The screen began to bubble and boil as the familiar silver door rose from it's depths, the thick purple chains corroding and breaking apart as the door opened up and bathed everything in dark purple.
From the tainted light, came a single red eye that glared at the screen before the door slammed shut and everything became static, a crumbling rose symbol appearing every so often as the title began to form.
The Ruinverse: Chapter Forty Six, Law of the Faunus.

The sound of battle rang across the evening sky as Team RNJR and their allies attempted to stop the combined forces of Cinder and Raven, each one with motives involving the fate of Remnant itself.
CRASH!
Although in the case of Adam Taurus and his goons, who just barely escaped a collision with one Hazel Rainart, they were busy setting up explosives around the academy, with the goal of destroying it and causing a 'revolution'.
But in actuality, it was just a madman's need to be lionized that brought him to this fate.
"Stay focused! Our friends are almost done here." the bull faunus yelled to his followers before hearing an all too familiar voice calling out his name.
"ADAM!"
As the group turned their heads, seeing the lone 'Princess of Menagerie' still alive and kicking on the rooftop, no one noticed that the sky was starting to become darker with thick black clouds, low rumbling heard in the distance far away from Mistral's borders.
"Blake?" He said in disbelief, ignoring his 'companions' question as the cat faunus narrowed her eyes.
"Stand down!"

"Wait!" the High Leader called out to his followers, making them lower their weapons as the sound of thunder began to grow louder in the distance, the air seemingly picking up in the process. "To think that I went through so much trouble to find you, only to have you deliver yourself to me."
"This isn't what's right for the Faunus! Stop what you're doing and we can end this peacefully." Blake said while Adam chuckled.
"You're wrong, Blake, and you can't stop us."
"No, I can't. Not by myself."
"That's why she didn't come alone!" spoke a voice from behind the bull faunus, revealing themselves as Vauco's resident Hunter, Sun Wukong, as a large legion of faunus, many from Menagerie, stood behind him with shields bearing a gold wolf-like face.
The old symbol of the White Fang, returned to its normal state for the common goal of protecting the innocent.
"What?!" Adam screamed in disbelief before one of his soldiers took notice of another legion of faunus, this time led by his former leader, Ghira Belladonna. 'How!? They were supposed to be DEAD!'
"Your brothers and sisters." the older faunus said coldly as many of the White Fang Soldiers began to hesitate, seeming many of their loved ones either taking arms against them or trying to dissuade them from this path of madness.
As the bull faunus and his allies tried to figure out their next plan of attack, the rumbling of thunder began to grow louder, the dark clouds forming over Mistral as the wind started to blow away small debris on the ground.
"Make no mistake, brothers! These are our enemies! And we will not let them ruin-"

FLASH!
"Adam Taurus, this is the Mistral Police Force! Lower your weapons and surrender peacefully." called out a Mistrial police captain from one of the airships overhead, Kali Belladonna looking down upon the scene with a serious glare placed upon Adam's 'group'.
As the battle began to die down and more airships began to arrive at this desiccated hall of learning, Blake landed on the ground and stared at Adam, who was now furious about this set-back.
"How?! How did you do this?!"
"Adam, it's over." she said before-

BOOOOM!
The sound of lightning made the faunus' sensitive ears ring out in pain, causing Sun to look at the sky with surprise.
"Um, was there going to be a storm today?" he said while the rain began to fall.
Drip.
With one lone drop landing on his left eye, causing him to blink.
"Ok…that was….ugh." he groaned before stumbling forwards, his tail standing on end as he felt….something strange.
The sensation of something chewing on his brain.
"Sun?" Blake called out while the rain began falling faster, several drops landing on her ears as Sun started to breathe heavily.
"Ah….gods…ah!" he screamed while his eyes began to turn pure white, thick pulsating veins forming near his eyes as he slumped forwards a little and didn't move.
"Sun!"
"Heh, always the fool." Adam smirked before feeling something gnawing at his brain, causing him to drop his weapon and claw at his head. "Gods! AHHH! What the fuck is this pain?!"
"What the-AHHHH!" Ghira cried out in pain as many of the faunus, both White Fang and Menagerie, started to claw at their heads, their eyes becoming pure white as Blake started to breathe heavily, her mind slowly becoming hazy.
"AHHHHH!"
"What is going on?" Jaune asked in horror as everyone, both 'good' and 'evil' watched on in shock, the legions of faunus slumping forwards before staring at them with….malice. "I…really don't like that look."
"Me neither." Weiss said before seeing Sun jump right at Hazel's neck.
"AH!" he cried out before pulling him off, only-
CHOMP!
To see his left hand getting bitten down by the monkey faunus, his mind seemingly fixated on chewing on the tender flesh instead of fighting him.
"Get off-AHHH!" He screamed in pain as another faunus, this one being Ilia, jumped right on his neck and bit him hard, ripping his flesh off as more faunus rushed towards the group.
"Run!" Mercury cried out before using his legs to get the hell away from the group and onto higher ground. "I didn't sign up for this!"
"This is….bad." Ren said with fear before he started to run away with the other humans, trying to reach higher ground in the process as they ran up the stairs, the faunus continuing to pursue them like ravenous beasts.
"I can't just-AAAH!" Jaune screamed as he was attacked by a White Fang soldier and had his hands bitten onto as Weiss was dragged away by several faunus, to be devoured like the rest.
"WEISS!" Ruby cried out before attempting to use her semblance to save her, but was grabbed by Yang's robotic arm.
"We need to get out of her, RIGHT NOW!" she yelled before running to the elevator to the Vault of Knowledge and quickly allowed the contraption to send them down into the depths.
But as the lamp shaped elevator vanished from sight, Qrow quickly busted down the door to the headmaster's office, where Oscar was drawing his 'weapon' against Leonardo.
"W-What? What are you-"
"Shove it Lionheart! We have a problem!" he yelled before hearing a loud scream behind him, which was revealed to be Mercury, being dragged by the head by one of the infected faunus. "THAT!"
"I…wait what?" Oscar said in disbelief, having no idea what was going on along with his 'guest' Ozpin.
"We need to get out of this city, right now!"
"And leave Cinder alone!?" Emerald yelled while pushing a heavy bookshelf in front of the busted doorway. "I'm not going to let that happen!"
"And get eaten by…those cannibals!? You are batshit bonkers, lady!" Qrow yelled while suddenly realizing something. "Wait, where are my nieces!?"
"I saw them heading to the vault." Ren said while Nora noticed that one of the windows was cracked…letting in rain water.
"BACK AWAY!" Nora yelled while pushing Leonardo away from the window. "DON'T LET THE WATER TOUCH YOU!"
"I what? That's what started all this-"
SHATTER!
Glass fell on the floor as the hulking figure of Ghira Belladonna jumped into the room, ignoring the glass shards in his eyes and neck, and roared at them, the wind causing the rain to go flying in every direction.
"Shit!"
"RRRRROOOOOAAARRRRRRRRR!"
As the faunus charged towards the group with the intent to kill, the screen suddenly cut to black as the sound of crunching bones and ripped flesh was heard in the background.

