it, he ceased firing attacks and spun around to stab the corpse of Oars Junior, a foul black substance leaking into the wound almost immediately as the Whitebeard Pirates who had been watching the fight cried out in protest.
"What are you doing Vortigern!?"
"This is war boy, I'm winning it," Vortigern hissed in response as his Aura flared up drastically.
The eyes of Little Oars Junior shot open, however now they were a corrupted black colour as the giant ogre began to rise once more. The Whitebeard Pirates looked on in shock as their once kind and gentle comrade was corrupted right before their very eyes and there was little they could do about it.
Oars' yellowish-green skin darkened into a more reddish-purple colour with his already monstrous appearance increasing in turn. His teeth became sharper, his body larger with his severed leg being regenerated using the black substance. The size of the former Whitebeard Pirate also started to increase as he now easily dwarfed his former height, looming down upon Natsu and anyone else near enough to the rampart walls.
Oars Junior let loose an animalistic roar as he picked up his blade and swung it at Natsu who easily avoided the attack. He was even more pissed that Vortigern dared to turn a former ally on him but was struggling to decide what to do in the heat of the moment.
"OI, OARS! SNAP OUT OF IT OARS!"
Natsu turned his attention toward Marco who was now flying around the corrupted Oars' head, trying to draw his attention and snap him out of his seemingly frenzied state. He knew there was no use however, he knew Vortigern had performed Necromancy to turn Oars into a mindless beast.
"Marco, get back," Natsu shouted in response as Oars made to swing at both of them. "Vortigern corrupted him, used his corpse to create this … thing! I'm sorry to say this but your friend, Little Oars Junior, is no longer with us!"
Marco grit his teeth as the pair flew over another swing only for Natsu to be struck by a barrage of dark magic projectiles. The Vice-Captain looked between Natsu and the now corrupted Oars and shook his head.
"Fine …"
"Don't worry Marco, I'm gonna make him pay for everything he's done."
"Yeah," the Phoenix Human replied as he looked Natsu directly in the eyes for a brief moment, seeing the sheer level of rage steadily building within him. "Yeah, I can tell you will."
"But since you're up here, can you do me a solid?"
"What?"
"You're a Phoenix Zoan, right!?"
"Yeah, why?"
"Fire. Give me lots of fire," Natsu grinned darkly as Marco looked at him with a questioning gaze. "Just trust me!"
"Alright, but only because I know this isn't gonna burn ya," Marco sighed as he flew up high into the air and fully transformed into his Phoenix Form.
Charging back toward at Natsu, he fired a solid stream of blue fire at him. To the Phoenix man's surprise however, Natsu eagerly started devouring the flames as if they were little more than a midday snack. It took him less than ten seconds to do so which coincided with the next swing from the corrupted Oars.
"Sorry for what I'm about to do, I truly am," Natsu sighed as he spun around and caught the monstrous blade with his free hand.
"RRRAAAAAGH!"
"Sorry for not slaying Vortigern fast enough Oars, you didn't deserve this," Natsu muttered softly as he flicked Clarent so quickly only a select few even saw him move.
The next thing everyone knew, the arm wielding the giant blade had been severed from the shoulder as blood poured down onto the battlefield. Still holding the giant blade in his other hand, Natsu flew high into the sky before tossing the weapon even further up, the arm releasing the weapon and flying out to sea in the process.
Looking up at the darkened skies covered by Vortigern's spell, Natsu's mind briefly flashed with an image of Mordred and he felt his rage return full force. Reaching outward with his free hand, tentacles shot out from his arm and wrapped around the grip of the massive blade as he swung it as fast as a regular blade.
Everyone below was shocked to see him lob the blade like a throwing knife, the weapon simply vanishing from where Natsu was the second he spun around. The next thing everyone knew, the corrupted body of Oars had been sliced in half with the tip of the weapon impaling itself into the already battle-scarred ground of the rampart wall exterior.
The two halves of the now decimated Oars collapsed into bloodied heaps as Vortigern assumed a defensive stance. Natsu reappeared several metres away with the same scowl as earlier on his face however this time he was clearly had the energy to back up his rage.
