The screen began to bubble and boil as the familiar silver door rose from it's depths, the thick purple chains corroding and breaking apart as the door opened up and bathed everything in dark purple.

From the tainted light, came a single red eye that glared at the screen before the door slammed shut and everything became static, a crumbling rose symbol appearing every so often as the title began to form.

The Ruinverse: Chapter Sixty Eight, Trivial Swap.

-Remnant, Sanus, Vale, Valeian Sewers-

Drip.

Drip.

Putrid fumes permeated the darkened brick laid sewers as water dripped from overlapping metal pipes on the ceiling, the murky wastewater flowing down the carved out pathways into various tunnels that stretched for miles in every direction.

A disgusting place for anyone unlucky enough to either live or fall into on a regular basis, yet….

Wooooosh.

For one such visitor, it was a road to their destination, even if it smelled like a Creep Grimm's backside.

Wooooosh.

In the distance, flying over the disgusting sewer waters, was a short fair skinned woman with short neck length brown hair sporting small pink tips, a pink left eye and a silver right eye, dark pink eyeshadow, a D cup chest and small ass, wearing a black blouse with a single long detachable heart shaped cuffed sleeve on the right arm that allowed her left arm to be exposed, a red waist cincher with black lacing on the sides, a pink sleeveless shirt with black hearts stitched into the sides of the collar, thin pink ribbons attached to the right shoulder, a black choker with a pink heart stitched into the center, a long red hooded scarf-like cloak that trailed down to her feet and were fastened to the shoulders by metallic pink heart pins, white gloves with pink ribbons on the knuckles, a red layered skirt with pink tulle underneath, a red belt with a bronze heart buckle in the center and two black pouches on the sides, knee high white stockings with tiny pink heart emblems on the sides, black heeled pink soled combat boots with pink lacing, and holding a six foot tall black metallic parasol with thick red lines going up the staff and towards the eight curved ribbed tips at the very top, a purple translucent fabric around the insides of the tips and gray circular spiral lines running down the staff, in her left hand as she floated down a rat infested tunnel with a serious look plastered on her face.

Wooooooooosh.

The ends of the parasol glowed bright purple as the girl scanned the tunnel, looking for something as she made sure to avoid the putrid water below or avoid the enlarged spider nests above her.

As she moved deeper and deeper into the tunnel, she noticed a small rectangular door with a single circular crank in the center at the far end of the tunnel.

Unfortunately for the girl, it was guarded by two members of the White Fang, one with donkey ears and the other a rooster's comb, each one holding either a spear or an ax in their hands.

"Ugh….I hate guard duty." muttered the donkey eared girl as she stabbed the ground with her spear. "I should be hunting down humans, not guarding a…..human. Ugh!"

"It's part of the job." the rooster comb man said while throwing his ax into the air and catching it several times with his right hand. "Besides, you were the one that decided to leave the Belladonna family for the White Fang lifestyle."

"How was I supposed to know that I'd be working with a human!?" she snapped in anger as the shorter girl floated towards them, undetected. "Especially one that somehow made Adam Taurus, the most heroic-"

"Debatable."

"Most heroic faunus in Vale, into a sniveling cry baby with her metal bending powers. I mean she literally turned an entire truck into a mechanical Grimm in a matter of seconds!"

"And don't forget about the train."

"Don't get me started on that shit! She just, with a snap of her fingers, turned a Steam Dust powered train into a SNAKE! A fucking SNAKE in a matter of seconds! Just what kind of semblance does that!?" she yelled in disbelief as her ears twitched. "And her 'charisma', if you can call it that, somehow made the Protector of Vale her little puppet!"

"Oh yes, I still can't believe that happened. But hey, better her than us." the man shrugged before noticing something coming closer and closer to their direction. "Wait….is that….a parasol?"

"A parasol? Down here? Must be someone's trash."

"No it's not trash….it's…" he muttered before going wide eyed as the parasol sped towards his direction. "It's he-"

BAM!

The donkey eared faunus quickly turned to see her partner's face getting bashed in the face by an oversized parasol as purple energy appeared next to her, forming….two of the intruders. "Eh!? What-"

BAM!

She groaned before seeing the extra 'clone' bashing her on the face with the parasol, the main intruder swinging her weapon at the rooster faunus' legs, breaking them before knocking him out cold with the butt end of the staff. "Why are you doing this-"

POW!

And cue the faunus getting knocked out by the 'copy's' bladed weapon, sending her to the ground as the two intruders looked at each other with a smirk.

"..."

"..." the second girl waved to the main girl, giving her a fist bump before vanishing in a burst of purple glass pedals.

The girl silently chuckled before looking at the door, her single silver eye glowing brightly before sending a small beam of energy at the hinges.

FLASH!

Turning the metal into stone, allowing her to kick in the door with her left foot, as she pulled a small hidden lever inside the parasol's staff.

