The screen began to bubble and boil as the familiar silver door rose from it's depths, the thick purple chains corroding and breaking apart as the door opened up and bathed everything in dark purple.

From the tainted light, came a single red eye that glared at the screen before the door slammed shut and everything became static, a crumbling rose symbol appearing every so often as the title began to form.

The Ruinverse: Chapter Forty Two, Sorceress Supreme.

-Remnant, Grimmlands, Evernight Castle-

Within the darkened meeting hall of this former deity's castle, Salem sat on her throne like chair, watching as her 'cohorts', Tyrian Callows, Arthur Watts, Hazel Rainart and Trivia Vanille, the treacherous Spring and now Fall Maiden of Vale, chattered about the current events of Remnant, which for the immortal, bored her to death.

It was all the same to her, Huntsmen save a town, a Grimm attack on a local village, and some famous individual helps humanity 'grow' a little.

This was also the case for Trivia Vanille, whom she adopted after the girl killed her own family several years prior, a very corrupt yet influential family that tried to suppress her semblance, one that could make true illusions. Mute she might be due to some possible physical or emotional kink in her 'armor', the girl proved her worth time and time again, even helping mastermind the collapse of Vale itself a few months prior.

But as of right now…she was a little concerned, given that her new 'dual' Maiden had yet to master the Fall Maiden power proper and she has been having her own….run-ins with an Atlasian Huntress in Anima.

That Huntress? A lackluster woman named Cinder Ironwood, adopted daughter of James Ironwood and currently trying to bring down Trivial for her actions during the Fall.

In her opinion, Cinder might have been a great pawn in her plans, maybe an asset later down the line….if it wasn't for the Miracle Girl of Atlas, the famed Doctor Strange of Vale….Doctor Weiss Schnee.

'I should've struck sooner, but how was I supposed to know the Schnee was in the area and healed her injuries. Ugh…at least the Glass Unicorn's Madame was arrested, I might be the only human of worth in this world, but human trafficking and slavery is something I do not condone, at all.' Salem thought before seeing Arthur narrowing his eyes at the scorpion assassin and starting an augment in the process, something about a prosthetic left hand or something. 'Although, in hindsight, having that Schnee as a 'minion' would be better than having to listen to Watts' arrogant voice for the last ten hours.'

Looking to her left, sitting nearest to Hazel with her legs on the table was a short pale skinned woman with long brown hair that was tied on the sides into long double pigtails sporting thick white streaks, a pink left eye and a brown right eye, deep green diamond shaped eyeshadow, a E cup chest and wide ass, short pink nails with a single black diamond in the center, four thick black velvet ribbons attached to the base of her pigtails, a single red diamond tattoo on her forehead, wearing a sleeveless dark green corset with pink laces on the back and exposed both her hips and upper cleavage, a black bow around her neck, dull pink diamond shaped detached sleeves that from the elbows to the palms, ten black and gold bead necklaces attached to her sleeves by gold hoops, thick dull pink harem pants with a diamond shaped slit on either side that revealed see through knee length black stockings, two black pouches strapped near the lower thighs with several silver coated knives attached to the ends by metal strings, white steel tipped high heels with a diamond shaped heel and a fluffy white fur boa wrapped around the lower arms and made a hump near her back, who seemed extremely bored at the moment.

This was Trivia Vanille, and she was mimicking the immortal's personal mood, much to Salem's enjoyment given her Maiden didn't try to kill or steal her powers, just walk around, killing her enemies and offering the immortal some ice cream once in a while.

Overall, out of all her pawns, Trivia was her favorite out of the insanity that is this group.

"Mmmmm." Salem grumbled out loud, getting everyone's attention.

"Is something the matter, your majesty?" the mad faunus asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Oh nothing. I was just thinking…."

"About what?" Hazel asked while Trivia formed a tiny doll of Cinder, in military attire, in her left hand and pointed to it.

"Just about someone else, and it's not the child of Atlas' paranoid general." she waved off while placing her hand on her left cheek and sighed. "It's another child of Atlas…and annoying one to boot."

"The youngest son or the middle child?" Arthur asked while Salem rolled her eyes.