"I may have underestimated you, Dragneel," Vortigern hummed as he looked at the severed halves of Oars Junior. "I did not believe you capable of slaying a comrade so quickly?"
"I know all about Necromancy, you destroyed him with your filth the moment you touched him," Natsu spat in response. "You truly are a Vile King!"
"Do not act so superior when you yourself are capable of the same feat thanks to the power of the Black Arts!"
"Even though it could be so easy to use Etherious and turn the enemy soldiers into mindless Etherious Demons under my command, I wouldn't do it unless there was a good reason! Even as much as I hate you and the dogs of the World Government, I don't consider that a good enough reason! The dead deserve peace, irrespective of their beliefs in life!"
"And where did such ideals get you," Vortigern laughed in response as he gestured out toward the carnage and destruction. "I have slain your Servant, tens of thousands across both sides have perished already and the war hasn't even reached its critical stage! You are a fool if you believe you can afford to hold back against the likes of me!"
"I'll show you," Natsu replied sharply as he pointed Clarent at him. "I'll show you that I don't need to defile the dead to win, nor do I need to sacrifice others to win against a vile piece of trash like you!"
Vortigern was shocked as Natsu appeared behind him mid swing, still looking at Natsu standing directly across from him. It wasn't until he'd managed to half turn that he realized he wasn't looking at Natsu, but someone else entirely.
Only partially managing to block the attack, Vortigern was still sent flying. His heavily armoured form was sent airborne and smashed into the side of the rampart wall where it was left imprinted for all to see.
The Vile King growled and looked down to see Natsu looking up at him with a smirk, the figure who struck him looking just as amused as he playfully twirled his sword about. Next to Natsu was a figure who shouldn't have been there at all, someone who by all rights should have been long since dead.
"Good to see the connection is stable, how long do you think you've got?"
"Two minutes I'd say."
"That'll do nicely, Ahnk."
Vortigern's eyes narrowed as Natsu and Ahnkseram faced him down. It was obvious now as his Aura enhanced eyes scanned Ahnkseram that his body was tethered to Natsu's. The former bane of the higher realm's existence wasn't even really there but rather was merely a projection made solely of Natsu's Aura.
"I must say," Vortigern huffed as he pried himself free from the wall. "That is a truly marvellous piece of Aura work."
"Figures you'd catch onto it," Ahnk scoffed as the tether connecting his heart to Natsu's became visible for the briefest of moments. "True, I don't technically exist beyond a mere fragment of Natsu's soul, but since when has a little soul manipulation ever been beyond the ability of my magnificent mind?"
"You don't have long," Vortigern responded as he separated his weapon into two and entered a defensive stance. "And once that time limit is up, you'll take a hit in your reserves for sure. That would explain why you had the pet bird of Whitebeard provide you with flame, am I correct?"
"Oh yes, very much so," Natsu responded casually which surprised Vortigern and put him on guard. "But you won't survive long enough to find out what happens then."
"You really shouldn't have pissed us off Vortigern," Ahnk continued as both seemed to power up at the same time, seemingly at the exact same level of power. "When Natsu gets pissed, somebody will probably die. But when I get pissed off …"
Vortigern found himself skidding backward as Ahnk vanished, appearing directly in front of him to deliver a powerful downward slash attack that sent a shockwave right through his armor.
He didn't have to skid for long since Natsu was already behind him and kicked him up into the air. Spinning Clarent around he fired off several aerial slash attacks that Vortigern managed to block. These however, were just a distraction.
"We have, at most, a minute to dish out as much damage as we can," Ahnk snapped as he kicked Vortigern in the chest to knock him even higher. "We need to push him away from that hole in the enemy line at the very least!"
"I'm well aware of that genius, you ready!?"
"Yep!"
"Let's do it!"
Both vanished and started warping all around Vortigern who had no chance to keep up with their sheer speed in the air. Eventually, large gashes started appearing in his armor as they hacked and slashed away at him using identical attack patterns.
