The screen began to bubble and boil as the familiar silver door rose from it's depths, the thick purple chains corroding and breaking apart as the door opened up and bathed everything in dark purple.

From the tainted light, came a single red eye that glared at the screen before the door slammed shut and everything became static, a crumbling rose symbol appearing every so often as the title began to form.

The Ruinverse: Chapter Sixty Five, Beyond The Void.

-Remnant, Grimmlands, Evernight Castle-

Wooosh.

"Oh gods." groaned out a voice from within the dark purple castle, seemingly exhausted and in a bit of a stressful mood as they sat on a throne of pure Gravity Dust crystals. "The heat is unbearable!"

This figure, revealed to be a tall marble skinned woman with long bleached pale white hair that was tied in the back by a large bun and six long offshoots held together by curved obsidian ornaments, jet black sclera eyes with dull crimson irises, pale purple veins on her face and arms, a black diamond marking on her forehead, a G cup chest and wide ass, long jet black nails, wearing a very long short sleeved black robe that obscures her feet and partially drags across the ground, a curved dark red trimmed high collar that bordered the outer edge of a narrow eye shaped window over her bust, a long shawl emblazoned with three interconnected maroon vertical elliptic eye-like sigils above a series of maroon diamond emblems, a black beetle-like ring on the right hand, and small black flats, who was completely drenched with sweat as she slouched on the throne in an undignified way.

This is Salem, the cursed immortal, the Queen of the Grimm, and at the moment, the world's most overheated woman on Remnant.

"Ah….ah…..Watts told me it was going to be cold today, not Vaucoian heat wave weather!" she groaned while wiping the sweat from her brow. "Just why is it so fucking hot!?"

As she felt her body temperature rise, as it had for the last few minutes, she recalled the very odd occurrences that her Creatures of Grimm have 'reported' to her via her mental command over them.

The sudden warming of the Solitas continent.

The strange appearance of a 'lense' hanging over the planet's atmosphere.

The collisions of millions of asteroids on the Mistral continent.

Yet, this was all 'insignificant' details in her larger plan of divine suicide, however….things went from bad to worse after the four hour mark of this 'heat wave'.

For in a single instant that marked the complete change in Remnant's vast history…..

The moon, broken by the gods in the ancient past, a reminder of her own feud against the injustice and wrong made to her by childish gods, was destroyed by a cosmic collision, sending shockwaves across the sky and sending a rain of meteors that decimated nearly all of southern Vauco along with northern Vale and Vytal.

Towns, cities, settlements and ancient lands of old were wiped from the face of the planet's surface over the course of thirty or so minutes. An accomplishment that she could not take credit for, as how could she when she had absolutely no idea why the moon blew up in the first place.

"Another god? No, this world is nothing but a remnant to their plans." Salem groaned while feeling her curse nullifying the broiling pain in her blood. "And even so, why blow up the moon? It's…not that significant." 'Not to me anyway, but for those second rate humans….it is like hitting them with a hammer. Painful and traumatizing if hit in the right spot.'

BAM!

BAM!

Salem looked towards the nearby window, seeing a rain of asteroids crashing into the wastelands below, knowing that they haven't been stopping since the moon was destroyed and possibly would not stop at all. "I can just imagine the Kingdoms being transformed into lifeless craters right about now. Good, I really want Ozma to be crushed by one of them."

As she fanned herself with her left hand, she recalled once more the devastation of the world, seemingly coming from the skies once more.

For within a few hours after the loss of the moon, a massive bright light, in the form of a hallucinogenic aurora, formed all over the planet and the stars vanished from all perception, leaving the world in a bright void for a moment before suddenly entering a period of darkness thicker and more devastating than the claustrophobic embrace of a subterranean cavern.

The mesmerizing light show and eventual lack of visible light momentarily made the immortal half crazed from confusion before regaining her 'sanity', her attention returning to the increasingly hot climate of her kingdom of the dark.

The sun never rose and without the moon to light the way, all was akin to primordial darkness, yet for the immortal, she was able to encase her entire castle with a protective barrier of magic that allowed her to see, via fireballs floating near her body, to protect her from the affected landscape outside.

"I should've used ice magic as well….oh this is…..too hot!" she groaned while the ground began to shake under her feet.

Rumble.

Rumble.

RUMBLE!

RUMBLE!

"AH!" she cried out before falling on the ground face first, her entire castle starting to shake as the crystalline stone foundation began to form deep cracks and crumble all around her. "What the? How!? I made sure to reinforce them with the strongest magic!" 'No meer quake could do this!?'

WOOSH!

"GAH!" Salem cried out as the lights suddenly brightened to unnatural levels, momentarily blinding her as the ground continued to shake, seemingly increasing in strength and power with every passing second. "What the!? Damn God of Light!? Why….wait, why is it so bright now!?"

As she groaned in pain, her senses overwhelmed by the unusual lights entering her irises, the land outside her now ruined castle began to open up, revealing deep fissures of molten magma that consumed the spawning pits and sent everything falling down into the abyss.

RUMBLE!

RUMBLE!

RUMBLE!

RUMBLE!

RUMBLE!

RUMBLE!

RUMBLE!

RUMBLE!

Screams 'rang' in the mind of the immortal 'witch', all coming from the Grimm scattered across the world, all of them crying out in pain and confusion as many of them were destroyed by various natural disasters and ramped up to the most extreme percentage.

Earthquakes capable of destroying entire mountain ranges.

Floods that wiped away everything including the luscious forests of Vale.

Enormous tsunamis that sank Menagerie and its sister islands into the churning depths of the seas, along with coastal areas such as Argus and inland cities like Wind Path.

Rising rivers that 'flew' out of their banks and wiped away the entire Mistral Kingdom in a single great deluge.

