Hi guys Azza here!
Almost at the timeskip guys, not many chapters to go now! The next few chapters will be fewer than 5k words I think since they will be a series of Where Are They Now type chapters focusing on the other members of the crew and where they ended up.
Not decided exactly how big each one will be however as you'll come to see each is necessary since they will almost all diverge from canon with the exception of Zoro and Sanji to a lesser extent. Robin for example will have a completely different scenario than canon, as will Brook.
Also, I'm playing One Piece Odyssey and I'm going to be incorporating it into an arc toward the very end of the story but instead of it being like the story where they relive memories from various Arcs in One Piece, I have a much different way of using it which I don't doubt some of you guys will figure out if you've played it and understand the possibilities Memoria has on someone like … let's say Natsu.
But anyway, that's for the future, for now onto the story!
I do not own Fairy Tail, One Piece or the Nasuverse.
Ninja Meet Pirate
/? – Luffy's POV/
The faint sound of amicable chatter was the first thing Luffy heard as he slowly regained consciousness. His mind was almost immediately assaulted with what had happened back at Marineford, tears springing to his still closed eyes as the usually cheerful Captain struggled to stifle a whimper.
"Sounds like he's regained consciousness," a soft yet also somewhat plain feminine voice muttered quietly, bringing Luffy's priorities screeching back to the present as his jumbled brain remembered how he ended up unconscious to begin with.
Almost immediately, the man sprang to his feet, seemingly startling one of his captors as he leapt across the room before collapsing to one knee in pain.
"Agh-!? Damn, my legs!"
"You really shouldn't be jumping around like that in your condition," the feminine voice reprimanded lightly as Luffy focused his attention in their direction, eyes widening slightly.
Before him was a blue haired woman, pale skin and deep orange-coloured eyes dressed in a simple white sundress. She was beautiful, that much couldn't be denied, however it was not the reason for his surprise.
The woman had a hand resting on her stomach, clearly rather late into a pregnancy.
"Shit-! I didn't hurt you when I jumped up like that, did I," Luffy gasped as the woman looked between the man himself and where his gaze was currently resting before letting out a soft giggle.
"Not at all. Though you startled me a little, you weren't close enough to bump into me on your way up."
"Oh good," Luffy sighed in relief as the tension seemed to leave the room somewhat. "I just saw your stomach and-!"
"Its quite alright. Actually, I'm glad you had that as your first reaction," the woman replied with a gentle smile. "My partner could learn a thing or two from you."
"Partner," Luffy asked confusedly before his last waking memory struck him in the head full force, eliciting a pained wince from the man. "Y-you mean-!?"
"Yeah. My idiotic lover dropped you here about an hour ago before heading off into town," the woman replied, cutting off his stuttering. "Oh, but where are my manners, you wouldn't have a clue who I am even though I know all about you!"
The Assistant Of The Elemental Nations
Former Co-Leader Of The Akatsuki Organisation
An Angel Amidst Devils
Konan Uzumaki-Namikaze
"Y-you're his Assistant AND his Wife," Luffy replied, completely shocked as the woman stifled another giggle at his comical expression.
"Initially, we were just co-workers, but after a year or so things evolved," came the amused response as Luffy slowly moved and sat back down where he'd been laying earlier. "I won't bore you with specifics but yes, the current Lord is indeed my partner in all things."
"Wow … I guess all Assistants seem to go that way," Luffy muttered which earned him another bout of giggles from Konan. "Come on, its true!"
"Whilst it does happen, it isn't as common as you might think. Some Assistants and their Lords aren't as compatible in the romance department, especially from some of the more … difficult realities. I don't know if Natsu has spoken much about some of the denizens up in Equilibrius but a good example is Lord Onaga and his current Assistant Sheeva."
"Do they not like each other?"
"Theirs from what I've heard is a rather rocky relationship at the best of times. Lord Onaga's former Assistant was a hulking brute by the name of Goro until he was killed during the war between God and Devil kind. Goro followed every order Lord Onaga gave unquestioningly, yet Sheeva does not. To her, their home realm comes before others."
"Sounds like this Onaga guy is a real prick then if he's trying to make her not look after their own world," Luffy replied with Konan not immediately responding. "I mean, Shanks would never do that to our world and just look at Natsu and how far he went for his world? Aren't they good examples of how they should be?"