"Hybrid's Aura: Crash Slash Streaming Barrage," they both shouted as they appeared right in front of him, each bringing their blades down to deliver two brutal blows to his front.
"Go Ahnk!"
"Right!"
Ahnk dismissed his own blade and started delivering a series of fierce punches and kicks to Vortigern as he fell back down toward the ground like a projectile. Several more blows later, Ahnk performed a roundhouse kick that launched him into one of the Sea Stone walls, leaving him embedded into it as his ruined armor started to regenerate.
"Alright Natsu, let's kill this piece of trash and get moving," Ahnk growled as he summoned a magic circle that generated a lance shaped object filled to the brim with chaotic power. "Elder Devil's Aura: Black Arts – Eatsah Sumsylcatac!"
"What-!?"
"That's not all you bastard," Natsu roared as he landed right next to Ahnk's position. "I'll make sure this finishes you off!"
Natsu's muscles began to bulge as he gripped Clarent with both hands and several magic circles began to manifest around the blade portion of the weapon. Natsu then transformed all the way into his Demiurge form as another magic circle formed in front of his mouth.
"THIS IS FOR MORDRED, DEVIL'S AURA: BLACK ARTS – UTCI ACINATAS AMMALF ACILOBAID AHCRANOM!"
Ahnk threw his attack at Vortigern, the entire area beginning to shake violently as the Devilish blast rapidly expanded in size. Likewise, Natsu also began his attack, charging right into the centre of Ahnk's attack as the two attacks formed a powerful Unison Raid.
"Devil's Aura: Black Arts Unison Raid – Atacruf Augnil Ilobaid!"
Vortigern let out his first cry of pain during the lengthy battle as the now Black Arts, Devil's Aura enhanced Clarent pierced right through his armor and stabbed him in the chest. Vortigern's cry of pain quickly turned to a scream as explosions went off inside his body from the attack, perfectly calculated child explosions designed to cause maximum damage within the body without harming their allies behind them.
Ripping Clarent free, Natsu looked back at Ahnk who simply vanished. He then flew back from Vortigern's constantly jerking form as more and more explosions went off inside his armoured body and landed down on one knee.
"Shit … that was A LOT of power we just used right there Ahnk."
"We needed the combined skill and you know it," Ahnk said in response. "You weren't pulling off an attack potent enough to pierce through that armor that had enough dark in it and you know it!"
"I know … I'm just so low on reserves again."
"Natsu!"
Looking up, he saw the other Knights of the Round running toward him with Artoria keeping a steady pace behind them. She likely knew he'd be pissed off at her at the moment, and she was right to assume as such.
He could deal with the Round though since they never treated Mordred harshly.
"Gawain … Lancelot," Natsu panted as he shakily rose to his feet.
"I never thought I'd see Vortigern in such a state," Gawain muttered as they all looked up at the still jerking form of the Berserker. "That dark power just now … Natsu I-!"
"Save it. Let's just kill this bastard and get the rest of this stupid battle over with."
"Right …"
The sound of cracking brought all eyes back up onto the spot on the wall Vortigern currently resided, and most widened in varying degrees of shock.
"After all that, he can still move!?"
"Shit," was all Natsu could mutter bitterly as the entire body of Vortigern broke down into the grotesque black substance, dropping to the ground before quickly reforming into a completely unharmed version of Vortigern.
"Elder Devil's Aura: Vile King's Pledge A+!"
"Figures," Artoria growled as she finally chose that moment to step forward. "A skill like that granted him the ability to revive, rapid regeneration and now … now he's even stronger than before."
"Just like last time," Gawain said tiredly as he looked up to the darkened sky. "He truly is a monster …"
"I warned you all earlier, did I not," Vortigern said darkly as his Aura began flooding the area which had most of the Allied Forces taking several steps backward in fear. "I am the one who will reforge my beloved Britannia into the sole power it should have been. The separation of our world and the Reverse will be stopped, the AGE OF FANTASY WILL NEVER END!"
