Hi guys Azza here!

So real quick we've surpassed Volume I's chapter count for the second time! WOOHOO!

Ok, moving on haha!

Reviews

Emerald Rose nee Potter – Welcome back, I did notice your absence since you often were one of the first to drop a review so welcome back!

Massive reviews like this from people coming back always bring a grin to my face especially when they're so clearly full of excitement! I won't really go too in depth on the points because I'd probably drabble on like usual and hit chapter length so I'll basically just say there's so many of these moments to come and I'm glad you're back and can't wait for you to experience them with us!

I will address your last point though, I'm so glad I was able to inspire you to get stuck into writing again! Trust me when I say I know first hand about life getting in the way since as of recently I've had issues uploading on a consistent basis.

As for comparing yours to mine, definitely don't. Every story is its own unique entity that bears the writers heart and soul, mine won't compare to yours and vice versa. There isn't anything to do with calibre, only passion!

If it takes you a week, month or year, just keep at it and know that there will always be people who will be excited for that upload. At the end of the day writing fanfic is YOUR means of expressing your passion for something so we can all gush about it haha!

Anyway keen to see you around again!

JGreen039 – Ok so I can't really answer some of this since its spoilery but yes Natsu will attain Ultra Instinct though the Dragon Ball Verse isn't going to be Volume IV though it's getting closer.

As for your question regarding Smoker, what Natsu did was more showing off than anything else. When he inhaled the smoke then shot it at Smoker to injure him, he infused it with Aura which can definitively harm Logia Users.

Also, he had solidified the element itself from smoke into the ash residing within the smoke before shooting it at him thereby in One Piece terms making it a separate element via technicality.

If Smoker faced his own Element and it was just smoke he would be able to absorb it or just glide through it, its why he literally carries like a hundred cigars to begin with because he can use them to his advantage. Natsu though identified that almost immediately and basically taught Smoker a lesson about making it so obvious and basically humbled his ass haha!

Hope that helped!

Anyway onto the story!

I do not own Fairy Tail, One Piece or the Nasuverse.

Grand Wizard Battle

/Execution Plaza – Natsu's POV/

Crack.

Right as Makarov was about to fire Fairy Glitter at point blank range, Natsu's left leg had basically snapped from his side to mid-kick faster than Makarov could react. The result was Makarov's arm bearing the attack being struck, the attack being knocked off course and deploying just outside Marineford.

A massive pillar of light exploded, blinding most of Marineford as it parted the ocean around it. The attack shook the entire area as it went off however this was all the opportunity Natsu needed for a solid counterattack.

"I had a feeling you could wield all three spells," Natsu hummed as his body was enveloped by the clouds around his wrists and ankles. "But don't forget that I too know all three and even made improvements to their design!"

Makarov tried striking Natsu however his attack simply went through Natsu's form as if his real body was just part of the cloud. Before he could retract his fist he suddenly cried out in pain as volts tore through his body, rendering him temporarily immobile.

Natsu seized this moment and vanished with the sound of thunder, reappearing right behind Makarov and landing a solid kick to his back, sending him flying into the earth below. Upon impact, a significant portion of the area was folded inward, causing more casualties for the World Government forces as a result.

"In this form I'm lightning incarnate, you'll need a lot more than the three great Fairy Tail spells if you want to win against me now … Makarov!"

Makarov shot out of the crater; the signs of battle damage evident with his spiky blonde hair stained red with blood. He was panting slightly, still likely reeling from his spell basically being lazily deflected at point blank range and his eyes were narrowed, no doubt pissed off at Natsu's rather laid-back attitude toward the fight.

"I stand by my earlier statement, this is all just a game to you Natsu," Makarov growled as he landed next to the crater with Natsu appearing at the tail end of a lightning bolt.

"This isn't a game to me Makarov, this is a war. I'm not stupid enough to play games here when an innocent young man's life is on the line," Natsu replied calmly as he looked over toward the Execution Platform to see that the two executioners had reached its peak. "That being said, now would be a very good time to prove it."

Dropping down to all fours, Makarov braced himself for impact but felt nothing. Almost immediately, he spun around to see a massive horizontal bolt of red lightning smash against the Magic Circle Barrier protecting the Execution Platform.