"If there is one thing I've learnt ever since becoming an Assistant, Luffy, it is to not judge fellow Assistants and Lords for their actions prior to the treaty between the Gods and Devils. The time I just told you about was different, far before I was even a concept, and Lord Onaga is not the being he once was."
"Oh …"
"Anyway, back onto what I was saying," Konan sighed as she gently rubbed her belly. "Just because some Assistants form romantic attachment toward their Lords, that isn't solely the case."
"Fair enough," Luffy agreed easily with Konan looking over to the nearby clock on the wall before huffing in an annoyed manner.
"Where is he? I know for a fact that he only went to the nearby market, he should have been back by now!?"
"Am I gonna get an explanation on why he knocked me out and brought me here into your house," Luffy asked before raising his hands in a placating manner. "Not that I'm not glad to be here, it's a great house its just-!?"
"Believe me Luffy, you have every right to want answers to that question, and more," Konan sighed as she heard soft footsteps approaching the house. "Sounds like he might be home?"
"Huh? I didn't hear anyone open the door?"
"No, I can hear the footsteps down the end of the street," Konan replied casually with Luffy merely blinking in response. "Just because I'm pregnant doesn't mean I automatically lose all my skills you know?"
"S-sorry," Luffy laughed awkwardly as they both snapped their attention to the sound of the door opening.
"Konan! I'm home," a mature yet also rather cheery voice called out as they heard the door slam shut. "Sorry I'm late, figured I'd pick up a little extra from the-!"
Turning the corner, Luffy came face to face with the man who had knocked him out back on Amazon Lily. The man was almost double his height and had medium length, shaggy blonde hair with bangs that fell down just past his cheeks on either side and strange whisker marks on his cheeks. The man wore a basic orange haori with plain sandals for shoes and had both arms completely full of groceries.
"Oh, you're finally up, eh?"
Thinking logically, the response to what the man had said should have gone along the lines of responding with yes. However, what the man had failed to realise when engaging in conversation with the much younger man before him was that his name was Monkey D Luffy.
And, he was anything but logical.
Therefore, it was absolutely zero surprise to Konan when Luffy immediately cocked back his right arm and went to punch her Husband. And, logically, she would remain off to the side instead of trying to intervene since she was pregnant after all.
Definitely no other reason aside from that.
"You bastard," Luffy roared as he tried to punch the man who merely raised an eyebrow in response.
"Oi oi," the man muttered as a thick, fuzzy orange and white tail manifested itself before him, defending him from the punch. "I get that you're still probably a bit out of it but that's not really called for, is it?"
"You knocked me out and brought me to some random place," Luffy snapped before looking over to Konan. "No offense."
"None taken."
"Ehehehehe … Alright, fair point," the man sighed as he put the groceries down on a nearby table. "I was hoping you and I could have a little chat instead though, less of the whole fisticuffs thing, eh?"
Retracting his arm back to its regular size," Luffy sighed deeply before glaring at the man before him. The man simply grinned back like an idiot which only further stewed the rage inside of him.
"Fine."
"Awesome! Just let me get this stuff away first," the man replied quickly as he scooped up some of the bags and darted into the next room, leaving Luffy and Konan alone again.
"He's not what I expected … like … at all," Luffy muttered with Konan giggling in response.
"He's changed a fair bit over the years, but he's still the same deep down."
"Alright, I've got everything sorted out in there so now we can have that chat, eh Luffy?"
"I think its less of a chat and more of me wanting to know why the hell you knocked me out and took me to your world," Luffy huffed in response, the amused grin not fading in the slightest from the man across from him. "This isn't funny!"
"No no, I'm not laughing at you, I swear," the man chuckled in response. "It's just, this kinda takes me back to when I first met Natsu all those years ago!"
Lord Of The Elemental Nations
Former Student Of Natsu
Former Jinchuuriki Of The Nine Tails
The Demon Fox
Naruto Uzumaki-Namikaze
"What do you mean by that," Luffy asked as he slowly moved to take a seat opposite Naruto, Konan sliding into one on Naruto's right.
"Well, that's a pretty damn long story in of itself. Maybe I should write it all down one day? Anyway, to sum it up, I'm talking about how you remind me of myself back when he first met me!"