"Just what the hell IS Vortigern," Natsu hissed as even he couldn't help but be impressed by his powerful Aura. "He's got to be beatable somehow, we've just got to keep trying!"
"There is but one way I believe Vortigern to be beatable," a new voice cut in as Tristan, along with Ritsuka and Mash arrived to join the group.
"That being," was Natsu's immediate response as he nodded slightly to the two teens next to the Knight, a small and grim smile on his face showing that he was glad to see them. "I literally blasted him with enough power that had it been unfocused it could've destroyed several continents and he just ended up stronger!?"
"I believe that Vortigern can only be beaten by one specific means, making virtually invincible otherwise."
"I know what Sir Tristan is referring to," Artoria sighed as she looked over at her Uncle who seemed to be amused at what they were about to learn. "The only way Vortigern can be beaten … is by slaying him with Rhongomyniad."
There were several grim looks shared between the group as they absorbed this realisation. Due to Vortigern's initial action of sealing Marineford off in its own pocket dimension, they had cut off Arthuria's ability to aid them with the Sacred Lance entirely.
"So basically, we're stuck until we figure out something else?"
"It would seem so," Artoria said sadly only for a loud groan to startle them all.
Artoria … You truly are pathetic!
"Did you all hear that voice," Natsu said as everyone looked toward Artoria who had gone as white as a sheet. "Artoria?"
You can't be trusted to do anything, can you!
Everyone was startled to see Deadly Nightshade begin to sprout from the ruined earth as a swarm of dark blue butterflies began to manifest. Emerging from the swarm was a beautiful woman wearing rather revealing robes and holding onto a large staff that looked strangely familiar.
The woman's face was covered by a veil however that quickly vanished to reveal … Arthuria!?
"You! What are you doing here," Artoria snarled as she pointed Excalibur in her direction. "You're part of Tiberius Squad!"
Natsu quickly realized that Artoria's deduction was indeed correct. The woman before him was in fact the unidentified Caster Class Servant that had been up alongside Tiberius and his other Servants, a fact made even clearer as he noticed Tiberius wasn't laughing anymore and now seemed rather annoyed.
"I'm not here to help you," Caster huffed in response as she turned toward Vortigern who seemed equally as surprised to see her there. "If there is anyone fit to rule Britain then it is I, not this failed Warlock!"
"You would turn against the World Government and the winning side just because of my wish to rule Britannia," Vortigern asked in disbelief. "Are you mad!?"
"Oh no, I would have been content to sit on the sidelines for the majority of this petty conflict," Caster replied calmly, only for her eyes to suddenly grow as cold as ice as a magical power unlike anything he'd ever felt before smashed down onto the battlefield. "That was, until you decided to slay Mordred."
"So … I see, that's how it is then," Vortigern laughed as he faced down the powerful magic user. "But even you must be aware that not even your darkest arts stand a chance against mine own!?"
"Perhaps not," Caster admitted before looking back to Artoria with contempt. "Be that as it may, it appears that without competent help this endeavour of destroying you is doomed to fail!"
Caster's eyes moved toward the Greater Grail, more specifically toward the crack in it that was leaking a miniscule amount of power. Her eyes lit up ever so slightly as a plan formed in her mind of how to take down Vortigern.
"Natsu darling," Caster said in a much softer and nicer tone than what she'd addressed any of the others with thus far. "I know for the moment we are enemies, but I ask that you trust me. Can you do that?"
Under normal circumstances, he wouldn't trust anyone tied to Tiberius or his bastard of a Master. There could be any number of hidden agendas up her sleeve or she could just be waiting for an opportunity to kill him?
And yet, without his ability to devour the Chaos and Apocalypse felt by the world due to Vortigern's spell, he was left with little choice. So, with that in mind, he nodded slowly.
Caster seemed to smile at that and, he had to admit, it was a beautiful one. With one swift movement, she'd vanished and Artoria was knocked clean on her back as the Knight of the Round scrambled to action.