The attack struck with such force that everyone behind it who wasn't strong enough found themselves blasted back from the impact, the two executioners quite literally being flung off of it and into Marine Headquarters where they were promptly turned into a red smear on the wall.

Sengoku looked pissed, some of Tiberius Squad had a good laugh about it and the Admirals remained reserved about it. The two Generals remaining had rather amusing reactions however with Esdeath basically looking like she was fighting off an orgasm and Archer Of The Rhine cackling like a maniac, her facial features so twisted it actually frightened some of the other high ranking officers.

Once the two executioners had been dealt with, the bolt of lightning suddenly bounced off of the barrier and shot toward Makarov who had already formed a Three-Layered Magic Circle in front of him.

Natsu bounced off of the Magic Circle and reformed into his Draconic form mid reflect, taking a deep breath as Makarov slid his right leg backward and coated himself in a golden aura.

"Thunder Dragon Monarch's Roar!"

Releasing a powerful wave of lightning as he was shot away by the Magic Circle, it split off into five bolts of lightning that looked like they were slicing through the air as they moved to surround Makarov.

"Impressive, you've certainly surpassed Laxus' ability of the Thunder Dragon Slaying Magic," Makarov hummed as his eyes gained a golden hue to them. "But don't think I'll be defeated so easily! True Heavenly Body Magic – Meteor!"

Makarov vanished in a burst of light right as the five bolts reconnected into one, setting off a massive explosion that shook the entire area. Natsu had already raised his right leg to block a punch from Makarov, a sadistic smirk on his face that flashed his razor-sharp teeth to his foe.

"That's it, this is what I missed from back home," Natsu laughed as his body seemingly jerked violently before stabilizing mid kick at Makarov's head.

Makarov vanished again and reappeared in the air high above Natsu whilst concluding the creation of another attack, another pattern already having been drawn in the air with his index and middle finger.

"True Heavenly Body Magic – Antares!"

Natsu grinned as the area within the pattern solidified and the entire thing shot toward him, rapidly expanding in size to create a soldi wall of light. He knew why Makarov had tried Antares; it was an 'area of effect' attack designed to simply pin down anything too fast for the caster to handle.

It was a spell useless for anyone who couldn't fly since it required height in order for it to gain time to grow larger and Makarov certainly knew how to fly with Meteor. He felt Antares hit him full force and saw it had already grown drastically in size, laughing as it slammed him into the earth.

Makarov panted slightly as he saw the golden sheet of Antares strike the earth below. He knew this wouldn't be enough to stop Natsu however, he was simply far too powerful for such a spell to work as intended.

The sparks shooting out from the cracks in the earth were all the proof he needed as Natsu emerged mere moments after, roaring with laughter as he charged toward Makarov, his legs having turned into a red lightning bolt.

"Alright then, if that's the way you want it then Natsu, fine!"

Clapping his hands together, Makarov released even more power as a sphere of golden light manifested itself around him. Natsu didn't even relent as he began to angle his fingers, all different stages of lightning pouring from his form as he prepared his next attack.

"Spatial Magic – Magia Hyperion!"

"Lightning Dragon Monarch's Piercing Claw!"

The moment Natsu's longest nail made contact with Makarov's sphere, he felt something was off. The nail slowly began to bend before snapping off entirely however there was also some kind of force that was sucking the rest of his hand in.

And just like his nail, his entire hand started to bend before being snapped upward. However, unlike his nail, his hand once snapped upward was violently snapped downward before being twisted and turned around until it was a thin stringy mess.

Naturally, Natsu had several concerns from being caught up in an attack such as this and could easily recognize what it was doing. The space within was essentially its own space that caused true distortion, rending apart literally anything that entered its sphere of influence.

The only logical solution was to slice his entire arm off before his body was sucked into whatever Makarov had created, and so he did as such, slicing it off at the shoulder and watching as his arm was brutalized to the point it didn't even look like flesh anymore.

That being said, he was now presented with a new problem … he couldn't actually back away.

Not only that, he was actually still being sucked toward the attack and started thinking about how to best approach this new problem. Clearly Makarov was now actually trying to kill him instead of holding back for the sake of a fight and so he had a choice to make.

Does he still hold back and uphold his oath to never truly harm his family?