"I remind you … of yourself?"
"Yeah," Naruto nodded swiftly. "Loud, brash, quick to explode and had this weird cheeriness that barely ever went away!"
"Had?"
"Ouch Konan … I'm trying to act all cool here in front of Luffy!"
"I think Luffy would appreciate it if you just got to the point, considering all he's been through," Konan replied pointedly with Naruto's entire demeanour instantly shifting.
It was so quick that Luffy was taken aback by how drastic it was. Gone was the goofball, and in was the man who was giving Natsu's frown a run for its money.
"Ah yeah … Marineford. Right, that was real insensitive of me to try and skirt around it when its undoubtedly a fresh wound for you. My apologies, Luffy," Naruto said formally as he partially bowed in his seat, surprising the younger man with his sincerity as he felt his anger drain away.
"Uhh … I don't mind, honestly … I'm just a little bit out of it because of …"
"You don't have to say it aloud if you don't want to Luffy," Konan cut in gently with Luffy nodding stiffly in his seat.
"Look. I'm glad I got to meet you Naruto, and you too Konan … But I really would rather be alone right now. After everything that happened back there and now realising Natsu could have fixed everything-."
"Yeah, that's what I wanted to talk to you about," Naruto cut in with Luffy's gaze instantly hardening in response. "Please let me explain the situation to you first, then you can decide if you want nothing to do with him again!"
"He basically let my friends suffer … let his OWN friends suffer … I can't just accept that!?"
"Look Luffy, I won't deny that he probably did know where your friends all ended up and what was happening with them, but there are reasons for why he didn't interfere," Naruto began as gently as he could. "Let's start with the biggest reason though … you."
"Me!?"
"Yes Luffy. You," Naruto nodded sternly. "After all, it was you who wanted to make sure everything could be done to save Ace, wasn't it?"
"W-well yeah! But he could have just popped over to where the others were and back again in an instant like he always does," Luffy countered with Naruto shaking his head. "Why not!?"
"I know Natsu hasn't had the time to properly explain how things work, but I'll give you a condensed version. To put it simply, his hands were tied from being able to do anything to help the others due to Lady Fate."
"Lady Fate?"
"Lady Fate is the current Serving Goddess presiding over Fate itself," Konan chimed in with Luffy's eyes narrowing.
"So this … Lady Fate, she's responsible for this?"
"Well, yes and no," Naruto replied with a slight sigh. "Basically, Lady Fate is the medium through which Fate itself affects the mortal realms. Fate itself by the way being the Primordial Fate, the concept incarnate."
"You mean like how there's a Lady Time and that Tim guy who also can control Time Natsu mentioned?"
"Yeah, that's right," Naruto nodded. "By the way, the Time Primordial also had a hand in staying Natsu's hand from helping your friends."
"Really?"
"Yeah. In fact, it seems Natsu has been given a stern warning from him not to keep screwing things up that he and Lady Fate have set into motion," Naruto replied grimly with Luffy's eyes widening in shock. "From what we saw, he appeared at Marineford and threatened to erase him from existence if he kept screwing up which means now Natsu has to be very careful in what he does when helping you guys."
"He's defied two Primordials to help us," Luffy muttered more to himself than to the pair across from him who both simply nodded sadly.
"And believe me when I say that if your friends suffered hardships as a result of where they ended up, Natsu no doubt feels terrible about it," Konan added with Naruto humming in agreement.
"Yeah. Even back when he lived here in the Elemental Nations, he'd go ballistic if someone he was even distant friends with got killed. I still remember what he did to Kakuzu when he found out about Asuma …"
"Getting back to the matter at hand," Konan said as she steered the conversation back on track. "Natsu has done what he could for you Luffy, more than that, actually if you recall what he did to get you into Impel Down."
Luffy's mind flashed back to the disfigured pulpy mess that was Natsu he'd seen upon finally being let out in the fearsome prison. He had pushed that memory deep into his mind, not having the heart or the stomach to remember it. That was, until now.
"I was such a bastard to him …"
"Hey, don't worry about it too much Luffy," Naruto sighed knowingly as he reached over and gently pet the man's shoulder. "Natsu would've already known full well that you didn't have all the facts when you said what you did. He also no doubt feels terrible about not being able to help as well so if anything, don't be surprised if he still apologizes to you about it."
