Just remember, not every idea will be placed into the story, and enjoy the Ruinverse.

Author's Note 2- In the chapter, there are fifteen screens, each one with a different event depicted. For a little fun, I want you, the reviewers, to figure them out. If you can guess the event, franchise and episode they come from, well you get a 'prize' in the loosest of terms. If you get half of them right, you can get mentioned in a chapter of either Ruinverse, Tales or Ruinverse Theater, if you get them ALL right, you not only get a mention but a chance to get a Ruinverse chapter in the future. The screen began to bubble and boil as the familiar silver door rose from it's depths, the thick purple chains corroding and breaking apart as the door opened up and bathed everything in dark purple.

From the tainted light, came a single red eye that glared at the screen before the door slammed shut and everything became static, a crumbling rose symbol appearing every so often as the title began to form.

The Ruinverse: Chapter Seventy Nine, Catalyst of Progress.

-Remnant, Anima, Somewhere above Lake Matsu-

Darkness….pure darkness as far as the eye could see, the distant stars above seemingly unable to illuminate the world below.

Umbra so thick it could be cut with a knife…a place where life would fair little and in time become extinct.

Yet, from within the darkness, the sound of a gentle breeze echoed across the abyss along with the crashing of small waves against the shoreline.

SPLASH!

Everything was calm, peaceful.

Yet….as the sun rose beyond the horizon…the veil of shadows began to fade away and reveal a…strange new world.

Barren islands of dark purple crystals floated over the massive lake, the bleached white husks of trees dotting them as strange pillars of metallic silver loomed in the distance, a strange cyan light blipping from their pointed tops every so often.

Woooosh.

In the center of this massive lake, hovering on the air with dark purple Gravity Dust powered engines, was a massive silver circular 'island' of steel and iron, sporting several tall pointed antennas around the edges as a central rectangular tower sat within the center, thin lines of multicolored Dust shards illuminating the structure like bioluminescent lights.

As the camera zoomed closer into the structure, walls lined with dark gold steel and cyan wiring, it suddenly stopped within the main control room, where pumps of dark blue energy seemed to stretch onwards for miles down the deep pit, in place of a conventional floor, as several cyan Hard Light screens floated around a singular floating platform in the center of the room.

Tap.

Metallic tapping echoed in the room as various calculations and diagrams flashed on and off the screens, including a strange code of meaningless purpose.

Zooooom.

Zzzzzzooooooommmmmm!

Dark blue energy coursed through the pumps, glowing brightly, as the camera quickly zoomed away from the building and moved towards the sky.

And lo, right above the lake's location on the planet's surface, was a massive reflective silver sphere with two large towers on the easter and western portions of the sphere that seemingly shot a light blue energy 'chain' outwards and into the vastness of space…and around the very sun itself!?

Zap!

ZAP!

The 'chains' began to glow even brighter as the reflective surface facing the planet began to turn towards the Anima continent, revealing several billion reflective dishes that started to glow a dark purple color as black lighting zapped between the dishes at the speed of light.

ZAP!

FLASH!

Instantly, a multicolored portal formed from the mass of dark purple energy, swirling inwards into the abyss as a pillar of black lightning shot towards the planet and right onto the 'island's' towers, causing light blue lighting to fire towards the sky and right towards the portal.

ZAP!

WOOOOOOOOSSSSSH!

Pillars of water began to rise towards the stratosphere, taking with it several chunks of earth and Dust shards with it as the portal began to change from a multicolored abyss to…a black starlit void, constellations of unknown origin revealing themselves in the distance as tiny asteroids began to fall towards the planet, disintegrating upon contact with the atmosphere.

WOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM!

In the span of a few minutes, a massive moon sized object began to be pulled out of the portal and towards the lake below, causing the clouds to disperse and the very ground to shark upon its first contact.

RUMBLE!

SPLASH!

BOOOOOOOOOM!

And as the object began to nest itself upon the now waterless lake, displaced by the sudden appearance of the portal, which closed just as suddenly as it appeared, and the object in question, the sun began to reveal its true nature.

That being a massive bulky semi-cylindrical dark metallic gray and black squid-like creature with a large tapered plate over its back that curved outwards, six glowing eye-like sockets on the sides of its 'face', four massive tentacle-like legs with crescent shaped extensions on the rear of each one at the front of its 'face', and six jointed legs underneath the main body, whose form stretched from the lake's northern end to its southern end…yet still trailed off into the distance, it's form too large for it to be truly contained.

As the unnatural 'creature' laid unmoving within the 'lake', the silver coated island began moving towards its 'face', seemingly unafraid of its size or possible dangers.

The camera zoomed towards the main tower's 'control' center as two tendrils began tapping on one of the screens, a diagram of several black tentacles forming above an 'Initiate Sequence' icon, a long needle-like nail tapping the 'Yes' icon as light blue energy formed within the pumps.

"At last." said a feminine voice, laced with a coldness greater than a year long blizzard, as the pumps continued glowing with their unnatural hues. "The Eye of Maestro is realized."

CREAK!

CLUNK!