"Don't bother," Caster sneered at them before softening as she looked at Gawain. "I just wanted to take a cheap shot at that bitch before I got to work. Remember, once I do this, I want to see Vortigern DEAD!"
"And just what exactly do you plan on doing," Natsu asked as calmly as he could as she revealed she'd taken the Greater Grail. "I think now that you hold that I need to stress that I NEED to know what you're doing!"
"Don't worry, I'm just having a bit of fun at my disgusting Uncle's expense," Caster grinned, throwing Natsu off as she started to channel a large amount of power directly into the Grail itself.
"STOP," Vortigern roared as he launched himself into the air with his sword poised to strike her.
Vortigern was halted in his tracks by Natsu who blocked his strike with Clarent as both dropped back down to the ground, creating small craters where they landed. Readjusting Clarent, Natsu charged forward with Vortigern doing the same almost a second later.
"That reaction alone is all the proof I need that whatever she's doing means your death!"
"You fool," Vortigern roared as the two crossed blades once again. "You cannot trust that Black Witch!"
"I don't care if she ends up casting this world into complete and total darkness," Natsu laughed in response, shocking Vortigern enough to where he was promptly staggered and sent stumbling backward. "As long as I can see you dead, let this place burn!"
Vortigern tried performing a horizontal slash however Natsu slid under it and sliced at Vortigern's exposed torso, latching his foot onto Vortigern's armoured leg so that he could spin around him and take several more slashes at him before spinning on his back and blocking several stab attacks in response.
Rolling back onto his feet, he angled his body to the left to avoid another attack and launched himself at Vortigern, stabbing him through the shoulder which had the man stumbling backward once again.
"Damn cretin!"
Swinging his blade to try and tag him, Natsu ducked to avoid his head being cut off before yanking his blade free and kicking Vortigern in the right knee, forcing the Berserker down to one leg.
Vortigern released a torrent of darkness around himself in response to being staggered in such a manner, blasting Natsu away into the air where he found himself facing the sky. Gripping Clarent tightly, he slowly turned around as he fell and with a roar, swung Clarent as hard as he could.
Vortigern was about to launch a spell at Caster but right at it was about to be released, Natsu sliced his arm off at the shoulder. The Berserker didn't even flinch however and, as Natsu immediately performed a spin attack to try and slash Vortigern's armoured head, he grabbed the blade portion of Clarent and kicked Natsu in the knees to knock him flat on his back.
Natsu grit his teeth as he found himself on his back, Clarent pressed to his throat as the Berserker tried to cleave his head off with his own weapon. The two were clearly struggling against one another as Vortigern's helmet faded away to reveal a furious set of Blood Red eyes and a corrupted face snarling at him.
"You face my dark, your life is done," Vortigern snarled through gnashed teeth as Natsu's fatigue started to catch up to him as the blade managed to just clip his neck, drawing blood. "I'll send you to join your precious Mordred!"
Just as Natsu felt the blade beginning to slice into his throat, the sound of an armoured figure approaching drew his attention. He could tell Vortigern hadn't heard it since his rage was clearly now solely focused on him specifically so he hoped it was Artoria or one of the Round who'd come to save him.
/Servant State Of Eden – Same Time/
"This isn't good, we can't get a single read from inside that sphere of darkness," Lord Melloi sighed as he took a drag from his cigarette. "Actually, we can't read anything in that entire area …"
"You saw who did it, didn't you," Arthuria growled as she looked over toward a group of disgruntled Casters. "I demand to be deployed to the front immediately!"
"We can't do that and you know it," one of the Casters snapped back only for Arthuria's power to wash over the room. "STOP THAT!"
"You really need to relax King Of Knights," a cocky voice laughed as all eyes turned toward one of the many thrones in the Hall Of Kings.
"Have you too lost your mind, King Of Uruk!? Vortigern is a King far beyond anything we've got deployed down there! Even with every last person there taking him on he could very well slay them all!"
"I don't think you quite understand what I'm saying, but I'll humour you," Gilgamesh laughed as he seemed to stare off into space. "Yes … I do think that things will be perfectly fine without our interference."