"Doesn't change the fact I hit him and said all that stuff after how hard he fought to help me," Luffy muttered, now fully fallen into a depressed state.
"Luffy, you weren't in the right state of mind when you said and did that," Konan said as she got up and moved around to his side of the table, placing a gentle hand atop his head. "You pushed yourself beyond your limits only to watch your Brother die anyway. You broke Luffy, and that's ok."
"Be proud of the fact that you managed to get as far as you did with the level of strength you possess. Not many could say the same Luffy," Naruto added as the younger man's face scrunched up, teeth grit as he clenched the edge of the table tightly as tears began to obscure his vision.
"I-I-!"
The first choked sob tore from his throat involuntarily as Konan ran a hand through his hair soothingly, Naruto getting up and making his way around to kneel next to him, a knowing look in his eyes as he briefly looked up to Konan.
"It's alright to grieve, Luffy … so let it out."
As soon as Naruto fell silent, the floodgates opened as Luffy's head crashed into Naruto's shoulder, a pained roar escaping his throat as the older blonde embraced the younger man tightly.
"Let it all out Luffy," Naruto muttered soothingly as he looked up at Konan who appeared like she was slightly teary eyed as well. "You'll get through this … it's alright."
/Amazon Lily – Natsu's POV/
"You doing alright," Jimbei asked from his place next to Natsu who hadn't moved so much as an inch from where he'd been pummelled by Luffy.
"I'm just tired Jimbei," Natsu sighed in response as he sensed Seilah approach from where she'd been speaking with Law. "What's up Seilah?"
"I know this probably isn't the best time to mention this, but I was meant to inform you that you have multiple requests to return to Equilibrius," his Assistant muttered quietly only for Natsu to exhale audibly.
"Honestly … I couldn't give a fuck right now."
"I'll inform those asking for you to wait until after you've had a chance to rest," Seilah replied with a slight dip of her head. "If you need me, just call."
"You'd never leave in that case."
Seilah's lips quirked upward as she vanished, leaving Natsu with just Jimbei, Law and Mordred for company.
"Oi, Dragneel," Law said as he came into Natsu's field of vision.
"What's up?"
"I get that you've got stuff going on now so my crew and I are gonna head out. Straw Hat should be fine as long as he doesn't go trying to fight anyone for now, but if he does-."
"Come find you?"
"Speaking of finding me," Law said as he reached into his left pocket and pulled out a card, tossing it onto Natsu's chest. "That's the number for my sub. Once you've got your stuff sorted, call me."
"Will do. Sorry about how all of this turned out, I know you've got your own stuff gojng on and all-."
"I'm a Doctor, Dragneel, remember? I could see Straw Hat was gonna crack, was only a matter of time."
"Right …"
"Anyway, I'll leave you all to it," Law said as he raised his right hand and vanished on the spot, eliciting a raised eyebrow from Natsu at the casual teleportation.
"You just gonna lie there all day man," Mordred asked curiously as she made her way over and sat down opposite Jimbei. "We have shit to do you know?"
"I know, but like I said to Seilah just before, I just don't care right now."
"I may not have a full understanding of what's going on right now, but if you want my opinion on all of this, I don't think you've done anything wrong when it comes to Luffy," Jimbei added with Natsu looking toward the Fishman curiously.
"You want to know all of it?"
"Uh …"
"Maybe later," he chuckled in response to Jimbei's reaction. "To put it simply though I'll tell you this. A rule of thumb with me is to never assume I'm innocent of anything."
"Why would you be so open about that?"
"Because you're not someone I see as an enemy Jimbei," Natsu sighed as he fully turned to face the Fishman. "Ever since we met in Impel Down you've done nothing but help, putting your life on the line time and time again to protect Luffy where I couldn't. Basically, I respect you as a being Jimbei, and I trust you enough to be honest with."
"O-oh … Well, I thank you for having such trust in me Natsu," Jimbei grinned, stretching out with his arms only to wince as he overextended said arms, agitating his chest wound. "Argh-! Damn Akainu!"
"What did Law say about your chest? You gonna be alright?"
"Hah! As alright as anyone who has a hole blown through their back and out their chest can be," Jimbei laughed with Natsu chuckling lightly along with him. "I'm just gonna be stuck here for a few days, no swimming."