Does he unleash the full brunt of his power upon Makarov who had no actual control over his actions due to the demands of a Command Spell placed upon him?

Does he risk being engulfed by the attack to try and find its weakness?

"The choice is rather clear, Natsu," Ahnk hummed as Natsu looked down at his semi-regenerated arm.

"He's right Dad, you have to start using everything against Makarov," Aava agreed sadly as Natsu's consciousness moved to his mindscape.

"I swore an oath a long time ago to never actively harm family, regardless of the circumstances and Makarov is more than family … he's literally gramps."

"Be that as it may, this Makarov is a Servant and regardless of your opinions on the matter, if you don't strike him down, he will keep coming at us until we die," Ahnk replied gently as he placed a hand on Natsu's shoulder. "This isn't what Makarov wants either Natsu, this is all the Command Spell's fault."

"If we get caught up in that, your body will be torn apart on a subatomic level Dad, we'll literally be twisted and shredded apart until not even atoms remain. We need to do something and quick!"

"So, what kind of attack is it," Natsu sighed as he looked down at his clawed hands. "I didn't hear what Makarov said at the time?"

"Fortunately, I know this one, Spatial Magic – Magia Hyperion," Ahnk replied automatically as he held up his right hand to show a display of it. "Lauded as one of the primo Lost Magic Defensive Spells, Magia Hyperion creates a pocket space that blasts anything caught within the attack with pure destructive force."

"How much, specifically how much force are we talking compared to what I can do?"

"Within this small sphere itself? We're looking at the bare minimum of sixty zettatons of force being compacted in there."

"Excuse me!?"

"Like I said, for a world like Earthland, a defensive spell with planetary tier force being thrown around in there is something truly frightening and to my knowledge there isn't a single counter in Earthland's repertoire to overpower or negate it."

"So, what you're telling me is that none of my abilities will be able to do anything?"

"I did not say that," Ahnk countered immediately as he shook his head. "Because you've got something Basically no one else on Earthland has."

"Being …?"

"I'd wager that without the ability to control your power, you could likely destroy a small planet at least. From there we can deduce that an amplification to your raw power would thereby grant you planetary levels of force to rival Magia Hyperion."

"Where'd you get the glasses and lab coat from," Natsu asked, cocking his head to the side only for Ahnkseram to ignore him outright.

"Therefore, it stands to reason that if you want to escape the pull of Magia Hyperion you'll need to overwhelm it without restraining your power in the slightest."

"But Ahnk, even not doing that for a moment fucked up the continent of the Elemental Nations during my fight with Kaguya and I was weaker back then!"

"Yes, but that was your fault for slamming Kayuga into the continent to begin with. Right now we're in the air and you should be able to direct your attack skyward."

"…"

"Didn't think of that, did you?"

"…No."

"Of course you didn't, not that I blame you though," Ahnk replied with a grin as an image of Natsu's body drawing closer to the attack came up before them. "As long as you don't direct your attack anywhere other than skyward then the planet will be fine. Besides, this planet is actually much larger than average so I doubt you could destroy the whole thing … yet."

Natsu said nothing and exited his mindscape, taking a deep breath as everyone felt a shift in the air. Most of the King Servants, Leonidas and Ruler included, ceased their battles and looked up with all of them having either experienced or felt the kind of shift before and instinctively knowing what was about to happen.

Mordred was completely gobsmacked at what Natsu was about to do, but upon taking one look at the attack he was slowly being sucked into, quickly realized that it was necessary. Though she was surprised an attack from Makarov was even capable of such a thing.

Back with Natsu, his scales had slowly begun to retract as he reverted to his base form before suddenly entering his full Hybrid State. His hair fully turned black with the single Aqua Blue strand springing forth as his Aura expanded to cover most of Marineford itself.

"Natsu," Makarov gasped from within the sphere. "What in the world is this power!?"

"Honestly, knowing you had such a spell like this makes me wonder why the hell you ever lost to anybody," Natsu laughed bitterly as he opened his eyes to reveal the Pitch Black and Pure White though the white lacked an eye and was instead more of a misty haze.

Bringing his hands together, raw power from his core started to leak from his fingertips and formed a grey coloured sphere. He knew he had to be careful doing this since even a drop of it would likely blow up a small town due to the rather volatile nature of raw power.