-Outside the Vault of Knowledge-
"Vernal was a decoy the whole time." Cinder muttered in surprise as she turned to Raven Branwen, who was looking at an emotionless Vernal, dead from the woman's Grimm-like appendage. "The last Spring Maiden must've trusted you a great deal before she died. I bet that was-"
But as Raven began to pull out her weapon, she noticed the elevator moving quickly down-
CRASH!
And landed at full speed on the dark blue floor, breaking in the process as she saw her daughter and Ruby getting out of the wreckage, seemingly terrified for their lives.
"Oh? The Sil-" Cinder tried to say before seeing the two run towards them and, to her utter shock, latched onto Raven with hyperventilating breathing.
"Mother!" Yang yelled while Raven felt something was completely off about this entire situation. "We need to run! All of us!"
"What? What-"
"Please!" Ruby yelled while pointing upwards. "Everything is crazy!"
Cinder raised an eyebrow before, in her curiosity, asked the fatal question. "What exactly is crazy up there? My minions?"
"NO!" Yang yelled before hearing a grow; from behind her and quickly turned around towards the broken elevator.
"Grrrrrrr." Illa growled while her right arm was mangled and her right eye dangling from its socket.
"Cannibal zombie faunus!" Ruby screamed while pointing to the faunus, her Huntress instincts nullified from the shock and terror of her faunus friends becoming literal monsters in front of her.
"Roar!" the chameleon faunus roared before charging towards the group, the Fall and Spring Maiden's eyes glowing red and orange respectively as the screen-
WOOOOSH!
Ignited into flames, the sound of broken bones and slashing swords ringing out as everything burned away into nothingness.

Bio: In this timeline, during the aftermath of the Battle of Haven, Blake Belladonna and the Menagerie guard arrived in the city to stop High Leader Adam Taurus' terrorist attack on the city and would have apprehended the faunus if a sudden thunderstorm didn't form over Mistral, which unbeknownst to the citizens below, would change the world for the worse. For within that storm, riding on the numerous ice crystals, were a previously unknown species of parasitoid wasps called the Ghul-Shi, which utilized the ice crystals and the resulting rain formed from them, to release their eggs onto an individual's skin, allowing them to seep into the bloodstream before the larvae hatch, due to a fast gestation period, and burrows into the host's brain. Once attached to the host's brain, it affects that person's DNA and RNA, more specifically the Faunus Gene (Gene 2156-FA), and shuts down the host's higher brain functions while increasing their aggression, turning them into mindless cannibals that feast upon anything nearby, to allow the larvae to grow from the protein rich flesh until it develops into it's wasp form, where millions of Ghul-Shi fly out of the host's mouth and lay their ends in the clouds to start the cycle again…at the cost of the host's life. Unfortunately for the inhabitants of Mistral, the faunus population, including Sun Wukong, the first to be infected, went into a frenzy, killing anyone they saw with deadly efficiency as the Kingdom became a hive for the Ghul-Shi, a plague upon Remnant as their eggs spread across the globe by both infection and natural reproduction. If there was one small relief for this world, it's the fact that the Ghul-Shi Plague can only infect those with the Faunus Gene….but in the end, no one is safe as Faunus Gene is found in all sentient life and can be in anyone, young or old, and for this world, the only law is the Faunus' hunger, the plague that knows no fear or mercy. How ironic, it wasn't the Grimm or supernatural forces that led this world to ruin, but a simple common place parasite.
