Chapter 477: Sunday Fun time.
(February 13. Gus' Games n' Grub.)
A dang good Sunday to be spending some family time, and this is where the louds have chosen to spend their family day, at the arcade that everyone knows and loves. Delilah is clashing against her sister in a racing game, while Lincoln is by himself and playing a Star Wars starship shooting game.
Dancing on the game are Luna against Michelle and both seem to be dang good and keeping up with each other. "Nice moves, but I have been acing this game for a long, long time and I know what to do. Also, you know how to keep up with me."
Michelle chuckles. "Thanks, I for one know how to jam it, rock it and dancing it!" The duo continue to show off how fast and well they can dance and beat the other.
Lincoln then stops playing after his starship was destroyed. "That's a game over, and I beat Zach's high score too. Awesome." He then goes over and sees the tickets he won, and then he counts them and then sees Delilah and Leslie are also done playing with their racing game and the winner is Leslie, and she managed to score more tickets than her sister.
"Dang, good race and pretty fast too" said Delilah. "Looks like some gaming time with Linc turned out well."
"Which comes for me to ask..." Lincoln goes over and asks Leslie. "Do you plan to join the Middle School Gamer's Club?"
Leslie thinks about this. "Well, it does sound awesome. Yeah, I'll join on the late month of February, but for now I wanna be ready for something else, and that would be the many stuff I gotta catch up on with my education and grades. I do not wanna be left behind in the early ages of Middle School."
They gather their tickets and then see Luna and Michelle still playing and so Lincoln calls out. "Mom, we're gonna go and order some pizza. You guys cool with that?"
Luna is sweating and she seems determined. "Go on ahead, we'll catch up with you kids later."
Michelle is trying her best to keep up. "I'll take diet soda, guys. I just need to win this one."
"Never gonna happen, Michelle!" Luna and Michelle just continue to play and try to beat the other, and this causes the kids to chuckle and then head off to the table and chairs booth s they can order the pizza that they al wanna enjoy together as a family.
They then place down their orders on what they wanna eat and drink and Dana comes back with some sodas and their pizza will be ready in less than 10 minutes, and they continue to talk about the tickets they got and what they plan to get from the prize wall.
Lincoln has more than 4,000 tickets, and he plans to get the Transformers Masterpiece toy of The Last Knight Optimus Prime, and it costs only 3,500 tickets.
Delilah plans to use her 4,550 tickets for the 2,500 ticket cost for the RC Race Car, she wants to put it to some good use, along with the drone she plans to make.
Leslie on the other hand doesn't wanna waste her tickets, she has more than 10 grand worth f tickets, but there is nothing on the prize wall that seems to interest her.
Delilah then recalls something else coming tomorrow. "Leslie, now we know that you do have to keep track of your education and all, but what about someone special you wanna fess up to? What about, Stella Zhau?"
Leslie nearly chokes, but she manages to calm down and then she looks to her older sister. "Whoa. Whoa. Calm down there and ease up on this conversation Delilah, now I don't wanna dig any deeper into this dance thing that I will be attending tomorrow, and I am super nervous about doing so."
Lincoln chuckles. "Calm down, Leslie. We know that you have feelings for Stella, and I know for sure that she has feelings for you, I have seen it and she gets super nervous whenever I mention about you and the whole ordeal when you two bumped into each other, there is no shadow of a doubt that Stella Zhau likes you back."
Leslie sighs. "Well, that is good to know and al, but I wanna hear that from her personally, ii don't wanna jump to conclusions and hope that perhaps I can start a relationship with someone. Also, I didn't think I would be that kinda gal who would have a thing for other gals and that does explain why I had this small crush on Jordan. No offense."
Lincoln chuckles. "None taken, cousin. Jordan and awesome gal and a dang good friend and one tough lady who can literally bring the hurt and show why she is the dodge ball queen, and chances we could ace it again when Thursday comes."
Delilah chuckles and then she asks. "Linc, has there been any word on your hero counterpart from the other world and when they plan to come and train you guys some more?"
Lincoln then looks to his phone. "Well, today I did message him and asked, and he replied that he is trying to deal with something important from a recent mission that they nearly got killed. I wanna know about that and see how it all went down, chances they might come by to train us this month, but we're not sure when."