"Ah, that makes sense," Natsu hummed as he thought about Jimbei's body becoming filled with seawater. "Well, at least you won't be bored at any rate!"
"Hm? Why's that?"
"Well, I doubt you'll have the chance to be bored after meeting what basically equates to Pirate Royalty, eh?"
"Pirate Royalty," Jimbei asked with a raised eyebrow. "You mean the Pirate Empress?"
"Heh. I'll give you that, I forgot that she had that title. But no, I'm talking about him."
Noticing Natsu's gaze moved past the former Warlord and toward the sea, prompting both Mordred and Jimbei to turn and look out at what his gaze was locked onto. Both couldn't stifle their surprised gasps.
"Wh-what!?"
"No way," Jimbei shouted as he staggered to his feet. "It can't be!?"
A short distance away, a lone figure casually strolled across the surface of the seawater, white cloak billowing in the wind. The figure was clearly an older looking man, long white hair swaying along with his cloak.
Jimbei's eyes couldn't have come further out of their sockets if they tried as the figure casually strolled onto the beach and over toward where the trio were, an amused yet knowing grin on his face.
"Well now, looks like I made it on time, or was I a little late?"
"Depends on what part you specifically wanted to be here for, eh, Rayleigh?"
"Heh. You look terrible Natsu," the Dark King joked as he sat down next to the still shellshocked Jimbei. "Are you aware that you're wanted back in Equilibrius?"
"I didn't think you still went to the higher realms?"
"Shakky wanted to have some fun and we crossed paths with a few of the bigshots up there," Rayleigh replied casually. "The Dragon God Kalmeet apparently needs to speak with you, as does the Former War Goddess Eliza."
"Eliza wanting to see me doesn't surprise me too much," Natsu muttered quietly to himself. "But Kalmeet? What does he want?"
"Not sure," Rayleigh replied with a shrug. "I did explain to Kalmeet that you will likely be a good while since you haven't had a good rest."
"So, no rush then," Natsu sighed tiredly. "Good. Oh, by the way Rayleigh, you met Jimbei yet?"
"Not personally," Rayleigh replied as he turned to face the Fishman, an amused glint in his eyes. "Though I've heard good things about you and the Sun Pirates."
"Th-thank you Rayleigh," Jimbei stuttered with the old man chuckling in amusement.
"Please, I'm just a retired old man now, no need to be so nervous."
"Sorry, its just-."
"I understand, most have that same reaction. Still, I do mean what I said, I'm rather impressed with you and your crew Jimbei, considering your origins."
"I'll be sure to pass that along to them Rayleigh," Jimbei replied, his nervous demeanour fading at the mention of his crew. "They'll no doubt take heart from your compliment."
"I hope so. You lot have been through much, far too much," Rayleigh replied sombrely as the pair fell silent for a moment. "Anyway, where's Luffy?"
"He figured out our ruse on Sabaody after he woke up, punched me a few times, said he doesn't want anything to do with me and bolted into the forest," Natsu sighed with the old man stroking his beard in thought.
"And you just stayed here?"
"Yeah. Figured he needed time to cool off, y'know?"
"I suppose that's fair," Rayleigh agreed. "I wanted to check in on both of you after everything that happened, especially Luffy."
"Hm? Why's that?"
"Well, I've been thinking about some things ever since Sabaody," Rayleigh began as Natsu finally sat up, forcing his fatigue back to listen to Rayleigh as the older man explained his plan.
It was a plan he found himself quickly agreeing to.
/Somewhere In The Elemental Nations – Luffy's POV/
"Trust me Luffy, you're gonna love this stuff," Naruto grinned as he lead the younger man down the heavily packed street. "After everything you've been through, you need a good hot meal in you!"
"The way Konan was talking, you come to this place a lot, don't you?"
"Heh, too much," Naruto admitted as he scratched the back of his head in amusement. "Not like I can't afford it though, so it's no harm."
Nodding, the pair reached a small stall that appeared to be crammed in-between two much larger shops. Not many patrons appeared to be seated at the small stall however this didn't seem to bother the owner who simply cooked away like it was business as usual.
"Oi! Old man Teuchi!?"
"Hm? Oh, Naruto," the older looking man gasped as he paused mid cut into some fish. "Was wondering if you'd died or something!?"