Once he'd formed a sphere that he could easily hold in the palm of his hands, he gently floated it out of them and aimed it toward Makarov and Magia Hyperion. The man at its centre was sweating bullets as he looked at the raw power in Natsu's right hand now being aimed at him but his Command Seal orders didn't allow him to call off the fight.

"I can't even begin to tell you how dangerous doing something like this is," Natsu laughed as he looked at the swirling mass of grey. "If I were to drop this or lose focus, I'd kill billions."

"NATSU, ARE YOU FUCKING INSANE," Makarov roared from within the centre of his own attack. "I KNOW MAGIA HYPERION IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO ESCAPE BUT YOU'D DAMN EVERY LIVING BEING ON THE PLANET JUST TO TRY AND BEAT ME!?"

"Yes."

Makarov was so stunned with the near instant response he couldn't even close his jaw. Looking into the eyes of the Hybrid, he couldn't even begin to fathom the kind of power Natsu had at his disposal and how much of it he was forced to restrain on a daily basis.

But what he couldn't believe more than anything else was the lack of care in Natsu's voice when he responded. He'd known Natsu from childhood and not once had he ever suspected that someone like him could prioritize his own victory over the lives of pretty much an entire planet.

"Don't worry, once this war is over, I'll be training so I don't have to do this again," Natsu continued as if Makarov's stunned silence hadn't affected him. "I'll probably also be in a lot of trouble by both Shanks and the Council for doing this but the simple fact is I can't die here."

"Damn … Are you me," Ahnk muttered internally as Natsu prepared to fire his attack at Makarov. "That reminded me of my early years …"

Without a word, Natsu cocked back his right arm before pushing it forward, firing a solid grey blast of pure energy directly at Makarov. Everything below was knocked off of its feet with anyone who wasn't a higher being, Servant or overtly powerful person being instantly rendered blind as a massive energy wave instantly engulfed Makarov's Magia Hyperion.

The wave shot out into space but it was obvious that Magia Hyperion was still within the centre of the blast as Natsu continued to pour more and more raw power into it. Loud cracking sounds hinted that Natsu was slowly breaking through but his reserves were taking a MASSIVE hit from what he was doing.

The sound of glass shattering was Natsu's signal to immediately stop his attack, the wave ceasing as the last of it shot out into space. Makarov was still there, but he was clearly not going to last long with his entire body having been completely torn apart by the mere few seconds he'd been caught up in the attack after Magia Hyperion had been broken.

Catching the man before he fell to the ground, Natsu gently laid him down and looked down at the man he'd considered his surrogate Grandfather. Internally, he was cringing at just how brutally he'd defeated him but knew it was either him and Makarov and considering Makarov was a Servant …

"N-Natsu," Makarov wheezed as he managed to open one eye to reveal it was just barely functional. "Are you there … I-I cannot see?"

"I'm here, gramps," Natsu replied quietly as he knelt down and took the man's bloody hand.

"Ah … I-I just want you to know … something … important," Makarov gasped as he felt the aged Wizard's grip tighten.

"What is it," Natsu whispered as he leant in to hear what the former Guild Master had to say.

I'm sorry

Natsu's eyes widened as he felt something pierce through his back, through his chest and through Makarov. Looking downward, he saw that his heart had been pierced by the attack which was a solid blade of light.

Coughing up blood, he slowly inched around to look at his attacker and was shocked to see … Makarov?

"What-!?"

"You have always been an extraordinary mage, Natsu," Makarov said sadly as he retracted the blade of light and slowly descended to the ground. "But you've never fared well when it came to deception tactics."

"How," Natsu gasped as he turned around to see the Makarov he'd thought he killed slowly dissolve into light particles.

"True Heavenly Body Magic – Pleiades," Makarov replied in a sombre tone as Natsu exited his Hybrid state and collapsed fully whilst clutching his chest.

"Duplication Magic," he wheezed as more blood escaped his mouth.

"All I needed to do was make the illusion so real you'd neglect on even considering it a possibility," Makarov continued as he stopped several feet before the downed Hybrid. "I split myself in two right after I pinned you down with Antares, using your excitement at the battle against you. I then cast the highest tier Transformation Magic I possess and turned into a sword and hid amidst the battlefield below until after I ordered my duplicate to use Magia Hyperion and, once they did, I knew you would do something drastic in order to escape it."