"The youngest, of course it's the middle child. The same one that somehow gained the power to use magic." she groaned in frustration. "The team leader of Team SBLR and famous doctor of Remnant. That girl is…so annoying."

Trivia shrugged and formed orange and red flames from her hands, indicating a fearless disposition towards the 'annoying' Schnee.

"You need to learn fear once in a while." Salem said as Trivia flitched at her word. "Especially with that stupid doctor. Always hampering short term plans, saving lives I need snuffed out and….ugh. She's just so….irritating."

"Want me to kill her, your majesty?" Tyrian asked with a grin.

However, as the immortal was about to answer, she felt something was….very off about Arthur for some reason, like he really wasn't…all there.

Yes, he was annoying and prideful, but during the entire meeting, he just seemed to repeat his own words, always saying the same topic. Always talking about 'prosthetics' and 'Vale', which made her raise an eyebrow at his expressive interest in the fallen Kingdom, given he was an Atlasian born scientist.

"Salem?" said Arthur with a confused look on his face, making Salem glare at him.

"Who are you?"

"I have no idea what-"

"Who are you? The real Arthur Watts would never talk so explicitly about Vale, especially after it was destroyed." Salem frowned at the man cocked his head to the side.

"Whatever do you mean? I'm just trying to explain to my….cohort about the state of Vale's collapse." he said while Trivia noticed that his clothes were lined with pale green lining instead of the usual black lining. "Is that a crime?"

"No, but tricking an immortal is. Now tell me, who are you?" the immortal frowned as 'Arthur' stared at her…before smirking a little.

"Huh, didn't expect you to notice the difference." 'he' said with a low feminine voice before shattering into black crystal shards, revealing a black ooze-covered white construct of ice in place of the human before it began to 'melt' and the shards flew towards a nearby pillar.

Soooosh!

As the group turned to the pillar, they noticed someone walking out of a white glyph-like portal, seemingly hidden in the shadows, and moved towards them.

"I guess I still have some fine tuning for the Shroud of Ikonn spell." spoke a tall pale skinned young woman with long white hair tied into a large bun in the back, pale blue eyes, a C cup chest and large ass, small silver piercings on the earlobes, black circles around her eyes, wearing a well kept dark navy blue long sleeved overcoat with pale green lining and gold snowflake shaped buttons on the cuffs and collar, white gloves with pale green tips, a long dark navy blue cloak with a curved spiked collar sporting pale green crystal shards lining in the exterior and interior, a black leather belt with a white eight sided triangle buckle, dark navy blue dress pants with pale green lining on the sides and pockets, pale green rune-like symbols on the legs and arms, a pale green snowflake emblem on the stomach and white dress shoes with a single navy blue heel, as she absorbed the melted 'ice' shards into her left arm, her face giving off a mix of arrogance and dark intent. "But I really don't need that one to defeat all of you."

"Dr. Schnee? How did you even get here?" Salem frowned while Trivia and Tyrian pulled out their weapons and Hazel stood up in defiance of the intruder's presence.

"Oh that, that's really not important." she said while forming white circular glyphs over her hands, black 'ash' leaking from the circle. "But what is important is you four."

Hazel stomped towards the Schnee with the intent to punch her.

However, as he collided his left fist into her face, a red aura formed around her along with several runes, knocking him back a little.

"Barrier of Cyttorak, handy for brutes like you." she said before raising her left hand up and summoned a large black glyph, causing her body to glow in the same hue as Hazel felt his body getting sucked into the circle. "Goodbye."

"Ahhhh!" he grunted out before falling headfirst into the glyph, causing Weiss to temporarily grow several feet in height as Salem's eyes widened.

'Wait, how did…..no. That can't be!' she thought as Dr. Schnee smirked at her direction, just as Tyrian jumped towards her, stinger at the ready. 'How could that dark spell be replicated!?'

ZOOOP!

SWISSH!

Only to be stabbed multiple times by deep purple blades that suddenly shot out of six golden portals like machine gun rounds, his arms and legs becoming completely broken and covered in blood.

"AAAAAAHHHHHHH!"