"Ah come on old man, I'm not that late!"
"If you aren't at my stall once a day by at least six in the evening then something is wrong," Teuchi replied with a beaming grin. "But I'll overlook it since you brought a friend!"
"Thanks old man, we're buying the whole house tonight," Naruto grinned with Teuchi looking between Luffy and Naruto curiously.
"You eat as much as him do you Son," Teuchi asked with Luffy shrugging in response.
"Trust me old man, he might look thin, but he's gonna pack it away as good as me!"
"Well, I suppose you shocked me the first time we met," Teuchi laughed as he finished filleting the fish he had and fully turned to face them. "Give me five and I'll get started on today's special, Kitakata with extra green onion."
"Awesome, thanks Teuchi," Naruto grinned as the old man moved further back into his kitchen, leaving the pair to their own devices.
"He seemed nice."
"Yeah, old man Teuchi always was one of the nicest people I ever knew," Naruto replied wistfully as he stared at the back of the hardworking Ramen Chef. "Even after everything got changed, good old Teuchi never did."
"Huh? What do you mean by that?"
"I'm not surprised Natsu never told you about what happened following the conclusion to the Fourth Great Ninja War," Naruto sighed as he swivelled on his seat to face Luffy. "To put it simply, basically everyone in this world except for myself, Sasuke, Natsu, Fou and this other cat named Schrodinger all were absorbed by Kaguya. In order to fix what she'd done, Natsu had to use his position as Lord High Arbiter and, with the authority from the Gods Of Creation and Devils Of Destruction, essentially rewrite the history of my world."
Luffy could only gape at what Naruto had just said. If Natsu hadn't mentioned he was a Godlike being he might not have believed it. However, he'd seen this influence from these Creation and Destruction Lords back on Skypeia with Gan Fall, so he knew Naruto wasn't trying to play a prank on him.
"Y-you mean … Natsu reset this entire world, everyone!?"
"Myself, Sasuke, Konan and the Tailed Beasts are the only ones that know there ever was a previous version of this world," Naruto replied sadly. "We won the war, but lost everything else. The only other beings who managed to escape the rewrite, Sasuke and I were forced to kill because they tried to take over."
"Who were they," Luffy asked curiously, Naruto raising an eyebrow in response to his question. "I'm just wondering since they managed to avoid Natsu changing everything?"
"Heh. Yeah, that's actually fair. Well, first one was the descendant of Hamura Otsutsuki, a guy by the name of Toneri Otsutsuki. Bastard was lusting after a girl Sasuke and I knew, Hinata Hyuga, and wanted to make her his Queen or whatever. Sicko was gonna breed him the perfect child then use them to recreate some eyes that his clan had access to back around Hamura's time."
"He kidnapped her I'm guessing?"
"Oh yeah, but the kicker was where he took her," Naruto snorted in response. "Turns out the prick and his family had hollowed out the damn moon and were living inside of it."
"Wh-what!?"
"That was basically my reaction when I found out, but we went up there and got Hinata back," Naruto chuckled, eyes narrowing dangerously as he clenched his right fist. "In response, fucker tried to drop the damn thing on the planet."
"Well, since the moon is definitely still up there and the world seems fine, I'm guessing you stopped him?"
"Oh yeah. Sasuke and I smashed the shit out of him and turned him over to the Equilibrius Council since he was a rogue God. The ones that came after though … they were a whole different issue."
"What, they try and drop the sun?
"Hah! Nah, they didn't do anything like that," Naruto laughed with a shake of his head. "No, these guys were a pair of Otsutsuki who vanished back around the time Kaguya fled Terminus. Kinshiki and Momoshiki Otsutsuki."
"Sounds like that entire family is a massive mess?"
"Haha! Honestly, you haven't got a clue Luffy, no damn idea," Naruto laughed as he slammed a hand onto the counter. "They came down from deep space, apparently been hiding on some detached portion of Terminus that vanished ages ago and everyone forgot about. They came down and tried to force the entire world into submission. Not only that, they tried to absorb the Tailed Beasts and managed to nab a few of them before we realized who they were and what they were doing."
"Are the Tailed Beasts alright now?"