Arthuria was about to respond but noticed that the grin Gilgamesh held wasn't one of smug superiority, or that usual teasing one he held. No, this one was different.
He seemed to be genuinely happy.
Likewise, looking over at Ozymandias, the Sun King was likewise looking off into a seemingly random direction with an almost savage grin on his face. Now she knew for sure something was amiss.
Looking toward Merlin's position, she was shocked to see him gently smiling in her direction already, as if he had foreseen her own desire to seek his reaction.
"Merlin-?"
"It will be fine, as always," the Mage Of Flowers replied as he assumed his adult form. "Yes, I do think that the end result of this will be something of great joy …"
It was then that she felt it, the strange wriggle of excitement running through her. It wasn't her own excitement though, mind you. No, this excitement came from her companion that had cemented her own position as one of the most legendary Kings in existence.
But what was this excitement?
/Marineford Bay – Same Time/
"This is where you die Dragneel! You won't get out of this one," Vortigern hissed as the blade pressed deeper into his throat. "DIE!"
To Natsu's shock and relief, an armoured hand grabbed Vortigern by the hair and yanked him off. The Berserker was so shocked by this action that he barely had the time to spin around and watch what Natsu was witnessing.
When he had heard the armoured footsteps, he had assumed that it was one of the Round or Artoria coming to save him. Now however, it was clear that he couldn't have been more wrong.
What he was seeing now was something unfathomable as a hovering, armor clad hand gripped Vortigern by the hair. The signature golden particles associated with that of a Servant exploded out of it as more and more of the arm was manifested.
What followed was a tall, curvaceous figure that was fully clad in silver and red armor manifesting right before him. They donned a red and blue cloak with white fur around the collar. However, the helmet of the armoured figure made him do a double take as it looked like he was facing an armoured Dragon with glowing emerald eyes gazing down at him from within its sockets.
Wait … Emerald?
Vortigern was suddenly kicked in the head and sent flying away into the rampart walls for the umpteenth time, this time by the armour-clad figure who looked down at Natsu once again.
There was a tense silence as Natsu managed to rise slowly into a sitting position. The armour-clad figure held out their hand as Clarent was forcefully yanked away from him and into the possession of this mysterious warrior.
Looking at the figure, he noticed there was a faint glow coming from where the figure's stomach would normally be. The figure seemed to notice his examination and finally decided to speak.
"Tell me … Am I still worthy?"
Whatever he'd expected the figure to say, that certainly wasn't it as they took a hesitant step closer. The armoured figure knelt down to his level as the sound of clicking hinted that they were about to remove their helmet.
The helmet seemed to expand slightly as the figure reached up and removed it, revealing a sight that had Natsu almost breaking down into tears on the spot.
"Mordred," he managed to croak out as the equally as teary-eyed girl fully removed her helmet, revealing her once shaggy blonde hair was now significantly longer and was more like a lion's made than hair as it fell all around her neck.
"I know I failed you," Mordred said as she gently wiped the blood away from his neck. "But if you'd still have me, I'd love for you to be my Master again?"
"Mordred …"
"I can understand if you don't want me though-!"
"Shut up you idiot," Natsu cut in as he placed a hand on her right cheek and kissed her deeply, the Command Spells on his arm lighting up once more to indicate that he had taken her as his Servant.
The two separated after several moments, their eyes never once parting as they both panted. Natsu was the first to break it however as he playfully ruffled her now overly long hair, much to her chagrin.
"OI!"
"You've gotten older," he laughed as Mordred swatted his hand away. "Much older, actually."
"I'm definitely not a dumb kid anymore, at least not at heart!"
"How," Natsu began as he gestured toward her new form. "How did …?"
"I'm not a hundred percent sure how this happened, but I remember meeting an old friend on the throne who said I was being given a second chance and after a bright light I woke up to see that asshole trying to kill you."
Mordred pulled Natsu to his feet which was the moment everyone truly realized just how different this Mordred was to the old one. Yes, she was currently armoured from head to toe, but now that she stood next to Natsu they got a better idea of the difference.