"Blades of Krakkan mixed with the Tear of Watoomb, an interesting combination for people like you." Dr. Schnee said coldly before using her glyphs to suck the faunus into it, a large scorpion tail forming from her body as Trivia started to use the Spring and Fall Maiden powers to take flight and form several balls of flaming ice shards. "Huh, you again."

Trivia smirked before sending balls of flaming ice at the Schnee, only for her body to glow with a blue aura as she disappeared in an instant.

BAM!

Only to get hit in the back by several energy blades, which made her turn around and was grabbed by the neck by Weiss' left hand, the doctor's body glowing with white energy emanating from her clothes and cloak.

"Aura of the Farallah, not as powerful as MY partner Ruby, but enough to make sure you can't do anything else." she said with a growl before her left hand started to glow a bright green and gray color. "Now, by the Will of Raggadorr and the Terror of the Balthakk, I will be taking those Maiden powers."

Trivia struggled to break free, attempting to summon a blast of red flames at the Schnee's face, but found that her strength was leaving her at a rapid rate, her mind began to be filled with visions of terror.

All focused on one thing….her parents.

'You are a failure Trivia!'

'Blaming others wasn't enough for you, you had to kill us! In our sleep!'

'We should've locked you in your room! Or better yet, disowned you!'

'Failure!'

'Unwanted child!'

'Grimm spawn!'

As the voices in her own head began to overwhelm the Vanille, she failed to realize she was being sucked into the glyph like void, her muted 'cries' of terror being the last thing she ever saw as Dr. Schnee's eyes flashed pink and brown for a second as Salem stepped back, away from the surgeon, fully realizing what was going on.

'I need to get away!' she thought while her heart started to race, the former fearless immortal acting like a child in the presence of this 'mortal'. 'If she had recreated the God of Darkness' Spell of Subjugation…then I would not be safe. NO one will be safe!'

The Schnee turned her gaze towards Salem, smirking as she made gestures with her hands, causing her body to fade away in a dark blue cloud of gas.

'Wait, where did she go?' she thought while darting her head around, looking for the woman so she could make a counterattack, which she would use to escape and regroup, possibly find…Ozma's current reincarnation and 'work' together to stop the doctor before she destroyed the world. "I know you're set on a course of vengeance, but you have already 'devoured' Trivia, you have no motive to defeat me."

As the woman kept on looking around, she didn't notice that several large glyphs were forming outside the castle, absorbing all of the pools of Grimm Ooze and it's beastly residences in one fell swoop.

"If this is about the fall of your little school, then it's a petty reason." Salem said while backing up near the window, not seeing Weiss' body reforming into a solid form, as the woman formed two large Ursa arms from her hands, seemingly moving outwards like slime, and grabbed the woman in a stranglehold. "GAH!"

"It was never about Vale." she frowned while squeezing tighter. "For someone with all the knowledge of humanity, you are rather stupid. Even Valtorr, the one that grants me the Form of Valtorr, would mock your stupidity."

As the immortal thrashed her legs and arms, trying to escape the Schnee's grasp, she saw the same black glyph forming near her chest.

"It was from my partner, my team. And by the false gods of the outer planes, I will bring them back." She growled before Salem felt her body getting pulled into Weiss' body, her physical form trying to struggle against the vortex as her curse attempted to reconstitute her body but failed due to the nature of the glyph. "Even if I have to take away everything that makes Remnant unique, including you."

'N-NO!' Salem screamed in her head as her body was absorbed into the girls' body, which quickly fell to the ground and began to twitch and spasm.

"Ah…ah…!" She gasped in pain as her skin turned ashen, deep purple cracks formed on her eyes and her eyes shifted from blue to red every few seconds before her body stabilized and returned to normal. "Ah…ah…"

As the Schnee panted heavily, she noticed the sound of clicking, causing her to look around in confusion.

"Hello?"

Click.

Click.

Click.

'What is that….clicking sound? It…reminds me of a Scroll's keyboard.' she thought to herself before turning her head, facing the screen and blinked, standing up while banging her left fist against the screen.

Glank.

Glank.

"Mmmmm." Weiss hummed while banging on the screen again, only to notice dark shadows right on the other side, looking at her like a one-way mirror. "I see. A type of 'wall' separating one reality with another. Fascinating, something akin to what grandfather mentioned in his diary…but wait."