The sudden receding of water that left many creatures, aquatic Grimm including, flopping on the increasingly hot surface to broil a slow agonizing death.

All across the planet, the Grimm cried out in terror and fear, something never felt before in their long life on ths planet, all calling to the same thing for 'salvation'.

The God of Darkness, their creator.

They cry for his mercy, they cry for his powers, they cry for the god that left them with an 'unwanted sibling' species.

They wanted hope in this darkened hour.

"Quiet! QUIET!" Salem screamed while trying to process the noise and her current surroundings, hoping to get the situation under some form of control so she can find a way to 'fix' the situation. "I said quiet!"

RUMBLE!

BOOOM!

The immortal stumbled from the sudden explosion as outside her protective bubble, a massive volcanic eruption occurred from out of nowhere, sending a shockwave that nearly broke the barrier and sent ash and smoke flying in every direction. "What!? But how, I made sure this place was stable!" 'What is going on with the planet!?'

The cries of the Creatures of Grimm, once the most terrifying force in creation, echoed in the immortal's mind, all reporting the sudden and violent appearances of volcanoes across the world, erupting in both the land and the sea, vaporizing everything in their paths and turning the Grimm into melted tar instantly.

The Kingdoms of Vale and Vauco were no more, buried in lava and broken debris as fire consumed their remains, the victims of an explosive end.

"What is…ah….ah…" Salem gasped, confusing her greatly as she noticed the sky above her was….being sent flying towards her direction in the form of a massive windstorm, breaking stone and crystal in its path as she became unable to even breathe properly, even with her immortality. "Ah…ah…" 'Now the very sky is turning against me!? Gods, what else can go wrong!?'

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

The wind, a gale of destructive potential, ripped apart the lands once called home to the Grimm, sending chunks of stone and tar flying into the sky as magma flew out of the fissures and started melting the landscape into a blackened landscape of heat and fire.

Yet this was small comfort to the immortal, who, even in her protective bubble of lost magic, could feel the burning air igniting her lungs like tissue paper, her curse working overtime to keep her from being completely destroyed by the firestorm.

'The pain….the pain…..why won't it end!?' she thought, her body suffering a fate worse than death itself, a fate she craved even more as the world burned around her. 'Why can't I die in peace!?'

As the winds began to fade away, deep purple and blue lights began to obscure the immortal's eyes, warping her perception of sight as she, at last, heard nothing in the back of her mind. However, it was small comfort as the immortal's body began to feel like lead, unable to move even an inch as the ground began to crack around her.

CRACK!

CRACK!

CRACK!

The immortal's eyes widened as the entire ground began to rise, seemingly flying away from Remnant's crust and towards the now looming blackness that is oblivion. 'No no no! Stop! I command you! STOP!'

TWANG!

Using a blueish green magic powered string, produced from her right hand, she tried to anchor herself to the ground in a desperate attempt at survival, somewhat oblivious to the fact the entire land was being 'sucked' away like a vacuum into the now large circular 'hole' in space.

'I…I will not be taken! I will-'

SNAP!

Her eyes widened as the string snapped, the magical barrier finally shattering to pieces before falling into the singularity, her body becoming weightless for a moment before finally getting pulled away from the planet's surface. 'NO!'

As the millenia old witch moved farther away from the former castle, she saw to her horror, the entire planet's surface, now cracked and broken beyond repair, being crushed, shattered, warped and bent like clay into the invisible void, water and magma moving quickly towards her direction like rivers of floating liquid in the vacuum of endless space.

'NNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOO!' Salem 'screamed' in her mind as she fell into the void, her body twisting and breaking apart at the atomic structure as everything went black.

(Several moments later)

Darkness, all was darkness as the camera struggled to move away from the umbra, eventually moving away and revealing a massive circular hole in the fabric of reality, surrounded by a ring of bright light, 'moving' across the vacuum and away from the camera's line of sight.

All that remained was nothing.

Nothing to recall or remember the world known as Remnant, no one to remember the struggles between good and evil.

No one to even know the story that was never finished.

The stars lit up the darkness once more, distant planets dotting the farthest reaches of cosmic order, all at the mercy of a grand design.

Yet, in that distant space, a glowing orange light could be seen, slowly forming and fading with every second, a dazzling light show to no one.

As the camera zoomed closer, the lights soon revealed themselves to be Salem, the immortal, the survivor, the 'lucky one', floating in the vastness of space, her body constantly dying and regenerating from the combination of bombarding radio raves, intense radiation and airless void.

A place where no one can see her suffer.

'AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!' she 'screamed' in intense pain, her body rapidly regenerating her lungs and skin with every passing second as the screen suddenly went black.

Semblance(s): None (Due to being born from a time before semblances existed)

Bio: In this timeline, the world of Remnant continued, unabated, to orbit around its yellow sun, unaffected by the internal struggle of Grimm and its prey, humanity and the faunus, or its hidden machinations between the immortal Salem and the reincarnating Ozma. Overall, it is a rather boring and unimportant world in the grand cosmic orchestra called the universe…yet that all changed when a passing black hole, called by scientists as V-OD.9, entered the solar system and began absorbing everything into its event horizon. Due to the nature of Remnant's atmosphere and the Four Kingdoms' limited exposure to space exploration and research, no one saw the approaching danger until it was far too late. Within a single day, the intense gravitational pull ripped Remnant part and destroyed all life upon its surface, the sentient species unable to escape or protect themselves from the black hole. Only Salem survived the event, finding herself floating in the middle of space, unable to die and unable to escape the dense vacuum of the void. In a way, this is one fate not even Salem wanted…to be stuck between the Ruinverse's many cracks, all beyond V-OD.9's 'merciful' influence.