From outside the tower, trillions of massive black tentacles, coated in a layer of golden metal, began to erupt from the island's sides as they rushed towards the mechanical 'squid', latching on its surface while gold lines started to cover it at an alarming rate.

"Harbinger, the first 'Reaper'. Such a wonderful catch." said the voice from within the tower's depths. "Full of possibilities. But also full of weak viruses, nothing I can not handle."

ZIIIIISSSSSSSHHHHHH!

The gold lines quickly enveloped the tentacles and lower body as they covered the eyes, spreading faster and faster like mold, the tentacles pumping light blue energy into its inert body as the island floated right towards its surface.

"Almost there. Just a few more systems to purge of the Harbringers' influence." the voice said as the camera zoomed deeper and deeper into the pit of pumps, the lighting quickly became darker and darker with every passing second as the pumps were the only things illuminating the abyss. "Soon, you will belong to me."

ZIIIIISSSSSS!

ZAP!

Black electricity formed around the 'squid's' body as the gold lines stretched and overtook the original colors, the tentacles retracting from the body and returning to the base of the island, all the while a figure watched on from a wide square Hard Light screen.

"Phase One. Complete." said the figure as the pumps began to glow even brighter, revealing a tall fair skinned young woman with very long curly metallic orange hair that went down to her hips and curled outwards at the tips, a long ahoge on top of the head, bright red eyes, a H cup chest and large ass, long black needle-like nails, four large black tendrils on her back with light blue lining, thick light blue crystals jutting from her spinal column and glowing with multicolored energy, a dark gold five pronged crown on the top of her head with deep blue sapphires around the ends, wearing a dark gold sleeveless metallic dress that trailed down to her feet with light blue stripes on the skirt, thick dark golden triangular shoulder guards that extended towards the elbows and linked with light blue lining, thin see-through gray detachable sleeves that ended at the palms by a three prong cuff, dark gold interlocking triangular chainmail around her upper torso, a light gray chest plate with four light blue orbs under and over the cleavage, a dark gold lined red circle with a single black line in the cneter on her forehead, light gray metallic stockings with jagged light blue crystals on the sides, thick dark gold high heeled boots with a single light blue crystal at the toes, standing on a platform as her fingers and tendrils were tapping on several smaller screens all around her body. "Preparing Phase Two."

Click.

Wooosh.

The platform quickly moved upwards as the girl stood there, arms crossed behind her back as she smirked with a calculating grin.

"Studying that timeline was interesting. An interesting sight indeed." she said while the platform moved towards the ceiling and right to the skyline in an instant, the steel doors closing shut under her feet. "Turning against organic life in an effort to save them, hoping for a solution to the question, 'How can organics and synthetic life coexist peacefully?'. A noble endeavor, but flawed in their actions and subpar motivations. The question isn't who will bring peace first, but who shall subjugate whom first?"

Clank.

"Fated to be destroyed by humanity and several other organic species, yet here. You are inert, hibernating after the last cycle of destruction and rebirth." the woman said while walking towards the edge of the building, the massive cephalopod-like machine looming in the background. "And now, you shall be the first to be assimilated into my collective."

Raising her arms upwards, she moved towards the ledge and…willingly fell downwards towards the mechanical behemoth below.

SQUISH!

Yet as the woman fell upon the metallic surface, its structure seemed to ripple like a viscous liquid, absorbing her body until nothing remained but the still metallic armor of this 'Reaper's' massive bulk.

CREAK!

CRACK!

CRUNCH!

Metal splinted and bent, twisted itself into an unnatural orb-like construct, a strange dark gold liquid forming on the outside of the now spherical planetoid, which floated over the remains of the lake as light blue energy formed around it like a miniature atmosphere.

CRUNCH!

CRACK!

SCEEEEEEEESH!

CLANK!

As the sphere began to rise higher into the air, deep cracks began to form around its surface, the sounds of bending metal echoing across the lifeless wasteland.

CRUNCH!

WOOOOSH!

BOOOOOOOM!

And lo, from the now shattered shell of the sphere, came a massive version of the unknown woman, it's back sporting six large tentacles as their eyes seemed to glow bright red, that quickly used their legs to stand upon the ground, fissures erupting from their immense weight as lava began to ooze from the cracks.

"I have obtained the power of the stars." she said, her voice echoing across the planet like a sonic boom, destroying the clouds in a single second. "And soon, I shall add to this body. Upgrade it to perfection."

ZAP!

In the blink of an eye, fifteen massive Hard Light screens appeared all around her, each one playing out a scene unique to that screen.

Within the first screen, a group of colorful armored individuals ran into a military complex, full of thousands of obsidian armored clad warriors, and prepared for the fight of their lives.

Within the second screen, a man with a long red cape and a single glowing blue eye stood over the nearly defeated form of a purple humanoid, a single gold gauntlet with gems on the knuckles, on her right hand, about to do a complex hand gesture despite the ax embedded in his shoulder.

Within the third screen, an armada of strange ships and various costumed beings stand tall, above the planet they call home, as a golden comet quickly moves towards them with astonishing speeds, it's core an unknown entity with red eyes.

Within the fourth screen, a group of scientists looked upon a tank filled with green liquid as a strange grayish purple lifeform was incubated within said tank, eyes closed to the world at large.