As the Schnee's eyes began to narrow, the banging began to cease and the clicking sound suddenly stopped due to a loud BAM made by the girl's angry right fist.

"If that's true….you LET my team die." She frowned with anger. "You saw everything yet…yet you let my team die! You let them be devoured by the Grimm…and for what? Entertainment!?"

BAM!

The screen began to crack slightly, letting purple energy ooze from the sides as Weiss growled and moved back.

"You are lucky I can't break this barrier. But don't worry." she said while turning her back to the screen, her clothes glowing a bright white color. "Dr. Schnee will be making a house call to you all, very soon. But for now, I have an entire world to absorb, possibly more."

As the woman began to levitate upwards, the screen began to turn pitch black, the purple cracks still visible as several red eyes sporadically formed from said cracks.

"I will regain my team, even if this entire world, no, the entire multiverse is absorbed!"

Bio: In this timeline, set within a timeline where Huntsmen teams utilize the last names instead of the first names of their members, a young Weiss Schnee would be trained by a sympathetic Khein Sieben, who saw her as a lonely girl in a miserable family, in the medical arts, wanting her to have an opportunity at a practice outside the SDC's 'gilded cage' and become her own person as a result. While the age of six is a little…extreme to teach someone how to be a doctor, she surprisingly was a very fast learner, becoming a competent doctor at age nine, earning a Valeian Doctor's Degree (VDD) at age ten, and becoming a successful surgeon at age eleven to the shock of the world, who instantly saw her as a 'Miracle Girl' due to her skills at impossible surgical tasks. In between being a celebrity and a doctor, Weiss began to practice her semblance in a different way, instead of using a weapon to focus her powers, she began utilizing fictional books of spells as a medium to 'mimic' the spells via Glyphs, subconsciously drawing the fundamental mystical forces of the Ruinverse itself to power her 'spells' and turning her into the most powerful Schnee in her entire family. Utilizing Aeros/Wind Dust lined clothes along with her 'spells', she decided to help others and save lives, joining Beacon Academy as a Huntress and forming Team SBLR with her teammates, Yang Xiao Long, Blake Belladonna and Ruby Rose, becoming the team's leader and power-house in the process. For all the world, the life of Doctor Schnee was a perfect one, a rarity in the dark world of the Ruinverse, on its way to become a great contender for the RWBYverse itself…until the Fall of Vale occurred that is. Within the chaos, Trivia Vanille, the Spring Maiden and mastermind of the Fall, gained the power of the Fall Maiden and allowed the Grimm to massacre Team SBLR, leaving Weiss as the only survivor and caused her to fall into a deep despair that no one, not even her surrogate father Klein, could break her out of. In this state, she was forced to return to Atlas where she locked herself in the Schnee family library, utilizing the vast hub of information to try and bring her team back to the land of the living, her grief manifesting in a mad desire to see her teammates once more and refusing to believe that her 'spells' were false. After several weeks of searching, she located, accidentally, a hidden room full of arcane artifacts and tomes, including the long lost diary of Nicolas Schnee, which revealed both the answer to her desires and the dark secret of her grandfather. That secret…was the fact that Nicolas was the first magic user in Remnant since the gods left and destroyed the first race of men, having discovered his semblance's connection to the microscopic magic particles still left in the world and used them to create many magical spells and objects, many of them dark, to help humanity when the time was right and how to counteract other magical forces, with two of his greatest and darkest spells written only in this diary and sealed away to prevent his son in law from misusing his knowledge. The two spells, one a resurrection spell that requires a very high amount of aura and energy to anchor the soul or souls to the physical plane, and a spell of absorption/'subjugation' that allows the user to gain the forms, powers and memories of others, via Glyphs, as their own, were considered the most foul of magic, capable of defeating gods, and was hidden to prevent others from misusing them…however, for Weiss, this was her answer to bring her team back. Thus, she began using the spell of absorption to consume every single thing in Remnant, including the Relics and Salem herself, becoming immortal and capable of traveling across the Ruinverse, which she plunders for the single goal of reuniting with her team, never resting or relenting in that mission. For all it's worth…this single goal could destroy the Ruinverse…but it will find a way, it aLwAyS dOeS.