Natsu could only laugh at Makarov's explanation. He'd not only fooled him, but Aava and Ahnkseram as well. None of them had even remotely suspected Makarov of even being capable of deceiving them and that was what had brought about this entire scenario.

Ahnk was shocked speechless, Aava merely silently contemplating the masterful play against them. Both however were thoroughly embarrassed at having missed the switch and knew that they were in deep shit now as a result.

With Natsu having used a vast majority of his reserves to fire the raw energy wave at Magia Hyperion, he was dangerously low in the tank. He had enough to regenerate his heart but Makarov was still here and clearly, he had a lot left in him to go.

Not only that though, many World Government eyes were now on his fallen form with some even beginning to approach which meant he was in quite the pickle.

"Hehe … I never in a million years would've ever expected a play like that from you, Makarov," Natsu laughed hoarsely as he struggled to rise to his knees. "Sure they don't call you the 'Fairy Tactician' you old bastard?"

"I knew that I'd lose fighting a direct battle with you so I was prepared to do whatever was necessary to win. Before this battle even began, I had already prepared strategies on how to take you on if the need ever arose."

"You should be proud," Natsu chuckled darkly as he looked out at the sea of World Government forces who were now approaching them. "You pulled one over on me when not even these chumps could with their fancy Devil Fruits and Haki. Honestly, my respect for you has only grown stronger, gramps."

"You know what I have to do now, don't you?"

"Oh yeah, I know," Natsu replied softly as Makarov reformed the blade of light once again and pointed it at him. "Hehehehe …"

Makarov said nothing as he spun around and made to chop off his head. To the complete shock of everyone however, Natsu managed to drop down and avoid the attack before somehow launching to his feet and sprinting at the now shellshocked Makarov.

"HAAAARGH!"

Landing a fierce headbutt on the former Guild Master, everyone heard the sickening crunch as Makarov's nose was broken and the man stumbled backward in shock.

"Impossible … HOW CAN YOU STILL FIGHT!?"

"You might have managed to pull the wool over my eyes, but you've clearly forgotten one thing," Natsu laughed, even as blood continued to pour from his mouth and the stab wounds on his back and chest. "I'm me!"

Makarov was frozen in shock at Natsu's statement, so much so that he wasn't even prepared for Natsu to staggeringly sprint toward him and throw a punch that rocked him back to reality. The attack struck him on the left side of the face and sent him stumbling even further backward as the cowardly World Government troops who had approached all but fled in terror at the monster before them.

"It'll take a lot more than me being low on reserves and a bit wounded to kill me Makarov," Natsu laughed as he wiped some of the blood from his mouth and clenched his now bloody fists. "Let me show you!"

Charging toward Makarov, the man this time had enough of his scattered brain together to block the punch before throwing one back of his own. Natsu didn't even bother to block it and instead let the man smack him across the left side of the mouth before stumbling forward and delivering a fierce uppercut.

"That's it Makarov, don't hold back just because its me! If I'm gonna be forced to fight family then we'll do it properly!"

Receiving a right hook for his words, Natsu stumbled backward before receiving a blow to the gut that had him cough up more blood. As Makarov went in for a third blow, Natsu blocked it with his left elbow and grabbed the arm with his right.

Grabbing Makarov's arm, he dragged the man forward and delivered another powerful headbutt however this time he aimed for the teeth, knocking several out in the process as Makarov gasped in pain.

Receiving a fierce blow to the ribs, Natsu stumbled back before clenching his fist and smacking Makarov in the chest, knocking the wind out of him right as he landed a blow on Natsu's chin.

Both stumbled backward, now bloody from the brutal exchange however both sent equally bloody smirks toward one another as they slowly started to stagger forward.

"Makarooooov!"

"Natsuuuuuuuu!"

Both men clenched their fists, Makarov's right coming from above and Natsu's coming in from below as both struck each other across the face with as much strength as they could muster.

Both refused to budge, fists still firmly on each other's cheeks as they continued to push against the other even as blood began seeping through the gaps in their front teeth. Low grunting was the only sound anyone nearby could hear as the two men struggled against one another however they both soon dropped to their knees and tried to headbutt each other at the same time, knocking each other onto their backs.