Clank.

Clank.

Clank!

Quickly transforming it from a massive parasol into a long curved black sickle with a gray handle, purple lines going down the hilt and a long gray chain-like coil that wrapped around the entire left arm, in an instant.

Click.

Click.

Click.

The girl's eyes darted across the room, which was filled from top to bottom with deep purple curtains, strange eye-like emblem on the walls, a blackboard with several paper images of Vale and its surrounding towns and establishments, and several metallic bookshelves filled to the brim with unknown tomes of questionable antiquity and age, while making sure no one else took notice of her 'shuffle' outside.

Yet her fears faded away as she looked at the dark purple king sized bed at the far corner of the room, purple curtains trailing downwards and obscuring a sleeping figure inside it.

"Zzzzzzz." snored the figure as the girl smirked to herself, moving closer and closer to the bed as she raised her weapon above her head.

For her, this was necessary, a need greater than her own morals or her pride. It was a necessary evil in the grand scope of the world, a moment that would keep Vale from falling to the darkness.

It was all for the greater good of all.

As the shorter girl moved towards the edge of the bed, she hesitated slightly, seeing the sleeping figure's rising and falling chest, a peaceful existence that could be snuffed out in an instant without anyone noticing or caring.

Yet this was….painful for her, more painful than anything else in her later career as a Huntress. She had morals, very good ones, yet….how could she, a proud symbol of Vale, kill a defenseless person in their sleep.

No. This was necessary, for even when sleeping, the figure had enough drive to destroy anyone that crossed them, it was….needed for the continued survival of the Kingdom of Vale.

"..." she closed her eyes, taking a silent deep breath in the process, before plunging the blade through the figure's neck, blood spraying on her entire right side as the sickle sliced through the jugular and back.

The body, still unmoving despite their neck being ripped open, slowly breathed less and less as the girl began moving away from the bed.

Ping!

Only to turn to her right and saw a red Scroll lighting up and a Hard Light Dust powered hologram forming right next to the girl via the camera lens.

As the hologram began to materialize, it took the form of a tall muscular fair skinned woman with short neck length red hair sporting two long curled ringlet strands that went to her chest, green eyes with violet eyeshadow on the far lower corners, violet lipstick, a D cup chest and wide ass, long dark yellow nails, a black diamond shaped mark on her forehead, wearing a black sleeveless tank top with a rhombus shaped opening over her cleavage, a crimson red deep purple lined sleeveless hooded robe that covered her head, a dark red gold lined shawl that ended near her knees, a large black choker-like gorget with a amber gemstone in the center, long thin gold chained earrings with two small teardrop-shaped onyx gemstones at the ends, white sarashi wrapped around her chest, long white bandages on her arms that dangled down to the hips, two gray pauldrons with a red spear emblem etched into the centers, two black bands with five green feathers on each arm, short red fingerless gloves with purple crystals on the cuffs, a black ankle length sash with dark brown tips, a small red belt hanging on her left hip with a small red pouch, a dark brown hip length skirt, black thigh high gold lined greaves, thigh black gold lined cuisses, black knee length light brown lined pantyhose and black high heeled geta, whose expression was that of satisfaction and delight.

"If you are watching this, Trivia dear, then you have successfully killed me, Pyrrha Nikos, in some form or fashion." she said with a chuckle. "Saving the day and making the city peaceful once more….yet you haven't stopped the inevitable. Oh no, not by a long shot."

The now named Trivia blinked in confusion as the hologram started waking in a circle.

"The plans, the ones involving using Dust bombs to detonate the fault lines of Vale and then allowing it to sink into the resulting crater, all false." she said with a smirk, causing Trivia's eyes to widen. "A little bread crumb trail for you, which I'm surprised you took, then again you are a gullible child with delusions of heroism. It wasn't that hard, given you thought I was a simple debt ridden beggar when we first met, it is just so humorous to have you realize my plans at the tail end of your 'partnership'."

The girl narrowed her eyes while raising her sickle towards the Scroll, only to stop midway as the hologram turned to face her with a grin.

"My true plan wasn't to destroy Vale with Dust bombs, but use you." she said while stopping in her tracks and rubbed her hands together with a dark cackle. "As the instrument for my mistress' grand plan. And I have to thank you for bringing that plan to fruition, yet you must be thinking 'How did I help the plan succeed?'. 'Didn't I just kill you?'. It's simple my dear."

Trivia raised an eyebrow while noticing the hologram was glitching slightly, black boxes forming near her eyes and limbs.

"I imported my mistress into implanting a satisfying demise to anyone foolish enough to kill me, grafting an experimental Hard Light encased Gravity Dust powered bomb within my heart." she cackled as Trivia's eyes widened in horror. "Once it goes off, the resulting explosion will create a singularity only matched by the gods of legends, dragging everything into a painless death worthy of my mistress. Operation Valeian Explosion, or should I say, Operation Remnant Implosion, the reward for all your tasks of espionage and management over the last few months. For that I am thankful, but don't try to stop the countdown."