She was now the same height as him in his enhanced form.
"Wow … this Mordred might be as tall as Raikou," Ritsuka blurted out only to blush as Mordred and Natsu looked over in his direction. "Sorry …"
"Don't worry about it," Mordred grinned as she looked over toward Natsu with a sultry smirk. "I know he likes them a little older anyway …"
"Don't do this to me now Mordred … shit."
"A true man of culture," Gawain cried as he, Lancelot and Tristan all dropped to their knees with tears in their eyes. "Natsu understands the way!"
"Truly he proves he walks upon the chosen path," Lancelot added.
"I cry, yet not tears of sadness," Tristan sighed joyfully only for Artoria to wack all three of them over the back of the head. "Ah … such joyous pain!"
Ignoring the three, Mordred's grin slowly faded as she looked over at Artoria who clearly knew something the rest didn't. The two simply nodded at one another as Artoria brought the group back to reality.
"Mordred."
"Yes Father?"
"That form. I believe you will be capable of defeating Vortigern?"
"Naturally."
Everyone was shocked at how casually Mordred replied to Artoria's question, a reasonable reaction considering she'd been killed by the man a mere hour prior. Mordred however continued to match the blank stare of Artoria until finally … the unthinkable happened.
Artoria smiled.
"Very well, we shall leave Vortigern to you. Do not fail."
"Relax, I don't know the meaning of it," Mordred grinned in response which elicited a raised eyebrow in turn.
"So, your reign was long I take it?"
"Very long. So long in fact that I believe my desire to be King has been all but satiated. I know I am King, so now I must look toward newer prospects."
"Such as?"
"Such as slaying the trash who would harm my Queen," Mordred responded in kind as she turned around to face Vortigern who finally decided to reappear after having regenerated his missing arm.
"Usually, I'd counter being called a Queen, but considering how jacked you probably are under there Mordred I have to say I'm probably a lucky bastard," Natsu joked which earned him a savage grin in kind.
"Its alright, we can have all the time to learn that later," Mordred grinned as Clarent seemed to increase in length to match her size. "For now, I've got a relic to bury."
"I must say I'm shocked to see that after all the bluster from Uther's spawn, she decided to summon another version of you," Vortigern scoffed as he started releasing his power. "A failure of a Knight, no matter the timeline!"
"Ah, but that's where you're wrong," Mordred grinned as monstrous power exploded from her from as Clarent began to glow in a golden light. "I'm Servant, Ruler, and I'm a King!"
Servant Of Natsu Dragneel
Former King Of Mordrinian Britain
Founder Of The British Empire
The Last Pendragon
King Of Knights
King Of Realignment
Mordred Pendragon (Ruler)
Bounty – 320,000,000 Berries (Outdated)
"Prepare yourself Vortigern, I don't play nice with those who hold evil intentions toward my Empire," Mordred cried as she charged forward, clashing with Vortigern who seemed shocked at the strength behind her attack.
"Such power!? But how!?"
"Because fuck you, that's how," Mordred grinned savagely as she pushed Vortigern back.
The battle to escape the bay now reaches its apex as the Allied Forces prepare to make their move. All that remains is for King Mordred to slay King Vortigern, however both sides have yet to reveal their full power.
Will this new Mordred be enough or will Vortigern's Vile Darkness be able to overcome this new Mordred? Only time will be able to tell this one!
Ok guys so I've done the insane and made MILF Mordred. If you're looking for design inspiration for what she looks like basically she's a wilder version of Arthuria or if you haven't seen what she looks like look up Lancer Artoria.
That being said though, the armor for this Mordred is something that will change over time since this is her first ascension form. This has been something I've had planned for her for so long and I'm so glad I finally managed to get here! To be honest though, I initially had her written to be killed off by Assassin Of The Church but I think this works just as well.
The bay section of Marineford ends next chapter then we get onto the Execution Plaza portion of Marineford so hope you guys are keen!
Anyway, hope you all enjoyed and I'll see you in the next one where I'll have Mordred's new Servant details!