"Fuck," Natsu hissed as he gripped his hair in his hands, a sharp pain running through his head as Makarov mimicked the action. "Fucking fuck!"

Both men rolled onto their fronts and looked at one another. There was a silent exchange between them as they got to their knees and crawled toward each other before throwing another set of punches that smacked the other in the nose.

"How the hell can you still find the strength to fight Natsu," Makarov gasped as they both tried to push the other over whilst simultaneously using each other to get back to their feet.

"You forget," Natsu laughed as they pushed each other away and clenched their fists. "Even back when I was new to my powers, I got stabbed through the heart by Phyrra and lived so why wouldn't I now!?"

"You had your reserves back then!"

"Who says I'm a hundred percent done now?"

Makarov seemed to contemplate this answer before shaking his head and clenching his fists once again. In the end, it didn't really matter. Right now, the only thing that mattered was his order to kill Natsu and that's exactly what he would do.

"Oi," Natsu muttered as he grinned toward the former Master. "Let's finish this up."

"Yeah," Makarov muttered as Natsu started sucking in something from the air around them. "What …?"

"The chaos here is rather tasty now," Natsu muttered back as he seemed to absorb it from all across the Execution Plaza. "Let's settle this Makarov, not as enemies, but as proud members of Fairy Tail!"

"Fine, since there's only one spell left in my arsenal that will likely have any effect on you," Makarov began as his form started to rapidly expand. "We'll end this here and now!"

"Heh, busting out the Gigantification Magic now," Natsu grinned as he ceased devouring the chaos around them and used some of it to fully regenerate his insides. "Guess there's only one thing that can follow it, huh?"

Bringing his now massive hands together, the towering form of Makarov loomed over the battlefield and began to form an attack Natsu knew all too well. Rays of light began to shine down upon the battlefield as everyone watched on in a mixture of shock and awe.

"You've left me with little choice but to use this spell Natsu," Makarov's voice boomed as he finished forming his attack. "Even with the power you've managed to scrounge back up, you won't survive being struck directly by it!"

"Ah yes, that would definitely be true," Natsu grinned as he slowly started to fly up to match the height of Makarov's gaze. "Under normal circumstances I should be on death's door, even after consuming an element to get some power back."

Makarov's eyes widened as Natsu went through familiar motions and began forming a replica of his own attack, only this one was silver in colouration and had the symbol of the Hybrid at its core instead of Fairy Tail.

"But you see, as we've already established, normal doesn't really apply to me. Devouring chaos is a rarity you see, so naturally it is far more potent than the elemental variety since it's a whole tier above on the proverbial scaling tree!"

Rays of silver light began to clash with the golden ones as Natsu's attack finished forming, Makarov no longer feeling confident in his actions whilst Natsu hovered across from him with his usual grin firmly in place.

"Not to re-enact a scene from decades ago, but this is rather familiar, isn't it?"

"You do realize that unlike that time, I have no choice but to deploy my attack despite the countless people around us who will likely die as a direct result?"

"I'm aware."

"And you would still go through with it?"

"Yes."

"I see … Then there is little more for us to discuss then, is there?"

"Oh, there's plenty," Natsu replied immediately. "But not as you are now, but one day."

"Very true," Makarov nodded as he moved his hands around the sphere. "Are you prepared?"

"Very," Natsu replied as he went through the same motions.

"Noble Phantasm Release-!"

"Hybrid-!"

"Fairy-!"

"LAW!"

Both men brought their palms together, activating their respective attacks as two powerful magics almost immediately smashed into one another. Gold and Silver light pillars erupted around them and began to expand outward, shaking not just Marineford, but the entire section of the planet the pillars were currently active.

Thousands perished instantly on both sides as the chaotic effects of the two attacks smashing into one another tore the place apart. To Makarov's shock however, Fairy Law was being outright devoured by Hybrid Law and it was at that moment he knew he'd lost from the beginning.

He should have realized that Natsu's was an improved upon version of the original which he himself had only learnt a variant of from Mavis who in turn wielded a bastardized version of Zeref's.

The silver light quickly engulfed both him and his attack, his massive body being ripped apart by the will of the caster. It was at this moment that Makarov knew the fight was over as the will of the Command Seal all but vanished.