"Oh yeah. Sasuke and I, we struck back hard against those two," Naruto replied with a vicious grin. "See, they came down here with a bunch of these puppet things that could crush basically any mortal on this world, but they're like paper to Sasuke and I."
"So, you beat these puppet things then fought them?"
"Oh yeah. They tried fighting us, but together Sasuke and I couldn't be stopped and so we pushed them off world. They got back on that rock of theirs and tried to flee with what they'd already stolen."
"Key word being that they tried, right?"
"Heh. "They got just past the moon before Sasuke and I launched a counter-offensive and smashed them so bad Momoshiki was forced to absorb Kinshiki, essentially fusing then multiplying their powers. Admittedly, he was pretty strong after that, but he wasn't any match for Sasuke and I when we merged ourselves together."
"Merged yourselves?"
"We only ever did it once before, back during the last stages of the war. Basically, it's our final trump card to stop anyone who is too much for us individually," Naruto replied, looking beyond Naruto now as he recalled the fight. "In that form, he was about on par with Kaguya, maybe stronger …"
Naruto seemed to blank out for a moment before his eyes suddenly became hyper-focused and he shook his head.
"Anyway, my point with all this is that if someone like me can survive losing basically everything then you'll survive as well Luffy," Naruto said right as Teuchi served up the first bowl of Ramen. "Never forget the pain you feel from Ace's death, but don't let it consume you. Turn it into fuel for your strength to protect those you have left."
"Those I have left? But my Brothers are dead?"
"I'm not talking about them," Naruto replied softly as he poked Luffy in the chest. "Don't need to be family to find a place in here, do you?"
"You're talking about … my crew," Luffy muttered in surprise with the older man grinning in response. "That's right, I still have them!"
"I'm telling you to remember your crew, your friends, for a reason Luffy," Naruto continued as the grin was slowly replaced with a deep frown. "Your world is in danger, on a scale far worse than what mine was. Shanks is doing what he can but it isn't enough. Natsu isn't gonna be enough to help him deal with what's coming …"
"What-!?"
"That fear of losing what's closest to you Luffy … I want you to never forget it. Remember it, use it as kindling for growing stronger. You'll all need to be stronger to face the disaster that's coming."
"Disaster? You know what's coming!?"
"I can't tell you what it is Luffy," Naruto sighed as he looked at the young man with an aged expression. "But yes, I'm aware of a few things not even Natsu is and let me tell you that if you want to survive, you have to grow stronger enough to be worthy of standing at his side in combat."
Luffy grit his teeth as he recalled Ace's death. The feeling of hurt he felt as he felt Ace go limp in his arms. He then pictured it being each of his friends, his rage growing stronger and stronger until he cracked the counter under his grasp.
"Once we've finished here, I'm gonna take you back since someone has come to see you back on Amazon Lily," Naruto said as he began to scoff down his Ramen. "Take your time though, Time might get shitty at being messed with, but that doesn't mean I'm not gonna abuse the separate Timestreams between our worlds!"
Luffy nodded as he began to scarf down the bowl of Ramen before him with renewed determination.
No longer was he going to mope around when he knew there was some kind of future danger coming. Looking back to Naruto, he could only ponder what this trouble was and pray that it wouldn't come for some time.
"By the way, keep what we've discussed to yourself for now," Naruto muttered as he turned to face Luffy again. "Even keep it quiet from Natsu."
"Wh-why!?"
"I'm trying to return the favour here … believe me," Naruto sighed as he placed a hand on Luffy's shoulder firmly. "Telling you was the only way I could warn someone without getting into deep shit myself. Do whatever you can, just don't tell anyone you know something is coming, ok?"
"Is this related to that whole Time and Fate thing we spoke about earlier," Luffy asked with Naruto nodding stiffly. "Alright then, I promise."
"Good. Now then, enough doom and gloom for the moment! I'm gonna eat twice as many bowls as you!"
"Huh!? Get real, I'm already way ahead!"
"Maybe you are, but not for long," Naruto grinned as the pair scoffed down their food with renewed vigour.

I may write the story of Naruto and Sasuke defeating Toneri, Kinshiki and Momoshiki someday since it is completely different from the movies, especially the Kinshiki/Momoshiki stuff. But for now enjoy this small teaser of what happened!
But anyway, hope you all enjoyed, the Time Skip is almost here so get keen and I'll see you in the next one!