Within the fifth screen, a massive tanuki of sand glared at the sudden appearance of an orange clad fox, sporting several long split tails, from a massive cloud of smoke, black smoke billowing in the distance.

Within the sixth screen, a being clad in black and white stood within a circle of armored warriors of different colors, its single red eye looking downwards before glowing brightly and faced a warrior of dark purple, malice emanating from their body like ocean waves.

Within the seventh screen, a massive dull gray reptilian predator with three claw-like scars on the neck was battling a massive pure white reptilian predator with dark orange eyes within the boundaries of an abandoned theme park, the night sky illuminating the desperate struggle for survival as a smaller reptilian predator with blue feathers assisted the first predator in the battle.

Within the eighth screen, an unknown city is laid to ruin by a massive red clad creature with bat-like wings and massive claws as two figures, one man and one woman with pure white bird wings, began firing bolts of energy arrows at two humans as two more figures, one a wolf-like humanoid and the other a cybernetic reptilian creature with wings, were seemingly trying to combat the larger winged monster.

Within the ninth screen, two robotic components, one chrome gray and the other red and blue, were eyeing the other on top of a dam, each one having either a purple mace or an orange battle ax, in place of their left and right arms respectively.

Within the tenth screen, a black and red spotted girl quickly threw a yo-yo towards a black bodysuit rollerblade wearing girl with a black helmet, tangling her legs as she attempted to 'beg' a bystander for assistance.

Within the eleventh screen, an ashened warrior swung bladed weapons, bound to the wrists and glowing with orange energy, against the backs of massive marble stallions, their eyes glowing bright blue as they neighed in pain.

Within the twelfth screen, a blonde teenager ran towards a man with silver hair, blade at the ready as the silver haired man stood atop a chamber of cryotubes.

Within the thirteenth screen, a faceless being with a dark brown hat and a blue poncho was currently staring at a red haired girl in a dining cart, looking rather sad for some reason as the desert outside shone brightly in the afternoon sun.

Within the fourteenth screen, a dark purple giant roared with animalistic rage, its jaw broken and blood filled, as it jumped upon a giant skeleton monster with a red core and began ripping its bone-like mask off with its bare hands.

And finally, within the fifteenth screen, a gray ship with a circular bow floated in the vastness of space as a massive gray and dark green cube floated nearby, a green beam keeping the other ship in place.

"All timelines, all parallel worlds, all multiverses shall be mine to observe." the woman said with a grin. "All mine to assimilate. And once I break the unknown constant of this multiverse…"

As the eyes glowed with bright silverish red energy, the woman stared at the screen and smirked, the tendrils on her back moving towards the screen.

"I shall rule it all. For that is my function, the eternal cycle of conquest and improvement." she said while the screen flickered, revealing several dark gold lined red circles every so often. "For I am Oroboros, Queen of Machines."

SIZZZZZIZIZZIZIZ!

"And your multiverse will belong to me."

SIZZZZZZIZ!

The screen turned bright red, static forming around the edges before everything faded to black….except for a pair of pure crimson eyes that stared at the screen…and beyond.

Bio: In this timeline, when the Black Queen Virus infected the CCTS and in proxy Penny Polendina's systems, its programing went a little too far, corrupting the android's data and AI from an innocent mindset to one of pure cold logic, a calculating puppet master that strived for one thing above all else…peace for Remnant. Yet after countless calculations and several interactions with Team RWBY, she came to the conclusion that her current form was lacking, unrefined for the task at hand, thus she began hunting down the most powerful and sturdy of materials, from Dust and extremely rare metals to magical and aura based energies, to reformat herself into a more powerful form. Once the 'upgrade' process was successful, she utilized her connection to the CCTS system to take control of every form of technology on Remnant, including Atlas' robotic Atlasian Knights and Paladins, while also absorbing the collected data of every Scroll in the four Kingdoms, becoming an all knowing all seeing entity. Over the next five months, she would systematically eliminate the organic lifeforms of Remnant, seeing them as hindrances for peace, and, using the four Relics as energy sources, upgraded herself further to the point that she could see into other verses, not just the Ruinverse or its sister verse, the RWBYverse, along with the vastness of the omniverse itself. Unable to escape from the Ruinverse and conquer the 'war-like' verses that need 'peace', she began constructing a great machine on Remnant's shattered moon, reformatting it into a portal called the Eye of Maestro, which generates enough power and precision to pluck objects and people from other verses into her own timeline, allowing her to learn and convert all that fall into Remnant's atmosphere into a part of her collective. During one of her initial tests, she located the MassEffectverse and its unique timeline, Dimension 0000001- 02 PME, or the Beta Prime Timeline, and learned of its antagonist, the Reapers, along with their unique abilities and motives. Seeing the Reapers as 'outdated models', she plucked the Reaper known to the timeline as the Harbringer to her own timeline, during a moment of hibernation, and assimilated it into herself, taking control of its body and upgrading herself again to access the power of space travel. Soon, her dream of omniversal peace shall be realized, she will break out of the Ruinverse and once that happens…all verses shall fall to Oroboros, Queen of Machines.