Delilah nods. "Alright then, I really wanna see this Marcy person and see how she could be compared to me, and also find out about their Leslie Silver, and my alternate version. I didn't think I bothered to ask."
Leslie then clears her throat. "Guys, in the dark here again. What the heck is this all about?" They then explain to Leslie, about the alternate versions of Lincoln and Luna, and Sam and Jordan, who are heroes in another world who come to their world to train them as promised.
(The Royal Woods Mall.)
The mall is looking super busy and all because of the upcoming Valentine's Day sale, and a lot of stuff rated to the day tomorrow are being sold and many on sale for the best price folks can get. Mostly flowers and chocolates are on sale, and whatever a girl could love. Leni and her work friends are doing their best and struggling to keep up with the shopping and stops shopper from fighting each other.
Luna, Lincoln, Michelle, Delilah and Leslie walk by Reiningers and they see the commotion going on there. "Dang, I feel bad for Leni and her friends going through with this" replied Lincoln. "You think they're gonna be alright in there?'
They spot Miguel trying to escape, but he is pulled back in and he screams. 'Tell my mom I love her!" Leni is doing her part and keeping up with customers who wanna check out with what they bought, and Fiona is trying her best to make sure the folks don't cause any trouble and same with Mrs. Carmichael.
Seeing how crazy it is getting in there, they choose to slowly walk away from this, but they do wave towards Leni and she waves back and then she handles with Scoots and her shopping, and she questions why the heck Scoots is even shopping for the big Valentine's Day anyway.
They all continue to walk and check out the place and then Michelle asks the kids. "Alright, xo you kids wanna buy something in here before the sales goes out?"
Lincoln thinks about this. "Nope, no way there is anything that we like that is on sale, and even so... I doubt we'd wanna... Wait, what?!"
Lincoln goes to the nearby video game store and he can see the announcement on the screens about Company of Heroes 3. "Wow. Dang, I gotta try and get the chance to play this, and also see how the game works so they can be able to improve it." He also spots some Tank figurines based from the game and are on sale.
Leslie then sees the book store and she sees the one science book that is on sale and she has been eyeing it for some time and now she can afford it, Delilah spots some stuff at the tech store, mostly some RC parts that she could use. "Okay now we have a reason to shop here.'
Luna and Michelle chuckle seeing and hearing this and so they all go over and help with the shopping the kids wanna get their hands on and soon Luna and Michelle would wanna check out their other place4es and see if the stuff there are on sale, let that be at the music store of perhaps gryphons' shopping.
(Later.)
The louds are now at the food court and all of them are enjoying the food they ordered and all of them have so many shopping bags and this confuses Leslie. "How the heck did we end up shopping for so much stuff?!"
Michelle has an answer for that one. "Well, when there's a sale, the stuff we wanna get is on the best price and the items we have been seeking for are already affordable and we wanna get our hands on it before they all fade away. We went into full shopping mode just to beat the prices and see what we can buy, we all fell for something I learned when I was working here long ago."
Leni then walks by with her friends. "She's not wrong there." the group had finished their lunch break and they have to return to work and endure more of the sales until the day is over.
Lincoln then speaks. "Hey mom, you think that one day we can spend a week or more at the other world? The one where our hero counterparts reside?"
Luna thinks about this. "Hmm, now that is one tall order. We'd have to ask them when they do come here and wanna train us for more hand-to-hand combat tricks and other stuff, and we have been improving since the last time we got attacked by some folks, such as the damned old Silver fools."
Lincoln nods, and then Leslie asks something. "Guys, do you all think that the grandma who is horrible might come after me?"
They all were surprised that she would ask that, but they understand where she is going with this and then Delilah speaks. "Leslie, calm down and listen. Gabrielle Silver is locked up and there is no way for her to escape and come after you."
Michelle nods. "Delilah is right, Gabrielle has no more allies and she cannot be able to bail herself out. She won't come after you and I know for sure that she can't be able to bribe or do any reasoning with anyone for her to be released and come after you. You have my word sweetie."
Leslie feels relieved to hear this, and yet she feels scared too. She feel as if one day, one day Gabrielle Silver will escape and she will come after Leslie and make her a Silver again, something Leslie doesn't wanna be anymore.