Ping.

The girl quickly turned to the now deceased body as a pinging sound was heard in the background, growing louder and louder with every passing second as Pyrrha started to laugh maniacally.

"It was already finished during our little talk. Now, goodbye Trivia Vanille, if we ever meet again in a different life, I only hope you have a less than fortunate existence, one where you suffer and burn for no reason other than blind fate. As for me, this is my fate and I live for it! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Woosh!

And like that, the hologram dissipated as Trivia tried to reach towards the corpse, hoping to destroy the device before the inevitable explosion.

KABOOOOOOM!

Yet, just like that…..everything faded to black as the screen gained a dark purple static.

However, its main weakness is the inability to maintain the illusions for more than a few minutes, as constant use can severely damage the user's aura and lead to 'aura degradation'.)

Bio: In this timeline, the world of Remnant is…considerably calmer and more peaceful than in the RWBYverse, allowing several factors to play out in different unique ways, although some of them are strange at best. The first factor is that the Vanille family never broke apart due to Jimmy and Carmel Vanille being honest and kind parents to their daughter Trivia, taking into account that their own plans for Vale criminal underworld would just lead to her resenting them and for their general desire to raise her with respect and kindness. This single action allowed Trivia to flourish and become a way of sunlight in the Vanille estate, a heavy contrast to most Ruinverse or RWBYverse timelines involving the Vanilles. The second factor is that five select individuals had their personalities swapped and altered with five other beings, causing that timeline's events to be drastically altered due to the personality changes. These individuals were as follows: Blake Belladonna, the ruthless and slightly suave mobster of the Menagerie coastlines and her counterpart, the guilt ridden and quiet Haven Professor of Culture Roman Torchwick. The hotheaded and cocky brawler of the Schnee household and overall destructive Huntress of Atlas, Winter Schnee, and her counterpart, the cold and authoritative Huntress of the Xiao Long household, Yang Xiao Long Branwen. The benevolent and humility filled headmaster of Beacon Academy Arthur Watts and his counterpart, the arrogant and pride driven immortal Ozma/Ozpin. The insane and hate fueled assassin of Salem, Pyrrha Nikos, and her counterpart, Cinder Fall, the kind yet honorable Champion of Atlas. And, the last of the five, the manipulative yet troubled child of the Xiao Long family, Ruby Rose, and her counterpart, the happy and optimistic Huntress of Vale, Trivia Vanille, who graduated from both Lady Browning's Preparatory Academy For Girls and Beacon Academy at the tender age of fifteen, making her the youngest Huntress in Valeian history, although she unfortunately never had a team due to miscommunication and general 'fear' of the Vanille family name. Through the use of her GDPPS (Gravity Dust Powered Parasol Sickle) and her semblance, Over Burst, she is able to protect the city of Vale from all criminal activities, allowing the citizens to think of the Vanille as 'Vale's Protector' and consider her a celebrity, even if she does have a glowing silver right eye that occasionally turns people into glass. Yet, even a heroine can fall into a bad crowd as one day, she discovered Pyrrha Nikos at a bar and, thinking the woman was in debt, offered to help the Mistrali woman, only to become tangled in a deep web of criminal activities and conspiracies, ranging from locating Dust to securing the aid of criminal families for a maddening plan, to destroy Vale itself using Dust laced bombs to blow it all to kingdom come. Once she learned the truth about her activities, via using her semblance and espionage training to locate deleted or near destroyed information on Operation Valeian Explosion, she decided that Pyrrha Nikos was too much of a threat to Vale's safety to be given over to the police or the Huntsmen, thus using all her abilities to their maximum potential, she infiltrated Pyrrha's inner chambers, located just inside a hidden bunker in the Valeian sewers, and kill the woman in her sleep. For the greater good of all Valeians, the assassin had to be destroyed, yet when she plunged the sickle into the woman's neck, it is revealed, via a pre-recorded Scroll message, that Pyrrha Nikos gave Trivia false information about her destruction of Vale. The Dust bombs were just a distraction, meant to keep Trivial from finding out the truth until the last possible moment, and that her true plan was to allow the Huntress to kill her, as placed near her heart was an experimental Hard Light and Gravity Dust bomb, surgically placed there by her 'mistress' and set to detonate with the power of a 'god' upon her death, taking both Vale and all of Remmant in a single explosive implosion of unfathomable power. Thus, as the entire planet is consumed by a Gravity Dust Explosion, one similar to that of a black hole, Pyrrha Nikos laughs at her triumph over her 'nemesis', knowing that she had 'fate' on her side in the end. In the end, having one's personality swapped with another was just trivial in the grander scope of this now ruined world's death.