"So … that's how it is then," Makarov hummed as his body slowly started to turn into golden particles. "I don't know if you can hear me through all this Natsu, but I want you to hear this."

Unbeknownst to Makarov, Natsu was in fact listening with a stony expression as he continued to let his attack rip the man apart.

"Though you have indeed grown far stronger since we last spoke face to face, you've lost something far greater than power reserves and knowledge thanks to the Ravine Of Time," Makarov muttered as his body started to fully fade. "Don't forget about the time you too were human, Natsu. Don't forget that feeling of mortality and remember …

Your actions could turn you into the next Achnologia

Natsu's eyes widened as Makarov faded away, the man's words piercing his heart far worse than anything he'd physically taken before as he replayed the last sentence over and over in his mind.

Ahnk and Aava had nothing for him. In truth, all three of them knew exactly what he meant by that statement and it hurt them all, each in their own way.

If there was one thing Makarov was good at it was giving advice, even to those far older and wiser than himself. In that last moment, perhaps he had delivered the greatest advice he could have possibly given considering the circumstances and it made Natsu reflect on his actions in the war up until that point and it was doing so that made him realize something.

He knew he wasn't Achnologia, he wasn't selfish and cruel to the extent the Apocalypse Dragon King was. But reflecting on his recent actions had him realize how Makarov had come to such a conclusion and why he had decided to make those his final words to him.

The torture of those he disliked.

The unrestrained scale of destruction he'd unleashed upon the battlefield so casually.

The brutality he showed toward his foes despite knowing the majority had little knowledge of the greater workings of the World Government.

All these things and more now ran through his mind, so much so in fact that he hadn't even noticed that the battle had resumed down below.

"It seems Makarov Dreyar has taught you a valuable lesson, Natsu."

Slowly looking upward, he saw Tim looking at him with a neutral gaze. Reluctantly, he sighed and shook his head.

"What is it, Tim?"

"We need to have a talk," the Primordial replied as they appeared right in the centre of the chaos with no one registering their presence.

The moment this happened Natsu knew this would not be a pleasant talk, so he sighed once more and prepared himself.

"Alright Tim, let's hear it."

Noble Phantasms:

Fairy Sphere – EX (Anti Unit – Self)

A spell designed to shroud the caster and those around them within a sphere of light, transporting them and their surroundings to an alternate time space.

The spell lasts until the user runs out of power, does not age anyone within the spell for its duration aside from the caster and holds no known counter.

A spell designed to protect rather than attack or contain, only known to Masters of the Fairy Tail Guild.

"This is one of the three great spells known to all Guild Masters. You can rest soundly knowing that not even the darkest evil shall find us!"

Fairy Glitter – EX (Anti Unit/Anti Evil)

A spell designed to deny the existence of one's foes by harnessing merciless light to eradicate the enemy.

It is a spell so powerful it can even harm ethereal beings and harnesses the power of the sun, moon and stars in its use, perhaps owing to its sheer destructive capability.

Despite this, it takes great concentration to execute the spell and even the most veteran of mages if distracted can fail to deploy the spell correctly.

"This is one of the three great spells known to all Guild Masters. If ever the need arises, rest soundly knowing that you can protect our family with punishing light!"

Fairy Law – EX (Anti Army/Anti Country)

A spell designed to envelop an area in radiant light.

The attack inflicts fatal damage upon all those the target deems as an enemy yet leaves those who the caster's heart determined as allies or friends completely unharmed.

Theoretically, it is a spell that should have no upper limit yet the Fairy Law variant is but a modified strain of the original and the more people actively targeted, a greater drain upon the caster's lifespan will take its toll.

"This is one of the three great spells known to all Guild Masters. This spell is our ace, our final resort when all hope seems lost!"

Well, hope you all enjoyed! We're getting through Marineford and should be done soon; not before certain things though so can't wait to get there with you all!

Hope I concluded the fight alright, I was a bit wary of giving Makarov too much so I basically decided to draw off of what Magic I know for sure he actually can use and go from there.

Elemental Magic wouldn't have done jack against Natsu so I figured twisting Light Magic into the Heavenly Body Magics was a neat idea and giving him a new Spatial Magic spell that had serious weight behind it was a good plan.

Anyway keen for feedback and looking forward to seeing you all in the next one!
